Timberwolves
Today, Sunset Shimmer has already decided to go out and think about what to do in the future. "I wonder," she began, "If I can do it." By now, she has read most about Princess Celestia, so she has started to make her own plans.
After she did her routine morning activities, she headed outside. She was thinking about what to do today. So she decided to go to a secret cave where no pony has ever been to in a long time. "Dusty in here," Sunset Shimmer said, coughing a bit from the dust inside.
Then she quickly said, "Oh, let me start now." With a blast of her magic, which resulted in a cloud of dust exploding from the cave like steam from a locomotive, Sunset Shimmer was in a clearer cave.
"Good," she said, "Now for some alone time." She blocked off the entrance of the cave, thus making it really dark inside.
"Good," Sunset Shimmer said, "Now, time to go for it!" First, she generated light on her horn. "Excellent," Sunset Shimmer thought, "Now!" Inside the cave, Sunset Shimmer practiced using light magic.
The flashes illuminated the inside of the cave like a light show. "I won't be afraid of the dark now," Sunset Shimmer thought to herself.
For the whole day, Sunset Shimmer used her magic to generate light shows inside the cave. She wanted it to be the equivalent to Princess Celestia's magic. "I hope I can get that close," Sunset Shimmer thought.
All day, she made light effects one after another. She'd never stopped once to take a break. "This is really fun!" Sunset Shimmer said out loud. She was impressed to hear her own voice echo from inside the cave.
However, Sunset Shimmer ended up staying inside the cave for way too long. During her practice, some of her magic hit the large rock blocking the cave entrance, moving it.
But no light shone though. That's because it's nighttime. By the time Sunset Shimmer had finished, she knew that the entrance is open, but no light shone.
"Wait a minute," Sunset Shimmer thought. She then moved the big rock with her magic and made a surprise realization. "Uh oh," Sunset Shimmer thought to herself, "I knew I stayed out too long. I really did have fun today. Oh well, fun's over now."
She was about to run home when she heard a strange howling sound. "What's that?" she asked as she exited the cave. Then she had an awful feeling.
"Uh oh," she thought. Just as she said that, she was immediatley surrounded by large creatures. Sunset Shimmer took a look at the creatures in the dark of the night and knew that they were all made out of logs.
"Timberwolves!" Sunset Shimmer exclaimed, "I've heard about these creatures made out of entirely of logs!" The creatures called timberwolves stared at Sunset Shimmer.
"I should have realized this would have happened to me!" Sunset Shimmer said as one timberwolf walked up to her and growled.
"Ugh!" groaned Sunset Shimmer, reacting to the terrible smell of its breath, "Haven't you ever heard of mouthwash?!" In response, the timberwolves attacked Sunset Shimmer.
However, Sunset Shimmer was too quick for the beasts made out of logs. "Ha!" Sunset Shimmer burst out. Turns out, she is not tired from practicing her magic all day. She can still move around. The timberwolves were quick to attack once again.
"Come on and get me, you deforested dogs!" Sunset Shimmer taunted. Once again, Sunset Shimmer avoided getting eaten by the timberwolves.
For a while, Sunset Shimmer kept dodging the timberwolves when they tried to attack her one way after another.
Finally, Sunset Shimmer decided that she had gotten bored with dodging the timberwolves jaws.
"Ok, I'm tired now," she said. This time, Sunset Shimmer got close to a ravine. "Come and get me you overloaded pile of lumber!" Sunset Shimmer called out to the timberwolves. Like she expected, all of the timberwolves charged towards Sunset Shimmer.
Sunset Shimmer was confident.
At the last minute, Sunset Shimmer teleported herself out of the way. She reappeared nearby, just in time to see all of the timberwolves fall into the ravine.
The timberwolves smashed at the bottom and all broke apart upon impact. "Now the final shot!" Sunset Shimmer said and she used her magic once more and created a fireball. She then fired her fireball at the remains of the timberwolves.
In an instant, the pile of logs that used to be the timberwolves has turned into the world's biggest campfire ever. "There," Sunset Shimmer said with relief, "Now there's a night light bonfire."
After that, Sunset Shimmer walked back to her home. "I don't think I'll be doing something like that ever again," Sunset Shimmer said as she returned home.
