Chapter – 10
Close – SAO Integral Fragments
It took some time exploring the hollow area, I had to wait a couple of days so that I could actually write something, Kirito, Philia, Koharu, Asuna and I have been the main team to enter the hollow area, with more areas being cleared, the trails have gotten hotter, I could actually feel we were getting closer to my fluctlight, my only question was "what was it possessing?" my fluctlight caused a great impact in SAO and I have no idea as to what could happen if it were lost in a massive maze. For now, we have been focusing on advancing through the area, eventually more of our friends decided to explore the areas with us, needless to say, we still haven't encountered PoH after last time.
We also cleared the 77th floor and made it to the 78th floor, as more steps we climb the more interesting our journey becomes. I am not exactly sure on what the point of the journey really is, at first it was about reaching the 100th floor of Aincrad but now it has turned into the mystery of my lifetime, so many secrets I didn't know about is finally coming out into the light. You know, I thought the nightmare of living with my devilish family was finally over but I get the feeling that is somehow still haunting me, its like… they never did die… in all honesty, I really do wish they didn't die, I know it may sound weird but in spite of everything they are still my family and if its something that they deserve, death is not one of them. For now, we have advanced to the inner parts of the hollow area and there has also been a changing of the team. Kirito brought Leafa and I brought Strea, together along with Philia, we decided to explore the remaining parts of map of the hollow area.
Armored Kobold: Grr…
Strea: Hmm…
Strea stared down at the black slash red armored kobold with determination, she was also wielding a two-handed long sword, massive enough to even by pass a human body.
Strea: Fall under my might! HREAAAA!
With a massive swirl, Strea twirls her sword as the kobold smashes into a wall by its massive impact and with that, it's two bars of HP fall down within seconds.
Strea: Whew…
Leafa: I may not be the only who has noticed but despite her looks and appearance, she seems to be pretty skilled.
You: I was as shock as you were when I took her out on out first quest hunt on the hollow area. But if she is this skilled… how come we never have seen her? It just raises the question I had since the first day I met her, who is she?
Kirito: Hasn't she said anything to you?
You: She always dodges the question and when I do ask her, she always looks for an excuse to not answer. Its like she knows it but doesn't feel comfortable telling me.
Philia: Just to be sure, are you entirely sure that she means no harm to you?
You: So far she hasn't done anything harmful or threat full… I am pretty sure we can trust her.
Strea: hey, what are you guys talking about?
You: N-Nothing, nevermind. Does anyone know where we are?
Kirito: According to the map, we should be approaching the final boss of the beach area.
Philia: After three days of searching. Are you sure we are getting near to this thing you are searching for?
You: Positive, I can feel it drawing near.
Leafa: So like, what is it that we are doing here?
You: Each area contains a boss that we must defeat in order to enter the next area. Kirito has the power to activate and locate teleport stones and unexplored paths and I have the power to unseal those paths.
Kirito: right now, we are searching for that area boss.
Leafa: Do you think it will be in here?
Philia: I always scout all the areas I've previously been. No doubt about it, this must be the place.
Strea: Hey guys, I found an entrance over here!
You: Come on!
We all then enter the entrance Strea found and as we do, we enter an area that seem to represent the great hall of an abandoned mansion. From there, we take a look as the boss at the end of the hall.
You: Wait a sec…
Kirito: th-that's…!
?: Grr…
The boss, who was sitting on the throne at the end of the hall, leaps out of its thrown as it grabs its one-handed axe, shield and summons six of its minions.
You: Detonator the Kobold lord
The boss was literally representing the very first floor boss we have ever defeated.
You: Okay, that sounds familiar.
Kirito: It even seems familiar.
You: Kirito, you and I have the most knowledge of what it can do, you and I will be in the front. Girl, we need you to keep its minions off of us.
Leafa: Okay, but be careful. Come on!
You: Come on Kirito!
Kirito: *he prepares his dual wields* On it!
With that, Kirito and I leap towards Detonator as we both leap at sonic speeds and blast our way through the minions. The ruined kobold sentinels are all smashed to the ground as our speed threw them off balance and we are both standing in front of the boss.
You: We gave you girls an opening, the rest is up to you!
With the boss swinging its axe in the same style Illfang, Kirito and I both manage to parry all of its attacks as we cornered the boss while also draining its remaining points of HP.
Detonator: GROOOUUU!
As the boss swings its axe down, I parry the attack, landing an opening for Kirito.
You: Switch out!
Kirito: GREEAAAA!
With Kirito switching out, he uses his two sets of blades to land a 12 hit combo that drains the boss's HP very quickly.
Kirito: Switch!
You: transform, rapier shape! GEAAAAAA!
With me switching out and my sword turned into a rapier, I land a 24 hot combo with lightening strikes that were barely visible and draining the boss's HP more quickly.
Detonator: GRAAAAAAAOOOUUUUUU!
The boss began to step back as it could not handle our speed in attacks, as it did, we used it to our advantage. Eventually it made it the red zone, and I am pretty sure you all know what happens when it reaches the red zone.
Detonator: Grr… *it throws aways its axe and shield*
You: All right Kirito, you and I both know whats coming, we must be prepared! Transform, sword shape!
Kirito: Right, I have a plan! You go back, I go front! Got it!
You: got it!
As my sword turns back into a sword, the boss unsheathes the same type of weapon Illfang was wielding back when it reached it own red part of HP bar as well.
Detonator: GRAAAAAAAWWRR!
With the boss using the pillars to leap up high in the air, the boss begins to prepare a massive area attack, the same the first boss did as it tried to attack Diabel.
Kirito: Not this time!
As the boss attacked, a huge gust of wind blows through the room, as not only the minions are taken out, but us as well.
Everyone: WHOOAAAAA!
You: Ghigh...!
I tried to hold my balance as I had my sword supporting me, and as the wind calmed down, I could see that Kirito was using his two swords as defense he and the boss both struggled to knock the other down.
Kirito: Igh… giiiighhhAAAAAAAAAAAAH! "CAAACHING!"
Kirito throws back the boss with his two sword and the boss gets back on its two feet as he prepares to land another attack. The attack appeared to be a sonic leap.
You: Watch out! "CACHIING!"
Using my speed, I dash towards the boss and deflect its attack just in the neck of time. As the attack gets deflected, the boss loses its sword and lies down defenseless.
You: Kirito, now! As we planned, I go back and you go front!
Kirito: right!
I then run with all my might and begin powering my sword up with a sonic leap attack. Kirito does the same as he powers up the Elucidator sword.
Kirito: Ready?!
You: Ready!
Kirito and I both run in the front direction as we both close in on the boss, as we do, our swords begin to shine brighter and brighter as we approach in on the boss.
You and Kirito: EEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! *we both cross slash the boss*
Detonator: GRAAAAAAAUUUUU— "Kaa-boooooom!"
The boss then explodes with a massive blue light glow and then a screen notification appears saying "Hollow mission complete!".
You: "Pant…" "Pant…"
Kirito: we did it…
Strea: THAT WAS AMAZING!
Leafa: Yeah! You guys managed to defeat a boss all by yourselves! You two really make a good team!
You: Heh… it was all a matter of working together, we wouldn't have landed precise hits if it weren't for you girls holding the minions back.
Kirito: Yeah, we all did our parts in this fight. But that boss was really strange.
You: Right? That was the same boss we fought back in the very first floor.
Leafa: Wait that was the first floor boss?
You: its name was different and it also had armor pallets but other than that, it had the same figure and attack patterns as the first floor boss.
Philia: so that's how it looked like.
"Jingle"
You: Hmm? The necklace!
Leafa: It's glowing.
Kirito: that means we have unlocked the next area. Come on, let's go see the gate.
With that, we all use a teleport crystal to teleport us back to the administration area and begin preparing for our next journey. Kirito inputted the directions on the console and to teleport us to the next area. As the seal got broken, we entered the next area and were welcomed by a big deep trench.
Philia: whoa… that's pretty far down.
Leafa: yeah, I'll bet you all anything that there will be even stronger monsters down there.
Strea: Well, we already explored an entire area and defeated its boss. I say we call it a day and get some rest.
You: I agree, were gonna need it if we are to ever explore down there without getting killed. "Th-thump" Uh!
Strea: what's wrong Darling?
You: I… can feel my fluctlight getting closer. We are almost there.
Leafa: Guess that means that we are on the right path.
Philia: I am curious, what do we do when we find this flutclight you keep mentioning?
You: I think this cube I have might have something to do with it. I don't know, we'll just haft to wait and see. Come on, let's go back.
With that, we all teleport back to the administration area and begin teleporting back to Arc Sophia.
You: All right, guess we'll see each other again soon Philia.
Kirito: Be careful.
Philia: W-Wait!
You and Kirito: Huh?
Philia: U-Um… I was just wondering… would you guys help me scout out that area we just unlocked…? Just us?
Kirito: Hmm? Um… sure, why not?
You: yeah, we'll let you know when we return.
Philia then shows us a smile of relief and then waves at us goodbye.
Philia: Great, thanks. See you guys later.
Aincrad, 76th floor: Arc Sophia
Leafa: Phew…
Strea: After an adventure like that, I would understand if we were all tired.
You: Mm…
Kirito: WHats wrong?
You: Its just… I don't feel comfortable leaving Philia back there… the monsters are dangerously powerful, its easy to get lost there and PoH is wondering in there.
Leafa: Don't worry, she'll be fine. She managed to survive this long, I doubt PoH has any idea were in there, he would have attacked by now.
You: its more complicated then that Leafa…
Leafa: what do you mean?
Kirito: PoH was always the expert in tricks and games, he always managed to find a way to get into loop holes or unescapable traps. He always managed to find a way to get step further then us, he just smart like that.
You: I hardly doubt he has no idea that were in there, IF he know that we are in there and hasn't made a move yet, then that means that he is waiting for something even bigger to happen… one that could leave a scar in our lives.
Leafa: Oh…
You: for now, all we can do is rest up. Philia wants a personal favor form me and Kirito.
Kirito: Yeah, it's best if you all head back and rest.
Leafa: You're not coming?
Kirito: I need to run some errands, don't worry I won't be leaving the safe zone. It'll just be quick, you guys go on ahead.
You: You got your work really cut out for you.
Kirito: what can I say? It's just the way it is.
With that, we all began to depart, Leafa headed back to her dorms but Strea and I headed to Agil's shop to get some drinks before saying goodbye.
Agil's Shop
Agil: Hey there, you guys sure did come in late.
You: sorry about that, we got too ahead on searching the hollow area that we lost track of time.
Agil: Normally I would tell customers that were closed but since it's you two, I'll make an exception. What can I get you?
You: I'll just have something with bubbly water on it…
Strea: I would like some tea.
Agil: Got it, please wait here.
With that, Agil heads into the kitchen, leaving Strea and me alone.
Strea: Hmm~ Hmm-Hmm~
You: (Is she… humming?)
Strea: Hmm~ Hmm-hm-hm-Hmm~
You: (The song… it sounds like a lullaby…) U-Uh…
Strea: Hmm? Is something wrong?
You: Wh-what? N-No nothing, it's just… I was admiring your humming. It's beautiful.
Strea: Aww, really?
You: Yeah… you remind me of my mom back in the real world. When I was little, I would always have horrible nightmares of my biological family… but she would always hold me tight and hum me lullabies to sleep… I always loved being in her arms… it always kept me calm.
Strea: This "Biological family" you speak of, is the family you have not your real family?
You: O-Oh, right, you're new to our team. Well, I guess since everyone knows, its only right that you know as well. See…
I then begin explain her the whole story about my childhood, needless to say, she was shocked to hear it.
Strea: I find it hard to believe that you actually killed your family.
You: Yeah? Well believe it… I am a murderer… and a runaway criminal.
Strea: Mm…
You: What? You suddenly feel uncomfortable being near me? Heh… that's fine… you don't haft to be near me if you don't want to. If you'd like, I won't come near you any—
Strea: No…
You: Huh?
Strea: I said no!
You: Uh?
Strea: I find it hard to believe that my beloved (You) is a monster. Even if you did kill your family, I can see that you are no monster. Your family is the true monster for doing all those horrible things to you…
As she spoke, I could see the tears forming in her eyes as she grabbed me by the hands looked at me straight in the face.
Strea: I swear, I won't leave your side… from now on, I will always stick by it…
As she said that, it made me wonder of why she would think that, it's almost like as if we were an odd couple. Though I had the feeling that she meant to say it as in a caring way, there was just something about her that made me feel all too familiar with. Like speaking to a distant relative or a close cousin, hearing her say that made me even feel refreshed, like it reminded me of why I decided to keep fighting.
You: *I smile* I see… *I hold her hands back* then I hope we can keep working together.
Strea beamed at me with happy teary eyes and then held me close to her chest as her big strong arms locked my head with it.
You: (Oh well… I can't fight her anyways…)
Without having the strength to fight back, I let her hold my head as she pets it and allows me to lay my head on her chest. It was like having Koharu comforting me. In all honesty, I did feel like I needed it, some time off of what was stressing me did seem like what I needed, it was like she knew exactly how to treat my mental health.
You: hey, uh…
Strea: yes, what is it?
You: Um… thanks for understanding and… making me feel better.
Strea: If you ever need to relax a bit, come see me… I'll always be here…
You: Um… thanks…
After a while, I actually began to feel tired, before I knew it… I fell asleep in her arms.
You: Zzz… Zzz…
Agil: *he comes in* Alright, got your drinks.
Strea: Shh. He's sleeping.
Agil: Oh? Just when I searched high and low for something bubbly that did not contain alcohol.
Strea: Um… I am pretty sure that alcohol is not a designed beverage in SAO.
Agil: N-No, I mean something that does not taste like alcohol.
Strea: Oh, I do suppose that there are a few drink that gives out the taste of alcohol.
Agil: Man, he still owes me for this.
Strea: Shh, try to keep it down.
Agil: So what? Your just gonna let him sleep like that for the whole night?
Strea: Not my intention, if he does stay like this, he might not wake up peacefully in the morning, he should have a nice warm bed. I will carry him back to his house. Koharu must be worried about him.
Agil: Uh… and your carrying him like that…?
Strea: Yes. Whats wrong with it?
Agil: Well, uh… usually one carrys a person like that when… they are married.
Strea: *she giggles* that wouldn't be so bad. Thanks for the drink but, we will be taking our leave. Good night. *she leaves*
Agil: she sure is an odd one…
Strea told me what happened after I fell asleep and she carried me all the way back to my house. Strea greeted Koharu and Koharu took me to bed, in where I woke up the following morning.
The next morning
As I began to open my eyes, a ray of light was blinding and as I took a look at my surroundings, I saw that I was back in the house.
You: What? How did I…?
Before I can finish talking, Koharu walks in holding a tray.
Koharu: Oh, your awake. Good timing, I made you breakfast.
You: Oh hey, thanks for that.
Koharu then lays the tray on my bed and in the plate was a cooked hamburger steak along with a small salad and rice.
You: You always like to get creative with your cooking, huh?
Koharu: You know how I am. *she says with a smile*
You: what happened last night?
Koharu: You feel asleep after you and Strea were talking, she carried you all the way here.
You: is that so? Guess I'll haft to thank her for that later.
Koharu: What were you guys talking about?
You: Oh… it was about… well, you know… about what happened when I was a kid.
Koharu: Oh… how did she took it?
You: She refused to believe that I would do something like that, after a while she began accepting and decided to keep supporting me.
Koharu: Oh, that's good to hear.
You: Hey, this may seem odd, but… what are you planning to do once we clear the game and go back to the real world?
Koharu: Huh? … well… I haven't given it much thought… but, I think that once we return, the first thing I wanna do when I wake up, is to see the faces of my family. My mother must be worried sick about me.
You: You don't really talk much about your parents, what are they like?
Koharu: Oh, my mom, you'd like her. She is a kind caring woman who does everything cheerfully. Ever since I was little, she would always greet people with a smile and would always help those in need. She also has the same eye color as me.
You: I'd bet, you have the eyes of a cat.
Koharu: Since it is a cat, I will take that as a compliment. As I said, my mom is a caretaker at a shrine and my father was what you would consider a shinshoku and despite his looks and appearance, he was a strong caring noble who would always look out for others and would always help them with their prayers.
You: You speak to your father as in past tense… why is that?
Koharu: Mm…
Koharu looked down, almost like as if she is hurt.
Koharu: I… my dad… he lost his life due to an unknown sickness and… passed away when I was six…
You: Oh… I am sorry…
Koharu: N-No, don't be. Its fine, I already grew past that.
You: that doesn't mean that you should forget about him.
Koharu: I don't, believe me I don't. I still remember this few words he told me before he died… "Always fight for what is right my dear… no matter how people may look at you, always do the right thing. It may come to a cost, but it will soon be better…" those were his last words before he… "Sniff"
You: Koharu…
Feeling a charge of understanding, I hold Koharu by the head and place her on my chest, where I begin to stroke her hair and let her cry on my chest.
You: Hey… I know how you feel… there is no need to hold yourself back, he was your father… it's only natural to cry…
Koharu: You know… wh-when I was little… m-my mom… she held me just the way you are doing right now… "Hic" e-even if I wanted to repay… I couldn't… "Sob" "Sob"
Having no more power to hold back, she begins sobbing even harder on my chest and as she does, I begin laying down with her and I begin holding Koharu with both my arms as she lays on top of my chest and begins letting all of her tears out.
Later
Koharu: "Sniff" thanks… I feel better now…
You: Good, if you'd like, we can leave this topic for some other time.
Koharu: N-no, no it's fine. I just felt emotional, I'm fine. Anyways, my mom had to take care of me as a single mother. Despite the pain she was feeling, she did everything she can to make sure I could have a good future. She worked more hours, she began selling some of her old stuff, she did everything to make sure we were okay…
You: She sounds like a hard working mother.
Koharu: She is... that's why I always strive to be the best in everything I do, because I want to be like the strong and dependent woman that is my mother and I hope to be like her one day. And I will also keep the word of my father sealed deep within my heart for as long as I live.
You: Hmm… you know, everyone always assumes that I am the strongest one when were together… but in all honesty, I think you're the strongest here.
Koharu: *she giggles* all I need to do, is get stronger physically so that one day, I can take you on a duel.
You: Hmm… so you wish to duel me one day?
Koharu: Yes.
You: Then I will be waiting patiently, for when you are ready, I will take you on. Just a warning though, I wont hold back just because you are my partner.
Koharu: I would expect nothing less.
Koharu and I smiled at each other as we exchanged a kiss and looked into each other's eyes.
Koharu: hey… (You)…
You: Yeah?
Koharu: this might sound a bit weird but… you and I have been dating for a while and… I can't help but notice how Kirito and Asuna are living happily together as a married couple…
You: Hmm… so you're saying that you want to get married too?
Koharu: W-Well, yes but… I want our wedding to be memorable, something that all of our friends can enjoy… and then, when we go back to the real world… I would also not mind going on real dates with you… and then in the future, to actually get married, build a life together, start a family… everything…
You: Hmm… I mean, the wedding event we toke back in the 61st floor was memorable, wasn't it?
Koharu: Y-Yes it was, I just mean a wedding where all our friends can be invited and have a small party or something.
You: Hmm… I understand. I will do what I can.
Koharu: Thank you…
"Beep"
You: Hmm? A message…
Koharu: what's it say?
You: Its Kirito, he says that he and Philia are waiting in the administration area.
Koharu: You're planning on meeting with them?
You: Well, Philia asked us for a personal request from her, not sure why she would ask us specifically.
Koharu: I understand. Just promise me you will be safe.
You: Don't worry, I will.
Koharu: Also, when you get back… promise me you will take some time off for me.
You: Deal.
Koharu: thank you. Go, they're already waiting.
You: Sure.
Later
After finishing my breakfast, I head to the teleportation gate and transport myself to the administration area where I saw Kirito and Philia waiting for me near the console.
You: Hey guys, sorry I'm late. Koharu and I were discussing a few things.
Kirito: What? You two are ready to get married?
You; Wha?! F-first of all, that is none of your business and second, she and I have been planning on getting married way before you and Asuna did!
Kirito: and yet you still aren't.
Kirito just smirked at me like as if he just won a duel.
You: (Damn you…) are we just gonna sir around here talking about my future plans or are we going to get down to business?!
Philia: *she tries to hold her laughter* Snrk… o-of course. Ahem, after you guys left, I decided to do a little bit of exploring myself. I soon later learn that the area we are going to be exploring is called Driogeer and that there is also a hidden door in a dungeon called the Shrine of the Pursuer.
You: think you can guide us back there?
Philia: Yes.
Kirito: then let's head out.
A few hours later
I don't exactly know how much time we've spent exploring the dungeon but I do know that it has been hours. The dark gloomy cave that had no light other than the orange torches around it.
Trance spider: GHIIRGGHII!
You: Hmph! *I parry the attack* Switch Philia!
Philia: On it!
Philia then disappears into black stripes and then slashes the mob with a Z shape dagger attack that ultimately lands a critical attack on the mob.
Philia: Kirito, finish it!
Kirito: Got it! HEAAAAA!
Kirito leaps high into the air as he delivers the final blow to the mob with a smash attack from the Elucidator sword.
Trance spider: GHIIIIRRRRRRhhhhh! *it disappears into blue trickling polygons*
You: And with that, the area is safe to explore.
Philia: Thank you so much for your guys help, there's no way I would have dealt with all these mobs by myself.
You: think nothing of it.
Kirito: why don't we take a small break?
Philia: Okay, I am sorry to be such a pain for you guys.
You: hey, there is no need to apologize, we don't think you're a burden at all.
Philia: But I am the one who invited you guys over here only after a long hard day of exploring, surely you guys must still be exhausted.
You: what's all this coming from?
Kirito: yeah, are you worried about something?
Philia: U-Uh no, there is nothing wrong.
Kirito: Well, if there is anything you need, just let us know.
You: Yeah, and if there is something bothering you, just let us know, we'll be sure to kick its ass.
Philia: how can you two be so kind…?
You: Its not about being kind but doing the right thing.
Philia: But what if doing the right thing only gets you guys betrayed in the end…?
Kirito: nobody said that doing a good thing will always lead to a good thing, but it's always important to keep right state of mind.
Philia: Well… you see… I'm—
?: "Groan…"
You: Hmm? Did you guys hear something?
Kirito: it sounds that it came from over there.
You: hold that thought Philia, we have to go see what that is.
Philia: W-Wait, are you guys really going to follow that sound?
You: yeah, what if someone's in danger? We can't just sit around and not do something.
Philia: b-but what if it's the orange guild you both are running from?
Kirito: We never said that we are running from it and besides even if it the orange guild, we'll be sure to take it down, no matter the cost.
Philia: W-wait but— Mmm…
We started to follow the groaning noises coming from the other side of the hallway we were standing in, but when we got to the other area, no one was there.
You: Hmm…. No one's here.
Kirito: I don't personally like it, I think we should be on guard from now on.
You: I agree.
Philia: Mm…
You: Well, there is nothing here other than a treasure chest.
Philia: it's locked, don't worry I'm an expert on this. I'll open it and you two guard the entrance.
Kirito: Sure thing, we'll stay in guard duty.
Philia then starts walking towards the treasure chest with two tools that seem to work like lock picks.
Philia: Hey, (You…) Kirito…
Kirito: what's up?
Philia: you two never did ask me why I killed someone… why I've got this orange cursor… and I was wondering why that was…
Kirito: Well, from my point of view, everyone has their own reasons for what they do. A person's cursor color does not necessarily describe a person's personality. Plus everyone's got things they don't want to talk about… and anyways we've fought a lot of battles together, I trust you Philia.
Philia: Kirito… thank you… so much… what about you, (You)?
You: Well, I can understand why someone would want to keep something so personal and hurtful to itself, I'm not as innocent as I might seem, after all, I killed someone too. Even if you're an orange cursor, that doesn't necessarily mean you're bad, I mean my cursor technically wouldn't be green after what I did, it would be orange if anything. So I understand what you're going through. My friends gave me a chance on despite on what I've done, so I want to give you a chance as well.
Philia: I see… I guess in some ways, you and I are the same…
You: I see… I guess in some ways, we are.
Philia: though, in all honesty, I am not worthy of such kind words…
Kirito: what are you talking about? You've helped us so many times when we were in here.
Philia: that's not what I mean…! I killed someone, what's worse… is that I actually killed myself!
You: Hmm? What do you mean?
Philia: well… remember when we met, I told you guys that I had ended up in this world without knowing how I got here? Well, there is something else I haven't told you guys. Shortly after I got here, I was wondering around the forest when suddenly someone appeared right in front of me. It was… me…
Kirito: and you fought her?
You: I have heard of quests that contain a special event that—
Philia: No! That's not what this was! I wasn't getting myself mixed up with some NPC player! It was me. Definitely me!
You: what?

Philia was looking at herself like as if she has committed a serious murder, in all honesty I couldn't make heads or tails to what she was saying, I mean killing yourself through a second point of view? It's kind of weird, but that didn't meant I didn't believe her.
Kirito: but that doesn't make sense Philia, there is no way there can be two of you.
Philia: what I did was so horrible… even if I can change my cursor back to green, it still wouldn't change with the way I feel, the guilt of carrying such a burden is just… just…
You: Hey!
Philia: Huh?
You: Philia… I know how you feel… you told me who you killed, now it's my turn to tell you. You wish to know who I killed. Well… I killed my own family.
Philia: *she drops the tools* what…?
You: its true… I killed my own family… but I didn't killed them because of a profit or to gain something, I did it because they were bad people… people who were committing a massive crime and no one would take my word for it, what's worse is that they actually used me for scientific experiment that I still have no idea what it was for. Actually, this thing we are looking for, my fluctlight, is the thing they ejected me before I killed them. It contains the info on the experiments they were producing, if anyone gets their hands on it, who knows what could happen. That's why I am searching for it, that's why so many weird phenomena has happened throughout SAO.
Philia: So… that's why you are searching for this thing?
You: Yes… and it is also the reason of why I understand where you're coming from. I understand more then anyone of how it must feel to carry a burden you cannot erase. Even though my family were bad people, it didn't mean that they deserved death, I understand that now… but that doesn't mean that I must give up on hope. Look at me now, I moved out of my house, I left my country, I found a family and I found friends who understand me and are willing to give their lives for me.
Kirito: (You…)
You: So I understand what your goinf through Philia but that doesn't mean you should just give up. As long as I am— no, as long as we are here, we will make sure that your cursor goes back to green and we will make sure you get your life back on track. I promise I can help you, if you'd just let me.
Philia: Igh… "Sniff" (You…) Kirito… thank you for everything… and forgive me for this… just hang in there.

You and Kirito: Huh?!
As Kirito and I both turn around, I remember seeing all four of them staring down at us with smirks and laughter.
You: Laughing coffin!
PoH: "Cough" "Cough" bye… bye…
Before I know what's going on, I see PoH and Philia high up in the air as the gap of a never ending trap is set from underneath we were standing.
You and Kirito: WHHOOOAAAAAAAAA!
Philia: I'm sorry… (You)… Kirito…
Later: Unknown area
You: Augh…
Kirito: Are you alright…?
You: I think so… its too dark in here…
Kirito: that voice… I know I wasn't imagine it.
You: with those hoods and smirks, I don't think so either… its them, laughing coffin.
Kirito: and Philia seemed to have triggered the trap, do you think she set this trap for us?
You: I don't know, but if she did, we'll have a word with her. It's PoH who I am focusing more at the moment.
Kirito: Yeah. We need to get back up.
You: Yeah… my vision is starting to clear out. There's an entrance over there, maybe there is a way out of here.
Kirito: Here, take this.
Kirito then tosses me a healing potion and as I begin drinking it, I begin to wonder as to why Philia was with laughing coffin. Two theories came up to my head, one would be the PoH might have tricked her with his mind playing games, the other one might be that Philia could have been with them this whole time but there is no substantial evidence of my theories, the only way I was going to know, is that if I find Philia and Laughing coffin to get some answers.
You: Alright, my HP is all full.
Kirito: mine as well. Shall we head out?
You: Let's.
With that, Kirito and I began walking through the dungeon that was, unsurprisingly, filled with enemies. Kirito and I had to fight every last one of them in order to get out. After some time, we finally made it to the exit.
You: there it is!
Kirito: Come on, let's run before anymore spawn out!
Kirito and I ran for the exit and as we reached it, we finally made it outside.
Kirito: Aahh… *he breathes in* fresh air!
You: Heh, it's the exact same air we were breathing in there.
Kirito: I know that but it makes me feel so much better. We should probably head back to the administration are to see if Philia is still there.
You: Yeah, the teleport stone is right over there.
Kirito then proceeds to activate the stone and with that, we are both teleported into the administration area.
Administration area
Kirito: Philia, Philia are you here?
…
You: Guess she is not here…
Kirito: what do we do now?
You: There is nothing more to do. I think we should head to Arc Sophia
Kirito: yeah… you're probably right.
As we say that, we both stand in front of the gate and begin teleporting ourselves back to Arc Sophia.
Floor 76th: Arch Sophia
As we both step out of the teleport gate, we hear the sounds of footsteps rushing over here. Much less to my surprise, it was Asuna.
Asuna: (You)! Kirito!
Kirito: Oh, hey there Asuna.
Asuna: Don't "Hey there Asuna" me! Where have you two been? It's been hours!
Kirito: S-Sorry Asuna… we just had to deal with something…
Asuna: Hmm… can't you give me more details than that?
Kirito: S-Sure, of course I am. But let's head back home first, there is a lot I need to tell.
You: More like, we need to tell.
Asuna: Hmm… I understand.
After that, we all call our friends and gather up at Agil's shop and begin explaining everything to everyone. Needless to say, they were just as speechless as we were.
Kirito: and then we fell down a dungeon and we couldn't use teleport crystals or even send messages. It was a tight spot.
You: We eventually found a way out but it did take a while.
Asuna: it sounds like it… I am just glad you two made it back in one piece.
Leafa: oh you guys, you're always getting wind up into trouble.
Lisbeth: Uh, they don't get wind up, they go looking for it. I swear, it's like they are both twins.
Twilight: I honestly don't have any idea of what is going on but one thing I do know, is that this Philia girl tried to kill my brother by luring him into a trap! She must pay, that is certain. Maybe if I go and pay her a little visit—
You: Oh-ho, no you're not. You've already caused enough problems, you're not going anywhere unless I say so.
Twilight: B-But, brother—
You: No but's. And if you don't listen to me, I will not go with you on your next expedition.
Twilight: Uh! Oooh, fiinneee…
Silica: B-But did Philia really mean to trick you guys? Maybe she's the one who got tricked.
Lisbeth: not possible. I mean you heard her apologizing, right?
Kirito: Yeah, but there must be some kind of explanation to all this…
Lisbeth: what more is there? It's just PK, and an almost perfectly executed one at that! Would any reason justify that?!
Sinon: I have to agree. I don't think you guys should head back to the hollow area for some time. If it is true that laughing coffin is still alive, then there is a possibility that other orange guilds are there as well.
Mito: I mean, after listening to what you two had to say, I don't think it's a good idea for you to head back in there either.
Sanya: In all honesty, have you all learn nothing after all this time? Even if we say our opinions, they will just do whatever they want.
Yui: Sanya is right…
Koharu: So… what do you guys want to do?
Asuna: Yeah…
You: Kirito…
Kirito: yeah…
You: We all appreciate your concerns, but truth be told, I cannot leave her after she shared me her side of the story. Whenever I remember her story, I just think about myself. Even if she is a bad person, I need to see for myself.
Kirito: I feel the same way. I just can't bring myself to believe that she is a bad person. That's why I feel like I need to go back and find out the truth.
Asuna: I thought you two would say that.
Koharu: I agree. I wouldn't have expected any less.
Lisbeth: Hold up you two! You are actually with them going back?!
Koharu: it's just like Sanya said. There is nothing we can do to change their minds.
Asuna: even if we attempt to stop them, they'd just go anyway.
Sanya: Of course even I would know, I've been partnered up with him longer than anyone.
Koharu: Haha, yeah, we'll get into that later.
Asuna: and if that is the case, we'd be better off by just supporting them. They'd have a better chance of survival that way.
Koharu: but you two will still need support. Philia was the best guide you guys had but now she is not here.
You: good point… were gonna haft to bring someone.
Kirito: going all in with everyone might not prove to be a good idea, especially with such a tiny space where the laughing coffin can attack very easily.
You: yeah… if anything, we might haft to bring at least one.
Kirito: I was actually thinking of bringing Yui.
Yui: Me? Well… how can I help?
Kirito: don't worry Yui, I won't put you in any danger. It's just you know a thing or two about the hollow areas data and systems, right?
Yui: Well… I guess so… it might prove to be a bit difficult for me to interfere, but I can at least take a look at what we're dealing with.
You: it might show us why Philia reacted the way she did back then.
Yui: Okay, I'll help you out. And I can also fight, so if you guys need any help with fighting some enemies, just let me know.
You: Alright Yui, then you're coming with us to the hollow area.
Yui: Right.
With that, Yui joined party with me and Kirito and we are now heading back to the administration area. My only hope, was that when we do find Philia, she is not part of laughing coffin. Also, when we were back in that dungeon, I could feel the fluctlight energy surging closer. I couldn't speak for everyone, but I think we are getting closer to discovering the secrets behind the hollow area and to find the first missing piece of my fluctlight. I don't know what exactly awaits ahead but one thing I do know, is that we are getting closer to the truth.
