AN: Hope you like it.

A soft sigh left Zero's lips, as he sat on the bed. His room reminded him of a mini apartment with a bathroom and living room. He wasn't used to such luxury because he constantly moved around until his Unce built the Academy to keep Zero safe and hidden. To say Zero was scared of discovery was an understatement. The boy was more than scared, he was terrified. He had to lie to Kaname and the other vampires to keep his identity a secret. He knew he wanted to tell Kaname but didn't know if he could. The Chairman removed all information concerning his family and Zero's before he 'quit' the Association. He didn't want to risk Zero until the boy was old enough to protect himself.

He changed his clothes into the school uniform that was provided to make sure it fit. He had school the following day that ran from late afternoon to mid-evening, so he wouldn't see much of the other vampires aside from Yuuki, who was in the same class as him. He stared at his reflection in the mirror. His amethyst eyes were unique, his silver hair added to his appeal, and he was pretty handsome for being a child. He closed his eyes briefly before he changed into black pants and a white shirt. He slipped on his slippers before he stepped out.

The third floor was empty, as he proceeded to the staircase. "But I don't trust him, Kaname-sama." Zero stopped, as he hid his presence. He closed his eyes, listening carefully.

"He is a child, Hanabusa," he heard Kaname's stern voice. "You do not have a right to judge him. If you do something to him, I will punish you."

"My apologies," Kaname-sama," he heard Hanabusa say. Zero opened his eyes and made it seem like he had just walked up.

"Oh Kaname-sama, Hanabusa-san," Zero greeted with a slight bow. Both vampires looked at him and nodded toward him. The hate in Hanabusa's eyes was intense, as Zero looked away. Kaname glared at Hanabusa, as the blond gulped. "Excuse me." Zero's tiny voice was heard, as he hurried down the stairs to go to the kitchen on the first floor.

As he descended, he heard a loud slap, followed by Hanabusa's soft cry of pain. Zero felt himself flinch, knowing a slap from a pureblood like Kaname would be painful. He didn't do much when he reached the first floor, as members of Kaname's circle were sitting. They stood and immediately bowed, as Zero blushed a bit. "That's not needed," he whispered.

A blond male stepped forward and smiled kindly at her. "Zero-sama, my name is Takuma Ichijo. I'm the vice president of the Moon Dorm." He motioned with his hand to the others nearby. "The man with red hair is my lover, Senri Shiki. The girl with light orange hair is Rima Toya. The two of them are models. The man beside her is Akatsuki Kain." The man with orange-colored strands gave Zero a brief nod, which he returned. "This is Ruka Souen." The last girl he introduced was so beautiful that he couldn't help, but smile at her. She returned the smile and patted his hair. Zero blushed a bit, as the other nobles chuckled at the interaction.

"Zero-kun!" Yuuki came out of the kitchen and Zero turned to face her. "Come on, we got some food for you." She grabbed his hand very gently and tugged him towards the kitchen.

"Yuuki-sama," Takuma called, causing the two pureblood children to stop. They turned to him. "We shall all go together." The young child smiled and nodded, as Zero followed her into the kitchen. His eyes widened, as many lower level night class students suddenly stood and bowed at Zero respectively. Takuma placed a comforting hand on Zero's shoulder. "This is Zero Cross-sama, everyone. Kaname wants you all to know he is off-limits. If you have a problem, he will deal with you. Now return to your meal." With a slight bow, the night class students continued eating. All the nobles, along with Yuuki and Zero went over to the three tables in the corner meant for them. Takuma sat on his right and Yuuki sat on his left. The food that was on the table was many things that Zero never had before.

A few seconds later that door opened and everyone stood. Silence fell over the room, as everyone bowed. Kaname had a composed and calm expression on his face, as Aido followed behind, rather quietly. "Please, everyone. Sit and enjoy your meal. His voice was cool, letting people know he wasn't pleased, but he didn't appear unhappy either. Amethyst and chocolate orbs met one another, as Kaname offered the young pureblood a smile. He rarely smiled at anyone other than Yuuki, so the nobles were slightly shocked. Takuma smiled, as the little one gave Kaname a small smile in return. "How are you liking Cross Academy, Zero?"

Aido sat beside Kain, who raised a brow at his cousin. He said nothing, as the nobles' eyes fell on Zero. The young pureblood bit his lower lip. "It's nice so far. I've only been here a few hours."

"What about your room? Is it good for you?" Kaname continued. He wanted to see if the pureblood would get annoyed with the questions, but as far as he could see, Zero didn't appear angry.

He took a sip of his drink before placing it down. "Yes, Kaname-sama. It's very nice."

"'Sama?' Isn't he also a pureblood?" Aido blurted out before Kaname's gaze darkened, looking at the blond. "My apologies, Kaname-sama."

"Zero-kun has manners, that's all," Yuuki chimed in, smiling at Zero, who looked embarrassed. "Besides, since nii-sama is older, it's only natural for young pureblood to show respect. I also say 'sama' when I talk to and about my brother."

Zero didn't comment, knowing she was right about the younger purebloods showing older purebloods respect. Kaname only smiled at her, before turning his attention back to Zero. Zero looked down, and he could tell the child was unhappy. Zero raised his eyes and glanced at Aido. "Did I do something to offend you, Hanabusa-san?"

Aido glanced at him, simply shaking his head. "I just don't like you, Zero-sama. It's nothing personal." He got smacked in the back of his head by Kain.

"Idiot," Kain mumbled. Aido immediately felt that dark aura from Kaname, and he gulped.

"Why?" Zero questioned in a very soft tone. He sounded...sad. Kaname felt terrible, as he turned back to Aido who looked at Zero. "Please tell me why you don't like me that much?"

For the first time in his life, Aido didn't have an answer. Sure, he didn't trust Zero, but he had no valid reason to dislike him.

Kaname and the others were looking at Aido, also interested. "You don't have an answer, do you?" Kaname's cool voice questioned the blond.

"No, I don't Kaname-sama," he whispered.

"Then you have no reason to dislike him," Kaname concluded. He intertwined his fingers together. "See, things like trust and dislike, go hand in hand, Zero. I know you're new and it'll take time for them to trust you and I'm assuming you have yet to trust them, right?" The child gave a nod. "However, Hanabusa chose to dislike you because he doesn't trust you yet. Which I'm sure he learned his error." He saw the blond nod in the corner of his eye. "So I believe until we are all comfortable and once we all trust one another, things are going to be a bit...touchy.

Zero only nodded, not saying anything. He knew it would take time and he just hoped that things would work out in the end.

A week had passed and Zero was slowly getting into a routine. A friendship blossomed quickly between Zero and Yuuki and he was happy to have the young pureblood as a companion. Things between Aido and Zero were still tense, but the two were slowly getting used to one another and Hanabusa would occasionally entertain both Yuuki and Zero with his ice powers. Kain would join in with his fire and they got to see the ice and fire interact with one another. The nobles loved Zero, they thought he was a wonderful addition to the night class.

Kaname was a little more reserved. He had a feeling Zero was hiding something, he just wasn't sure what it was. It just seemed like it to him. He just feared that if Zero lied about anything, it would affect his relationship with Yuuki. The two of them had grown incredibly close.

"Kaname-sama," a soft voice whispered before landing beside him as he sat in a chair in his office.

"Seiren, what is it?" Kaname raised his dark eyes to the quiet woman. Once she was finished, Kaname was frozen in shock. His chocolate eyes rested on her. "Are you serious about this?" She only nodded, as his eyes went crimson. "He lied to me."

"Kaname-sama, he didn't know," she whispered. Kaname's eyes went to her, still crimson. "This information came from a reliable source."

"Who told you?" He asked his eyes between chocolate and crimson.

"His father, the pureblood named Toshiro...Toshiro Kiryu."
