12 AM

Mike took a seat in the swivel chair in his office. After arriving at the restaurant he had been given an interview. Although the term 'Interview' might have been a bit generous, it was mostly just him signing some papers and Clay telling him to pick up the phone at midnight for a 'pre-recorded introduction'. As he sat there waiting for the phone to ring, he began to take in his surroundings. He was in a small room barely larger than a broom closet, in front of him was a black desk with several TV screens, a fan, a phone, and a speaker. The wall in front of him was covered with posters and crude children's drawings, and on the desk was what looked like a flat tablet attached to the wall via a cord. He picked it up and noticed a post-it note on the front of the device saying 'Press button on bottom right'. He did as the note instructed and his eyes raised in slight shock when a circular camera Aperture Logo with the label 'Aperture Security Software' appeared with a loading bar underneath. When the bar was filled, he was greeted with his security feed.

On the bottom right of the screen, he noticed a map of the restaurant with several labeled boxes that represented security cameras throughout the facility. Oddly, it appeared that he could only look at one screen at a time rather than the entire feed at once. He also noticed there was no way of switching the camera feed except, perhaps? On a hunch he tapped the box labeled 'CAM 1B'. As he suspected, the camera feed switched from the view of the animatronics on the show stage to a view of the main dining area.

"Apparently this screen responds to touch, that's convenient." he muttered to himself.

As he was switching between the different camera feeds, he heard the phone ring.

"Must be my introductory phone call." he said before answering the phone and pressing the speaker button.

"Hello! Hello!"

Sure enough, it was the voice of Clay.

"Uh… Hello and welcome to your new summer job, at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. So, I'm sure you've heard about the recent uhm... unfortunate revelation about what was going on in our establishment, but as the new owner and manager, I want to help this place move on and once again become a magical place for kids and grown-ups alike."

Mike snickered.

"Anyway, first up is some basic rules you're expected to follow while you're here. Uh… when your shift begins make sure to pick up the key from the front desk and lock all entrances and exits before going to your office. Prevent all unauthorized persons from entering the facility during your shift. If someone enters who seems threatening or is armed, please secure yourself in your office and call 911 immediately. Do not enter any areas that are locked or boarded off. When your shift is over, please go to the front door and wait for me to arrive."

He nodded to himself as he continued to look at the cameras, wincing at how creepy they made this 'magical place' look.

"Simple, right? Uh... Now on to some of the complications with your equipment due to the investigation. Uhm… See, although the police have managed to gather most of the evidence they need, they're still conducting investigations in the kitchen and an area near the bathroom known as 'the Safe Room'. So, at their request, we've sealed off both areas and have turned off the Kitchen camera, not that you'd need to see the kitchen anyways, there aren't any entrances or exits there. Now this might not seem like too much of a problem, but the building's main generator is in the Safe Room. So, our temporary solution is to hook everything up to a gas-powered generator in the loading bay near the Parts and Service room. Unfortunately, because of that, we've had to make it so you can only view one camera at the time as a majority of the power has to be routed to the lights and your doors."

1 AM

He looked up from the tablet. On the side of both doorways out of his office were two buttons labeled 'Door' and 'Light'.

"Oh yeah! The doors! Those things are magnetically sealed metal doors that were installed when this place was still a military warehouse. You can activate them by pressing the button labeled 'Door' on that panel to the side."

He slowly reached his hand over to one of the 'Door' buttons and pressed it, only to hear a loud slamming sound as the metal door came crashing to the floor.

"Gahahahahaha! What the fuck!" he exclaimed, reeling back.

"Yeah, I probably should have explained that before you had the chance to accidentally crush yourself to death, but I have confidence in you, I'll keep that in mind for when we reopen though." Clay's message continued.

"Thank you for having faith in me, but Jesus Christ man!" he replied to the message while pressing the 'Door' button again and watching it retract into the ceiling.

"Anyways, the 'Light' button on the side of the door is so you can see if anything is directly outside your door. There are blind spots in your camera view that happen to be right outside your office, so if you need to see anything out there, you can use that and look out one of those bulletproof glass windows you got there. Uh... Oh, and one last thing. You should only use the doors and the door lights if you're in the middle of an emergency, both of those things require power to function and if the generator runs out of juice, they'll automatically open as a 'safety measure' to prevent you from getting trapped in there. The power in that generator can sustain the lights and the cameras for around 12 hours, but the door controls alone could probably drop that down to maybe 2 or 3 hours. Ok then, I'll leave you to it then, remember to check the cameras and use the doors only if absolutely necessary, gotta conserve power. Alright, goodnight!" Clay said before the phone hung up.

2 AM

"Goodnight!" Mike said to the message.

He set down the tablet for the time being and started thinking of how he was going to investigate what was going on here. Clay had mentioned something about the kitchen and a so called 'Safe Room' being marked off limits by the police. If they were placing those rooms off limits that had to mean, there was something in there they wanted to look at. That could be his chance at finding something! But then there was the problem of how he would actually get in there.

Had the police locked or boarded up the doors to get into these locations? How would he be able to investigate the place and cover up his tracks before his shift ended? Finally, there was the issue of the security cameras. Clay had mentioned he could only look at one camera feed at a time. But did that mean only one camera was collecting footage at a time? Or were all of them passively collecting footage and he could only view one of them at a time?

He took a deep breath. It's ok, he had just under 6 hours to figure out a strategy to investigate these locations. His first step should be to find out what route he would need to take to get to these locations. He pulled up the camera and began to take note of the locations of each of the cameras, out of curiosity he looked at the time display on the upper right-hand corner of the tablet. He had plenty of time, it was only 2 A… 2 AM!?

"What in the shit!" he shouted.

How the hell was it already 2 AM!? Clay's message had only lasted a few minutes at most and there was no way he had been thinking about this shit for 2 hours! Right? Had time just started moving faster? In a state of panic, he picked up the tablet and began frantically clicking each of the camera feeds, desperately looking for a clock, a time display, anything that could disprove the idea that time was somehow moving faster. That sense of panic heightened when he clicked on 'CAM 1A' and noticed Bonnie the Bunny was missing from the show stage.

"One's missing!" he yelled, looking for the missing animatronic.

He randomly clicked on 'CAM 5' the Parts and Service room, where was greeted with the sight of the animatronic bunny, staring at the camera with cold dead eyes, like the ones he saw Fredbear have when he hallucinated him in the back of that armored car a few days earlier.

"Oh Christ! I have a sneaking suspicion this isn't meant to happen." he said to himself, trying to stay calm.

He sat down, pulled his vision away from the camera and tried to rationalize what was going on. He noticed he had a massive headache and the humming sound from when he saw Fredbear in the armored car was back. How did he not notice that before? Was he too focused on the time? He gripped his head and began taking deep breaths before thinking about his next course of action. Investigating this place was off the table, what he needed to do now was watch the cameras to make sure those robots didn't come after him.

3 AM

Trying to ignore the pain in his head, he pulled up the cameras again and noticed that Bonnie had moved from 'CAM 5' to 'CAM 1B', the dining area.

"Oh Christ, what are you doing?" he whimpered.

He looked up at the time and noticed it was now 3 AM. He also looked down at the power indicator at the bottom left of the screen and had another jolt of panic when he realized he only had 51% power remaining. Not only was time moving faster, but his power appeared to be draining faster too. Was he going to run out of power? Would these things be able to get him if he did? What would they do to him when they did? They hadn't done anything directly hostile yet, but something about the atmosphere of this place made him feel like something bad would happen to him if that robotic bunny were to get into his office. As these paranoid thoughts were running through his head, he noticed the camera blacked out and a muffled sound was heard before the feed reappeared, and Bonnie was gone.

"Oh! Fuck where did you go!" he shouted, quickly sliding over to the doors and pressing the light buttons so he could look down the hallways.

No sight of him.

Not trusting he was safe, he closed both doors and began searching the cameras for the missing animatronic bunny, finding him once again in the Parts and Service room.

"Oh god damnit!" he said before opening the doors to his office again.

Had he taken his medication before he got here? The pills he was taking for his schizophrenia were meant to last around 12 hours and he never thought about what would happen if he missed a dose. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes.

"Ok, this is all a hallucination, you'll wake up at some point, or someone will help you or arrest you or something! You'll get help, there are people who can help with this." he reassured himself before looking back down at the cameras.

He noticed Bonnie had once again moved. He switched his view back to 'CAM 1B', bingo. It was settled then, all he had to do was watch this thing walk back and forth for another few minutes, or 'hours', then he would be free from this horrid dream.

4 AM

Now that he had gotten used to this scenario it didn't seem as daunting as it was before. He considered closing the doors and riding out the rest of the night until he realized he only had 29% power left. His headache was still present, and he began to hear a haunting musical track ring throughout the halls.

"Fuck! What is that! What is that!"

He clicked the 'Show Stage' camera to check on the others.

Chica was missing.

"Oh shit! Where the fuck did you go!"

Things were getting even more concerning now. Fear gripped him and he closed both doors before frantically looking through the cameras to locate the two roaming robots. His heart dropped to the pit of his stomach when he saw Bonnie in the left hallway leading to his office. His suspicions were correct, they were coming for him. Chica meanwhile was in the bathroom. Realizing his right side wasn't being threatened, he opened the right door to try and preserve what little power he had left.

He was trapped, one of them was moving towards his door, and he had a feeling the other one would shortly follow suit.

5 AM

He sat there in pure fear and paranoia. These things were coming for him, they were coming for him, and he didn't know how long he had to hold them off for! He continued looking at Chica in the bathroom, looking for the moment she would leave and start making her way towards his office. Sure enough, a short while after the hour began, the camera went dark, he clicked over to the 'East Hall' camera, and there she was.

"Oh, you fucking big bird looking bitch!" he shouted, realizing they had him cornered.

He looked down to his power, 11%. Should he close the door? His shift was theoretically supposed to end in an hour, although in this instance that would probably mean less than a minute. He realized he had nothing to lose at this point, so he closed the door to his right.

For the next few agonizing minutes, he muttered to himself and watched as the animatronic rabbit and chicken closed in from either side. Watched as the power slowly drained from 10% to 5%, 4%, 3%, 2%, 1%.

0% Power

In a split second, the doors retracted into the ceiling and the lights flickered off with a loud whirring sound. He yelped and ran into the back corner of the room, blinded and heart pounding in his chest.

"Oh fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck." he softly whispered to himself as he waited for the two animatronic animals to walk into the room and do God knows what with him.

He heard light metal thumping from the hallway to his left. Slowly getting closer and closer, until stopping just outside of his door. He closed his eyes and waited for the inevitable.

He heard what sounded like a music box playing the Toreador March, a song his uncle played frequently when he was still alive. It was creepy, yet oddly calming. He opened his eyes, wondering if he would be able to see what was making that music.

He reeled back in horror when he was met with the illuminated bright yellow face of that damned Fredbear animatronic, back to haunt him yet again.

"Oh, fuck off you! Have you come here to haunt my arse again you mung!" he yelled at the thing.

It didn't respond to him, it just kept singing its song, mocking him. It knew it had him trapped, all it had to do was walk up to him and it could end his life however it saw fit.

Mike began to seethe, all the panic and fear he felt that night boiled over into anger. He wouldn't die, not to this fucking thing, the thing he ruined his life with. He might have made an irredeemable mistake that he should never be allowed to live down, but God damnit if he was going to let the manifestation of that mistake be his end! As the light on its face went out and he heard it walk forward, he held his out in a V formation and shouted.

"FUCK! YOU!"

As the last word left his mouth, he heard a loud boom and a jolt of energy through his body. As he fell to the floor trying to catch his breath, he heard a loud crashing sound and saw some sparks fly as something big fell to the floor outside of his office.

What the hell was that?

Was the thing that crashed Fredbear?

And if so, what had pushed it into the wall?

Then, a thought emerged.

Did he do that?

His train of thought was interrupted when the light to his office turned back on, only it was now red like an emergency light. He took the opportunity to look into the hallway. Sure enough, lying on the floor was the yellow form of Fredbear. But Fredbear wasn't the only thing he was able to see. Staring down at him above the desk was a marionette puppet. Its body thin and black with three white buttons running down its chest, its arms and legs covered in black and white stripes, its white face had two rosy cheeks and purple lines that looked almost like tear marks, and just like Fredbear, it had those cold dark eyes.

"Oh, what in the bloody hell do you want?" he asked the thing weakly.

The puppet floated down to him and placed its two lanky arms on his shoulders and looked him in the eyes. Soft, indecipherable whispers began to cloud his mind. He found himself getting tired. A part of him struggled to remain awake, but in the end his adrenaline crash and the influence of this thing proved too much for him. He slowly lay down and closed his eyes as sleep overcame him.
