Chapter – 12
Aid on the other side – SAO Integral Fragments
Authors note: Hello everyone! First of all, I want to apologize, in my last chapter I forgot to mention to everyone that I was going back to my hometown for 2 weeks to visit a relative that recently passed away. I got back a week ago and I promise that the next chapter will come in a week. With that being said, enjoy the story.
Feeling completely nervous and scared, I, along with my friends and niece enter the boss room, where it was all pitch black and wide clear. The area seemed to be a bit too large. The area also seemed familiar, like as if it was a cruel memory.
You: Igh… I am not sure how I feel about this.
Kirito: good… so it's not only me…
Philia: what's wrong? We take on this kind of challenges all the time.
Kirito: Yeah but… something feels both familiar and terrifying.
You: Good… so it's not only me…
"crackle…" "Crackle…"
Yui: Hmm… *she gasps* Daddy! Uncle, up there!
Kirito: Ghigh…!
You: No way… *I say horrified*
Philia: is that…?!
Kirito: the skull…
You: Reaper…
Skull reaper: AAAAAARGHHH!
The same horrific boss that nearly wiped the entire assault team on the 75th floor was once again waiting to face us. Just waiting at the top of the ceiling and it began to head down towards us.
Kirito: Everybody stand back!
"Swooooshhh!"
Skull reaper: AAAAAAAAAARGH!
As the boss landed on the ground and cried its might roar, its real name and health bars spawn up.
You: Wait, its name is different! The hollow reaper.
Kirito: and it looks pretty similar to the one we fought when we first met Philia!
Yui: Yes. This boss is not as nearly as powerful as the Skull reaper.
You: Guess that is some good news…
Hollow reaper: AAAAAAAAAAUUUUUR! *it swings its scythe claw*
You: Whoa!
"CRASH!"
You: but it doesn't mean it's not powerful!
Kirito: (You) and I will attack from the front! You two try to keep it distracted!
Yui: Come on Philia!
Philia: right!
Kirito: (You)!
You: Right!
Kirito and You: EEEEEEYAAAAAAAAAA!
Kirito and I dash towards the boss as the boss backflips away from our attacks. The ground, however, still sends a destructive shockwave that pushes the boss a bit.
Yui: HEAAA!
Yui lands her attacks and manages to drop the boss's HP down to a quarter. The boss was preparing to attack once again, but Philia managed to parry the scythe attack before it hit Yui.
Philia: Switch!
You: Take this! *I land an 8 hit combo attack*
With my sword shining brightly with every swing, the hollow reaper attempted to slash me with its tail but Yui steps in just in time and blocks the attack.
Yui: Switch!
Kirito: HREAAAA!
Kirito then unleashes a worldspin dual sword attack which hits the boss a total of 12 times.
Hollow reaper: AAAAAAAUUURRRR!
The boss steps back as the four of us land our attacks. Philia providing support, Yui launching critical attacks, along with Kirito and I landing heavy frontal attacks.
Yui: EEEYYAAAAA! *she stabs the boss's chest*
Hollow reaper: AAAAAAARGGGHHHH!
The boss jumps to the other side of the room as it positions itself for an attack.
Kirito: Uh! Everyone, avoid its attack!
Hollow reaper: AAAAUUUUUURRRG!
"Swoooosh!"
The boss then rams through the room as it stabs the ground with its four sharp scythes and short legs. The boss eventually reaches the end of the room and then faces Philia.
You: Ph-Philia! It's focused on you!
Philia: Uh…!
Philia seemed panicked, her legs and arms were shaking and while although the three of us noticed it we were too far away to even help her.
Kirito: Philia!
Hollow reaper: AAAAAARGGGG!
The boss leaps towards philia with a scythe aiming towards her.
You, Yui and Kirito: PHILIAAA!
Philia: igh… *she grips her dagger* …YEAAAAAAAAAAAA!
"CACHIIIIING!"
In the short neck of time, Philia parries the attack and weakens the boss as its defense, strength and speed lower down.
Yui: The boss is in a weakened state! This is our chance!
You: Kirito! Yui!
Yui and Kirito: Right!
Yui and Kirito begin charging towards the boss as both of their weapons begin to shine brightly. Yui and Kirito reach the boss and as they do, they leap and aim for its head. With a bright light, Kirito and Yui cross slash the boss's head and then the slash lines explode within as it deals both massive and critical damage.
Hollow reaper: AAAARRRRRRUUUUOOO!
You: Alright… *I grab the strange cube* let's do this… rush recollection!
With my body beginning to power up with a red aura, I dash at high speeds towards the boss where I begin to aim at its chest.
You: its right there…
Everything was going silent… it was like I was dashing faster than the speed of sound… the boss's chest was giving a small yellow glow… it was there…
You: *I breath in… and out…* Hmph…
"Shooosh…." "KuuurrpoOOOOOWWWW!"
Everyone: Igh!
Everybody was usung their arms to cover their faces from the wind of dust. Eventually the room settles down and returns to going back to a dark quite room.
You: "Pant…" "Pant…"
Yui: Uncle… uncle…
Kirito: (You)… can you hear us…?
Their voices sounded distant, like as if they were screaming from a faraway tunnel… all I could hear was a buzzing sound in my ears. It was like I've gone deaf.
?: Aaahhh…
You: Huh…?
A weird floating orb that was glowing bright yellow was hovering in front of my face and led a little jingly sound as it spoke.
?: Great job… you've found the first part of me… but there are still the others who are missing. Help us get back into one…
The voice was speaking so softly it was hard to determine if it was a male or a female speaking. As it finished speaking, it began hovering toward the cube and a small line of yellow shined within the cube.
You: Whoa…
Kirito: (You)… (You)!
You: Augh! You don't haft to shout!
Kirito: I was shouting quietly but you didn't listen.
You: Augh, sorry…
Philia: what happened?
You: *I show them the cube* first piece is gathered.
Philia: how many more pieces are missing?
You: Not sure exactly…
Yui: Uncle. The boss also dropped this.
Everyone: Huh?!
The item Yui was holding looked almost too much like a cell phone.
You: Is this… a phone?
Kirito: but how can a phone even exist in SAO?
Philia: do we know it even works?
"Beep"
Everyone: Huh?
The phone gave a small vibration along with a beeping sound.
Phone announcer: Welcome (You) Takayama. Please insert the key.
You: they key?
Kirito: what is it talking about?
You: if I knew, I wouldn't have asked.
Phone announcer: Please insert the key.
You: Uh, what key? *I tell the phone*
Phone announcer: please insert the key.
You: not very helpful.
Phone announcer: Please insert the key. *it shows a square mark*
You: Hmm… that seems like… *I grab the cube and place it on top*
As the cube is placed, the phone is immediately unlocked and the screen shows a home screen similar to when you turn a new phone on.
You: Alright… not sure what to do exactly…
"Ring-Ring" "Ring-Ring"
The phone was ringing like a normal cellphone but it didn't bring up the number or the name of who it was, just the answering button.
You: Uh… *I press accept* um… hello?
?: Huh?! "Rustle-Rustle" H-Hello?!
The one on the other end seemed to have the voice of a male, and he appeared to be both shock and excited with the sound of papers and object being tossed everywhere.
You: Y-Yes…?
?: Oh my gosh! Hey Kik's! its him, he found the phone!
Kirito: who is that?
You: No clue?
?: Yes, hello.
The voice seemed different this time. It had a deeper voice.
You: Y-Yes.
?: am I speaking to (You) Takayama?
You: Y-Yes that's me.
?: Oh thank goodness. Listen, my name is Kikuoka Seijirou, I am calling from outside SAO right now.
You: O-Okay…
Kikuoka: Listen. Your body, along with your sisters, has been transferred to a different location. A secret government research facility.
As I heard those words… I could feel my heart racing even though I didn't have it in me. My hands and legs were shaking and all I could think about were the horrible memories of my father…
You: Um… by any chance… did you work with… Alsevir Canongo…?
Kikuoka: Y-Yes… he was your father, right?
After hearing that, I drop the phone and space out. All I could think about were the horrible memories beginning to take over my mind
You: No… no…
I fall down on my knees as I hold my head with my eyes filled with fear. Kirito took over after this.
Kirito POV
(You) was left on the ground trembling in fear, I honestly didn't know how to react, I just grabbed the phone and answered the call.
Kikuoka: Hello?
Kirito: Y-Yes, this is Kirito.
Kikuoka: is (You) still there?
Kirito: H-He is, but he's… I don't know what's wrong with him.
Kikuoka: W-Well, just make sure he keeps this phone, he is going to need it. I'll call back within an hour or two. *he hangs up*
Philia: Who was that?
Kirito: Not sure. But (You) doesn't seem like he's doing so well.
You: No… not again…
Kirito: (You), get up. What's wrong?
You: igh… no…
Yui: Uncle? Uncle are you okay?
Philia: it's like he lost complete track of reality.
Kirito: Let's get him out of here.
We carried him all the way back to the administration area and despite all of that, he was still trembling in fear.
Administration area
Kirito: (You), come on man. Get a grip on yourself.
You: you don't understand… that guy… the guy on the other end… he was an acquaintance of my father.
Kirito: Huh? You mean your real dad?
You: Yeah… and if he knows that, then that means he must know who I really am… no, this can't be happening. It's like they're back to haunt me.
Yui: I don't think he meant us any harm.
You: what makes you think that?
Yui: Why else would he give you a way to communicate on the other side?
You: Hmm…
Yui: Uncle, this seems like a good opportunity to gather more information about what is going on. If he is truly from the place your parents experimented on you, then he must know more about what happening.
Philia: she has a good point. Maybe he can help us.
You: Igh… I'll try but I can't promise anything, I am not even sure if we can trust him.
Kirito: let's just go back. We will try to get rid of Philias cursor some other time, is that alright?
Philia: don't worry about me, I'll be fine. Go.
Kirito: okay then, let's go back and report to the others.
With that, we all headed back to the 76th floor and gathered everyone to tell them about the news. With everything being covered up, everyone were in deep thoughts.
Sinon: So, the first piece was gathered and from there a phone was dropped as an item from the boss you defeated.
You: Yup. And the boss was pretty similar to the skull reaper.
Koharu: who was it at the other end of the phone?
You: Um… apparently he is an old acquaintance to my father.
Everyone: Uh…!
You: he is actually the one who was working on the experiments and is also the last person I saw before my parents showed they're true nature.
Asuna: what do you think he wants with you?
You: I don't know… he said that he brought my body back to his research facility. Along with my sister.
Everyone: Mm…
Everyone seemed to tense up after hearing that, seemed like they were worried.
Leafa: do you think they might attempt to continue the experiments that were never finished with you?
You: I don't know, if that were they're cause, they would have done it by now… the only way to get more information is by talking to him directly. Kirito said that will call back soon.
"Ring-Ring" "Ring-Ring"
You: And speak of the devil… *I hold the phone*
As I grabbed the phone, my finger hesitated to press the accept button.
You: Mm… here goes nothing… *I press accept* H-Hello?
Kikuoka: (You), are you feeling better?
You: Somewhat… what do you want from me?
Kikuoka: I don't want anything, I am only trying to help.
You: how can I trust you?
Kikuoka: I know what happened… with your family and all. When the news got out about the explosion, well… things toke a turn… for the worse. We realized that there were missing data from our files and that they were somehow ejected from the system, the only one who had authorization to such information was your father. Which lead us to believe that he stold all of those important documents.
You: okay, but what does that haft to do with me?
Kikuoka: you possess those missing files (You). They were all stored within your heart.
You: but how is that even possible?
Kikuoka: Its… complicated… I will explain the details to you when the opportunity is right, for now, all you need to focus on is by getting the missing fragments of your light cube back into one.
You: If this flucltight thing was living inside me, how did it got out?
Kikuoka: that was my doing, with a bit of help from your nervegear and with the technology we have in store here, getting your flucltight removed from your heart in game was a snap but since it is still held within SAO, we still aren't capable of retrieving it, all we could do was shatter your flutclight into pieces in order to prevent it from taking away your life.
You: So are you responsible for that weird glitch attack?
Kikuoka: in a cosmic sort of way, yes. I am pretty sure you are aware of those strange gates that were summoned in the center of the area your currently in.
You: yes.
Kikuoka: those gates, think of them as portal gates. Each one contains the location of where your flutclight has scattered, by retrieving the pieces, you power the gate up, think of it as like a key. That cube you have is the key you will need in order to restore your fluctlight.
You: Okay… and when I do get my fluctlight back into one, what will happen to it?
Kikuoka: First we will withdraw its energy source back into our containment unit and then we will extract the missing files that were ejected within it. Then we will use it to save your life.
You: Save my life? What does that mean?
Kikuoka: Like I said, it's complicated. It's not a good idea if I tell you now but believe me when I say, I will explain everything, in due time. It is urgent that you restore your fluctlight before someone else does. You are not alone in that world and those people are willing to take it away, if they do, who knows the horrors they could do with it. You don't need to trust me but please take my word for it, also your mom is right here with me.
You: My mom?
Kikuoka: She is watching you right now as we speak.
You: I-I see… alright then… I'll do what I can.
Kikuoka: Fantastic. Keep this phone with you and don't lose it. Contact me when you find the next missing piece, I haft to go now. Till we meet again. *he hangs up*
You: …
Sanya: Well… that was something.
Sachi: Was he from the real world?
You: As far as I can tell…
Koharu: What are you going to do now?
As Koharu made that question, I look back to the others who were waiting in anticipation. I barely even know the guy, I am not even sure if I should trust him. Part of me is worried that once he gets my fluctlight, he'll turn against me and then use it for who knows what. How do I know he is not the traitor? No wait, the traitor is a female… then just who is he?
You: Well… I don't know if I can trust him… but I do know what I must do.
I then grab the cube and see the little line of yellow form at the bottom. I can still remember its soft spoken voice, begging me to restore it back into one.
You: First, I will focus on restoring Philia's cursor and bring her back to Arc Sophia. After that… I am heading to search for the next piece.
Kirito: So, you are going to help Philia first?
You: Yes. It wouldn't be fair if I just leave this all to you Kirito. We both made a promise and I will make sure we see through to that. So, will you help me?
Kirito: Like you even need to ask.
Klein: Hey, not that I want to change the subject but, does anyone know where those two girls are? What were they're names…? Alice and Eydis, right?
You: I don't know, I haven't seen them since… we last spoke.
Silica: Do you think they're okay?
You: They're strong, I wouldn't worry about it.
Asuna: I also have a question… does anyone know where Yuuki is? I haven't seen her in a while and… I am just worried about her.
Sinon: No clue, last time I saw her, she was heading towards the forest, said that she needed to practice. No idea what she meant by that.
Asuna: She wasn't even here when that glitch took over… I hope she's okay.
You: You seem to care about her.
Asuna: Well… she and I have been questing together for quite a while, it's only natural I suppose.
You: Well, as long as her status remains alive, I am sure she will be fine. She is tough after all.
Asuna: I suppose that's true…
Koharu: "Clap-Clap" Alright, before you go out and do your things again, I suggest you take some time off. You need to rest.
You: *I sigh* I wish I could… but after all of this… I am not sure if I even can…
Koharu: (You)… *she holds my cheek* Please… take some time off… for me?
You: I… *I hold her hand* alright. I guess I can slow down for you.
Lisbeth: Geez, why don't you two just get a room?
Silica: L-Liz!
Sanya: Hmph...
You: Also, um… there's something I need to tell you all… especially you Koharu…
Koharu: Whats wrong? You look upset.
You: Well, uh… Kirito and I, as you know… we defeated PoH but… it wasn't in the intentional way…
Koharu: what do you mean?
You: I… I uh… I killed him…
Everyone: …
Kirito: it's true, but I assisted him on the act, so…
You: No Kirito, don't pin this on yourself as well. I killed PoH and… there is no excuse for it… I… broke our promise Koharu…
Koharu: Mm…
Koharu looked at me with eyes filled with surprise and thought, she was also adverting my gaze, which kind of got me worried if I am being honest.
Koharu: what happened?
You: Kirito and I teamed up to outmatch him and… I gave the final blow out of instinct. I wasn't even thinking, all I could think about was surviving. Tried to save Philias life… I guess I just, did what I thought was the best…
Koharu: Oh (You)… *she holds me in her arms* I understand… don't feel bad. You were just doing what needed to be done… don't blame yourself, your better then him…
You: Even so… I killed someone… again… after everything I've done, was it still not enough…?
Filled with guilt and trauma, I just letmy head rest on her chest.
"Th-thump" "Thump"
You: (Her heart… I can feel it… Hmm…)
Koharu: *she holds my face* it will be fine… so please, don't blame yourself for what happened.
You: I uh… *I sigh* if only it were that simple… but, I'll try.
Koharu: *she cutely kisses my nose* it will be fine. I promise. *she says with a smile*
After hearing her voice and her smile, my worries were thrown away.
Strea: I am relieved that he is feeling better.
Asuna: Yeah, if it weren't for Koharu, he'd probably lock himself in his room and wouldn't come out for large considerable amount of time.
Argo: unbelievable…
Lisbeth: a few words from his girl and he is hopping like a bunny, he just likes to be pampered…
Sinon: I think the world you are looking for is, Simp.
You: Alright, you girls are just starting to take advantage of this situation, aren't you?
Agil: Hehaha! Well, come on everyone, drinks are on me today.
Everyone: yeah!
After that, we all ate and drank until eventually it was night time and everyone left. Koharu and I headed back home where a lot of things ran through my mind.
Koharu: *she yawns and stretches* nothing like a good meal after a long hard day of work, huh?
You: Hard work? I'm the one who went to the hollow area, what you've doing?
Koharu: Oohh… stuff, there are a lot of things I don't tell you.
You: Ha! Guess that makes two of us.
Koharu: *she giggles* you know, I can't speak for the rest, but I can safely say that I feel more alive than ever in my entire life.
You: Oh?
Koharu: No, it's true… back in the real world, I was just this shy, geeky girl with glasses that people would normally avoided. There is no way I'd have such confidence if I haven't met you or the others.
You: But didn't the group of friends you have back in real life made you feel confident enough?
Koharu: Don't get me wrong, I always enjoyed spending time with them and they did make me break out of my shell… but I could never build up my confidence. You guys changed me… for the better, I now feel strong, dependent…
Koharu then slows down on her footsteps and wraps her arms around mine.
Koharu: Wanted…
You: Mm…
Koharu: what?
You: Well… this is the first time we go home walking arm in arm…
Koharu: *she giggles* Yeah… you know, normally, I'd be super embarrassed to attempt to do something as bold as this… but like I said, you and the others changed me for the better… and when we go back, I want to show the world the new me. And the guy who happens to be my hero.
You: Geez… your making me blush here…
Koharu: *she giggles* it's cute when you do.
Koharu felt really at peace with everyone… but what would happened if she knew…
You: Hey… Koharu.
Koharu: Yeah?
You: do you trust everyone in our group?
Koharu: Huh? Well… Yeah, I do. Why are you asking that silly question?
You: Well… this is a, what if scenario, if there was someone who… has I'll intentions and is keeping it a secret from everyone… what would you think of that person?
Koharu: What? You mean like a backstabber? Or a traitor?
You: Well… you can think of it that way.
Koharu: Well… I wouldn't understand the reason was to why… but I would personally hear this person before attempting anything, maybe he or she had a reason for doing it.
You: Hmm… a good way of seeing things.
Koharu: why do you ask that?
You: Oh, it just came to mind. Like, what would you do if I went out with another girl?
Koharu: Okay, you seriously don't wanna go there.
You: alright, alright. I'm just joking.
Koharu: Anyways, are you really heading back to the hollow area tomorrow?
You: Of course I am.
Koharu: Okay… then I am coming with you.
You: Hmm… alright, you and I haven't been questing together recently.
Koharu: Plus… I got a few surprises for you.
You: Surprises, what surprises?
Koharu: it's a surprise, you'll see tomorrow. *she says with a wink*
Whenever she does things like that, I always look forward to her surprises. Might be because of the surprise party she threw me last year. Anyways, the two of us went back home, still arm in arm, and waited for tomorrow.
The next day, floor 76: Arc Sophia teleport gate
As the next day arrived, Koharu and I walked to the teleport gate where Kirito was already waiting for us. Or rather me since I didn't tell him that Koharu was coming.
Kirito: Hey (You)… and Koharu?
You: Yeah, she's coming with us today.
Kirito: Oh, that's great. The more the merrier, right?
Koharu: I hope you don't mind.
Kirito: Oh no, not at all.
You: Come on, Philia is already waiting.
Koharu: right. *she sends a party request*
You: *I accept the request*
"You are now in a party with Koharu"
You: Alright, let's do this.
The three of us begin teleporting to the administration area where Philia was already waiting in the center of the room.
Administration area
You: Philia, you're here.
Philia: Yup. Ready to go.
You: Koharu is coming with us.
Philia: I see. Think you can handle it?
Koharu: don't underestimate the Kerry assassin.
Kirito: Alright, this is the last push, you guys ready?
You: Definitely.
Koharu: Ready-ready-ready!
Philia: lets do it!
Kirito: where is the portal?
Philia: over there.
Philia then points to an area where the same symbol in Kirito's hand glowed red, along with a notification saying "teleport to underground administration area".
You: this must be it. Let's go.
With just the press of a button, the four of us are teleported away. When we arrive, we spawned in a very wacky area. The place was all detailed with high florescent colors, it was like walking inside an arcade building, the lights were mostly blue and right in front of us stood another gate with the same symbol and same color.
Announcer: System authorities detected. All-green release.
With that, the gate disappears and the last dungeon is seen right in front of us.
Kirito: this is the last dungeon…
Philia: I have no idea how he managed to make it into here.
Kirito: it seems PoH was a high level test player. And a criminal as well, of course. I wouldn't be surprise if he got ahold of some special skills.
Philia: well, if he was able to make it, then so can we.
You: Well, someone sure seems fired up.
Philia: it's your guys's fault, so make sure you don't disappoint me.
You: Well then, let's go stop PoH's update and get you back to normal Philia.
Philia: Yeah!
Koharu: I hope there are strong monsters here.
You: you want there to be strong monsters?
Koharu: Yeah, I want to show you the surprises I have in stock.
With that, she grips her dagger from the back of her waist, twirls it and then grips it in combat mode.
Koharu: let's do this. *she says proudly*
You: alright then. Let's go!
The four of us entered the dungeon and it was quite long, so I'll just write the events of what happened. The dungeon first started out as a small layered area with a few mobs in place. The mobs were quite weak, so we were able to handle them without any effort. After dealing with the mobs, we finally made it to the end of the area where a teleportation stone was placed, using it, it teleported us to a different area with a different layer and different mobs. It eventually escalated to larger and stronger enemies, the more we proceeded, the more dangerous it got, I also noticed that were going through floors, I counted 9 teleport stones as we proceeded which lead me to believe that we climbed a total of 9 floors. The monsters were getting stronger and deadlier, but we knew that we needed to defeat them in order to proceed. Eventually, we found the next teleport stone but it was surrounded by enemies, without having any other choice, we prepared to engage.
You: All right, we made it this far… let's take them out.
Koharu: Actually…
You: Yes?
Koharu: I think it's time.
Kirito: time for what?
Koharu: *she chuckles* to show off my unique skill!
Everyone: …Huh?
Koharu then grabs an item from her storage. As the item begins materializing, we see that it is a crimson colored dagger that matched her outfit. The dagger was triangular shape and had a straight green line in the middle.
You: is that a secondary dagger? When did you make it?
Koharu: I told you, I don't tell you everything I do. But if you must know, Liz helped me out with it and with the core metal you gave me for my birthday, I made this. A dagger that has higher qualities then my original dagger.
You: So you are going to use that instead?
Koharu: Nope… *she twirls both daggers* this is my unique skill. Crimson Diesis.
You: What?! You mean… you can wield two daggers at a time?! Like Kirito?!
Koharu: I guess you can say that, it is dual wielding but I can only use it with daggers, the skill doesn't take affect if it's used with any other weapons.
You: I see… so now you possess a unique skill.
Koharu: Yup, I discovered it a few weeks ago. Just like Kirito, I was scrolling down my skill menu and just found it, then it was a matter of secret practice for me to master it.
Philia: I must admit, that's pretty sick.
Koharu: I know right.
Monsters: Graaauuu!
You: Looks like the monsters took notice of us, we need to engage.
Koharu: Don't worry, I can handle it.
As Koharu twirls her daggers once more, she leaps towards the mobs at amazing speeds, and when I say amazing, I mean literally amazing. She was no longer in sight in just a matter of seconds, Koharu was running with her hands flying free and her head up high, her eyes were focused on the massive buffed out beasts that were wielding a giant two handed axe.
Large demon: GRAAAOUU! *the mob swings its axe*
Koharu: Hmph!
Before long, Koharu blocks the axe attack from her neck by only a few inches and dodges the attack, as she does so, she uses her speed to spin the mob around and then throws it at the large herd of mobs guarding the teleport stones as if they were bowling pins.

With that, everyone begins to attack the mobs. Philia paralyzed sex blue fear wasps and Kirito finished them off, I on the other hand, stood on Koharu's side as we both began to land our attacks.

As the mob screeched like a pig, I continued the attack with an overpowered sword skill that send the mob back a few steps before falling down to the ground and disappearing into blue trickling polygons.
Blue fear wasps: BZZZ! BZZZ! BZZZ!
Kirito: more are coming!
Koharu: YEAAA! *she throws both her daggers*
Koharu's daggers twirl in sync and cut down all of the wasps in a single strike. After that, the daggers twirl back in our direction like boomerangs and land on Koharu's hands.
You: Seriously, what were you doing while I was gone?! *I say in total shock*
Koharu: just leveling up my weapon proficiency.
You: Really? Well… I think you may have over done it.
Koharu: you think? I feel like I can still get better.
Monsters: GROOUUU!
You: more are coming, we'll talk later! Come on!
The four of us, with our attacks in sync, we take down all of the remaining mobs and finally make it to the teleport stone.
Philia: HEAAA! *she slashes the last mob* Phew… that's the last of them.
You: Good, we made it to the teleport stone.
Koharu: do you think this will take us to the final stage?
You: it should. By the way, your unique skill, it's pretty cool. With that skill, you will be able to take down more mobs then the usual number.
Koharu: Yeah, this will definitely benefit us.
Kirito: guess you and I are the dual wielders here.
Koharu: *she giggles* guess so.
You: Come on, let's proceed.
With that, I activate the teleport stone and then it begins teleporting us to the next stage. As we arrive, we are standing in front of what seems to be multiple gates with the same red symbol that were placed in the previous gates.
Koharu: whoa… look at all of these gates.
Kirito: looks like the areas blocked…

Kirito's palm was shining the same symbol as the gates and as it does, all of the gates fade away, one by one. Eventually, all the gates begin to fade away and the path is now clear. At the end of the path, there was a massive teleport gate that was glowing red.
Philia: so… this is the place.
Kirito: it does give the, "this is it" shout, doesn't it.
You: I hardly doubt there won't be a boss waiting inside that room.
Koharu: it's most likely, that is how it always goes.
You: Well then… let's do this…
