Meanwhile with Sozu:
He had been training like crazy for 3 days as he was practicing the Phoenix Flower technique. His chakra levels were low as he practiced the technique for the 20th time today and he blew out 3 small fire balls towards several targets with shuriken in them. "Dammit! I…need to practice my other chakra natures after I master my fire technique" he said wearily
He decided to relax and he pulled his canteen out of his bag to take a sip.

Supreme Kai shook his head as he looked at the boy with a critical eye
"Child. Your value should only be determined by yourself, not those around you. I only stopped you from this because Hamura himself isn't here for you and I see a bright light in you. Bigger than you realize"

"It's not about who I think you are, but it's about who you believe you can be. Will you take what was given to you and decline or will you stand and fight against your fate?"
Sozu looked at him in disbelief as he reconsidered all of his thoughts and actions until now. He wasn't exactly a weak shinobi and he was being trained by one of the 12 ninja guardians and the son of the 3rd Hokage. His original sensei had helped him create his own techniques and teach him how to use chakra control exercises for all 3 of his chakra natures. Now the God of life himself was watching over him and willing to teach him.
"Will you let yourself be drowned in despair? Or will you forge your own path and believe in yourself?"
He looked at the blade inches away from his chest, then at his fist holding it, then at Supreme Kai with a neutral look on his face.
"You're…you're right. I… need to find my own path… I need to…not be afraid of what's to come and stop feeling sorry for myself"
Supreme Kai smiled at the boy as he let his hand go and Sozu put the blade down.
"Good. Now rest my student. I must leave you now, your teammates are on the way and remember, after this I will be coming for you so you may begin your training my child"
"Yes sir. I… I'll think about what really matters to me" he nodded as he felt his resolve to live coming back and he began to rethink his thought process and question what his ninja way was again. Shin put two fingers on his head and disappeared in a flash.
"I have got to learn how to do that"
Soon he saw Asuma walking into the clearing with Ino and Choji from their separate training sessions. With the help of his new teacher and his teammates, he would be caught up with his teammates when they came back. He also had to let go of his crush on Mina and his grudge against Gohan and let it go. Ino looked at him in worry as she walked over to him with hands on her hips and an annoyed face at him.
"You're really irritating. Draining almost all of your chakra during training can kill you!" she said as she pulled him up with a hefty amount of strength surprising him
'When did she get this strong? Picking me up by herself is crazy. I guess Asuma has been training the both of them into the ground too.' He thought as he looked at all of them with bruises and dust along their clothes. He looked at Ino who was putting his arm around her shoulder, he noticed her arms and legs were more toned. "I didn't think you'd drain all your chakra to perfect this technique" Asuma said as he looked around at the destroyed targets and boulders

Kenji woke up groggy as he groaned in confusion and sleepiness. He rose from his lying position as he looked around the room. He saw Mei lying down with her head on his arm, sitting in a chair next to his bedside. She had his bandaged hand in her two hands and he felt a strange warmth from it.
'What made her sit here with me?' He asked himself
He decided to stay quiet and let her sleep. She looked so beautiful with her auburn red hair in a long ponytail. He took his right hand and put it on hers as he rubbed it gently. His heart felt a bit different from what he knew. Despite having a family, he realized he had never tried to feel close to anyone in a romantic way, which is what made him feel uneasy about Mei becoming his wife.
'This is a bit complicated for me. I mean, my physical feelings for her are obvious, but my formal and more personal feelings are a different story' he thought to himself

'Why me? 4th Hokage, I mean, dad, what would you do in this situation?' He asked
A few moments passed as she looked at her, then at the ceiling.
'Naruto please be doing better than I am right now.' he sighed as he looked around the room, then at the ceiling

Naruto was grimacing as his ki senses picked up Kenji's battle in the distance. Jiraiya sat with him sensing the battle well as they continued to train his wind nature.
"Dad, I have to go to him! He needs me!"
"No you don't. His life force shows that he's very much alive. And you can't match up to his opponents right now"
"But-"
"I hear you kiddo, but no buts. Mastering your wind attribute will do more for him than you showing up randomly for him"
Naruto's shoulders sagged a bit as he agreed with him.

"No, it's only been about a month and a half and you don't even know who his enemy is"
Naruto grimaced as he clenched his fists and cursed his powerlessness. He soon resumed his training of wind release and he put his hands into the cross seal.
"Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu!" He yelled as 100 Shadow clones puffed into existence
They all gathered leaves and began to split them leaves with wind chakra. He was determined to master his wind nature, then his lightning nature as a secondary element. Jiraiya had a flashback of Minato as he looked at Naruto practicing with his wind chakra nature. He knew the chakras he felt in the distance were worrying but he knew Kenji could handle it.
3 hours later
Naruto was sitting in a cross legged stance as he was containing his chakra in his body. He never realized that he alone had such a large amount of chakra. Keeping inside of his body was a challenge alone, never mind the 9 tails chakra. He had been doing his own workouts along with his teachers, which included Jiraiya, Doran, Kakashi and Chun-li.
He needed to get his Ki under control and start using it more efficiently. He also wanted to get a better control over his and Kurama's chakra when they were combined. He had to get his power under control so he could use it in the coming future against the akatsuki, Orochimaru and the upcoming Arcosian Empire. On top of that, he had been told of the dark empire and the invaders from space. He was considered the child of prophecy by Jiraiya and the toads in Mount Myoboku.
After feeling around the environment, he began to harmonize with his own Ki. A blue aura began to glow around his body as his body began to levitate. His black jacket burst open as his shirt burst open and his 8 trigram seal was visible. He was close to resonating his chakra with his ki. Soon the grass began to burn around the area as his focus was causing twisting and turning winds, affecting the trees and leaves around them. Soon a whirlwind began to twist around him as his body was levitating and Jiraiya smirked as he watched the boy progress.
'Can you see them now? Kushina, Minato, both of them have become powerful'
Up on Kami's lookout
Ryu was battling against a blindfolded Mr. Popo. He had yet to lay a hit on him.
"Tsk, he's toying with me haaaa….haaaa….haaa.."

Gohan stood at attention brushing blood from his mouth and standing in his dragon fist stance.
'I remember my father telling me the legend of the Super Saiyan. If one of us can ascend to that level then all of this will be worth it. Besides that, right now we should be able to deal with the akatsuki and the hidden sound easily. But, one thing that worries me is the Dark Empire Vegeta told me about before we left the Hidden Leaf'
Everyone was training for the upcoming threat that Frieza posed to the planet. The shinobi from the hidden leaf were still training to climb Korin's tower. They had several battles ahead of them from Orochimaru, The Akatsuki and a threat from the very stars themselves from a galactic empire but they didn't realize that there was a threat developing under all of their noses.

"So you say these people are willing to help us with our cause?"

"They helped us massacre the majority of the Saiyans. We wouldn't have been able to do this without them. You've fought the prince of Saiyans and barely survived him. Imaging the Saiyans and the Uzumaki clan if their plans to align came into fruition? That with the Hidden Leaf would've been a super powered alliance that the world couldn't handle so I convinced the Hidden Cloud to destroy the Saiyans, then they got together with the Hidden Earth to destroy the Uzumaki clan."
Obito nodded as Zetsu went through hand signs and pressed his hands on the ground and the seals began to glow white and a purple and black portal began to form.
"With the help of the Dark Empire we were able to destroy them both. Unfortunately, the hidden rain became a casualty to the war grounds of the Great Ninja wars. We needed all of this for Madara's plans and in return he helped cultivate these wars."
"So you knowingly made their Village a Warzone?" the masked shinobi asked
"We did what we did to help them out as well until you were found during the 3rd shinobi world war. The energy spent during the battles was required on their end as well. They too had their own agenda for what they wanted out of the plan."
Obito nodded as they began to walk into the portal. Little did they know, there was an origami bird watching them enter the portal, then it flew off.
A few hours later back in the Hidden Rain:
Pain stood in front of Konan in the Tower of God.
"I see. Zetsu was a part of what made our Village a war stomping ground. The man who claims to be Madara is not Madara as well"
Konan nodded
"They seemed to have entered some for of portal to another dimension"
Pain nodded as he walked towards the entrance of the building and looked out at the Hidden Rain Village
"Well, it seems that we have more to work with in this game we're playing. Konan, we're going to take a trip to the land of Whirlpools. If these enemies are strong enough to threaten an entire group of Saiyans as well as my native people, Rinnegan or not, we will need allies against these other worldly beings. Gather the outer members of the akatsuki" he said
Konan nodded as she began to disappear, transforming into a flock of origami birds
Pain continued to look out at his home village.
"Mother, perhaps I will be able to reunite with our people in our homeland. Send a team to the hidden whirlpool."

"We got here yesterday night after getting back and rearming ourselves and healing the wounded from the prison island" Akari said

As she finished wrapping his wound she backed up allowing Mei to sit back next to him.
Hana yawned

"Actually, Shisui, we need to talk too" Akari said as she pulled him by the earlobe out of the room

"Right! Let's move towards the frontline and wait near the traps. Karin, where is the enemy located?" Crimson said
Karin put her hands in the ram seal, releasing the minds eye of the Kagura and reached out with her senses around them.
"There are 5 groups of shinobi closing in on the camp as a whole!"
"Tsk, ok, lucky we set traps all over the camp. That should tell the rest of the camp what's going on. Now let's get into battle" she said
Tarble smirked as he channeled chakra into his seal with the others. Soon all 5 teams in the area were charging chakra into their seals.
Back at the camp, Mei was rushing out to hear several explosions and electricity being conducted. She looked around and saw smoke and a sweet pungent aroma mixed with ozone. Yari Kaguya landed next to her with Ao, Chojuro and 20 others trailing them.
"Lady Mei, my Byakugan is picking up several hundred shinobi attacking our outpost from all over" Ao said
Soon, Genryusai, Shisui, Hana, and Ko landed with 30 odd shinobi with them as well.
"Commander, my team has found several stronger shinobi charging the Citadel. I've found an extremely strong pair of shinobi leading several hundred shinobi towards us" Ko Hyuga said
Genryusai nodded at him as he spoke up
"Lead me on to them. Mei, you and your unit will come with us. If it is Yagura, then we shall need all we can get" the elder Terumi said
"Yes sir!" she said with no hesitation
And soon they were off to the battle front.
With Cabba, Nanashi, Asuma and Kurenai:
There were at most 100 shinobi with them as they spoke.
"Asuma, take your genin and guard the tower. We can't let them have this place" Nanashi said
"Right, I can't even take one of my team members anyways, so I got it" he said
"Yamato, I can sense a large power coming from the other direction, probably Yagura. Take the rest of the team and back them up, they'll need to suppress the jinchuriki"
Yamato nodded as he, Akari and Aoba leapt in the other direction towards Genryusai.
"Kurenai, your team stay with Asuma and guard the tower with Asuma. We barely match half of the enemy forces" he said
"Um, what about me?" Cabba asked questioningly
"Go help Shallot and Crimson" he said
"Right! Got it!" he said as he leapt in the direction of the sensor team
"Anko, you and your team are with me and the others. This platoon of 100 is gonna drive back these bloody mist bastards"
"Ohh, this should be fun" She said with an evil smirk on her face
"Alright, enough standing around, let's go!" he yelled as he and the 100 plus shinobi launched into action as they heard more explosions in the distance
Back at the citadel:
Sozu was standing with a bit less effort than before. He wasn't fully recovered from his overexertion of training with the phoenix flower technique. He had hobbled his way out of his tent after hearing multiple explosions and crackles in the distance. He walked out to see multiple shinobi standing on guard and running around. He had his sword using it as a walking stick as he activated his sekigan to see several hundred shinobi moving in multiple directions. His head pulsed with pain and he deactivated it. He reached into his pouch and took a food pill. Feeling a bit better, he stood up a bit more straight as he went to look for his team.
"Fuck it, they're attacking in the dead of night! Well it has been several days" he said as he took out a chakra pill as he began to feel his strength come back to him. His ki levels were still weaker than his chakra and they were still low from healing himself. Soon Choji, Ino, Sakura, Kiba and Shino landed with Kurenai and Asuma in the clearing. Asuma noticed Sozu
"You think you're ready to get back into battle?"
Sozu nodded as he held his sword by the sheathe walking towards his team.
"Are you sure you're up for this?" Ino asked
Sozu smirked
"Of course, no need to worry" he said as he had his chakra and stamina replenished
"Our job is to guard this place with the remaining medic shinobi from the invading forces. Do not waver if you see any enemy."
I'll be going to the north, Sozu, Ino and Choji to the south, Kurenai, you and your team can take the east and west."
She nodded
"Right, my team will take the east and I'll take the west" she commanded
"Right!" all the genin said
Soon they all began to separate and move across the field as they saw a few medic nin moving about servicing the injured in tents. Sozu looked around as he grimaced
"I can't allow these people to be lost because of my weakness."
His cursed seal began to irritate his neck as he grimaced and pushed forward. They landed on the south side of the fortress and Sozu felt his chakra acting up.
'Darn! My chakra flow is screwed right now. I shouldn't be up right now honestly. Let's just hope I don't have to fight that white haired guy again' he thought
With Zabuza:
He drew his executioner blade with one hand and stabbed it into the ground. Haku drew her senbon ready for battle, Ameyuri drew her Kiba blades, and Suigetsu drew his Nuibari (Needle sword).
Several bloody mist shinobi began to pop out as a man with long brown hair, a long beard which he wore in strands adorned with beads and his lips were also noticeably dark in color. The top of his head was wrapped in bandages, and he had an eye-patch covering his left eye, sprouting from under his Kirigakure forehead protector. His right eye has been the color violet and he wore an extremely loose, long-sleeved pin-striped shirt and black pants, accentuated by the presence of striped leg-warmers matching his shirt.
"Jinpachi Munashi!" Zabuza hissed out
"Well if isn't the quote on quote demon of the hidden mist" He said with his blastsword in his dominant hand
"So sorry, but this is where you fucks die slowly! Any last words?" he asked
"Yea, go to hell" Zabuza said
Jinpachi laughed as multiple shinobi began to close in on them.
"Jinpachi, you're playing with your food too much"
The man with a brown beard and hair which he ties into a topknot. The remainder of his face appears to be rather angular and features a very protuberant nose. He wears a dark-coloured poncho cloth over a standard Swordsman attire, consisting of a sleeveless dark shirt and matching pants along with a waist-guard, pin-striped arm and leg-warmers typical of his village and Kirigakure's forehead protector. He also has bandages around his neck like all the members of the previous generation of swordsmen.
"Jinin, why don't we show these amateur swordsmen the true power of the seven swordsmen of the mist"
"Haku, you handle all the other weaklings with my water clones" Zabuza said as he put his free hand in the ram seal creating 8 water clones
Haku nodded as she jumped forward pulling out a scroll pressing her hand on it and letting out a pool of water going through one handed hand signs.
"Ninja Art: Thousand Ice Needles!" she yelled as the water slowly turned into ice needles sending several senbon to stab through the shinobi around them.
Zabuza used the water around him and went through hand signs and used his chakra to channel the water falling around him to gather around his sword.
"Suigetsu, Ameyuri, you two handle Jinin after we slaughter these fuckers!" he yelled
As he jumped in the air and spun swinging his executioner's blade
"Water Style: Crescent Wave Dance!" he yelled sending several slashes killing several shinobi with Haku as they began to tear through the opposition
Ameyuri smirked as she channeled lightning chakra into her swords going through 4 hand signs ending on the ram seal and the blades began to spin in the air next to her and she sent the blades out to slash through approaching enemies.
Suigetsu smirked as he began to sink underground in his water form and zoom across the field.
"Hah, that one's a coward" Jinpachi yelled as he slammed his sword into the ground sending an explosive chakra wave from his blast sword.
Zabuza responded by slashing with a water crescent wave and the attacks clashed causing a shockwave to impact across the field. He and Haku landed as Ameyuri continued to have her Kiba blades tear through the other Mist shinobi. Several shinobi yelled as their legs were torn off from trying to charge forward. Jinin and Jinpachi jumped back as they saw several ninja threads strung across the field
Suigetsu smirked as he rose back up next to his team and watched his enemies legs get torn apart.
"Longsword art: Earth Spider Sewing Technique"
Ameyuri's swords spun back into her hands as she watched the men fall.
"Brats no too bad" Jinin said as he used his Kabutowari to slash down at the ninja wire
Soon Jinpachi did the same, kicking up dust and debris to cut through the ninja wire. The two landed and looked at their opponents.
"Humph, looks like we just thinned out your ranks minus 50 something" Zabuza said
Jinin smirked
"Come now, they would've just gotten the way anyways" he yelled as he raised the axe part of his Kabutowari
Ameyuri smirked as she leapt forward to block the attack from the axe with her electric covered Kiba blades.
"Foolish girl! You're not my target!"
He brought down the hammer attached to his axe but Suigetsu moved in to block the incoming attack with his Nuibari held in a horizontal position.
"You're just a relic who's full of themselves" he bit out
Ameyuri and Suigetsu pushed him back with a combined regained his balance and landed on both feet as he held himself up straight as if nothing happened.
Zabuza charged at Jinpachi as the bloody mist shinobi and the rebel swordsman clashed. Zabuza pushed Jinpachi back and he leapt back as Haku threw several senbon at him. He smashed his blast sword sending a wave of destruction tearing through the ground towards the two causing them to jump out of the way.
Ameyuri charged electricity through her Kiba blades and dodged the hammer. Suigetsu followed her league
"You brats are going to be a good appetizer" Jinin said
Suigetsu took his Nuibari and blocked the axe from Kabutowari as Ameyuri slashed at him with her Kiba blades as he pulled his sword back.
"C'mon old man! Get it together!" Ameyuri yelled
He pulled the rope of Kabutowari bringing the hammer back to him causing Ameyuri to dodge by ducking. Suigetsu jumped up and used the hammer as a platform and jumped forward to stab at him. He used the axe part of his blade and Suigetsu twisted out of the way, landing in a roll. Jinin jumped spinning with his hammer and axe spinning. Ameyuri leapt backwards and Suigetsu jumped and Jinin brought both parts of his blade into his hands. Ameyuri had to lurch to the side as she dodged a stray attack from the blast sword.
Zabuza dodged the blast sword's attack as he slashed upwards sending out a crescent wave of water towards Jinpachi and Haku added her chakra turning it into an ice attack. Jinpachi used the flat of his blade to block the combination attack. Zabuza leapt forward in tandem while Haku sent a flurry of senbon to cover him. He gave a downward slash at his opponent, Jinpachi dodged causing it to slam into the ground. He spun around to kick the flat of the blade to distract him as he saw Haku going through hand signs. He kicked off the blast sword and yanked his blade out of the ground. Haku went through hand signs,
"Hyoton: Ice Dragon's breath!"
Jinpachi slammed his Shibuki into the ground sending out an explosive wave to combat the Iced breath causing an icey explosion. Zabuza smirked as he and Jinpachi went through hand signs and ended in the ram seal.
"Hidden Mist Jutsu" they both called out
Soon, the entire battlefield was covered in Mist.
Haku went through hand signs and she began to freeze the Mist around her
"Now the real battle begins" Zabuza said, closing his eyes and holding his sword up.
Xxx
Choji, Ino and Sozu were scattered on their side of the field to guard the Citadel. Sozu was flaring his Sekigan every now and then as he was looking for the enemies every 5 minutes. Ino had her hands in the ram seal as she stretched her chakra senses across the area to feel for enemies. Sozu had 2 earth clones underground and Choji was well hidden in a camouflaged spot ready to attack. They had also set up several wire traps around, layering them with Crimson's leftover lighting and fire traps. Eventually Ino opened her eyes and spoke up,
"Hey, we got over 150 shinobi on the way to our position, and they…-"
"What is it, Ino?" Choji asked
"Those two strong shinobi from last time"
Sozu narrowed his eyes as he drew his sword and stepped back into the shadows. Choji heard them from afar as he tensed and readied himself for battle.
"We'll be ready this time!" Sozu said. And with that Ino fell back into the shadows with him
There were tense moments of silence as they began to hear explosions and sizzles of electricity from afar all around them. They began to hear cries of pain and bodies hitting the ground and trees as the traps went off around them. Eventually, they heard footsteps near their locations and Choji took his chance and used his expansion jutsu. Soon a giant fist blasted out of the ground smashing through several shinobi as he jumped out of the ground. He spun around in the air shrinking his hand and becoming a ball form spinning as he expanded
"Human Boulder Technique!"
He began to bowl over the bloody shinobi. Soon, several shinobi landed around him, but they were again outmatched as Sozu's earth clones began to drag several shinobi underground. Sozu went through hand signs as the two earth clones rose from the ground
"Earth Style: Underground Blitz!"
His technique caused the ground to crush the several shinobi he dragged underground. Ino struck out following this as she went through hand signs from the hollow opening of a tree.
"Mind Transfer Technique!"
She swapped bodies with one of the shinobi and drew two kunai and turned around to stab two shinobi in the necks, killing them. Soon, she started stabbing and cutting down several shinobi until she left the body of the shinobi and he was stabbed. Next to them, Asuma was on the south side of the wall with 3 Mist chunin cutting through several Bloody Mist shinobi. He had heard the explosions around him on all sides and he saw when the shinobi began to spread out around the tower to attack the North and South sides.
'Tsk, they tried a dual assault and spread across the outskirts of the tower.' He thought as he analyzed the enemy's attack strategy. Soon, he had to dodge an attack from a familiar face and he had to dodge several attacks, getting separated from the battle. He got a view of his opponent as he landed
"We meet again…um what's your name again?" He asked
"Bagetta of the Bloody Mist and you?"
He took out a cigarette and lit it with a fire technique
"Asuma Sarutobi"
"Humph, one of the 12 ninja guardians of fire. I'm truly honored to fight you" she said
"Likewise, I just wish it was under better conditions" he said as he blew smoke from inhaling his cigarette
He soon spat it out and got into his fighting stance channeling wind chakra around his trench knives. Bagetta stood in front of him in a martial arts stance with a pressure so hot that steam irradiated from her body.
They leapt towards one another and Asuma swung one of his trench knives at her. She leaned back and he jumped back as she dodged another kick, and caught one of his wrists tightening her grip on his forearm and she kicked one of his ankles causing him to bring down his other foot to keep his balance. She had to catch his other wrist to stop Asuma from killing her. She smirked as she kicked Asuma away from him as she channeled Ki from her body sending out a shockwave to push him back.
"Ergh!" He grunted as his feet slid across the ground
He slashed out a wave of wind chakra at her causing her to duck as her black hair was hardly knicked. She went through hand signs and placed her hands in the ram seal
"Genjutsu: Satanic Illusion!"
'What the hell? She didn't use this in the last battle
He bit his bottom lip to draw blood, but the illusion didn't dissipate so he disrupted his chakra. He felt hand grabbing his ankles and legs dragging him underground. He saw that they looked like dead corpses and he took a deep breath to remain calm. As he disbanded the illusion he had to bring his arms up to block a punch from his opponent rocketing him through the forest as he had to flip from the momentum to regain his balance.
"Whoa!" He yelled as he jumped over a ki blast
He channeled chakra into his trench knives and sent out a double slash towards her. Bagetta dodged into the forest foliage. He smirked as he put his trench knives away and went through hand signs ending in the tiger seal. He began to blow out ash into the foliage jumping up and back as he got out of the soon to be blast range and clicked his teeth together, causing the cloud of ash to explode.
Bagetta saw the cloud of ash and leapt into the trees above the thick of it as she wondered what was going on. But she soon found out when the ash exploded and she was caught in the blast. Asuma looked at the collapsed and burning forest as he kept his guard up. He pulled his trench knives out and equipped them again.
"That can't be the end…can it?"
Bagetta leapt out of the smoke cloud in a blur and Asuma jumped to the side, slashing her back with an extended blade.
"Urgh!" She grunted as she landed on her feet skittishly
She spun around and shot a ki blast at him and he cut through the ki sphere. She growled in irritation and channeled her Ki as a purplish white aura gathered around her and she leapt towards him. Sarutobi got into his fighting stance and tried to punch her in the face. He dodged and had to duck as he extended the wind chakra on his trench knife. She tried to punch him in the stomach but he used his forearm to block, but he was pushed back. As she pursued him, he slashed downward with her trench knife, causing her to stop moving forward. She drew a kunai from her pouch and flipped it to a reversed grip channeling water chakra into it, and she blocked one of the trench knives channeling Ki into her hand and Asuma jumped back as the Ki blast hit him the stomach sending him flying into a tree.
"Gaaahh!" He gasped in a breath of air
He slid down the tree landing on his feet. He leapt over to the side as slashed at an incoming Bagetta. She jumped over the blade and tried to knee him in the face. Asuma blocked the attack with his forearm again and he felt his left forearm crack.
"Grrgh!"
Asuma cursed as he channeled his ki and used his arm to push her back. His blue blades became yellow because of his ki. He stood up as a yellow outline wrapped around his body.
"It's time to get serious!" He said
As she landed she smirked at him with glee and a bit of psychotic rage
"Yes. It's time to finish what we started Sarutobi"

Wanta was standing across from Asuma's team with a smirk on his face. Sozu, Ino and Choji looked at the man.
"You again!" Ino said in exasperation
"Yes, me again. Names Wanta" he said with a grin
He smirked as he held his hands out as he allowed them to come at him
"Ino, Choji, let's practice that formation we learned from Asuma Sensei"
The two nodded as Sozu leapt forward with his sword drawn. Choji began to move in behind him slowly as he ran out of sight. The brown haired boy tried to slash at him as Wanta was dodging easily. Soon he smirked as Sozu jumped and slashed down at him as he caught the blade with both hands. Choji appeared from the side out of nowhere and Sozu smirked as the Akimichi smashed his enlarged fist into the side of Wanta, rocketing him through the forest.
Ino leapt into action throwing a few handfuls of kunai in paperbomb tags towards him. Several explosions went off in the direction he was sent.
"Don't drop your guard yet!" Sozu said
As the explosions went up in dust and debris, they saw him leapt of the smoke and Choji took out a pill box and ate a green pill. His chakra skyrocketed and it became visible as it radiated off of him. The genin launched into battle and he leapt forward surprising Wanta as he blocked two giant fists that hammered him into the ground causing a giant crater that kicked up dust, debris and destroyed foliage. He pulled out two pairs of shinobi wire with Kunai wrapped around him and he expanded and he rotated towards Wanta
"Spikey Human Boulder!"
Wanta had to dodge the giant Akimichi boulder and he began dodging the giant human boulder that rolled after him. Sozu and Ino leapt after them catching up. And soon, Wanta jumped and Ino threw several poisoned senbon at him. As the sharp and skinny blades stabbed his arm, he felt his arm tense up and he grunted in pain.
"Grrh, paralysis!" He grimaced and dodged a blue fire ball from Sozu and flew backwards.
The 3 genin landed as they looked up at their opponent.
"Great. I have a feeling we're gonna have to learn how to fly after this" Ino said in irritation
Choji nodded as he eyed Wanta with a critical eye. He took out his pill box and he took out the yellow pill with a grimace and ate the second pill. He clapped his hands together and said
"Get back you two!"
"What? Choji are you-"
Sozu took Ino by the arm and jumped backwards from the battle.
"Hey! What are you doing?" She yelled
"Trusting him to handle this guy. Besides, we got company!" he said as he activated his Sekigan
He looked around and so did Ino as they saw several shinobi land around them. Sozu put his hands in the snake seal creating 3 earth clones. The clones huddled around them as they got into a formation. The chunin slowly began to move in on their opponents with kunai drawn. Ino drew a kunai as Sozu and his earth clones held their swords at the ready.
"They're just brats!" one of the chunin yelled and leapt forward inciting the others to do so
Soon, they began to clash across the field and the sparks from the blades could ignite a fire if they were in a field of dynamite. The genin and the clones were able to push the chunin back. Several of chunin were pushed back and went through hand seals.
"Water Style: Water Bullets!"
3 water bullets caused the leaf genin to dodge. Two of the clones went through hand signs and blew out 3 small fireballs a piece
"Fire Style: Phoenix Flower Jutsu!"
The chunin all tried to dodge, but one of them was fatally wounded by 4 fireballs hitting them and tearing through their bodies.
"You bastards are pretty clever but-"
Soon, another chun was paralyzed from several senbon thrown by Ino. Another Sozu clone went through hand signs and placed his palms on the ground.
"Fire Style: Hellraiser!"
He yelled as several columns of fire tore through the ground and burned one of the chunin to a crisp.
5 out of 7 chunin remained and they all threw a handful of kunai and shuriken at Sozu and Ino. The 3 earth clones jumped in front of the 2 genin. Sozu smirked as he went though hand signs and ended on the snake seal.
"Earth Style: Earth Dragon Bullet!"
He yelled as a dragon's head rose out of the ground and spat out a giant boulder at the Bloody Mist shinobi
One of the chunin went through hand signs ending on the snake seal and placed his hands on the wall
"Earth Style: Mud Wall!"
The giant boulder tore through the wall of mud as 4 of the 5 chunin dodged while one threw a kunai with a paper bomb tag at them. Sozu pushed Ino back hard and jumped back, but the tags exploded too close and the blast sent him rocketing through the forest and he flipped landing on his feet.
"Tch, these guys aren't pushovers!" he said going through hand signs only for his cursed seal to pulse and make him drop down to one knee holding his neck in pain
"Sozu, look out!" Ino yelled as she jumped and drew a handful of kunai throwing them at 2 chunin pursuing her.
Sozu jumped as he dodged several shuriken at him and he looked for his sword. It was over where he was standing and he couldn't see it
"Shit, Shit, Shit!" he said as his cursed seal began to spread across his body and he was slowly feeling pain across his body
He hastily drew a kunai and dodged a kunai swipe while blocking a volley of shuriken. One of the throwing stars tore through his shirt, causing a thin layer of blood across his chest. He was slowly losing control of the battle and he knew things were getting bad. He leapt backwards to see Ino moving towards him as well to regroup.
"Smoke bomb!" Sozu yelled
Ino nodded and took one out of her pouch and threw one done as they disappeared into the shadows of the foliage. Soon the chunin were on the prowl looking for both of them.
Sozu and Ino were hiding in the husk of a tree, cooped up together but able to move at a moments notice due to the large opening facing the other side of the tree away from the chunin, for now at least.
"What do we do? I'm running low on chakra" Ino said
Sozu was trying to concentrate through pain, as he looked around with his Sekigan activated for a few moments. He thought about the situation as he looked around and thought about the situation, then he looked at Ino and heard explosions in the distance from Choji's battle with the other Bloody Mist shinobi. He rummaged through his weapons pouch and grimaced. There were a few paper bomb seals and some shuriken left. He knew what he would have to do, but he would need a distraction from Ino.
"Can you do that mind transfer thing again?"
"Yea, but after that I'll be spent" she said
Sozu nodded and looked at a chunin who was below them.
"When that guy is directly below us, use it on him" he said in a hissing voice
Ino looked at him for a moment to see that he looked as if he was in pain.
"Are you ok? You look pale, and what are those-"
"Ino…focus…I'll tell you later…" he said while he felt the pain of the cursed seal getting worse
She nodded and looked at him worried. Next, he looked down to see the shinobi below them and signaled for Ino to look down and put her hands in the squared formation. As she was casting the jutsu, the shinobi tensed as she took over his body. He caught her limp body and she looked up then around to find the enemies in the opposing shinobi's body. The other shinobi landed next to him to go over a strategy to weed them out. Sozu smirked as he put one hand in the ram seal, using the last remnants of his chakra
"Hidden Mist Jutsu!" he said as a chakra infused fog began to spread across the area. The mist was thick enough to hide the faces of the shinobi and forced them to stretch out their senses.
"What the hell? It's the those kids, it has to-"
Ino used this moment to take action drawing a kunai from the Mist shinobi's tool pouch and stabbed the talking man in his stomach. She stabbed towards another shinobi who jumped back as soon as he heard the body drop. The Yamanaka possessed shinobi drew several shuriken and threw the volley of shuriken and fell into the shadows of the mist.
"Shit!" another ninja said
Soon he was screaming in pain as several throwing stars at him, piercing his head, eye and bouncing off of his jonin jacket. Ino ran over to the man and stabbed him in the neck. Soon the mist began to clear up and Ino left the man's body returning to her own. She was tired as her body was racked in exhaustion, but she could still fight if necessary.
"Im…haaa…spent…haaa"
Sozu nodded as he picked her up bridal style and sat her inside of the hollowed out tree, giving her his last chakra pill.
"Stay here and outta the way" he said as he body flickered away
Ino grimaced as she felt annoyed about what he said but she couldn't do much because she was weak at the moment. Sozu grunted in pain as he was moving off pure physical strength. He saw one of the chunin as he hid in the shadows. He saw the chunin who was used to kill his comrade vomiting to the side of them. Sozu drew his last shuriken and moved around very quietly in the shadows. He threw it at the back of the chunin's head as it dug into the back of his head and cut into his brain, killing him. He was looking around for the last chunin, but he soon found himself receiving a blast in his back from some pressurized water, causing him to roll across the field and tumble to a clip side. He was lying on the ground catching his breath as he was riddled with pain.
"Grrgh! This guy!"
He looked up to see the Bloody Mist chunin walking towards him with a kunai drawn.
"You! You'll pay for what you did to my comrades!" he said in anger
Sozu grunted in anger as he tried to sit up. He saw the man approaching him, as his heart began to beat fast and his neck was pulsing in white hot pain. He gritted his teeth as his fists were balled in anger at being caught by the last enemy. He soon felt a bit of relief as he was about to die. He didn't want to believe it, but sighed in relief as he felt the sweet embrace of death approaching. That was soon replaced by panic as he saw Ino tackle the man to the side.
"Shit!" he hissed sharply as he pushed himself up
He would feel horrible if he allowed her, someone with loved ones and family to die in his stead. He stood up shakily with paper tags in his hands. He had 3 of them and he realized what he would have to do. The enemy shinobi kicked her off of him, and he saw her grunt in pain.
"You can both die!" he yelled as he grunted in pain from a kunai lodged in his stomach.
Sozu lunged towards the man and they wrestled about the grunt as he head butted the man and slowly put the paper bomb seals on his adversary. Soon they wrestled near a cliff and Ino gasped as she got up and tried to grab at them.
"Stay back!" Sozu yelled as he received an elbow to the top of his head.
He responded by putting his hand in the ram seal and the tags began to sizzle. He looked at Ino briefly in the eyes and wrestled them both off the cliff.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" She screamed out as she watched them go
She crawled forward to see 3 explosions and she had to jump back as a piece of the cliff face blew up. She saw the large piece of the cliff face fall off as she was breathing heavily. She was shocked at what she just saw happen and she began to cry as she curled up into a ball and rocked shakily. She wept silently as she thought about what she had just seen. Her fingers dug into her elbows until they drew a bit of blood as she cried hard. Her teammate, no matter how temporary he was, had died and it was all to save her. He was distant, and a bit cold at times, but he was also a team player and acted as a true comrade to keep her and Choji safe. They were on speaking terms, and she wanted to get to know him better, but she knew she wouldn't get that from him now, since he was dead.
Somewhere near the border of the land of earth at the white lotus clan compound. Naruto and Hinata were sitting, then they looked up at the sky with pale looks on their faces. Sasuke was sitting a bit away from them and he sat up in angst.
"What is it?" Jiraiya asked looking at them as he walked in
"Sozu…his chakra just disappeared" Naruto said as he stood up in worry
Hinata stood up and grabbed his shoulder.
"Naruto, don't" she said with worry in her voice
"Yea…let the others handle this" Sasuke said
"Why… Why him?… he could've come with us" Naruto said in anger
"No, he wasn't promoted to chunin for a reason" Sasuke said with a bit of tension in his voice that betrayed how he truly felt
"Get stronger for him then" Jiraiya said
Naruto looked at his God-father and nodded as he felt re-energized for a training session.
Mina was in the middle of training with Chun-li as she hastily pulled up her guard and her feet slid across the ground. Chun-li was looking up at her opponent with a raised eyebrow as she saw her shaking.
"What's…wrong?" The bun haired girl asked with hesitation
She dropped her guard as she began to shed a lone tear. She knew that people died on missions, but Sozu's chakra disappearing caused her to tense up a bit. Her fists tightened till they bled as she was silently mourning her friend's passing.
"It's…nothing. I…I just need a minute" she said as she began to shake while she shed more tears
On the lookout, even Gohan looked out of the tower as he had just finished training with a large green figure.
"Mr. Piccolo, are we still training?" He asked
"Nah, it's gonna be your father's turn to fight me soon. Figured I'd make sure you're resting, but you seem distracted"
Gohan looked down at the earth as he got a sad look in his eye.
"I suppose you could say an associate of mine and several others I recognized seems to have vanished "
Piccolo looked out at the earth and sighed
"Did this person mean a lot to you?"
Gohan sat and thought for a bit
"Perhaps we could've been rivals" he said
Piccolo looked at him with no emotion
"Well, train to avenge him. Train to grow stronger and to prevent someone else losing their lives" he said in a monotone voice
Gohan nodded as he looked down at the world with a serious face and his fists balled. He had become a beacon of power, after his years worth of training in a day with his father, yet neither of them had reached Super Saiyan, but they did reach the highest level of mastery in the Ikari form.
With Supreme Kai:
He stood over a broken, bloody and beaten Sozu. He picked the boy up gently and teleported away to his planet. He lay him down gently placing his hands on the boy's chest and beginning to heal him. His injuries began to slowly mend as his bleeding began to stop as well. He saw that the boy's right arm was blown clean off from the elbow up. He grimaced as he put his hand over the injury as well.
"Will he make it my Lord?" A man with silver hair and pink skin dressed similar to the supreme Kai asked
"I made it just in time, Kibito. But, I cannot heal his arm, and I do believe this will build character for him" he said with a bit of a deep inhale and exhale
"It's not the most ideal way of bringing him along, but now… things should be ready to start" he said
The supreme Kai nodded as he began to make preparations. The Kai put his hands over the cursed mark of heaven and he began to purify it turning it's color from black to white.
