In the land of earth, Hidden Rock Village, Tsuchikage's Office
A young man sat behind the desk. His black hair stood up like a palm tree on his head, he had light skin, he wore a red haori, black under with a blue obi, black pants, blue ankle wraps and black shoes. (Think Xeno Goku) He was reading through paperwork, signing and stamping documents he approved and putting what needed to be resolved to the side. This man was Son Kakarot, son of General Bardock of the Saiyans during the 2ndd great ninja war. Kakarot was born towards the end of the 2nd war and grew up through the 3rd great ninja war. He and a few others were disciples of the 4 & 5 tailed jinchurikis Roshi and Han. There was a knock on his office door.
"Come in" he said light heartedly
In came Onoki the third Tsuchikage and Roshi. Onoki had a stoic look on his face and Roshi had a smirk on his face. He looked up and got a big tired smile on his face and stood
"Lord Onoki, Master Roshi, how are you today?"
Rōshi had red hair, a moustache and beard which tapered off to a point. He was shown wearing a large headpiece consisting of a three pointed crown-like ridge, bearing both his Iwagakure forehead protector, a ring, and a prominent black piece of armour running across his cheeks and the bridge of his nose. He wore a long-sleeved magenta kimono shirt and pants, with mesh-armour shirt and fitted black suit underneath, along with calf-length sandals. Around his waist he wore a brown sash that held a brown armour-like breast plate with a pouch in the front, a brown back plate on the back that is connected to the front with mesh armour, and armoured lapels falling to the sides. Interestingly, his headpiece, hair and beard seemed to model his tailed beast's.
Ōnoki was a very short, old man with a triangular beard and a moustache that had angular corners, a big red nose and thick eyebrows. The top of his head was completely bald, although, he had long white hair on the lower-half of his head which is styled in a traditional chonmage hair cut, the back of which was tied with a yellow ribbon into a topknot. Ōnoki wore a split apart green coat divided into four sections with yellow trimmings, and a red collar (which in the anime was seen to be worn by other high-ranking members of Iwagakure).[25] Underneath he wore the traditional Iwagakure outfit consistent of a light green version of Iwagakure's flak jacket and mesh armour. He however had both his sleeves of his shirt, but kept the single lapel on his right side. Along with this, he wore sandals.
"I'm fine, I just heard a rumor from some shinobi and Onoki here heard the same" Roshi said marily
"What's that?"
"Kakarot! You plan to send genin to the chunin exams in the leaf" Onoki said with irritation in his voice
Kakarot nodded with a confident look on his face. Roshi had a sweatdrop on his head as he sighed at the old man.
"Why?" Onoki asked
"Because, I think it's time we embrace peace. I don't believe we should stop training our shinobi, but we don't need unnecessary deaths. The new generation deserves a clean slate."
"Easier said than done. You know how bloodsoaked our history with them is, don't you?" Onoki asked
"I believe he's on the right track, after all the leaf hasn't made any moves to attack us in almost 13 years now." Roshi spoke up
"See, even master agrees with me" Wukong said
Onoki huffed in indignation as he looked between the both of them. He eventually sighed and said
"Fine. You've spoken of this for a long time. I will leave this in your hands as I have trusted you with the seat of Tsuchikage" Onoki said
Wukong smiled at him
"You won't regret it Lord 3rd"
Onoki turned to leave and nodded as he opened the door and walked out. Roshi spoke up after he left
"You know, you're the only one who's been able to get him to change his mind about foreign relations so much. Even when he was Tsuchikage, he let you influence him not to antagonize the leaf and the cloud."
"Yea, I was actually surprised to be name Tsuchikage at first ahehehehe"
"Yea I was surprised too. I thought he'd wait to make his granddaughter Tsuchikage or something"
"Can he even stay as the Tsuchikage for that long?"
"You'd be surprised." Roshi said with a smirk

Teams 6 & 7 had just arrived at the gate and the eternal gate guards Izumo and Kotetsu checked them in. They made their way through the village and to the Hokage residence. As they entered Hiruzen smiled at them.
"I take it that your missions went well" He said blowing smoke as he took a hit from his tobacco pipe
"Well Actually… No…" Trunks said
And so the 3 jonin explained both of the C-rank turned A-rank missions. The Hokage was surprised at how smooth the missions went and he gave them the pay for A-rank missions.
"Well done teams 6 and 7. Genin, you are dismissed" The Hokage said
"Am I still needed?" Trunks asked brashly
"Haha, no my dear boy, you are free to go"
As the genin left, Trunks body flickered away as well making his way towards the Namikaze compound.
"I have other news. It's about Sozu" Kakashi spoke up
Genma and Hiruzen looked at him as if to tell him to go on.
"Sozu has a kekkei genkai"
"What? How did you find this out?" Genma asked
"So it seems he hid it well if you didn't know"
"Dammit Kakashi when did he activate it? Sense you know so much"
"Relax Genma. My suspicion is that he's had it activated a while ago and he probably hid it from his team as well"
"Well, what does it look like?" Genma asked
"It looks like…two red Byakugan"
"This…makes sense. After all, his father was Mukai Kohinata, and he was half Hyuga, remember?" Hiruzen said
There was a calm silence in the room.
"So you believe this is a mutation of the Byakugan?" Kakashi asked
"Yes, and I do believe we should watch him more closely. He could be the beginning of a new bloodline in the village. He is also a leaf on the great tree. We must protect our own and keep him rooted in the village" Hiruzen said
Both Jonin nodded as their Hokage dismissed them.
Trunks reappeared in front of Hiruzen in the kneeling position on one knee.
"Ahh Trunks I thought you were eager to be leaving?" Hiruzen said
"Well we have a bigger problem than Orochimaru.." he said in a low voice
"And what might that be?" Hiruzen said with an eyebrow raised
Trunks pulled out two scrolls and handed them to his Hokage. Hiruzen opened the scrolls and out popped the heads of Cui and Appule and gasped in disbelief.
"Wh-what is this? What are they?" He asked
"I think they might be aliens but that's just a suspicion. They said they were hunting saiyans"
"What? And you're positive?" He asked
Trunks nodded in affirmation.
"Who else knows?"
"Just my team. I made them swear to secrecy. And Kakashi doesn't know but I might tell him and my father"
"That should be fine, but make sure to keep this quiet. I will be putting together a team to deal with these threats shortly" Hiruzen said after a moment
Trunks nodded
"They spoke as of there were more of them and they had these strange communicators on their faces but we destroyed them sadly"
"It's fine, keep an eye out for anything out of the ordinary and be on guard. I fear dark times are coming soon" the Hokage said

As he walked down the streets of the village, Naruto began to see stairs and fear from the villagers. Even though his family was in the village he still received wary and hateful glances. He was irritated that some of the villagers couldn't tell the difference between a kunai and a scroll. Soon he was bumped by a kid in a gray hat and an aqua scarf. He kept walking until he realized he lost a bit of weight on him, then he reached near his back pocket and realized his kunai pouch was gone. He whirled around and body flickered towards the boy immediately and stood in front of him with his hand out.
"Give it back kid" he said with a stoic look on his face
The boy looked at him in surprise.
"Whoa, you caught me just like that huh?"
"Yea, now give it" Naruto said with annoyance in his voice
Kanohamaru handed it to him with a bit of fear.
"Heh, you're the real deal huh? A real ninja"
"Yea kid, why?"
"My teacher is annoying and doesn't teach me much. And every jonin I try to steal from catches me and takes me to him. The genin just pannick and don't realize I took their pouches until they're too far away so I just leave it casually next to wherever they are and watch them cry in relief" Konohamaru said
"So what do you want, kid?"
"My name is Konohamaru Sarutobi and I'd like you to train me!" He asked
Naruto's eyebrow quivered as he looked at him in recognition.
"So you're the old man's grandkid huh?"
"Che, yea but, I am who I am, not just his shadow"
Naruto smiled at the brunette haired boy and decided to teach him for a day.
"Hmmm, I guess I could teach you a thing or two. Meet me at the training ground" he said as he leapt across the buildings and Konohamaru ran on foot to follow him. Naruto kept a slower pace to let Konohamaru keep sight of him.
After landing in the field Konohamaru was out of breath.
"Wh-what the hell! How are we supposed to train when I'm tired"
"If you did physical training you wouldn't have this much trouble"
"Well, my sensei doesn't let me do anything"
"Well, that changes today" Naruto concluded
The entire day they did physical training and chakra control exercises. He instilled hard work and training the basics into the boy as Kakashi had done with him. He let him know that there were no shortcuts to becoming Hokage and then Konohamaru decided he would be Naruto's rival for Hokage instead of his student.
With Sasuke, he was sitting before Itachi and Fugaku as he had his sharingan activated.
"Humph as expected of my son. You'll be on your way to Jonin soon" Fugaku said as he ruffle his hair and walked off. Sasuke smiled at the praise from his father, then he looked toward Itachi, who also ruffled his hair.
"Follow me brother, father intrusted your training to me and your Jonin sensei" Itachi said as he and Sasuke went to the Uchiha training grounds

The 2 days later, 7am Team 7 minus Trunks was in training field 7.
"Sensei, it's too early for this" Naruto said in an annoyed fashion
"Now, now, I've called you all out here for something very important. You will be training for the chunin exams and I think it's time to teach you all elemental jutsu." He handed all of them a piece of chakra paper
"Channel your chakra into the papers" he said
Hinata channeled chakra into her paper and it crinkled up. Sasuke channeled chakra into the paper and it crinkled and burned away. Naruto channeled chakra into his paper and it crinkled, split in half.
"Now that's not something you see everyday. 2 elements on two people, and you all have lightning, I suppose I'm the best teacher for you in ninjutsu."
He pulled out 2 scrolls and handed them to Naruto and Hinata.
"What about him?" Naruto asked
"Don't worry, I'll be teaching Sasuke a technique of my own designing"
Naruto scowled but let it go after a while
"You will be learning these jutsu in the next week and afterwards there will be a survival test against me. I advise you all to learn all the you can in the next 3 weeks, the chunin exams will start afterwards"
They nodded as Kakashi made 2 shadow clones, he sent Naruto and Hinata off with his clones and stood in the clearing with Sasuke.
"Do you remember that technique I showed you on the bridge"
Sasuke nodded
"Good, the version of this I'm going to show you is only usable with the sharingan. I will teach you this hoping that you use it to protect your comrades. Do you understand?"
Sasuke nodded at his teacher in understanding
"Good now activate your sharingan"
He pulled up his sharingan and began to go through hand signs then he began to channel lightning chakra in his right hand.
"This is known as the chidori or in my case lightning blade" He turned to a tree in the field and raced towards it slamming his lightning-covered hand into the trunk tearing through the bark and piercing through the other side of the tree.
As he pulled out his hand from the bark he covered up his sharingan.
"And this is an A-rank assassination technique. It may take out a lot of chakra from you. I myself can only use it 4 times a day. Now it's your turn to try" He said, turning to look back at Sasuke who had a smirk on his face as he activated his sharingan as well.
"And don't worry, unlike the other 2, I'll give you the entire 3 weeks. Unlike you, they were practicing light manipulation in the land of waves, and Naruto in particular was begin trained in lightning manipulation before the team assignments"
This caused Sasuke to take a serious expression, he was determined to keep up and surpass Naruto if possible.
With Naruto
He and the Kakashi clone stood in the field. Naruto opened his scroll to see it said
"Ninja art: Howling Wind blades"
"This is a C-rank technique that can become A-rank, depending how much chakra you put into it" Naruto said
Kakashi held his hand in a blade-like form just like with the lightning blade and he went through one handed signs to where the thumb and pinky were extended and the other fingers were bawled up. Soon wind chakra began to form around him and three blades of wind faintly began to form around him.
"These blades can be considered like extra limbs in you use them right"
"Whoa! That's awesome!"
Kakashi used his hands to gesture the blades and use them like extended appendages"
"This technique burns through chakra at a decent rate. The amount of chakra you use can create more blades but the control becomes harder as well."
Naruto nodded in understanding as he mimicked the hand signs and exploded around him, sending him crashing into a tree. He stood back up and he walked towards Kakashi to stand before him again.
"Too much chakra, Naruto. Don't worry you've got 1 week to get it. Even if you can't get it, you'll be able to learn better control in the next 3 weeks" Kakashi said
Naruto smirked and said
"Heh, I'll get this down in no time. I'll be able to use the wind like second nature heheh"
With Hinata
Hinata opened her scroll and it read
"Lightning style: Electric Discharge" a D-rank lightning jutsu that caused lightning to temporarily burst from her body.
"This technique could work well with your gentle fist technique if you use the Electric Discharge focused into your strikes, making it a very deadly technique. Remember, even a pebble can be deadly if used right" he said
"Oh-okay, so I'll be able to a-add more power to my techniques?"
"Yes, your strength will be able to paralyze them if you're able to get control of your chakra enough and electrocute the opponents chakra points. Now go on and give it a try." Kakashi said
She went through hand signs landing on the snake and called out
"Lightning style: Electric Discharge!"
A layer of electricity enveloped her body for a bit and soon it disappeared.
"That's good. Very good. You're a bit of a natural aren't you"
Hinata blushed under the praise as she was surprised that she got it on her first try"
"Alright, now keep practicing until it's like second nature. That's when the real test starts as you'll be able to practice directing the lightning chakra through your body" her sensei said

Sunset
After they had finished training that day they began to make their way towards the end of the training field. Sasuke and Naruto looked beat after training all day, while Hinata looked a bit better off even though she had bruises and dirt all over her body.
"Haaa…this was…harder than I remember it being" Naruto said
"Now, now, no pain no gain my wonderful students. Also, this is just the beginning. I'll be giving you all extra obstacles during the jutsu training" Kakashi said
Sasuke held a determined gaze in his face as he walked forward quietly, there was something he needed to do. He would learn to fly using his ki and use the chidori before the chunin exams. Naruto had a smirk on his face because he knew that this new jutsu plus the technique his grandfather would teach him would leave him even stronger than any of his peers.
The next day Naruto stood outside with Noridasu who was sitting on the back porch smoking from a long pipe.
"Hey, grandpa Kakashi sensei and Trunks are gonna put me in the chunin exams. Remember you promised to teach me the Hadouken!"
Noridasu blew out some smoke to the side as he smirked at his grandson.
"Alright, alright. A deal is a deal."
He got up and began to walk into the Senju training grounds.
"Hold on a sec gramps" Naruto put his fingers in the cross seal and made 10 shadow clones.
"You guys go practice the Howling Wind blade"
The clones leapt into another side of the forest to go practice in. Noridasu smiled down at his grandson and then he spoke.
"You're learning a new technique eh my boy? You're really something else hahaha. Truly, you're becoming a force to be reckoned with" he said as they continued to walk towards the center of the field.
They stopped and he turned to look at his charge.
"Alright, the Hadouken is not something to be used recklessly my boy. This is some serious firepower you're getting. Use it wisely my son" he said
As they smirked, Noridasu turned away and got into the killing fist stance. He cupped his hands and began to channel ki into them. A shining blue sphere began to glow and winds around him began to twist and swirl. Dust, dirt and smoke kicked up as the ki around him finished gathering.
"HADOUKEN!" he called out as the attack was sent out of his hands
A big blue ki sphere was sent down the field and tore through the atmosphere. The blast made an impact tearing through the trees and made a giant explosion.
"Haaa…haaa…haaa…"
"WHOA! THAT WAS AWESOME!" Naruto yelled
"Hehehehe, there are bigger and better versions of it once you get it down" Noridasu said
"Alright, how do I do it" Naruto asked
"First you practice gathering ki in your hands. Concentrate on the sphere and make sure your ki manipulation is on point. Then you shoot it outwards at your opponent in a projectile format"
Naruto got into his killing fist stance. He cupped his hands and he gathered ki into a small sphere form, then it soon exploded sending him flying into a tree making a smashing sound.
"Ugh! Dammit, that hurt…what is it…with new attacks… sending me into trees" Naruto muttered as he got up. There was another explosion on the other side of the field. He got a wave of memories that he got from one of his clones exploding due to practicing the jutsu Kakashi taught him.
He began to practice the technique and formed the ki sphere in his hands. The blue glow began to cover the field as the sphere became the side of a baseball in his hands. Soon the attack exploded in his hands sending him across the field but then he flipped and landed on his feet as his hands were steaming
"Tsssss! Haaaaa!" Naruto hissed in pain with an angered look on his face
"Hey son, you might want to practice gathering ki in your hands a bit slower. This is a strictly ki based technique. Remember, your light of death technique was chakra based. Light of the Hurricane was created with ki and chakra. There are some techniques that take mastering ki first just like some techniques take only chakra based first."
Naruto nodded at his grandfather as he began to sit and focus inward to gather ki in his center.
"I see, so I should get a better control on my ki first eh gramps?" Naruto asked
Noridasu nodded towards his grandson with a smile.

Neji and Hinata were on their way back to training in the Hyuga compound. They decided to get some lunch afterwards. As they were on the way back, they ran into Sozu who was trying to avoid being seen by them.
"Oh, Sozu, hello! How are you today?"
"I'm…good. It's nice to see you again, "he said, waving and passing.
"Um, Sozu…I was wondering did you have anyone to train with?"
"I'm…fine thanks. I appreciate it but no thank you" he said as he turned to walk away
Neji was silent through the interaction but he realized Sozu's expression was a physode.
'I wonder if I weren't here how he would have responded to Lady Hinata.'
"That boy, his father was a half Hyuga who betrayed the village"
Hinata was surprised as she heard that Sozu was a distant relative.
"Re-really? That may explain his kekkei genkai"
"What do you mean?"
"His eyes were like a red Byakugan instead of white"
Neji raised an eyebrow in fascination
"Interesting, it must have similar abilities to our Byakugan"
As he walked, Sozu noticed that Neji Hyuga was with her. He wanted to challenge him but he knew he wasn't ready yet.
'Heh once I get a good hold on the abilities with these eyes I'll be unstoppable. I'll show those Hyuga bastards and those Uchiha' he thought with a gnarly grin on his face
He walked into the Hidden Leaf Hospital and went to the visiting wing where he met up with Kabuto, who was coming off his shift.
"Yo" he waved at his friend with a genuine smile
"Oh, Sozu, how have you been?"
"Pretty good, I just got home a few days ago and I was in the middle of some hardcore training. How have you been?"
"I can't complain, this place is what suits me. Why have you been putting yourself through hardcore training?"
"I fought Sasuke Uchiha and he's stronger than I thought. But…I didn't use my Sekigan when I fought him. I think if I did I would've destroyed him. Especially with the genjutsu tricks I've been learning"
"Hmm, so you kept up with him even when he used the Sharingan?"
"Heh, I had him on the ropes but he started using some strange form of energy called ki"
"Oh, is that right, he's a ki and a chakra user"
"Yea, do you know about ki?"
"It's an advanced form of lifeforce energy. Most Saiyan warriors use ki and even some humans can use it. They can also use chakra like it's second nature, because ki is more complex"
"Humph, do you know anyone who could teach me the use of ki?"
"There are two saiyans in the village that use ki, they're a part of the Namikaze clan. They might be interested in teaching you. Or one of the Namikaze clansmen in general, they can all use ki and chakra which makes them a major force to be reckoned with"
"Tch, I've heard Vegeta won't teach anyone, and his son Trunks is Naruto's sensei. Fat chance of that happening but I'll figure out a way to learn ki usage" Sozu said with a serious look on his face
"I do believe you'll find yourself a teacher for Ki control. Maybe in the future perhaps"
"Humph, but anyways I was wondering could I train with you for the upcoming chunin exams"
"I'm not sure what help I would be"
"C'mon Kabuto, do you at least know anyone who could train me?"
"I believe I do. Let's get out of here and I'll introduce you to him"
They proceeded to exit the hospital and go to the forest of death.
"What're we doing here?"
"You asked for a teacher and he usually trains here"
Sozu and Kabuto jumped the fence and began to move through the forest. As they went through the forest, they saw the giant animals and the giant trees that blocked out the sun.
'Who the hell trains here?' Sozu thought
Soon they came upon a man in a leaf jonin uniform with tanned skin and short black hair with a goatee. He had a tanto strapped to his back and he had it drawn as he cut through a large boar with his sword.
"Lord Jinsuke, how are you today?" Kabuto asked him as he landed
"I was better before you interrupted my training" he said gruffly
"Well, I found someone who was looking for training"
"Humph, and why can't his Jonin sensei train him"
"My sensei…he thinks we're doing good, going steady with our training but I need to become stronger with or without him. My goal is to become stronger than the Hyuga and Uchiha prodigies. The type of training I need isn't what I'm getting"
Jinsuke raised his hand for Sozu to stop speaking.
"Kid, do you just want this power to harm your fellow leaf ninja?"
Sozu stood his ground
"No, I want this power to protect my home and bring honor back to my family name. I just used those clans as a benchmark to test myself in power. Maybe one day I could bring my father in and get his name cleared or get him brought back and put on probation"
Jinsuke's face soften as he spoke back to him
"Sorry kid, but your dad gave out village secrets. The best thing he could ever hope for is to walk around the village with his chakra sealed as a civilian."
"Wh-what do you mean?"
"It's obvious that he did what he did to save you. So there may be mercy because he's given you a chance to live as one of the most prominent shinobi of your generation, but that's about it kid. If he's lucky he won't be in prison for life or get the death penalty. He probably won't even want to come back because he knows what awaits him if he comes back"
Sozu's eyes were covered by his hair and he looked back up with his Sekigan activated.
"Well, I'll just have to become the Hokage to get him exonerated and bring him back here" Sozu said with a determined look in his eyes
Jinsuke smirked
"That may be your best shot kid. I think I like you kid. Hey, aren't you on my daughters team?"
"Eh? Who's your daughter?"
"Her name is Akino Shimura"
"Whoa! It-It's an honor to meet you sir. Akino is a good friend of mine"
"Good, I'd hate to hear she wasn't making any friends. Every parent loves to hear that after all hahaha. But alright kid, show me what you've got and I'll see where you're good at and where you need to improve at."

Sasuke had dodged a kunai swipe from Itachi as he tried to send an attack back but he was overwhelmed with a kick to the chest sending him across the field.
"Urgh! Dammit! This is harder than I thought it would be."
"You have to get your body up to snuff with the sharingan. Right now we're doing physical training to get you faster. Besides, I heard Kakashi is teaching you his lightning blade. You'll need the stamina and the endurance to maintain the agility and speed for both."
Sasuke nodded as he stood back up and got into his Intercepting Fist stance. He broke into a leap at Itachi, but said Uchiha dodged the punch he threw. The younger raven haired Uchiha tried to do a leg sweep, which Itachi dodged and performed a counter blow with a kick that caused Sasuke to roll out of the way. He drew a kunai and threw it at Itachi who caught the knife and threw it back at him, causing it to knick his cheek as he dodged.
'He's not playing around'
Sasuke drew a handful of shuriken and jumped back from his brother and threw them. Itachi smirked and turned into a murder of crows. Sasuke turned around and blocked a series of punches and ended up getting kicked in the stomach causing him to grunt in pain, but he stayed on his feet. Itachi pursued him in an attack as he dodged the counter punch from his brother, just to elbow him in the stomach.
"Ahuuughh!" Sasuke slumped over his elbow as he dropped to his knees. He carried him back over to the side and let him lay against a tree wheezing from the pain.
"Looks like you're really into your training to still continue through being tired"
"Haaa…haaa….haaaa… I can't….fall behind him."
"So this is about Naruto?"
Sasuke nodded as he caught his breath
"N-no way will I lose to him"
Itachi sighed, then smirked at his brother's determination. He was glad to see that he wasn't satisfied with his current level.
"Just don't burn yourself out," Itachi said as he sat next to Sasuke and ruffled his hair, causing him to scoff and knock his brother's hand off his head.

The next day, all of the Jonin stood before Hiruzen and he cleared his throat and asked
"Who believes that their team is ready for the chunin exams?"
They went through all the teams up to six
"I Genma Shiranui nominate Team 6"
He nodded then looked at Trunks as he spoke
"I Trunk Namikaze nominate Team 7"
Hiruzen nodded and looked over at Kurenai
"I Kurenai Yuei, nominate Team 8"
He continued to nod then he looked at the next Jonin
"I Might Guy, The blue beast, nominate Team 9" he said Heartly
He nodded at him then looked at Asuma
"I Asuma Sarutobi nominate Team 10" he said lazily
Hiruzen nodded
"It looks like we have 5 teams of rookies this year. I assume you've trained them up well to compete in these exams? There are several teams coming from every nation and I've heard that even the son of the 4th Tsuchikage is competing. I suggest you double down on whatever you feel they need to work on for these exams"
They nodded and he dismissed them one by one
"Kakashi, Genma, stay behind. I need to speak with the both of you"
After all the other jonin cleared the room, Jiraiya and Kenji appeared out of the shadows.
"Jiraiya, Kenji, what news do you bring us?"
"Lord Danzo has myself, Jinsuke Shimura and Itachi Uchiha watching Kabuto Yakushi and Mizuki Hozuki right now. Mizuki has been seen meeting with several other ninja from an up and coming village known as The Hidden Sound Village." Kenji said
"And my sources in the Land of Rice Patties, which is where this village is located tell me that this village is run by Orochimaru." Jiraiya said
"Also, Genma, you would be wise to watch over your student Sozu Kohinata. He's a good friend of Kabuto Yakushi" Kenji said
"So we have sights on two insurgents in the village. And we have a good grasp on them as well. Knowing Orochimaru we'll have to keep watch on him and find out what he's doing with this information." Hiruzen said
"I've done some sneaking around in his country and it looks like he's hiring mercenaries and rogue ninja, manipulating them to do his bidding. I believe he's also still doing his twisted experience and using the village as a cover up for them." Jiraiya said
"We fear he may make a move with the akatsuki in the village. After all, he still wants the sharingan remember?" Kenji said
Hiruzen sighed in dismay
"Well, for now, all we can do is watch out for them and stay vigilant for now."
"Well, I'll keep watch over Sasuke and Genma will keep watch over Sozu then" Kakashi said as he chimed in
"Good, good, then we'll disband for now and make sure to keep watch over the students" Hiruzen said and they all left the room.

Later that day
Jiraiya and Kenji made their way through the Senju and Namikaze clan compound and received a mass greeting. Jiriaiya was tackled by Mito who hugged his neck and Tsunade who hugged Mito, Kenji and Jiraiya.
"M-mom you're….k-killing us…" Kenji squeaked out
"We're happy to see you two. After all you've been gone longer than Naruto was" Tsunade replied wiping tears from her eyes
Shizune and Akari smiled and welcomed them home as well
"Hey, I was gone with Naruto…do I not count?" Trunks asked as he came in from training in the backyard Training field in mock hurt
"Of course you count Trunks! I didn't mean to exclude you" Tsunade said with her hands up in defense
"Don't mind him, sometime he acts like a baby" Fune said to ease the fake tension
There was a big *BOOM* sound outside.
"Well I see Trunks is in the compound and Vegeta isn't here, so that's gotta be Naruto" Jiraiya said
"Heh, yea, apparently grandpa is teaching him the Hadouken for the chunin exams and it's Kakashi's turn to be a sensei. So now he's learning a jutsu from Kakashi and a ki attack from Gramps" Trunks said as he sat down on the couch in the living room and picked up "The Tale of the Gutsy Ninja".
"Heh, well when papa gets home we can have our family get together. I think this is the longest we've been apart. It'll be nice to have that togetherness again" Mina said as she helped Fune and Shizune make dinner.
"Guess I'll go see how he's progressing with Gramps" Kenji said
Outside, Naruto was practicing the execution of the Hadouken.
The young blonde was outside with his hands together in front of him with a large ball of ki in front of him.
"Urgh! This is tougher than you make it look gramps"
Noridasu smirked at his grandson as he sat on the porch smoking from his long tobacco pipe.
"You're getting the hang of it kiddo. Nothing worth having happens over night" he said as he watched the ki blast explode and send Naruto flying.
By this time he flipped and landed on his feet. His hands were bandaged up and there were no longer severe burns from the gathering of the ki. Naruto put his hands together and began to gather ki in his hands again. As Noridasu watched him, Kenji came outside to see what was going on. He looked at Naruto and smiled. It was like looking at his mother and father all over again.
"Hey Gramps, how's it going?"
"Pretty good. I'm just out here watching your brother practice so he doesn't kill himself with practicing ki control. He's also got some shadow clones practicing a jutsu on the other side of the field. I tell ya, the kid is incredible." Noridasu said
Kenji sat next to Noridasu and watched the younger blonde. They watched him practice the technique for hours until he was struggling to stand and his ki level got very low. As he stood up he almost fell on his face, then he felt some arms catch him. He looked up and saw his elder brother with a smirk on his face.
"You've been doing good brat."
Naruto smirked back and laughed
"Whatever…you're just…mad I'm catching up to you…haaa…haaa…"
"Humph, come on kid, take a break and get some food."
He carried his brother back to the house with Naruto's arm over his shoulder.
"I'm glad you're working hard even without mine of Dad's foot up your ass"
"Heh, of course…future….Hokage…in the making here…hehehe."
Kenji smirked at him and said
"I'll be there to make sure it happens for you kiddo" Kenji said
And so they enjoyed a night of family time and relaxation after long missions and life or death situations. Family members caught up and plans were made to spend more time together, because soon after the next 3 weeks, there would be war.

One week later Team 7 stood in the field with Kakashi at 8am
"Well, I hope you all are ready. This is a test akin to something in the chunin exams"
Hinata stood with more confidence than she had when the team started. Sasuke and Naruto looked like they've been training but they look like they're up to snuff.
"Your test will be to get these two bells from me before 12pm. Or I'll withdraw you from the exams" he said holding two bells in front of them
They all tensed up as the weight of his words hit them.
"Wh-what are you talking about? You can't do that!" Naruto said with his fists balled up
"Says who? All I have to do is speak with Lord Hokage"
"Humph, over my dead body" Sasuke said as he activated his sharingan, with two tomoe in each eye
"That can be arranged"
Hinata got into her gentle fist stance.
"I-I won't allow our hard work to be overshadowed. We will get those bells"
"Hmmm, you will huh? Well even if you do, only two of you can go" He said with a smile through his mask
"To hell with that, if one of us goes we all go. We're a team dammit!" Naruto yelled
Kakashi smirked as he looked at his students.
"Alright, well when I say start, you'd better come at me with the intent to kill" Kakashi said
He looked at them and saw that they were ready.
"Ready…Start!"
Sasuke and Hinata immediately hid in the bushes, but Naruto stood in the field
"You're…not the brightest out of the bunch are you?"
Naruto smirked as disappeared in a puff of smoke.
Kakashi's eyes widened as he began to look around and survey the atmosphere. He channeled chakra to his ears and he heard a whizzing sound in his ears. He dodged a hail of shuriken by side stepping them and he drew a kunai to defend himself. He looked around again and he had to jump as he saw two hands come out of the ground. He heard another whizzing sound and saw a demon wind shuriken as he jumped over it. The shuriken transformed into a Naruto clone and the clone threw a hail of kunai at him. He substituted with a nearby tree branch.
As he made his way through the forest he saw a purple and white blur move towards him. He blocked several palm strikes and kicks and caught the wrist of Hinata Hyuga. He threw her aside, but she rebounded off a tree trunk causing him to dodge a palm strike and then she lunged at him trying to attack. He slapped her wrist to the side and elbowed her in the side causing her to drop to her knee.
Suddenly, he had to dodge a kick from Sasuke and roll away from Hinata as she tried to sweep him off his feet. He drew a handful of shuriken and threw them at his students. Sasuke activates his sharingan and dodges the shuriken. Hinata used a chakra infused gentle fist strike and knocked away the shuriken that was coming towards her. Kakashi went through hand signs and jumped up and yelled
"Wind style: Great breakthrough!"
A force of wind blew them into the forests and knocked them through multiple bushes and branches, cutting and scraping them up.
"SHINKU TATSUMAKI SENPUKYAKU!" *BOOM*
A spinning whirlwind of electricity collided with Kakashi and caused a pressurized collision, kicking up a whirlwind to part the trees, kicking up dust and smoke. At the last minute he coded his hand in lightning chakra to combat the incoming attack. He spun Naruto in a 360 spin and tossed him into the forest. He turned around to see a fireball tearing through the forest, and he jumped to the side. He caught Hinata jumping behind him and he had to slap her hand away as her palms brushed the bell. He landed on the ground and he leapt out of the forest foliage into the field.
'Looks like they're really serious about getting these bells. I've got to say I'm impressed. The teamwork is a bit shotty but it's coming together. A little bit better than when they fought Trunks' he thought
As he landed he saw the fireball dissolve and he took a breath. He looked around and looked around for his students. He had a foreboding feeling as he didn't see any of them pursuing him. His senses went off and he had to jump as he saw a hail of kunai and shuriken launched after him. He had to hold up his arms to block an axe kick from Naruto.
"Che, glad to see you're taking this seriously"
He jumped back as soon as he landed on the ground. He stood in a fighting stance and took a survey of his environment. Soon Naruto threw shuriken at Kakashi and went through hand signs and 4 Shuriken turned into 40. He substituted with a piece of burnt wood and then he jumped and landed on a water stream. A flock of fireballs was sent towards Kakashi and he smirked and went through hand signs ending on the dog sign.
"Water Style: Water Wall!"
A large wall of water blocked them and he sighed in relief.
"MULTI SHADOW CLONE JUTSU!"
Kakashi had to pull out a kunai and he began to dodge and slash 50 plus shadow clones charging into the water stream. He was working up more than a sweat and he was beginning to lose his control over the flow of battle. He was already on the backfoot but now, he was starting to feel like he needed his sharingan. He threw his kunai and went through hand signs
"Shuriken Shadow clone jutsu!"
The flock of kunai tore through some of the shadow clones. He saw Sasuke jump onto the water stream and he went through another set of hand signs.
"Water style: Water Dragon Jutsu!"
Sasuke imitated the hand signs and molded an identical dragon and they began to clash across the stream. Shortly, he realized Naruto was missing and he felt a set of hands grab his ankles and he found a ladder of clones flinging him across the field and slammed him back first into the ground, kicking up debris, dust, dirt and smoke, creating a crater in the field
"Urgh! I…felt that one" He said as he drew a kunai and stabbed the clone holding his arms and then he jumped to his feet. He slashed at an incoming Hinata who dodged his strike with her Byakugan active and she went through one handed hand signs ending with the index and pinky finger extended with the other fingers closed, but before she could finish the technique he gripped her jacket sleeve and grabbed her arm and threw her across the field tearing his long shirt sleeve.
As he threw her he spun around trying to sweep an incoming Sasuke who jumped over the incoming attack. Sasuke tried to roundhouse kick while in mid-air and he blocked the attack. He had to block another incoming punch, then another overhead kick. Naruto and several clones came at him from all directions and he began to sweat even more.
'Damn it, they're really pushing me to my limits without the sharingan'
He had to let Sasuke go and jump back from him. He performed a spinning backfist to knock away a clone. He performed a spinning elbow strike on another clone and then he used the smoke from the clones dispelling go through hand signs and slam his hands to the ground.
"Earth Style: Mud Wall!"
A giant wall of harden mud displaced the ground and knocked the clones into the air. Naruto smirked as he got into his killing fist stance and cupped his hands behind him creating a basketball sized ki attack in his hands and then he put his hands in front of him.
"HADOUKEN!"
He shot a blast of ki towards the mud wall. Kakashi heard him yell the attack, then he saw Sasuke going through hand signs and yelled
"Firestyle: Grand Fireball Jutsu!"
He blew a giant fireball at Kakashi. Acting fast, he pushed chakra into his feet and jumped as the attacks collided, destroying the mud wall he created. He looked around while he was in mid-air and he saw Hinata coming towards him ready to strike him down. He blocked a strike from Hinata and then an electric discharge zapped him as he blocked the attack.
"Augh!"
Hinata followed up and struck him in the stomach, sending him to the ground. He landed on his feet and skid across the ground and dropped to one knee. He looked up to see a kunai to his back from Naruto, and he saw Sasuke with a set of shuriken drawn ready to throw at him. Behind him was Hinata walking up ready to dismantle him. He sighed and put his hands up in resignation.
"Heh, you guys definitely put the pressure on me"
"It feels like a hollow victory sensei, you didn't use your sharingan or your more powerful jutsu" Naruto said as he took the bells and threw each one to Sasuke and Hinata who deactivated their do-jutsu as they caught the bells.
"Well, I said you all had to come with the intent to kill, not that I would. Besides, I saw this as a challenge for myself as well. How far could I make it with a handicap? Honestly, I can saw without a doubt, you all have your teamwork down. The 3 of you together can easily keep up with a chunin, maybe even a jonin if you move as fast as you did with me haha"
"Naruto's right. It feels hollow since you got through some of our toughest attacks without using your sharingan" Sasuke said with his arms crossed
"I-I think we did good, for the fight he put up against us without it." Hinata said
"See, look at Hinata? She's got the right idea. But, I do believe you'll face people just as strong as me in the exams. So, definitely keep training" he said with a smile through his mask
Naruto sighed and spoke
"So, since we passed, can we try again before the exams with you at full power?" Naruto asked
Kakashi sighed
"Well…sure, why not. You might need the experience honestly."
"YES, GIMME ANOTHER WEEK AND I'LL BE READY!" Naruto yelled
"Humph, that should be enough time for me to have the chidori down enough to use in battle" Sasuke said
Kakashi sighed at his student and laughed. He had a feeling they would need to fight him at full strength for the upcoming exams. There might even be a full scale battle with Orochimaru's Sound Village and who knows how strong they might be.
