Pokémon League part 4 Lincoln vs Cross
Lincoln and group we're on the videophone with their family and friends.
"Hey prima, your battle was awesome," Carlota said."
"Thanks," Ronnie Anne said."
"Hey, Ronnie Anne, can you get me her number?" Carl asked."
"Please smack him," Ronnie Anne replied."
Carlota smacks Carl in the back of the head.
"Ow!" Carl yelled."
"Thank you," Ronnie Anne said."
Lynn notices Lincoln's face expression.
"Hey bro, what's up?" Lynn asked."
"Just anxious, because I'm facing Cross tomorrow in the semifinals," Lincoln replied."
Everyone was shocked by the news.
"What?! you're facing that jerk?" Leni asked."
"Yup," Lincoln replied."
"Link, you sure you can handle him after last time?" Lana asked."
"Yeah, after seeing that footage of you taking the hit for your Pokémon, we're worried he might do the same thing," Leni said."
"And the bet you made with him about your rainbow wing," Luna said."
"I know, and I won't underestimate him again," Lincoln said."
"Then, we'll be rooting for you bro," Lynn said."
"Thanks guys," Lincoln said."
The next day, the semifinals begin.
"Alright, it's time for the semifinals!" the announcer said."
The crowd cheers as Lincoln and Cross enters the field. At the loud house, the louds were showing their angry looks as they see Cross especially Lynn.
"Can he beat him?" Benny asked."
"Yeah, he's the man with the plan," Luan replied."
"I hope he puts that jerk in his place," Dana said."
"Yeah," Roger said."
"I already have plans to send him to the underworld," Lucy said."
Back at the battlefield,
"Glad you made it," Cross said."
"Oh, and why's that?" Lincoln asked."
"Because I'm going to enjoy crushing you and taking what's rightfully mine," Cross replied eyeing the rainbow wing around Lincoln's neck."
"We'll see about that," Lincoln said."
"Let the battle begin!" the announcer said."
"Lycanroc go!" Both Lincoln and Cross said."
They send out their lycanrocs with Lincoln's looking orange.
Back at the loud house,
"Aw yeah, links going with Lycanroc," Rusty said."
Charles barks cheering on Lycanroc.
"Show him who's boss Lincoln," Stella said."
Back at the battlefield, in the audience,
"Come on little loud," Bobby said."
"Togepi, lets cheer hard for daddy, ok?" Ronnie Anne asked."
Togepi giggles.
"Use accelorock!" Lincoln said."
"Counter it!" Cross said."
Lincoln's lycanroc rushes towards Cross's but his Lycanroc catches him.
Back at the loud house,
"Dang, he must've anticipated that," Lisa said."
"Come on link," Lori said."
Back at the battlefield,
Cross's Lycanroc tosses links Lycanroc.
"Use stealth rock!" Cross said."
His Lycanroc punches the ground and made stones grow out of the ground.
"Dodge and use Crunch!" Lincoln said."
His Lycanroc dodges the attack, and his claws turn silver and slices Cross's Lycanroc.
"Not bad, but not enough. Use earthquake!" Cross said."
His Lycanroc punches the ground causing the ground to shake. the attack causes damage.
Back at the loud house,
"Talk about a real shaky situation," Luan laughed." get it?"
Lynn sr. Benny, Giggles, Albert, and Myrtle laughed as the others groaned.
"That move was crazy," Carl said."
Back at the battlefield,
"Use Accelorock!" Lincoln and Cross said."
Both Lycanrocs used accelorock on each other, the attacks caused a big explosion. as the smoke clears with both Pokémon knocked out.
"Both Pokémon are unable to battle, this battle ends in a tie," the referee said."
Back at the loud house,
"The first round being a tie, who would've thought," Lynn sr. said."
"I agree," Carlos said."
Back at the battlefield, in the audience,
"The first round being a tie, good start," Clyde said."
"Kind of," Ronnie Anne said."
"Sceptile go!" Cross said."
He sends out a Sceptile.
"That's one big gecko," Bobby said."
"Gallade go!" Lincoln said."
He sends out Gallade.
Back at the loud house,
"Gallade still looks cool," Lola said."
"He looks like a prince charming," Carlota said."
Dana, Becky, and Carol blush seeing Gallade.
Back at the battlefield,
"Sceptile, use bullet seed!" Cross said."
Sceptile shoots bullet seeds at Gallade.
"Use protect!" Lincoln said."
Gallade uses protect to defend from Sceptile's attack.
"Now, use close combat!" Lincoln said."
Gallade lunges at Sceptile.
"Dig!" Cross said."
Sceptile digs underground and dodges Gallade's attack. Then Sceptile comes out with an uppercut, Gallade uses a mega kick to Sceptile as he was sent flying.
"Use psycho cut!
"Use leaf blade!" Cross said."
Two of the Pokémon's arms glow and turn into blades. they both lung at each other their attacks clash ending with the Pokémon on opposite sides. Gallade lands on one knee thinking that Sceptile won, but Sceptile faints.
"Sceptile is unable to battle, Gallade is the winner," the referee said."
Cross recalls Sceptile.
'How is this white hair freak this good?' Cross thought.'
"Ariados go!" Cross said."
Back at the loud house,
"Ahhhhhhh spider!" Lynn sr. and Leni screamed."
Everyone rolls their eyes.
Back at the battlefield.
"Ariados, poison sting!" Cross said."
Ariados shoots poison sting at Gallade as he was still tired out. the attack hits him knocking him out.
"Gallade is unable to battle, Ariados wins," the referee said."
Back at the loud house,
"No! Gallade!" Carlota said."
"He was so young and handsome," Lola said."
Back at the battlefield,
"Tsareena, you're up!" Lincoln said."
He sends out Tsareena.
"String shot!" Cross said."
Ariados shoots its string shot. it catches Tsareena making her fall.
"Now poison sting!" Cross said."
Ariados fires poison sting at Tsareena.
"Finish it with poison fang!" Cross said."
Ariados jumps and was about to use poison fang.
"Tsareena, use double kick!" Lincoln said."
On the ground, Tsareena uses double kick and sends Ariados into the air.
"Now, use stomp!" Lincoln said."
Tsareena still tied up from string shot gets up and jumps into the air, she uses stomp at full force and sends Ariados to the ground. Ariados was knocked out as Tsareena lands on the ground.
"Ariados is unable to battle, Tsareena wins," the referee said."
Back at the loud house,
"Yes, she beat that awful spider," Leni said."
"Yeah," Lynn sr. said."
Everyone rolled their eyes.
Back at the stadium,
after getting poisoned, Lincoln recalls Tsareena.
"Better rest Tsareena," Lincoln said."
"Swampert, go!" Cross said."
He sends out Swampert.
Back at the loud house,
"Whoa, that Pokémon looks cool," Lana said."
"Really?" Lola asked sarcastically.
"What it has swamp in its name," Lana replied."
Back at the stadium, in the audience,
(Looking at his pokedex)" Looks like this Pokémon is both water and ground," Clyde said."
"That means he can't use Pikachu," Bobby said."
"Absol, you're up!" Lincoln said."
He sends out Absol.
Back at the loud house,
"So, he's using the misunderstood Pokémon?" Lynn asked."
"Looks like it," Lucy replied."
"That's the Pokémon labeled bad luck?" Becky asked."
"Yup," Lynn replied." Link told us that Absol's kind were blamed for disasters even though they were trying to save people."
"Wow, that does sound unfair," Roger said."
"Yeah," I Otta pound those morons," Margo said."
Back at the stadium,
"Ice punch!" Cross said."
"Dodge and use night slash!" Lincoln said."
Absol dodges Swampert's attack and uses night slash. the attack hits and causes damage.
"Use mud bomb!" Cross said,"
Swampert fires a mud bomb at Absol causing damage.
"Use hyper fang!" Lincoln said."
Absol uses hyper fang on Swampert.
"Finish with razor wind!" Lincoln said."
Absol finishes the battle with razor wind. Swampert falls.
"Swampert is unable to battle, Absol wins," the referee said."
Cross recalls Swampert as he grits his teeth.
'How is he stronger?' Cross thought.'
"Raichu go!" Cross said."
He sends out Raichu.
"Pikachu go!" Lincoln said."
Pikachu jumps off of Lincoln's shoulder and heads to the field.
"I'm ready," Pikachu said."
"Use iron tail!" Lincoln and Cross said."
Pikachu and Raichu use their iron tails at each other, hitting and dodging each other.
"Use mega punch!" Cross said."
Raichu ducks under Pikachu's iron tail and uses mega punch in Pikachu's gut. Raichu then grabs Pikachu with its tail and slams him to the ground.
"Use hyper beam!" Cross said."
Raichu fires hyper beam at Pikachu.
In the audience,
"Crud, this guy is brutal," Bobby said."
Back at the loud house,
"An up-close attack, that's crazy," CJ said."
"And holding Pikachu with its tail to do it is insane," Rusty said."
"Will Pikachu be ok?" Leni asked concerned."
Back at the stadium,
Pikachu gets up still injured from the hyper beam.
"Pikachu, can you still fight?" Lincoln asked."
"Yeah, no hyper beam will stop me," Pikachu replied."
"Alright then, use quick attack and thunder fang!
Pikachu uses quick attack on Raichu then uses thunder fang.
"Iron tail!" Lincoln said."
Pikachu uses iron tail on Raichu causing enough damage. Raichu gets up.
"Use volt tackle!" Lincoln and Cross said."
Pikachu and Raichu start running towards each other with volt tackle activated, they clash with a big explosion. the smoke clears with both Pokémon still standing, then they both fainted.
"Both Pokémon are unable to battle, this ends in a tie," the referee said."
Lincoln goes and picks up Pikachu and walks back to his side of the field.
"You did great buddy," Lincoln said."
Pikachu smiles as Cross recalls his Raichu.
"I don't get it, how is a white hair freak like you improved so much?" Cross asked."
Back at the loud house,
"WHAT DID THAT JERK SAY?" Lori asked angered."
"He called our brother a freak," Leni replied angered."
"If I was there, I would pummel that jerk," Lynn said."
"The underworld awaits him," Lucy said."
"Not until my experiments deal with him," Lisa said."
Back at the stadium, in the audience,
Ronnie Anne almost lost her cool, until Bobby stops her.
"Easy sis," Bobby said."
"I know, but that jerk really gets me mad," Ronnie Anne said."
"Incineroar go!" Cross said."
He sends out incineroar.
"Firestorm, you're up!" Lincoln said."
He sends out Firestorm.
"Well, well the little weak Pokémon evolved." Cross said."
"We've both got stronger," Lincoln said."
Back at the loud house,
"Alright Firestorm, you got this!" Lynn cheered."
"Yeah," Francisco said."
Back at the stadium,
"Use agility and poison jab!" Cross said."
Incineroar uses agility to circle Firestorm and use poison jab.
"Now use seismic toss!" Cross said."
Incineroar grabs Firestorm's tail and uses seismic toss and slams him on the ground.
"Cross chop!" Cross said."
Incineroar uses cross chop on Firestorm injuring him.
(laughing)" I guess you're all talk after all," Cross said." it's still the same weakling from before."
"Firestorm!" Lincoln yelled."
Back at the loud house,
"Talk about brutal," Margo said."
"This guy is nuts," Paula said."
"Wait look!" Lynn said pointing at the screen."
Back at the stadium,
(Struggling getting up)" Don't worry Lincoln, I'm still in this. We've been through so much, we're a team," Firestorm said."
Suddenly, Lincoln's key stone on his glove starts glowing along with Firestorms mega stone around his neck.
"Huh, our stones," Lincoln said."
The light from the stones glowed bright and Firestorm begins to change. his body turned black, his flames turned blue, blue flames appeared around his mouth, spikes appeared on his shoulders becoming Mega Charizard X.
"Whoa! is this mega evolution?" Lincoln asked."
"Feels like it," Firestorm replied."
"Doesn't matter if its mega evolution or not, it won't help you," Cross said." Fire blast!"
Incineroar fires its fire blast, but it didn't work much on Firestorm.
"What?!" Cross said."
"Use dragon tail!"' Lincoln said."
Firestorm uses dragon tail to send Incineroar into the air.
"Dragon claw!" Lincoln said."
Firestorm's claws glow green and flies towards Incineroar. Lincoln notices a shadowy figure appeared out of Firestorm.
"Darkest Lariat!" Cross yelled."
Incineroar's spins like a fiery tornado and heads towards Firestorm. the two clashed causing an explosion. Incineroar falls to the ground as Firestorm lands on the ground. Incineroar gets back up willing to keep going, until it passes out while standing. the referee checks.
"Incineroar is unable to battle, Charizard wins, thus the victor goes to Lincoln," the referee said."
The crowd cheers as Firestorm changes back to normal and Lincoln hugs him.
'What was that shadow figure coming from Firestorm?' Lincoln thought.'
Back at the loud house,
Everyone was cheering on Lincoln's win.
"Alright, Lincoln won!" Lori said."
"And put that jerk in his place," Lola said."
"I knew Firestorm had it in him," Lynn said."
"Hey, look!" Stella said pointing at the screen."
Back at the stadium,
Lincoln walks up to Cross as he was on his knees.
"I don't understand, how did you get stronger?" Cross said."
"I got strong because of my bond of my Pokémon and friends," Lincoln replied."
"Bond?" Cross asked."
"Yeah, and you're a strong trainer too, let's have another battle next time," Lincoln said reaching out his hand."
(Thinks about it then takes Lincoln's hand and stands up)" Yeah, and next time I'll follow your example," Cross said."
"Defiantly, but first don't forget about our deal," Lincoln said."
Back at the loud house,
Everyone was surprised by Lincoln.
"Wow, Lincoln changed that kid," Lynn sr. said."
"It's the same as Gary, he started out like an ego jerk, now he's a good person," Rita said."
"He really is the pure heart that'll change the Pokémon world," Rosa said."
"Makes me wonder why you all take advantage of him mostly your daughters," maria said."
The sisters look down sad knowing that Maria was right.
Back at the stadium in the audience,
"Little loud really is something," Bobby said."
"Yeah, makes wonder why his sisters treat him bad," Ronnie Anne said."
"Me too," Clyde said."
Togepi cheers happily.
That's chapter 76, next chapter, is going to be a Christmas special that takes place sometime after defeating Logan and their time in Jhoto through Galar with some spoilers for the future chapters and Lincoln's future Pokémon. what future Pokémon should he have.
