Luz was being moved under heavy guard towards the queen's room. She looked for a way out. The handcuffs were magically reinforced and could only be removed with the keys on the guard's belt. She thought Vee may go get help but with how far they were from the nearest town it could take hours. She wished she had some titan backup but King had picked the worst time to go visit the Collector. Alador and Edric decided against coming, deciding to stay by Emiras bedside in the event she doesn't pull out. Luz was

truly on her own in this predicament. As she was brought into the room who was before her than the nightmare of any married individual. The dreaded mother in law."Odalia, why am I not surprised you're the one behind this." Luz said." Ah if it isn't my failure of a daughter's pathetic excuse of a spouse. You should consider it lucky to grace my presence now kneel before your queen." Odalia said as Luz refused to kneel before the woman.``I said kneel!" Odalia demanded but Luz refused. Then the guards began

striking her knees with their staffs forcing Luz to kneel before Odalia. "How cute of you to think you and your foolish friends could stop me. All you have done is delay the inevitable." Odlaia said, gloating over her victory."Where is Amity and our baby?" Luz said, visibly pissed."Oh don't worry about mittens. She will soon be transported to my secret island compound and your child shall be molded into the perfect tool of my vengeance like all the other children. In no time I will have an army strong enough to

conquer the isles and take my place as queen." Odalia said maniacally, laughing like just about every stereotypical villain. " Of course that's where this writing was going." Luz said only to be confused as to why she said it. As she looked around her surroundings she swore she saw a guard nod at her."The dude probably has a crick in his neck" she thought. As she took a closer look at Odalia she noticed she was holding her staff. "Don't you dare harm stringbean!" Luz screamed only for a guard to strike her"How dare

you scream at your queen. Know your place, human trash!" The guard captain said only for Odalia to halt any further actions."Oh I have no intentions to harm her, in fact I intend to keep her. Once I am in control of the demon realm it will be adorned over my throne room as a symbol of my victory over the so-called hero of the isles." Odalia said as Luz felt defeated. Was this truly the end? She could see no way out."So this is how it ends. Me as your prisoner while you destroy everything I love." Luz said in a very

defeated voice."Oh no you won't live to see my conquest. But don't worry, I'll take good care of your child." Odalia said as she ordered the guard to ready their staff to execute Luz when suddenly Kikimora barged in. She was short of breath and in clear distress."What is it my love?" Odlaia asked as the small demon exclaimed"My Queen Gov't forces have begun an assault on the compound we are outnumbered." Kikimora said as the smile returned to Luz's face. "Deploy the reserves and get the airships

launched at once." Odalia ordered. "But my Queen, the hangar door has yet to be repaired." Kikimora said, which caused Odalia to be clearly frustrated."Looks like your plan has fallen apart bec of yours truly." Luz said smug af. Odalia was clearly angered. Her carefully laid out plans were crumbling before her. "No matter. Tell the guards to fight to the death. We must buy all possible time to repair the hangar door and transport all children to the airships and have mine ready with its special cargo." Odalia ordered as

Kikimora and several other guards left the room to put her words into action. "My queen, what about the human?" The captain of the guard asked. "Don't just stand there, kill her at once." Odlaia ordered as Luz closed her eyes waiting for the blast. "At least I die knowing I didn't fail the Isles. I just wish I knew Amity was safe." Luz thought as she heard the artificial magic staffs being charged. Suddenly she heard the BLAST but found she was still breathing. As she opened her eyes she saw one of the guards had

turned on the other and shot them. "What in titans name are you doing!" Odaila exclaimed as the guard looked at the queen and shouted. "SAVING MY SISTER!" Vee said as she returned to her human form and began using the staff to drive off the other guards forcing Odalia to flee, dropping stringbean in the process. Soon all that was left standing was Luz and Vee."Oh my titan, am I glad to see you." Luz said as Vee used the keys from one of the guards to remove the handcuffs. " After you guys got caught I

went undercover. Amity is fine; she is being taken to Odalia's private airship. If you hurry you can catch her." Vee said as Luz rubbed her wrist."Thanks Vee. You better go free the others and link up with the gov't forces."Luz said as she began to Chase after Odalia. "Wait, you're gonna need this." Vee said as she tossed stringbean and her bag of glyphs towards Luz who caught the staff. "Thanks Vee!" Luz shouted as she went down the hallway Odalia had gone filled with a sense of determination that she would stop Odlaia

once and for all. As she approached the private hangar she ran into a squad of 6 monarchists. These were members of the queen's elite guard. The last line of defense for Odalia."This is where your journey ends human!" One of the guards shouted. Luz readed her staff. "Oh really. I'd like to see you try." Luz said as she dared them to stop her. They charged at her Using their staffs to launch magic attacks at her but using an ice glyph she made a shield which absorbed the attack. Now it was her turn Activating a fire

glyph and throwing it at one of them knocking the guard out cold. One attempted to strike her with their staff as if it were a club but using stringbean she deflected the attack and grabbed a plant glyph trapping the guard in a web of vines. "For being an elite guard you are pretty lame." Luz said, mocking them as the remaining 4 charged. Just as she wanted she readied her staff and with one blast she sent the 4 flying into the wall, the force knocking them out cold. "Man, I wish I had a staples button right now." Luz

said well knowing none of them would get the joke but no less she continued toward the hangar. As she arrived at a viewpoint overlooking the hagar she could see them loading amity on a wheelchair tied up onto the airship. "Im'm coming sweet potato." Luz said as she made her way down but alas she was too late. By the time she had reached the hangar the airship had taken off. "No, I'm not letting you slip my grasp." Luz said as she climbed on her staff and gave chase to the airship.

Wow guys. I can't believe I made it this far writing this story. Part of me is happy its almost done but part of me is sad. Just about 2 chapters are left to write and they should be done pretty soon
