Sunset Shimmer's Bird Watching Day

The next day, Sunset Shimmer decided to go out once again.

"Ok," she thought, "So what's in it for today?" For a few minutes, she walked along, thinking about what to do today. "So what's going on today?" Sunset Shimmer thought before she noticed a flock of birds flying overhead.

"Hmm," thought sunset Shimmer as she watched the birds fly towards the east, "Perhaps today, I'll do bird watching."

So, Sunset Shimmer returned home to get her binoculars and a book about birds.

When Sunset Shimmer got everything she needs, she walked towards a certain place on a hilltop to get a better view of the flying birds. "All right," Sunset Shimmer thought, "Let me start now."

So Sunset Shimmer sat down with her binoculars in her hooves, and waited. "This might take a while," Sunset Shimmer thought after a few minutes, "For those birds to come flying by."

It was almost 2 hours for Sunset Shimmer to see any birds. Then a group of birds flew past. "Hey," Sunset Shimmer thought, "A group of pigeons." She immediately looked at her book to find the matching bird.

"They're Band-Tailed Pigeons," Sunset Shimmer declared. Then she saw another flock of birds. "Those are Morning Doves," Sunset Shimmer said, "I know the sound they make." Next, Sunset Shimmer saw more birds flying overhead.

"Those are Spine-Tailed Swifts," Sunset Shimmer said, "And that's a Peregrine Falcon, flying extremely fast! I heard they're the fasted animals in Equestria!" Next, Sunset Shimmer saw an eagle in the distance.

"An eagle!" Sunset Shimmer said, "Well, I'm aware of their reputation and image." Sunset Shimmer then saw a group of ducks, swans and geese. "There must be a lake nearby," thought Sunset Shimmer.

For many hours, actually, all day, Sunset Shimmer saw a great number of birds from robins to swallows to splendid cardinals.

"They're all great birds," thought Sunset Shimmer. And so the day finished off with the last of the birds flying towards a forest. "Those are Oropendolas," Sunset Shimmer said and then she noticed that the sun is starting to go down.

"Well, that was interesting," said Sunset Shimmer as she used her magic to pick up her book and left for home. She didn't mind that there was no other pony with her, as she liked watching the birds alone.
