Son of a bitch! I'm so sorry about that I don't know how it glitched on me like that. Would have fixed it sooner but I was at work and my phone wouldn't let me. It should work this time. Disclaimer: Don't own One Piece that still belongs to Oda. Don't own Harry Potter that still belongs to JK. On with the story.
Chapter 15
Life Goes On
Shortly after Garp had left, the now trio of brothers decided to check out Grey Terminal. Only to find the nobels dumping trash over there once more. It wouldn't be long before Grey Terminal was back to normal. In the kid's anger and disgust, they had decided not to come back to Grey Terminal or High Town for quite some time. Preferring to stay in the woods. They didn't go back to their old treehouse either. Too many memories of Sabo.
They still kept to their training grounds as well as the Bandit's hut which (after another argument between Ace and Luffy) now included two poorly made huts. One read Ace's Country and the other read Luffy's/Harry's Country despite Harry wanting no part in this. Ace had really started to step up as the big brother. Especially after he nearly let Luffy get mauled by the King Bear in an attempt to get Luffy to toughen up on his own. Harry would have killed Ace if the older boy wasn't already drowning in his own guilt.
Things fell back into routine after that. Training, hunting, eventually going back to High Town and causing ruckus there. Including one really scary moment where they found out Luffy was bulletproof. Ace also took manner lessons from Makino after he decided to find Shanks and thank him for saving Luffy. Harry still kept writing letters for Sabo to the point he started to keep a journal on him. Things didn't really change for Harry until he and Luffy turned 11.
The boys were out in a field with Luna, trying to find another one of her imaginary creatures. Luffy was always excited about these as he thought the creatures were real and were just as excited as Luna to find one. Harry and Ace believed otherwise but always tagged along just to keep an eye on them. Suddenly Harry heard a faint whistling and a light green glow coming from the compass he was wearing.
He held it up as for the first time since he ever got it, the compass was spinning. When Harry brought it to his face it slowed down and pointed off in a certain direction. Luna and the boys quickly noticed what Harry was doing and ran up to him.
"You fidgeting with that old thing again?" Ace asked as he was the first to reach him. "I thought it was busted."
"It was but look at it now," Harry said as the other two reached him. He moved the compass and to everyone's surprise, the arrow still pointed in the same direction.
Luffy grinned. "Let's follow the compass and see where it goes," he suggested. Everyone agreed and with Harry in the lead, started to head in the direction the compass was pointing at. After a few minutes, they found a small cabin that was close to the route leading to Windmill Village. At that point, the compass squeaked and gave out. Becoming useless once again.
"Huh that's weird," Harry noted shaking the compass trying to make it work again.
Ace looked towards the cabin it was pointing to. "Why would it want to lead you here?" he asked.
Luffy then perked up. "Oh maybe there's some magical treasure hidden there," he suggested and then started to run up to the cabin. Harry and the others quickly chased after him.
"Luffy wait! We shouldn't just rush in there." He tried to warn.
Before anyone could say anything else the door opened and the children quickly ducked behind the side of the house (grabbing hold of Luffy as well so he doesn't do anything stupid) as a hooded figured made it's way out. Turning back to the door the figure said "I do hope you could reconsider my offer, dear professor. I sure could use someone like you by my side."
Another voice replied to the figure. "What you speak of is foolishness!" A voice from inside called out. "Your plan is nothing more than a scheme. A quite idiotic and malicious one at that."
The hooded figure just laughed. "I can assure you, ma'am, what I have in mind is simply the future. I left my number with you so if you ever change your mind you can call me." As an answer, the door simply slammed shut. The hooded person simply shrugged and took her leave. Once she was out of sight Luffy got loose and started knocking on the door.
The door slammed right back open. Luffy was faced with an older woman who's glare at that moment could rival Garp's. It quickly softens though once she saw the young rubber boy instead of the hooded figure.
"Luffy could you not do that," Harry called out as he, Ace and Luna ran to him. Harry bowed in front of the older woman. "I'm really sorry about my brother mam," he said as Ace stood next to him and bowed as well.
Both of them missed the shocked look across the woman's face as she spotted Harry and Luna. She quickly shook it off as she replied. "Oh no worry dears. I just thought you were that dreadful woman back again. Now I must ask: what are four young teenagers such as yourselves doing out here?"
Harry held his compass up to the woman. "This thing was pointing in the direction of your hut," he explained.
The woman took it and examined it. "I've seen this kind of magical device before. It's said to be a compass made to track other people with magic." She told them.
Luffy tilted his head in confusion. "Huh but Luna has magic and this is the first time the compass noticed something."
"Why would it, young man? The compass needs your magic for it to work. Magic users won't come into their magic until they are eleven. Even so, there's no need for the compass to alert you of- Lluna you called her?- Luna's magic because she has been around that compass as much as you." The kids nodded in understanding before the woman realized something. "Oh, but where are my manners. Please, call me Minvera. Now what are the rest of your names?"
"Name's Ace"
"I'm Luna"
"Harry"
"And I'm Luffy and I'm gonna be King of the Pirates!"
Minerva laughed at that. "Oh, the ambitious dreams of children. So Harry and Luna is it? You two are capable of magic?" Neither child had said they were magic users, yet none of the kids noticed her singling out the only two magic users out of the four. Harry and Luna nodded at her question so she carried on, "I hope you are getting an education for those skills. Letting those talents go on unrestrained is dangerous."
Harry and Luna looked at each other. "Actually we haven't met anyone else that can use magic," Harry said.
Minerva gave a thoughtful look. "Well then. I will teach you. If that's to your liking?" She offered.
The two young sorcerers looked excited at the prospect.
"Wow, will you really?" Luna asked.
Minerva nodded. "Just come back here first thing in the morning and we'll get started."
Luna let out a disappointed whine. "I can't. I have chores first."
This didn't even phase their fellow witch. "Well, then we'll do your classes in the afternoon. Can you both make it by that time, or shall I make you into a pocket watch to ensure it?"
The kids laughed as they agreed to come. After they quickly bid farewell to her, Minerva closed the door to her hut. She stumbled over to her couch. Falling into it, she stared down with a shocked expression. She couldn't believe it. Harry Potter and Luna Lovegood were here?
The hooded figure said that others besides her were reincarnated but she didn't think her former students would be involved. Looking back, she shouldn't have been surprised about Harry being here but Miss Lovegood as well? Just how many were out there? What was going on?
So I know I said earlier that those who were reincarnated wouldn't retain their memories. But I specifically said those from Harry's Generation wouldn't remember. Any older incarnates that I add to the story will have their memories. It'll be explained why later. As always please leave a review. Feedback gives me life. Follow this story to know when the next chapter comes up. Favorite once it's done (which shouldn't be much longer I've got like two more chapters planned). And I will see you all in the next chapter.
