Taking on the Titan
Lincoln and Clyde looked at the giant Klawf, looking down at them from the cliff wall it was clinging onto with stunned looks on their faces.
"This must be the Titan Pokemon." said Lincoln.
"It's huge!" said Clyde. Lincoln pulls his Rotom Phone out of his pocket and dials Arven's number. After one ring, Arven appears on Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"Yes, Lincoln?" said Arven.
"We found one of the Titan Pokemon." replied Lincoln.
"Where?!" asked Arven.
"At South Province Area Two." said Lincoln. "I'll send you my coordinates." He then sent Arven the coordinates.
"I'll be right there." said Arven. He then hangs up. Lincoln puts his Rotom Phone away and looks back at the giant Klawf.
The regular Klawfs scatter away while the Titan Pokemon jumps off the cliff wall and lands in front of Lincoln and Clyde. It lets out a loud yell and raises its claws. "I think it wants to battle us."
"Well, let's not disappoint it." replied Lincoln as he and Clyde each pull out a pokeball. "Go, Floragato!" He throws Floragato's pokeball and releases him.
"Quaxwell, let's go!" said Clyde, throwing Quaxwell's pokeball and releasing him. "Quaxwell, use Aqua Jet!" Quaxwell becomes surrounded by water and he flies at the Titan Pokemon, ramming into it, and dealing super effective damage. The Titan Pokemon grabs Quaxwell with one of its claws and squeezes him, hurting him. "I think that's Vise Grip!"
"Floragato, Leafage!" said Lincoln. Floragato releases multiple, glowing green leaves from his body, and they hit the giant Klawf, dealing super effective damage, and making it release Quaxwell. The Titan Pokemon began to get angry, and it begins surging with energy. "Oh man, I think this Titan Pokemon has the Anger Shell ability also."
"So now its attack strength and speed have both increased." said Clyde.
"Yeah, but its defense is weakened." said Lincoln. The giant Klawf raises one of its pincers and it glows white; it swings it down at Floragato, and smashes him with it, hurting him. "That was Rock Smash!"
"Quaxwell, Work Up!" said Clyde. Quaxwell becomes surrounded by a light red aura and his strength increases.
"Hone Claws, Floragato!" said Lincoln. Floragato extends his claws from his hands, and he becomes surrounded by orange energy, increasing his attack strength and accuracy. The Titan Pokemon reaches at Floragato with one of its pincers. "Dodge it!" Floragato jumps up, dodging the Titan Pokemon's pincer as it tried to grab him.
"Water Gun!" said Clyde. Quaxwell releases a spiral of water from his bill, and it hits the Titan Pokemon, dealing super effective damage.
"Magical Leaf!" said Lincoln. Floragato jumps up and releases glowing green leaves from his body, and they hit the giant Klawf, dealing super effective damage to it. It falls back and lands on its shell. It rolls back to its legs and scurries back to the cliff it was on and climbs around it. Lincoln and Clyde, along with their Pokemon followed it. They saw it was standing in front of the cliff; it smashes the cliff wall with its pincers, revealing an opening.
"What's it doing?" asked Clyde.
"Lincoln! Clyde!" they hear someone call out to them. They look to see Arven running to them.
"Arven." said Lincoln. Arven reaches them and looks at the Titan Pokemon.
"You two actually found it." said Arven. "So, this is the Stony Cliff Titan? No Klawf has any business being that big." The Titan Pokemon pulls a glowing pink herb from the opening it made on the cliff wall and begins eating it. "You think it's going to get stronger after eating that herb?"
"Let's watch." said Lincoln. The Titan Pokemon turned towards them and becomes surrounded by a pillar of pink energy. The pillar of energy vanishes, and the Titan Pokemon was surrounded by a pink aura. Floragato and Quaxwell stepped in front of Lincoln and Clyde. Arven throws a pokeball, releasing a Shellder. Lincoln then takes out his Tera Orb and throws it at Floragato. Crystal pillars rise up around him, then shatter, revealing Floragato with crystal fur and crystal flowers on his head.
"I have got to get one of those Tera Orbs." said Clyde.
"Okay, Floragato, use Tail Whip!" said Lincoln. Floragato leaps at the Titan Pokemon and wags his tail onto it, weakening its defense.
"Water Gun!" said Clyde.
"You too, Shellder." said Arven. Quaxwell and Shellder both releases spirals of water that hit the Titan Pokemon, dealing super effective damage to it. The giant Klawf got angry, and it surges with energy.
"Looks like its Anger Shell ability activated." said Lincoln. The Titan Pokemon raises one of its pincers and smashes it onto Shellder, hurting it. Its defense suddenly weakened.
"Aqua Jet!" said Clyde. Quaxwell flies at the Titan Pokemon while surrounded by water and rams it, dealing super effective damage. The giant Klawf smashes its pincer onto Quaxwell, knocking it to the ground.
"Floragato, Magical Leaf!" said Lincoln. Floragato jumps up and releases glowing green leaves from his body, and they hit the giant Klawf, dealing massive damage to it due to Floragato's strength being increased from his Tera Form and the Titan Pokemon's defense being greatly weakened by its Anger Shell ability. It lands on the ground, unconscious. "Way to go, Floragato!" Floragato raises his arms and lets out a yell of victory. He then returns to his regular form.
"You too, Quaxwell." said Clyde. Quaxwell nods in response. Arven walks over to them.
"Great work, you two." said Arven.
"Thanks." said Lincoln.
"That Titan Pokemon was tough." said Clyde.
"I don't like having something so tough out to get me." said Arven. Lincoln looks into the opening the Titan Pokemon made.
"You think there's more of those Herba Mysticas that giant Klawf was eating in there?" asked Lincoln.
"Let's look and see before that Titan Pokemon wakes up." said Arven. They returned their Pokemon to their pokeballs and walked into the opening. Once inside, Arven looked around until he saw a glowing pink herb. "No way!" He, along with Lincoln and Clyde walk over to it. "It's the Sweet Herba Mystica! It looks just like it does in the book!"
"Wow." said Lincoln.
"Thanks, you two; I couldn't have found it without your help." said Arven.
"Glad we can help." said Lincoln. Arven reaches into his backpack and pulls out the book; he opens it up and reads it.
"It says here that this Herba Mystica is good for gut health and helps aid digestion." said Arven. "It's great for stomachaches, too, or if you want to simulate the ol' appetite."
"Cool." said Clyde.
"Now if I can only get him to eat some." Arven says to himself.
"What was that?" asked Clyde.
"Nothing." said Arven. "Now it's time to show you what I can do. Time for you two to get a taste of my cooking." He sets up a table and begins cooking. Minutes later, submarine sandwiches were on plates on the table. "Here you go, an Arven original sandwich."
"Whoa. Those look so good." said Lincoln. "My sister, Lynn, loves submarine sandwiches, so she would think so, too." Minutes later, they were sitting on rocks, patting their stomachs.
"Those sandwiches were great, Arven." said Clyde. "You know, I like to cook, too; maybe we can exchange recipes someday."
"That sounds great." said Arven. Lincoln notices another sandwich on the table.
"So, what are you going to do with that last sandwich?" asked Lincoln.
"Oh, I'm saving that for later." replied Arven.
"Oh, okay." replied Lincoln. Arven reaches into his backpack and pulls out what appeared to be two badges with a symbol of a rock on each of them.
"I also want to give each of you one of these badges I made, a way of thanking you for helping me with that Titan Pokmeon." said Arven.
"Wow." said Lincoln as he and Clyde each take a badge.
"I call them Titan Badges." said Arven. "Unfortunately, they can't help you get into the Paldea League."
"No problem. We can always get the badges we need for at from the gyms." said Lincoln.
"Can we go to one, Lincoln?" asked Clyde.
"Sure. Let's go the one in Cortondo." said Lincoln. He and Clyde get up and walked towards the opening. Lincoln turned to see Arven still sitting. "What are you going to do now, Arven?"
"I'm just going to pack up my stuff and go back to the academy." replied Arven. "You guys go ahead."
"Okay. Later, Arven." said Lincoln. He and Clyde exited the cave. Arven stands up and walks to the table. He pulls a pokeball out of his pocket and looks at it.
"Okay, buddy; it's your turn now." said Arven. He tosses the pokeball up and it opens, releasing a white light.
Back at South Province Area Three, Lincoln and Clyde were travelling east back to Mesagoza where they have to get through on their way to Cortondo where their first gym battle awaits them. As they travelled, they were being followed by Charcadet.
