AN: Hope you like it.

The employees were at their side within seconds. "Oh my, let us get this cleaned up for you. Would you like another glass of milk?" The silver-haired boy shook his head and waited for them to walk away.

Zero's eyes turned crimson, as he glared at his father. "How fucking dare you! You don't think I know that name!?" He gestured to himself. "Who the hell do you think had someone stick me as a 5-year-old for 1,000 years with no memories, father?! Tell me! I still don't remember everything, it's like I'm living with blank spots in my head! It's not fair to me to live like that! And you dare have the audacity to mention that monster's name to any of us!"

Toshiro closed his eyes and deeply breathed, "I can't tell you all everything without mentioning him. Zero, listen. He was my friend long ago before you were even thought of. To be quite honest I met your birth mother through him." Zero's eyes widen as Yuuki looked at her brother. Kaname's eyes were closed and his aura was calm. He wasn't letting his hatred for his uncle consume him. He was willing to let it go for now. Toshiro opened his eyes and looked at the Kuran siblings. "Your uncle wasn't always like this. Rido changed when your grandfather changed everything."

"Wait, you knew him?" Yuuki's voice was soft like the wind.

Toshiro gave her a small smile, he didn't seem to mind her. She was a calm and soothing presence, just like her mother. "Yes, I was actually friends with all of them when I was younger. He was the one who introduced me to Rido, Haruka, and Juuri when they were very young. They were all still children at that time." He took a sip of his coffee.

"What did he change?" Kaname's voice was cool but still polite.

Toshiro looked at him briefly before looking down with a sigh. "He was literally the last 'King' I guess you can say. He abolished the monarchy and the Vampire Council was formed. Rido, as his firstborn, was his heir and he was supposed to be King. When his father took it away by abolishing it, he went crazy with rage, killed his parents, and claimed he wanted to be the 'strongest' pureblood alive. That's the man you three know. As I said, he wasn't always like that."

Zero took a deep breath before he looked at his father. "I want to know about my mother and her name. My birth mother."

"I'm certain you'll know her by name," Toshiro began. "She was known as the 'Mad Blooming Princess.' Her name was..."

"Shizuka Hio," Zero whispered. Everyone looked at him. "I heard about her and stories that her lover was a former human who was turned into a Level D. He was killed even though he wasn't a Level E yet."

"You are quite knowledgable," Toshiro commented. "I met her when she was arranged to marry Rido since Juuri chose Haruka instead of Rido. She never loved Rido and slowly, began to have feelings for me. This is why Rido started to hate me. I apparently 'stole' his fiancee from him. That's when I threatened him to stay away from me and her. After many years together and being happy, you and Ichiru were born. She was captured two weeks after you were born by the council because of Rido's lies and claims. After some time she fell in love with the human and well, you know that tale."

Zero bit his lower lip. "And Kaiya's mother..." That was the first time Kaname and Yuuki heard him say a name they didn't know.

"Kaiya's mother was Cross' younger sister, Kina." Toshiro closed his eyes briefly. "Zero, she loved you and your brother like you were her own. Your sister was born 6 years after you and your brother were."

"I remember that," Zero whispered, looking at his father. His father knew that Zero knew they were both alive. "Where are they both?"

"So you knew she didn't die," Toshiro whispered. Kaname and Yuuki remained quiet but were shocked to learn Zero had siblings.

Zero looked down. "Father even though she was half pureblood, Rido's attack against her would have never killed her. She played dead because Rido was dealing with Kaien and me. If he knew she was still alive, he would have ended her. Since mother was human, I am not surprised Rido's attack killed her."

"You just referred to Kina as your mother," Toshiro smirked a bit. "Also your siblings have things they need to tend to at the moment."

"Even if she wasn't my birth mother, she was a mother to me and Ichiru, father," Zero whispered. "I never knew Shizuka and I doubt I ever will. Mother was everything to all of us. But I do have one question for you." Toshiro waited patiently for Zero to gather his thoughts. "If you are a progenitor and a pureblood, how did fall in love with a hunter from a distinguished family?"

Toshiro had to sigh softly. "I was actually asked by the Vampire Council to 'spy' on the Cross family. I ended up meeting Kaien first and he introduced me to Kina. Like other hunters, the Cross Family was 'wary' of me because of who I am and what I am. It's rare to ever see Purebloods and it's even rarer to see the progenitor of a certain bloodline. Our bloodline is older than even the Kurans themselves. I was 500 years older than their grandfather. I'm currently over 5,000 years old. As to how we fell in love, I told her and Kaien the truth. That the Vampire Council wanted me to spy, but I gave the Council false information. For protecting them, Kina started to fall for me and I was falling for her without realizing it. During this time, you and Ichiru were newborns to 2 years old. She instantly loved you both, mirror images of me. She agreed to marry me and use her family name to protect you all. 4 years later, Kaiya was born, the first of her kind. Half-Hunter, Half-Pureblood." He looked at Zero, who raised a brow. "We also did something else. From the ages of 6 months old to 5 years old, you and your brother were drinking hunter's blood in your drinks."

"What?" Zero's eyes got wide with shock. "But why?"

"The council agreed to leave my boys alone if you both joined the Hunter Association. The only way to do this was to make you both drink blood without biting Kina and accidentally turning her. You might be a pureblood son, but you also have hunter blood, that's what makes you the 'rare one.' I am more than positive that Kaien has mentioned something about it to you." Toshiro showed Zero his own gun. "I'm also a member of the association."

"So you hunt down vampires and kill them?" Zero crossed his arms as Toshiro nodded. "He mentioned I was a 'rare one' but I never fully understood what he meant. Does this mean I'm going to be a vampire hunter?"

"Well you have the ability to be one if you chose to," Toshiro whispered. "Zero, I've made many mistakes for very a long time now and I know you are angry with me. But I will not force you to be a vampire hunter if you chose not to join. Your brother and sister are both hunters." Zero's eyes widen at this revelation. "I love you and I'm sorry about everything. You don't have to forgive me, I wouldn't blame you if you don't, but I want you to know I'm going to try to do better." Toshiro finished his drink. "Any more questions?"

"You need to explain this power of mine, "Zero whispered. Kaname and Yuuki looked at Toshiro, who grimaced.

"Unfortunately, I don't think I have the luxury to tell you," he voiced, his eyes turned red and turning to the door.

Zero, Kaname, and Yuuki all turned. Yuuki immediately gasped, as Kaname stood quickly. He placed Zero and Yuuki behind him. as Toshiro stood beside Kaname.

Standing at the door, was the pureblood Rido Kuran.
