28. Author's Note

So, for those who are reading Angel's Keyblade and are up-to-date with the story so far, you know that I just ended the latest chapter at Disney Castle. My plan was originally to have a few passages in Disney Castle before heading to the next world, however, I'm kinda stuck at to where I want to go next.

There are currently two options I have

Option 1: The next world would be another anime/manga world. Now hear me out before you go straight to option 2. I had planned out this world VERY early on, probably only a few short months after I first started writing The Angel's Keyblade. This would be the only other non-Disney world visited in The Angel's Keyblade (at least in the main story line, since I have considered doing side stories of Hikari and my other OCs visiting anime/non-Disney worlds.) I have a rough draft of the first chapter (the world would only consist of two really long or 3 shorter chapters) and could have the first one up as early as the end of the week. However, here lies in the problem; this anime - called Fushigi Yuugi: The Mysterious Play- is a little on the older side, having aired back in the mid 90s. My concern is that, despite my deep love of the series and this show being well mainstreamed considering its age, my readers here on fanfiction, wattpad, dA, and figment might be confused, probably wondering "What the hell is going on?" in terms of the story plot. I could do a little research and type up a quick summary of "the story so far" sort of thing, or even just direct you guys to the official site for the show, whatever works out best. Now, here's my reasoning for wanting to put this world in the main story line: Putting it bluntly, a LOT happens to Hikari in this world. I am not exaggerating here, folks, and these aren't simple details that can be overlooked. What happens in this world DEEPLY influences Hikari's journey throughout the rest of the story. However, that does not necessarily mean she has to visit this world, which brings us to option 2.

Option 2: The next world would completely jump past the anime world and WOULD be a Disney world, a world that is actually visited in both Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2: Atlantica. However, the way I have it planned out is a little complicated. Now, we all remember from back in DDD that Joshua reminds Riku how different worlds work on different times. Well, I might have taken this a bit on the extreme side; I basically fast-forwarded time in Atlantica to the time frame where The Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea, takes place. Here comes the tricky part though; the way I have planned out this world in my head heavily leaned on a few events back in the anime world. While I COULD go straight to Atlantica, I would have to make some serious adjustments in order to accommodate the events taking place, mainly a big scene where Hikari goes into the ocean to help look for Melody. Now, if you've read Hikari's most recent bio, which can be found here if you haven't /d9x9ged then you remember that Hikari has a DEATHLY fear of large bodies of water, so the idea of her going into the OCEAN of all places seems a little controversial to her bio. However, I can make adjustments so that this won't be an issue and not affect her bio in any way, but that would require two things. One would be that I would need to have Hikari and Riku stay in Disney Castle for another chapter, and two it would be a longer waiting period for the next chapter to come out. The reasoning behind this is that I start school in two weeks AND I just got a new job. This would mean that I will have even LESS time to work on this story, plus the fact I haven't even written a rough draft for how to approach this would take me AT LEAST a month, if not more.

So that brings us to my current predicament. Please let me know what you think. There are no right or wrong answers. I just want to give you guys a chance to voice what YOU want to see in this story.
