Road to Osaka Part 5: The Rest of the Vacation
(I wasn't sure how to go about the rest of the Amamiya Family Vacation so I'm just going to make this chapter a closing montage that showcases the rest of their vacation and their trip home)
Over the remaining few days of their vacation, The Amamiya Family, along with Mana and Mitsu Kitagawa and Kaito Watanabe, set out to do whatever was left to do in the beautiful city of Osaka, Japan.
Scene #1: The group are at the Kaiyukan Aquarium looking at an assortment of exhibits. They watch the sea lion feeding before exploring the establishment on their own. Kimiko and Kaito are in the 'Japan Forest' exhibit looking at the otters. Ren is taking a picture of Ann as she stands in front of the 'Aqua Gate'. Mana, Mitsu, and Minato are watching the dolphins swim about in the 'Tasman Sea' exhibit.
Scene #2: After the aquarium, they explore the Tempozan Harbor Village. They go for a ride on the Giant Ferris Wheel, like they did on the second day, before eating and shopping at the Tempozan Marketplace and going on boat rides on both the Cruise Ship Santa Maria and the Fast Shuttle Ferry Captain Line.
Scene #3: The group are now seen participating in 'Street Kart Osaka', where they're all racing each other down the streets of Osaka on Go-Karts. Everyone has their own kart, but Morgana is riding with Kimiko.
Scene #4: When night falls, the group is watching a traditional Bunraku performance at the National Bunraku Theater in Osaka. All of them look like they're enjoying the show very much.
Scene #5: At the start of the next day, we see the group exploring the Osaka Castle as well as the park out front. They take plenty of pictures in front of and inside the castle, take in the exhibits inside the castle, and they have some ice cream at the Osaka Castle Park.
Scene #6: They're inside the Osaka Museum of History so they can learn more about the history of this magnificent city, and they're impressed with the attention to detail put into both the miniature and life-size sculptures present.
Scene #7: On the group's last night there, they're eating out at a fancy restaurant where they talk about what the best parts of their vacation was. Kimiko says that her favorite part was singing with Kaito at the karaoke bar. Kaito mentions how he enjoyed the boat rides he took over the course of the vacation. Minato mentioned how he enjoyed the Osaka Castle. Mana says that she enjoyed International Studios Theme Park. Mitsu said that the beach was very fun. Ann said that the aquarium was beautiful. Ren enjoyed the Bunraku Performance. Morgana confided in Ren and Ann saying that the 'go-kart' racing was exhilarating.
Scene #8: The group are back at their hotel suite where they spend the rest of their night having a 'last hurrah' by going night swimming in the infinity pool and having a nice soak in the jacuzzi tub. After that, they ordered ice cream sundaes over room service and watched a movie together. When the movie ended, everyone went to sleep in order to prepare for the long trip home tomorrow.
We end this fanfic with the group riding home in the Amamiya Family Car; their luggage safely stored away in the You-Tow trailer that was still hooked up to it.
Inside the car we see everyone in the same seating arrangements from the start of the story; Ren and Ann in the front seats, Mana, Kimiko, and Mitsu in the middle seats, and Minato, Kaito, and Morgana in the backseats with Morgana in his cat carrier.
As they drive, Ann and Ren take a quick glance at everyone in the seats behind them to see that they're all fast asleep. They smile at the site of their children and their lovers/potential spouses as they slept.
"This really was a great vacation," Ann said to her husband.
"It really was," Ren concurred, "But you know what's even better? Going back to the place and people that we call home."
"Home, there's no place like it," Ann nodded before yawning.
"We got up pretty early," Ren said, "You should get some rest."
"You sure you won't need help getting us home?" Ann asked.
"I'll be fine," Ren said in a reassuring tone.
Ann smiled at her husband before grabbing her travel pillow, wrapping it around her neck and closing her eyes. With Ren being the only one awake in the car, he looks at his sleeping wife, children, cat, Kaito, Mana, and Mitsu, satisfied with how his life turned out.
"My family," Ren thought to himself as he continued driving everyone back home.
