Chapter 7 : The Perfect Woman
Sasuke had always seen Sakura as a kind woman. An angel in a human form. She always forgave. She almost never got mad. She never got angry if he didn't give her enough money. She worked really hard on her career. She even helped him in buying the house. She's always a passionate woman, in working and in loving. She never got angry when he almost killed her by stabbing his chakra to her heart. She forgave him. She never got angry when he left her for years in his redemption journey. She cried and she accepted his decision.
She waited for him patiently. She loved him passionately. He loved how her hair smelled like flowers. He also loved how soft her skin was whenever his skin touched hers. He loved how she always defended him. He was very impressed when she went against her parents who were strongly disagree in Sakura marrying him. He also couldn't believe that aside from being an excellent medic-nin and the head of the hospital, she was an excellent mother too. He was pleased on how Sarada turned out, a very skilled kunoichi and a good child.
Then she was, his wife. His perfect wife. His spring bloom. The wife he was very proud of, Sakura Uchiha.
Police Office. 10 PM.
It was another night at the police office. Sasuke and Sai were reviewing another police reports together. It took them few hours to finish reviewing the reports together.
The office was quiet that night. Most of the staffs had come home. There were only five people in the room. Sai, Sasuke and the three shinobi who worked under Sai, who were at the same age with Sarada, team 25.
Sai had done putting all the files in his desk and suddenly out of his politeness, he spoke things outside job to Sasuke. "Sasuke, can you please send my regards to Sakura, i really appreciate her taking Inojin as her apprentice," Sai smiled. "Sure," Sasuke only nodded. The man was always quiet, while Sai managed to grow out of his quiet and awkward phase. Sasuke stayed quiet. "How are things between you and Sakura anyway? I heard that she's hanging out a lot with a Koukan man at a hotel," Sai said with a smile that never left his face. Sasuke's flat stoic expression immediately changed. "What did you just say?" Sasuke's pitch became higher. Sai's smile became wider. Oops. Then, Sai realized that ... perhaps despite everyone knowing about it, Sasuke didn't know about Sakura's affair. "Well, perhaps they're just good friends who like to hang out at a hotel," Sai tried to explain, sneering his voice. "DID YOU JUST CALL MY WIFE A WHORE?" Sasuke's eyes immediately turned red, his sharingan was activated and a purple figure came out behind of him. He was screaming at the paler man.
BOOM!
Ino, who had already finished putting the papers in her bags heard an explosion. She was located few meters from Sai's office and she knew exactly that there was no one there but Sai, Sasuke, the team 25 kids and her in that building.
"Mrs. Yamanaka! i think you should come to Mr. Yamanaka's office," A young girl opened the door of the investigation room, she looked panic and she was out of breath, perhaps because she was running as fast as she could. The girl's hair was black and she had ribbon on her head, Ino remembered that the girl was Sai's apprentice. "What happened?" Ino asked the young girl. "Mr. Uchiha ... Mr. Uchiha is attacking Mr. Yamanaka ...," she was out of breath.
Ino immediately ran into Sai's office. He saw broken window, destroyed walls and her husband with wounds on his face and his outfit torn while Sasuke wasn't scratched at all. Sasuke's sharingan was still activated, and his susanno shielding him.
"Stop it! Whatever it is! Stop it!" Ino yelled at the two men. She ran to her husband who's sitting on the floor. "What happened?" Ino asked Sai, while observing the wounds Sasuke had inflicted on him. Despite being exhausted, Ino still tried to activate her chakra to at least heal Sai's wound on his face so it wouldn't leave scar there.
"Naruto had warned me on how rude Sai could be so ... Ino, you should educate your husband so he would learn when to shut his mouth! Consider this a warning!" Sasuke's sharingan was turned off. He was yelling at the blonde woman before he walked out of the office.
Training Ground. 11 AM.
It was a very awkward moment for both of them. Hak was training with this young kunoichi who was also the daughter of the woman he's having an affair with. Hak certainly knew how to carry it like nothing happened. But, the young woman attacked him rashly, strongly and full of emotion. She swung her sword to his and pushed the sword with all of her energy. Her eyes turned red even during that friendly sparring session between Konoha's ninja and Kouka's general.
After their sparring ended, Sarada stopped general Hak. "General Son, can i talk to you in private?" She said, her voice was trembling and Hak could see anger mixed with sadness in her eyes.
Oh. The time has come.
"Of course," Hak smiled, as if there's nothing happening between him and this teenager's mommy.
Sarada and Hak were at the river near their practice place in the middle of the forest. They were facing each other. The girl folded her arm and spoke first. "I saw you last night embracing my mama at the cinema," Sarada said, her voice was loud and clear. "She's a married woman, i want you to break up with mama," Sarada added, she was glaring at the older man. Hak chuckled. "Young girl, there is so much in this world that you haven't understood yet," Hak said to him, his beautiful clear blue eyes staring at the young girl, leaving the teen girl alone. It was an ambiguous answer.
But, she knew what those words meant. She knew that perhaps it wasn't a fling, perhaps her mother would leave her and her father for that man.
She knew that it was impossible to break them up through Hak. The image of her mother being an understanding wife was completely shattered. The image of her parents divorcing stressed her. She didn't want for Sakura and Sasuke to divorce. She didn't want to have a new mother or a new father. She didn't want to be the discussion topic of her friends and relatives. Fuck! She didn't want that smug General of Wind Tribe to steal her mother!
Room 6065. 10 PM.
Sakura and Hak had already finished fornicating. They were cuddling on the bed together. Hak chose not to tell Sakura that Sarada confronted him, though it had been bugging his mind ever since. With that much hatred showing from the young girl's eyes, he knew that if he ended up marrying Sakura, Sarada would certainly be extremely pissed and he knew that Sakura loved her child.
Hak's hand was rubbing Sakura's soft pink hair and she was leaning on his chest. "Is there anything in your mind?" Sakura asked the Koukan man. "What's bugging you from leaving Konoha?" Hak asked the pink haired woman. "I'm just not ready to move to a new place, Kouka's great but my life's here, i've been a Konohan since i was a child," Sakura answered. "Do you have other reason?" Hak asked. Sarada's and Sasuke's faces came into her mind. They were her family, despite her not finding happiness anymore in her husband, Sarada was still her precious daughter, if she left her in Konoha alone, Sarada would hate her. "No," Sakura said, afraid that telling the truth would hurt her lover.
"I hope that we can stay like this forever," Sakura gazed at her lover with her emerald colored eyes, hugging him even tighter.
Few days later. Training ground. 5 PM.
The sun was already red. Sasuke was training his only daughter around the river and she did it poorly that day. Kunai who didn't fall into the target, jutsu that was half done and all of those scratches she had because she was not dodging Sasuke's attack well.
The last attack from Sasuke even burned the young girl's arm. "Ouch!" She immediately put her arm in the water.
"Sarada, what's wrong with you today?" Sasuke asked his daughter. His voice went slightly higher, he was irritated at his daughter.
Sarada didn't reply him, instead after she drowned her arm in the water, she leaned on the tree and fell sitting down on the grass. She took off her glasses and panting. Sasuke was still standing in front of her, waiting for her answer. Sarada gazed at his father's eye, she giggled but it was a cynical one.
"Papa, do you know that Mama is cheating on you with General Son?" Sarada scoffed. Sasuke's pupils dilated, he thought his daughter was just trying to pull a trick, in order to win in the battle. "Sarada, don't you try to joke with me," Sasuke answered. "I'm serious!" She sighed. "Sarada!" Sasuke yelled at his daughter. "Don't you ever ask her why she had night shifts or even went home very late so often?" Sarada asked. Sasuke never really paid attention to Sakura's schedule. He trusted his wife, since the start of their marriage, they both knew that work always came first. "The only thing Sakura is marrying beside me is her job, it's not weird if she often came home late or had night shifts," Sasuke still didn't believe what his daughter said. "Mama is a senior, night shift usually happened only one day per week for a senior medic nin ... but, she had two or three night shifts per week ... don't you think it's weird?" Sarada scoffed once more. "Probably she still had issue to take care of at the hospital," Sasuke said. "Don't you ever realize how different she smells these days? She never wore perfume back then," Sarada sighed. "Maybe she found a perfume that really suited her," Sasuke said. "Do you realize that you're the last person who knew that they're having an affair?" Sarada scoffed. "Sarada, you shouldn't accuse your mom of such degrading action," Sasuke yelled at his daughter. He was still in disbelief. "Papa, you're really hopeless," Sarada stood up slowly, her body was drenched in sweat. "Papa, if you pay more attention, you'd probably realize it sooner," she sighed as she walked out of the area.
Sasuke couldn't help but to wonder about Sarada's statement. He then remembered those words Sakura said when they were in the hot spring hotel. She was always so obedient, submissive, she never got angry. But, what caused her to become such a sensitive woman? He was also reminded by the words Sai Yamanaka had said to him.
Maybe because she had someone influencing her. Well, her parents surely disliked Sasuke and Sasuke knew it. But, Sakura stayed loyal and stayed kind to him, which meant that they, even though they're her parents, would never be able to shake her belief of something. Doesn't that mean "that someone" could be because she had found another man that she could love? Thinking about it already fueled anger in Sasuke's chest. He exhaled, the man walked closer to his daughter and grabbed her arm. He looked at her in her eyes and said "Tell me all about it."
"I saw them going out of the cinema together, watching midnight show of some horror movie, they were laughing together and General Son's arm was on mama's shoulder and then he kissed her cheek ... i immediately followed them ... they both went inside General Son's hotel ... they went inside his hotel room ... together," Sarada explained, she certainly looked sad and slowly tears formed at the corner of her eyes. Sasuke felt hurt and anger rounding his chest. The idea of his wife experiencing orgasm while being fucked by another man devastated him. But, he didn't say anything to Sarada. He didn't believe her.
"What are you going to do?" She asked him. "We'll see," Sasuke said with a plan in mind. He was still in disbelief. He wanted to confirm it by himself. No way Sakura would cheat on him. No fucking way. He told himself.
Uchiha Residence. 10 PM.
Sasuke couldn't take his eyes off of Sakura, whether then they were on the living room with Sarada or when they're in their bedroom. He kept on observing on her behavior. Nothing was suspicious for him. She was her usual Sakura Uchiha, except for one thing, the humongous diamond on her ring finger.
"I've never seen that ring before," Sasuke said during their dinner together, there were Sarada too. "Oh, i bought it myself," Sakura said with a smile, with a subtle tweak on the corner of her lips. An expression of someone who's hiding something.
Sarada was also observing her mother and her expression. Both of the black haired Uchiha couldn't stop observing at Sakura.
Sakura didn't change, she acted the way she usually was. But, both of them knew there was something fishy about that ring. Sakura didn't like to wear ring, she even kept the ruby ring Sasuke gave him in their safe.
That night, Sarada gave Sasuke Sakura's schedule, her supposed schedule and Sasuke was about to put a tracking ball in her working bag, with his heart beating so fast. He couldn't believe that there came a time when he would have to stalk his own wife, that perhaps his wife could and would cheat on him.
He kept on hoping that it wasn't true, the rumor wasn't true, that Sarada didn't see anything, she was just hallucinating or something or perhaps the one she saw was just someone who looked like his wife.
Sakura was bathing and then he was, the head of Uchiha household, holding a tracking ball in the color of black that was connected to his chakra, ready to put it inside Sakura's bag. The color and the size would fit perfectly in Sakura's bag, Sakura wouldn't realize what it was. It looked exactly like one of Sakura's earrings.
It was cold but he could feel that he was sweating, and right before his wife came out of the bathroom, he dropped the ball inside her bag.
Author's Note :
So, this is it, it's getting even nearer to the moment of truth. Well, despite everything that Sasuke had done to Sakura, he has feelings for her.
