Chapter 395: The Haunting of Fairway...

(October 22. Fairway University.)

We head to the place where Lori Loud is, and she is not alone. Carol is there, and Becky and Whitney. Dana is here for some reason, she came over to visit her friends from High School. Becky then asks. "So, when are they getting here?"

"We have to be patient. When they do get here, then they can help us with this" replied Carol.

"I hope they can, I haven't had any decent sleep for some time thanks to this haunting" replied Whitney.

Lori sighs and she then sees the car of Michelle arrive, and the door opens and they see it is Lincoln, Luna and Lucy. Michelle also comes out. "Alright, so the other day you called them because of a haunting?" They have some ghost tracking gear, and Lucy has her own ghost things.

Lori nods, but then Carol speaks. "This whole thing happened the other night, and we were practicing for the big golf test, and also this competition, but then things became super weird."

Lucy then asked. "How super weird?"

Lori then speaks. "We were at the course at night, literally practicing together, but then the ball which we all punted came back and then one of our nine irons came over, floating and same with the golf bags and we made a run for it."

Carol is next. "We were going to the library to get ready for the big test, then the books we had floated at us and opened and that freaked us out. We were gonna scream, but we stayed quiet and left quietly. It is a library after all."

Becky explains. "We went to get a drink, something to come us down which is an Arnold Palmer, and then the drinks showed up towards us, and we freaked out and left immediately."

Whitney is next, and she seems freaked out. "We went back to our dorm rooms, and we couldn't get any decent sleep because of some paranormal activity crud is going around and yet it didn't even happen!" She then whispers. "The ghost is taunting us, taunting us!"

This surprises them, but seeing Whitney like this freaks them out more. Luna then looks to Dana. "What are you doing here Dana?"

Dana explains. "Here to visit my gal pals, but then heard about this mess. So, I'm here to help as well. Do we need an Ouija Board or something for rituals?"

Lucy explains. "In my bag, we need to know what this ghost wants, and why it is bothering you guys. This doesn't seem to make sense, I could tell that you ladies haven't quite done anything troubling around here, so why the heck is the ghost haunting you girls?"

Lori then asks. "Luce, where are your spooky friends?"

Lucy explains. "Busy, also we will need to split up and figure something out. The answers we seek, remain somewhere within the school grounds, let it be hollow or not." They didn't like the sound of that, but this is Lucy, and she's always little Ms. Spooky.

Michelle then speaks. "Then it's settled then. I will go with Lori and Lincoln to the library. Lucy, you go to the place where the haunting started, and bring Dana and Whitney with you. Luna, you go with Becky and Carol to the students bar lounge." they all nod, though some of them don't wanna do this.

(The Practice Course.)

Lucy is here, and she tries to make contact to the ghost, and all while Whitney looks around in panic, and then Dana speaks. "Calm down, I don't think anything is happening now. Also, are those candles meant to be blue colored?"

Lucy notices this. "The paranormal presence is here, but it doesn't seem to be responding." she then has an idea. "Whitney hit the ball."

Whitney is confused, and so she has the ball, she takes a deep breath, and with a club she hits it, and it goes far and lands into a hole, to which Dana claps. "Impressive..." But then they see the ball float all the way back to them, and this makes Whitney drop the club and she screams and runs.

Dana goes after her, and Lucy looks around. 'Hmmm, this doesn't seem right. Doesn't make contact with me? Yet, does react or respond to anything golf related. I won't be able to get any answers here, perhaps the others are having better luck than I am.'

(The Students Lounge Bar.)

Luna walks in, followed by Becky and Carol. The trio look around and see the place doesn't have students hanging out yet, and so they go to the bar counter. Luna looks around. "There doesn't seem to be anything odd going on."

Becky then has an idea. She gulps. "An Arnold Palmer please." The drink arrives, as if it came out of nowhere, and this freaks her out.

Carol backs away. "Okay, so what the heck do we do now?"

Luna then asks. "Sir, what the heck are you doing here?" But nothing, and she checks the EVP device her brother let her use. "No response? This doesn't seem right, something is off about this."

Then another drink shows up, and so they back up and watch the glasses fall and the drinks spill. Carol speaks. "I wanna say that is a waste, and so wrong, but I am too scared to even do anything!" she then races off, and so does Becky. Luna sighs, and she goes after them.

(The Library.)

This is where Lincoln, Michelle and Lori are. Lori then guides them to the table. "This is where it happened, we had our books and we were about to study, but the books we chose literally started to float around, and it was super freaky."

Lincoln looks around, and he has an EVP and EMF. "We can't ask the ghost, we'll make the librarian angry, and there doesn't seem to be any energy and... Mom?" they see that she is talking to someone, and then this person doesn't wanna reply this, but then she grabs this student.

"Tell us what the heck is going on now? Because at this point, you're university will lose four other students."

This confuses the student, and he sees Lori looking upset, and he sighs. "Look for the Book of the Student Body of the 1900's." He then leaves, and so the trio look for the book, and then they find it.

"Huh, this is it." Michelle opens the book, and they see the information of the one known as Shanks Bogey.

Shanks Bogey. The Golf Whisperer and a true helper for everyone in Fairway of the whole Golfing thing, and is dubbed the best dang caddie around. He's helped Fairway in winning, and supporting them, motivation and more.

Lori then sees a note left in the book. "Says here, that the explanation of Shanks Bogey is for after freshmen are no longer freshmen. He is a current ghost, and the very presence of Shanks Bogey is a lucky charm and helper around here."

They all remain silent and are dumbfounded by this. "Are you serious right now?"

(Later.)

The group come together, and they are explained about what is happening and who they are dealing with. Lucy realizes. "That explains why he hasn't bothered to respond to me, and why he doesn't respond to an EVP session. He is bound to only make contact, to those who are students here."

Luna sighs. "Still everything he is doing won't do well for most new students, and would freak them out. I mean, the next generation for crying out loud."

Then Coach Niblets shows up. "Excuse me, I was told that you are aware of Shanks Bogey?"

Lori explains. "Coach, we're just... We just wanna do our own thing, and just... Sir, we can't handle Shanks Bogey going around and helping us, he is literally just freaking us out and I fear some of us..."

Whitney speaks. "Sir. His help has scared us, made us paranoid, and also we haven't even gotten any decent sleep, and I feel like..." she looks down in concern. "Not attending here anymore."

Carol sighs. "Same here, I mean. I wanna be part of this, but heck I don't wanna have a ghost tailing me all the time. I have my own gimmick, and I most certainly wasn't around during the early 1900's."

Other students hear this and are concerned. Michelle Lewis speaks. "Sir, we understand that this ghost is just helping, but not everyone will be so positive or alright with stuff moving, floating or... Seriously, it makes Fairway University look like the setting for the next Blumhouse Studios Paranormal Activity, the Dead Caddie."

The coach is surprised to hear this, but then some other freshmen students show up. "We're at the same problem too coach, and a lot of us are already thinking, of leaving."

This is a total surprise, and scares the coach and he didn't see this coming. He sighs. "Alright, alright. We'll speak with Shanks Bogey and have him not bother the freshmen and I guess you're right..."

"Excuse me?" asked Lincoln with his arms crossed.

"Sorry, you're all right. Not everyone is accustomed to ghosts around a school" replied the head master of the place.

Then Luna's EVP goes off with a voice. "Oh... A-Alright, I'm sorry."

They see some golf clubs stop floating, and a golf cart driving off to help others. Lori sighs. "Thanks for coming and helping us guys. For a minute there, I thought about signing up for the new College that FutureTech has established within Michigan."

That part horrifies the Coach, and students. They don't wanna lose their freshmen, especially Lori Loud. Becky speaks. "Now we can do what we do best, our way and with no paranormal to the Nun from Anabelle thing."

Dana sighs and she pats Becky's shoulder. "That is not helping, and stop watching horror movies."

They are glad that this has been fixed, and Michelle realizes. 'Glad that Lori called us, if she had called ARGGH! Then, things would turn bad and the school itself would end up getting meddled, by that damn agent of the show.'
