Chapter 5 and 1, and others have plot related headcanon which is different from character related headcanon to me, maybe considered AU? So again if you don't remember something that takes place before the sequel to Fast X then it is likely headcanon

Chapter 5: Nobody Else/Double

...

"That's not her," Tess says in disbelief, looking through a two way mirror at Gisele in a holding cell.

"We specialize in this," Aimes states firmly, "All I know is that when your dad went down people started looking and the next thing we know she's being transferred from one black site to another."

Mr. Nobody was "missing" now for a nearly a year.

And Agent Aimes was working his way to the top of the Agency.

"It's been nearly a decade," Tess says, "I know doppelgangers are a specialty too. Did my dad know?"

"Your dad didn't exactly believe in paperwork," Aimes crosses his arms, "but something tells me if he knew then she wouldn't be in our custody. Unless she managed to get herself caught again."

"What's the plan?"

"It hasn't been decided. The higher ups are reviewing the case," Aimes says indignantly.

"Why keep her here then? Going through all that trouble, for quite frankly a rookie in terms of an agent."

"We both know she's no rookie," Aimes states firmly, "You can call yourself CIA or FBI spending twenty years in a desk but she's out there in a fraction of that time. In the thick of the action. You can't teach that."

"If she's useful then why is she behind bars?"

"She's still a criminal. That undercover act was just that."

"And why am I here?" The blonde woman asks nonchalantly.

"If your dad pulled one of his old tricks he's doing a damn fine job at the disappearing act. Or he's in danger and how would you feel as his daughter knowing you could have helped?"

"You think Gisele has answers," Tess says, "She doesn't know about Lue then?"

"We can play it either way," Aimes says smugly, "She helps us and she can see him again. Or you convince her your dad was in no position to get Lue mixed up in what he did. And he pays for his hand in Lue's death."

Tess looks on, "I worked with her once ages ago."

"You were on the outside looking in weren't you? I figure you can get a gage of her better. The personal touch. Ask your mentor. Overlap is overlap."

Tess continues to stand and stare, thinking.

End notes:

I went ahead and did a timejump from just after the end of Fast Five to after F9 as I decided that version 1 (the chapters so far) will be as straightforward as possible and more similar to what Los Bandoleros is, which is a short film in between; and it should be ending soon and the next one-shots that feature Fast 6 to 9 will hopefully be written barring writer's block
