Chapter 4

"So, Phione wants to find Manaphy too?" Goh asked Ash.

"Yeah, so it can find its way back to the rest of the Phione!" Ash told Goh.

"Hey guys," interrupted Max. "We've been here a while, shouldn't we be heading out soon?"

"Come to think of it, we have been here awhile…" Goh said thoughtfully.

"Then let's go!" Ash said enthusiastically. "Lapras!"

While Ash looked for Lapras, Goh decided to check what his next Project Mew mission was.

"Hmm…Investigate the legend of the Chosen One. Never heard of that before." Goh said to himself.

"Hey, Goh!" Ash called, interrupting him. Goh looked up and saw everyone on Lapras's back ready to go.

"Sorry, I was just checking what my next Project Mew mission is," Goh told them as he hopped on.

"Project Mew?" May asked.

"Project Mew is a research project which recruits trainers from around the world, aiming to find and learn more about Mew," Goh told her.

"Sounds cool," said Max

"Um, not to worry anyone, but there seems to be a storm on its way," Chloe said worriedly.

"No need to worry Chloe! Lapras can take us through the storm." Ash said, quoting a certain blue-haired girl.

"Are you sure?" Chloe said doubtfully.

"Well, no," Here everyone seemed to grow slightly panicked. "But don't worry, I believe in Lapras," Ash said confidently.

"Well, If we all drown, We'll know who's to blame." Chloe retorted.

Just then, a few drops plopped onto the surface of the ocean. The rain slowly got heavier and more in number, until it was a downpour.

"Oh, just great!" Chloe said angrily. "Now I'm soaked, and it's all your fault, Ketchum!"

"Hey, first of all, It's not my fault, and second, my name is Ash!" Ash yelled back at her.

"It is your fault, Ketchum!" Chloe responded, Ignoring Ash's second remark. "If you hadn't made us leave the island so soon, we could have all been warm and dry and not stuck in the middle of the ocean!"

"If you ever want to be a Pokemon trainer, you can't always have perfect comfort! If you think this is bad, then you're never going to make it in the world!" Ash retorted. And then under his breath, "At least You've never drowned before."

"Huh?!" Chloe was confused and not sure she had heard him

"No, it's Nothing." Ash quickly said.

Just then May yelled, "Look out!"

A huge wave was coming towards them, with no escape in sight.

"Everyone hold on!" Ash warned them all.

The wave crashed over them, but they all held on tight to Lapras until the wave was gone.

"Phew, that was a close one," Ash said, relieved they were all right. "Everyone okay?"

"Yeah, I think so…Wait, where's Eevee?" Chloe said, looking frantically around for her partner Pokemon.

"I think Eevee is out there!" Goh said, pointing to a tiny speck of brown in the distance.

"Eevee!" Chloe said, very alarmed now.

Just then, Ash leaped into the water, swimming after Eevee.

"Ash!" May called after him, as he disappeared under the waves.

Suddenly, a giant Pokemon rose out of the water with Ash and Eevee on its back.

Goh held up his rotom phone.

"Kyogre, The sea basin pokemon. Kyogre possesses the ability to expand oceans. In ancient times, it came into conflict with Groudon.

"Hey, guys! Eevee's Ok!" Ash called to them.

"So, the chosen one has caused Kyogre to come to him. I wonder what other Legendaries he'll attract." Phantom said, watching through the camera he had placed on Phione. "I can gather useful data on Kyogre, which will help me to capture it!"

"I still can't believe we're on Kyogre," Chloe said.

The group was currently riding on Kyogre, while their Pokemon partners were on Lapras, who was swimming alongside The sea basin pokemon.

"It sure was lucky that Kyogre came just then, otherwise you might not have made it, Ash," Goh said.

"I would have!" Ash said. "Eevee and I would have made it back just fine! Not that I mind you coming, Kyogre," Ash said, turning his attention to Kyogre.

"Hey! Don't be so disrespectful to a legendary Pokemon, Ash! Chloe said.

"It doesn't really matter, Choe," Ash said. "It's not like Kyogre is gonna blow me up or something"

"How do you know it won't?" Chloe asked him.

"It would be a waste of time, since it would just have to bring me back to life again," Ash said casually.

"What?!" Goh and Chloe yelled at the same time.

"Nevermind," Ash said.
