Kubfu
Back in the dojo, Lincoln and his sisters were congratulating Clyde on his victory over Klara.
"Way to go, little dude." said Luna.
"You showed that cheat who's boss." said Lola.
"Hopefully she'll be a better person after her punishment is done." said Lincoln.
"Hopefully she gets better fashion sense." said Leni.
"Thanks, guys." said Clyde. Master Mustard claps his hands to get everyone's attention.
"Everyone." said Master Mustard. "It's time to present Clyde with the Master Dojo's secret armor." The Loud siblings and Clyde wait with anticipation.
"I wonder what kind of armor you'll be getting?" asked Lincoln.
"I'll bet it's like knight armor." said Lana.
"I'll bet it's something shiny and noble-looking." said Lola.
"Maybe it's like samurai armor." said Lincoln.
"I wonder if it'll even fit me." said Clyde. Master Mustard pulls a pokeball out of his jacket pocket.
"Now then...Come on out!" said Master Mustard as he tosses the pokeball, releasing a gray, bearlike Pokemon with a light brown muzzle, and some white fur on its forehead, along with two long streams of white fur coming out the back of his head, making it look like he was wearing a headband.
"It's so adorbs!" said Leni.
"It looks so cuddly!" said Lola. Clyde pulls out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Kubfu, the Wushu Pokemon. If Kubfu pulls the long white hair on its head, its fighting spirit heightens and power wells up from the depths of its belly." said the Rotom Phone.
"Cool!" said Lana. They all watch as Kubfu suddenly leaps at Master Mustard and unleash a fast and furious barrage of punches which Master Mustard is easily able to block.
"Wow. Cute and fierce! Kind of reminds me of me, only not as cute as I am." said Lola. Lana does an eyeroll in response. Kubfu suddenly leaps at a pillar and lands a solid kick on it, then does a backflip off of and lands in front of the Loud siblings and Clyde. When it notices them, it suddenly looked a little scared and runs behind Master Mustard's leg.
"Oh, it's shy." said Leni. Kubfu peeks from behind Master Mustard out of curiosity, but then ducks back when it sees Clyde looking at it. Master Mustard chuckles at this.
"Umm...Hello." Kubfu shyly says.
"This Pokemon is in fact the secret armor of the Master Dojo." said Master Mustard. "Say hello to...Kubfu!"
"Hi, Kubfu." said Clyde.
"I know...I know... It's tiny." said Master Mustard. "But raise it with diligence, and it'll become strong enough to see you through any battle, just like a suit of armor. No opponent can get past it!"
"Just because something's small, doesn't mean it's weak." said Lincoln. "My sister, Lynn, can easily take down a full-grown adult; mainly our dad."
"And Lola can be quite fierce at times." said Luna.
"You better believe it, sister." said Lola. Master Mustard looks down at Kubfu.
"This one in particular has amazing potential!" said Master Mustard. "Problem is...it's a bit...shy." said Master Mustard.
"We kind of noticed that." said Lincoln.
"It just doesn't seem to have much confidence in itself." said Master Mustard. "So, I was thinking, Clyde; Maybe if Kubfu joins you and your friends on your adventure, that'll help break it out of its shell."
"That sounds okay with me." said Clyde.
"I don't see why not." said Lincoln.
"How can I say no to such a little cutie." said Leni.
"So you'll do it?" asked Master Mustard.
"Sure. We'll be glad to bring Kubfu along with us." said Clyde.
"Excellent. So take good care of Kubfu; he's in your hands now!" said Master Mustard. Clyde drops to one knee to put himself on equal footing with Kubfu.
"I'm going with him?" Kubfu asked Master Mustard, who nods in response.
"Does Master Mustard understand Kubfu?" asked Lana.
"He doesn't have PokeTranslators like we do." said Lola.
"Maybe he's learned to understand Pokemon over time." said Lincoln.
"That would be so cool if we can understand Pokemon without the need for PokeTranslators if they ever run out of power or break somehow." said Clyde. Kubfu walks over to Clyde and looks up at him.
"Let's do this, partner." said Kubfu.
"Sure." said Clyde.
"Now the first thing you need to do is become best friends with Kubfu." said Master Mustard. "You need to build trust."
"How do I do that?" asked Clyde.
"Kubfu hasn't had a chance to explore the world outside the dojo." said Master Mustard. "Maybe it'll help you become better friends if you let it look around. Maybe take it to a spot that has a great view of the Isle of Armor."
"Sounds like a good idea to me." said Clyde.
"I'll have my students standing at good spots, so just keep an eye out." said Master Mustard.
"Yes, Master Mustard." said Clyde.
"And also battling and camping out together will help you become more friendly towards each other." said Master Mustard. "And I hearby grant you and your friends' permission to keep a Pokemon out of its pokeball here in the Isle of Armor."
"Thanks, Master Mustard." said Clyde. Master Mustard returns Kubfu to its pokeball and hands it to Clyde. The instant it touches his hand, it disappears to storage, surprising everyone.
"Clyde already has six Pokemon with him." said Lincoln.
"I'm on it." said Clyde as he pulls out his Rotom Phone and uses it to swap his Quagsire for Kubfu. He also uses his Rotom Phone to look at his new Kubfu's information. "This says that Kubfu is a boy, he knows Rock Smash, Leer, Endure, and Focus Energy. He has the Inner Focus ability which prevents him from flinching and having his attack strength lowered by Intimidate."
"That's so cool." said Lincoln. Just then, Hyde walks over to Clyde.
"Congratulations on completing the final trial." said Hyde.
"Thanks." said Clyde. Hyde pulls out a pokeball from his pocket and tosses it, releasing a strange, pink and blue Pokemon with a polyhedral body and hexagon-shaped eyes.
"What kind of Pokemon is that?" asked Lana.
"It's so weird looking." said Lola.
"This is Porygon. The very first artificial Pokemon." said Hyde.
"Artificial?" replied Leni.
"It's like it's made from stuff that a living creature isn't normally made from. Just like how movie theatre popcorn butter isn't made from milk like regular butter is." said Lincoln.
"That's so weird." said Lola.
"Lisa would be very interested in this Pokemon. Artificial life is probably something she'd be curious about." said Lincoln. Clyde takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Porygon.
"Porygon, the Virtual Pokemon. In recent years, this species has been very helpful in cyberspace. These Pokémon will go around checking to make sure no suspicious data exists." said the Rotom Phone.
"I'm far too busy inventing to look after Porygon." said Hyde. "Perhaps you or one of your friends would be willing to look after it?" Clyde looks at everyone else.
"I wanna focus on Kubfu for now." said Clyde. "Can one of you take care of it?"
"I'll do it, dude. I can use some more Pokemon." said Luna. Hyde returns Porygon to its pokeball and hands it to Luna, which vanishes to storage. Luna swaps her Poliwag for Porygon for now. She pulls out her Rotom Phone to look up her new Porygon's information. "This says Porygon is neither a boy or a girl, it knows Tackle, Conversion, Recycle, Magnet Rise, Thunder Shock, Psybeam, and Conversion 2. It has the Analytic ability which powers it up when it's attacked first in a battle." After that, they all exit the dojo and decide to make some dinner. After dinner was made, Lincoln reaches down to grab a fork; but before he could grab it, A dark gray, foxlike Pokemon with red and black accents jumps in front of it, grabs it, and jumps onto a rock.
"Hey, give that back!" said Lincoln. The Pokemon sets the fork onto the rock and grins at Lincoln. Lincoln takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Zorua, the Tricky Fox Pokemon. Zorua sometimes transforms into a person and goes into cities to search for food. When Zorua does this, it usually takes on the form of a child." said the Rotom Phone.
"Sounds like this Pokemon's a master of disguise." said Lincoln. He pulls a pokeball out of his pocket. "Rockruff, let's go!" He throws Rockruff's pokeball and releases him. "Okay, Rockruff, use Rock Throw!" A white orb of light appears on Rockruff's tail and rocks fly out of it, hitting the Zorua. Zorua leaps at Rockruff and claws him repeatedly, but not doing much damage. "That looked like Fury Swipes. Good thing normal type moves don't work well against rock type Pokemon. Okay, Rockruff, Tackle!" Rockruff runs at Zorua and rams it, knocking it to the ground. Lincoln takes out an empty pokeball, enlarges it, and throws it at Zorua, hitting it. It gets sucked into the pokeball and after it wiggled around a few times, it stops and clicks, indicating Zorua's capture. "Yeah! I caught a Zorua!"
"Way to go, bro!" said Luna. Zorua's pokeball vanishes and is transported to storage. Lincoln looks at Rockruff.
"Good work, Rockruff." said Lincoln.
"Thanks." said Rockruff. He suddenly runs to the shore of the beach and looks at the sun which was setting.
"Rockruff?" said Lincoln. Rockruff suddenly howls and begins to glow. "Whoa. Rockruff's evolving." Everyone watches as Rockruff begins to change. When the glowing stopped, Rockruff was now bigger, his fur was thicker and gold orange and white, and the rocks around his neck were longer and sharper. Lincoln takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at his newly evolved Rockruff.
"Lycanroc, the Wolf Pokemon and the evolved form of Rockruff. These Pokémon have both calm and ferocious qualities. Their temperamental nature makes them a difficult species to raise." said the Rotom Phone.
"This is so awesome!" cheered Lincoln. "And according to this, you now know Crush Claw and Accelerock, and you have the Tough Claws ability which strengthens your physical attacks."
"Congratulations, Lincoln." said Lana.
"Your Lycanroc's new colors suit you, Linky." said Leni. Lincoln grabbed his fork from the rock and he and his new Lycanroc returned to the others. Just then, LIncoln's Rotom Phone rings and he looks at the Caller ID to see his mother's name on it.
"Hey, it's Mom." said Lincoln. Everyone gathers around Lincoln's Rotom Phone, and he turns on video chat, showing the rest of the Loud family, along with Clyde's dads.
"Hey, everybody." said Rita.
"How are you kiddos doing in Galar?" asked Lynn Sr. They told them about Clyde's battle against Klara, how he won, and their newly acquired Pokemon. Lisa was astounded by what she learned about Porygon.
"Unbelievable! An artificial lifeform?! I never once considered that to be a possibility." said Lisa with enthusiasm.
"And that Cram-O-Matic he invented is awesome, too." said Lincoln. "I mean, combining items together to create something you never thought the combination of items would make."
"Fascinating." said Lisa. "I'm tempted to go over there myself and meet this Hyde boy." Rita and Lynn Sr. give Lisa stern looks.
"Don't even think about it, Lisa!" said Rita. Lisa sulks in response. Rita then looks back at the screen. "Anyway, we're glad you kids are doing just fine."
"And Clyde, I hope you can help your Kubfu become more confident in himself." said Harold McBride.
"I'll do my absolute best, Dad." said Clyde.
"Maybe I should go over there and teach Kubfu a few of my moves." said Lynn Jr, making Rita glare at her.
"Don't YOU even think about it, either." said Rita.
"And you're still in the middle of softball season." said Lynn Sr.
"Oh yeah." said Lynn Jr with some minor disappointment. They all talk for a bit longer before ending the call. After that, everyone decides to call it a day and go right to sleep.
