Homeworld, Yellow Palace
Gem Processing
In a large room where large amounts of gems were being shepherded in from the direction of a hallway that led to where Citrine's ship had landed, amongst all of the ruckus and conversations between the crowds of gems picked up from White Diamond's planet of Albus 01, an Olivine could be seen standing atop a grand platform that allowed her to be visible from afar amongst all of the incoming gems being shepherded into the large room. Along the walls were Quartz soldiers with their arms crossed and keeping an ever vigilant eye on the new gems coming in.
The Olivine gem held up a conical device and spoke into it, "I'll only say this once, keep your hands and feet to yourselves until further notification." she began to announced, and gestured to her left, "For the gems that were used for administration purposes, please take yourselves through that hallway and you'll be given an update to your suits for your change in Diamond owner, after which, you'll be led to a seminar on what will be expected of you from now on under the command of your new Diamond."
Olivine then switched her device into her other hand and used her right arm to gesture to the right, "For all you other gems, take yourselves through that hallway, and you'll be processed for combative purposes." she finished announcing, which afterwards the flow of incoming gems conversed amongst themselves a bit while splitting off to their destinations. Olivine continued to keep an eye on the batch of gems that finished flowing in from the entrance to the large room she was in, and crossed her arms as she waited for the next batch to repeat her speech once again to direct the gems to their destinations.
Amongst the batch of gems that were directed to the left, Corundum and Fayalite were part of the group of gems as they walked alongside each other to be processed by whoever or whatever was on the other end of the hallway they were directed to by the Olivine gem. Corundum spoke up first after coming to terms that she was on homeworld.
"Did you see what Homeworld looked like when we were outside, Fay?" Corundum asked her fellow gem from of the same planet as she and Fayalite walked beside each other, Corundum glanced up at her fellow coworker gem she's known for the better part of her life. "It's not exactly how I imagined it would look like if you ask me."
Fayalite shrugged haphazardly with an unimpressed look on her face, and blew a stray strand of her hair away from her visible eye while the rest of her bangs covered her other eye, "It looked okay, at least it doesn't look like a shining white rock with coal at the bottom like our home planet." she remarked with a dry tone as she glanced down at Corundum while walking beside the short gem.
"Nah." Corundum rolled her eyes at Fayalite's assumption, "I bet the lower sections of Homeworld are filled with gem holes, and all of the rest of homeworld is built atop some desolate cave system of caverns." the ruby-like gem mused with a snarky tone.
"Most likely." Replied Fayalite as she and Corundum eventually made it through the hallway with their fellow captured gems that were led into the room for their new duties under Yellow Diamond. "Especially what the rumor has with that rebellion on Pink Diamond's colony having caused a resource shortage to the Diamond Empire." she remarked afterwards.
"Hey!" A familiar voice called out to the two, bringing the attention of Corundum and Fayalite over to see Tephroite and Spodumene, "Fayalite, Corundum!" the Tephroite waved her amorphous arm and hand to greet the other two gems, "over here!" She encouraged the duo to come over and stand with a familiar crowd of gems.
Both gems took notice and split off from the crowd of other gems to converse with the two amorphous type gems, "Tephroite! Spodumene!" Corundum greeted back with a happy expression as she lifted her arm and hand up to greet Tephroite right back, "I wasn't sure I'd get to see you two again!" she remarked as she and Fayalite reached the other two gems.
Tephroite nodded back at Corundum as the two fellow gems from the same home planet conversed with each other, "Well it seems obvious our gem type isn't meant for administration, so I suppose it was inevitable we'd be in the same group of gems to be herded into this room." she noted.
Fayalite chose to speak up at that moment with a quizzical look on her face as she sized the two amorphous gems up and down with her lone visible eye, "Do you two even know how to fight? I've never seen an amorphous gem type get into any type of confrontation within the under city of Ablus." she pointed out with a skeptical look directed at Tephroite and Spodumene.
"Of course!" Spodumene finally spoke up with an amused expression on her face, as her single eye was directed at Fayalite as she stood beside Tephroite, "It's not like neither of us avoided the more roughhousing gems of the undercity, so if push came to shove, neither of us were strangers with having to put down some rowdy gem that was making trouble for everyone else."
"Well…" Corundum began to say as she directed her attention to the stage situated at the back end of the room they were in, "Whatever Yellow Diamond has in store for us and every other gem from Albus 01, hopefully it doesn't involve being stuck in an undercity anymore." she remarked with an annoyed look on her face.
Tephroite nodded her head in agreement, before a loud voice cut the chatter of the entire room, before the sound of loud footsteps stepped across the stage. "ALRIGHT!"
Bismuth Facat h47 cut 7021 was a very proud gem from the h4n20 Bismuth line of gems, she like her many other sister gems were made with the express purpose of creating the finest gem weapons in all of gem history, some of which weapons were more notable than others based on how they looked and operated.
While Bismuth marched herself through the hallway to the auditorium to greet the new gems and mentally figure out how many new weapons needed to be made, she thought back to one her more finer weapons she made for the Commander that had delivered the new batch of gems for Yellow Diamond to practically conscript into her military arm of the Diamond Authority.
The War Knife was her best gift she made at the time to Citrine before she was shipped off to fight against Rose Quartz's rebellion, only to later have to make the commander a new one weapon after she returned; she wasn't sure why, but Citrine had simply told her that she wanted a new blade that wouldn't remind her of the war on Pink's planet.
With that thought aside as Bismuth was on fast approach to the exit of the hallway she walked through, the gem clenched her hands in mild conflicting emotions as she was reminded that one of her sisters defected to Rose Quartz side of the rebellion, and how she created a blade that somehow shattered Pink Diamond. Something was up about the sequence of events that led up to that moment, but unfortunately Bismuth wasn't down there on that planet at the time so she couldn't exactly get a good look at the blade that her sister gem made.
Hopefully Citrine would travel to the planet after the lockdown on the galaxy was lifted and allow her to come with, she needed to get a good look at the weapon if they could find it and figure out how her sister created a blade that was capable of shattering a Diamond of all gems; by all rights, and by her calculations, the force an impact needed was greater than the strength of a Quartz Soldier's ability to swing a weapon into a Diamond's gem. Unlike the rest of gem society, their Matriarch Diamonds were made of more stable properties than other gems, and even their forms could take heavier blows far beyond what a normal gem was capable of taking.
Putting her remuneration on the matter aside for now, she could reminisce more on the matter later, right now she had a job to do.
As Bismuth walked out of the hallway and onto the stage, the lights above highlighted her form; her multi colored dreads on her head were tied back into a ponytail, her height and mass of her form was the same as any other Bismuth, but her inny gem was located on her shoulder; right as she stepped to the center stage in front of the many relocated gems from White Diamond's colony world of Albus 01, her eyes took in the sight and sized up every gem in existence and mentally took measurements of what sort of weapons would fit each gem.
After finishing her mental activity, Bismuth cleared her throat and prepared to yell as boisterous and loud as she could, "Alright!" she yelled with her fists planted at her hips, it did the job quite well as every gem brought their attention to her while silencing themselves with their conversations they had amongst each other.
"Good!" Bismuth spoke aloud, the room carrying her loud boisterous voice with ease as she began to pace along the stage as she greeted the new greenhorns of Yellow Diamond military arm. "I'm pleasantly glad to see you're all acquainted with knowing to shut your traps and allow someone to speak when they need your attention!" she yelled.
As Bismuth paced to the side on the stage, she halted and faced forward while standing on the right side of the stage, "I'll get to the quick end of it, you and by extension the rest of those after you that will be coming later, are all now part of the great military arm of the Great and Magnanimous Yellow Diamond!"
Bismuth then began to pace to the other side of the stage, all the while the audience of gems kept their attention on the boisterous Bismuth gem, "I am here to welcome you here, as well to assess what I'll be expecting from all of you for next few years as the Yellow Corps whip you all into efficient soldiers."
Ceasing in her paces to stand on the left side of the stage, Bismuth folded her arms beyond her back as she glanced down and scanned her eyes across the crowd of gems, "And trust me, once I'm through with you all, you'll be looking back at your past selves and wonder how you became a bonafide coal crusher!"
Pulling out a dull metal chisel to place into the side of her lip and chew on, Bismuth then cross her arms with a smirk, "And don't even think of complaining, you're even lucky Yellow Diamond didn't have Citrine wipe your memories with a factory reset, so count your lucky pebbles you still have a functioning processor in your mind!"
After finishing her chew session on the dull chisel she placed into her mouth, Bismuth pulled it out to show it was now sharp and used it to point at each and every one of the gems in a sweeping motion of her arm, "Now set up and prepare for the next few months of tireless retraining! I'm about to turn you all from dull blades to the cutting edges of Yellow Diamond's military, the likes of which will cut through any enemy without so much of a single sweat. MOVE OUT!" Bismuth yelled while gesturing towards a hallway to the left.
With some murmuring amongst the crowd of gems as they slowly made their way to the hallway and their destination, Bismuth glared and formed her hand into a conical shape to amplify the echo of her voice, "DOUBLE TIME, MOVE IT MOVE IT OR I'LL GET DOWN THERE AND MOVE YOU MYSELF, OR SO HELP ME…" Bismuth yelled, earning the results she wanted as every gem ran off into a sprint.
As Bismuth watched the new gem recruits with a now amused expression, she crossed her arms, "Yup, still got it." she said to herself, while waiting for the next batch of gems to arrive for her next round of welcoming new 'recruits'.
