Path To Strangeness

Now Sunset Shimmer had heard a strange voice. "Who is out there?" she asked demandingly, "Hey! Any pony! Or some thing!" Sunset Shimmer immediately stopped having fun and got off of the floating platforms so that she could start to get serious.

"Now who is out there?!" Sunset Shimmer asked once again, this time, she used her magic to get a clear view of her area. "I'm warning you!" she shouted. "You have invaded my territory," the strange voice went on, "And for that, you must be punished."

"Well, punish this!" Sunset Shimmer shouted, blasting her magic everywhere. "Oh, that tickles," the strange voice said tauntingly. "Get out here!" Sunset Shimmer shouted. And that's when the strange thing approached her.

"There you are," Sunset Shimmer said, who is now facing a strange being, "What are you?" "I am a mythical elf," the strange being said, "I've been watching you. You may call me Gnome."

"Well, Gnome," Sunset Shimmer said, "Or whatever you are, what do you want?" "Many years ago," Gnome said, "I was left alone. And no one wanted to make friends with me. Then one day, I found some strange magic and used it. I had a lot of fun with it for many years. Until you came around and ruined my fun."

"Well, I'm sorry," Sunset Shimmer said, "I'll be happy to leave you alone." "But since you've met me," Gnome went on, "I'm afraid I cannot allow you to leave. You'll have to die."

Gnome used his dark magic to trap Sunset Shimmer in a strange force field. "Well," Sunset Shimmer said, "I was happy to leave you alone, now that I know everything, but if you want a fight, that's fine with me. I'll be happy to kick your stupid butt."

"Don't underestimate me!" Gnome said. And the two prepared to use their magic in combat.
