"We haven't found any wild pokemon yet!" Goh complained.
"Oh, knock it off," Chloe said, annoyed.
Ash, Goh, Chloe, May, and Max were at the harbor, checking out the times for the boat rides.
"Hey, look! Is that a wild Lapras herd?" Goh exclaimed.
A beautiful Lapras herd appeared, with a majestic Lapras in the front that seemed to be the leader.
"Go, Pokeball!" Goh threw a Pokeball at the Lapras leader.
The Pokeball hit the Lapras, then a red light flashed, but then disappeared.
"Huh? Why didn't that work?" Goh said, confused.
"Lapras!" Ash suddenly ran toward the Lapras.
Lapras let out a joyful cry, swimming toward Ash.
"It's so good to see you again, Lapras!" Ash said, hugging Lapras.
"Wait, you know this Lapras?" May asked.
"Yeah, we traveled together in the Orange Islands! It was a lot of fun!" said Ash.
"Well, let's get going then!" Ash said, hopping on Lapras.
"On Lapras? I thought we were going to take a boat?" Chloe said.
"Well, since Lapras is here, we won't have to pay for a boat," Goh answered.
"Oh, well, I guess so…" Chloe said looking longingly at the boats.
"Come on Chloe, It'll be a lot of fun!" Ash encouraged her.
"Alright, coming," Chloe said, climbing on with the others.
"Phantom, we have the Phione egg." said a man.
"Excellent, bring it to me," Phantom said.
Another man brought a blue egg over to Phantom.
Phantom held it over the water, attached something to the egg, then dropped the egg into the water!
"Sir, why did you do that?!" the first man said.
"Obviously, Phione would not lead us to Manaphy on its own will, so I a tracker on it to follow it without Phione knowing. Everything should work out perfectly now, even if those kids decide to interfere."
"This looks like a good place to rest," said May. "I mean, it has a cave for shelter and even a few fruit trees."
"It has a nice ocean view as well," said Chloe.
"Yeah, that too." May agreed.
"Hey guys, come over here!" Max called.
"What is it?" asked Goh.
"It's some sort of egg. Kinda looks like a Manaphy egg." Max said.
The group hurried over to where Max stood.
"It does look like a Manaphy egg," May said.
"How do you know what a Manaphy egg looks like?" Chloe asked.
"Experience," May said simply.
"Hey, the egg is glowing!" Goh said.
They all watched as the egg grew brighter and brighter and floated over to Ash.
Slowly, a body started to take form out of the egg.
But it wasn't a Manaphy. It was a Phione.
