After Sakaki had gotten all set up, Kagura sat down on her bed and made conversation with the black haired girl. "Do you play any video games?" Kagura asked. Sakaki shook her head back and forth. "Not really." She plainly answered. "I did play a cat game on one of the school computers, though."

"Oh really?" Kagura asked, her interest piqued. She perked up on the bed and sat up. "What sort of game was it? Did you have to run around and hunt mice and stuff?"

"Um, no, nothing like that." Sakaki quickly answered.

"Oh." Kagura sheepishly said, feeling slightly embarrassed. She didn't let it show, however, and carried on the conversion as usual. "So, what was it about?"

"Well, you started off as a cat, and you had to move around the landscape-"

"Landscape?"

"Mhm." Sakaki nodded. "There were hills, and platforms, and gaps you had to jump over."

"Ohhh! That's probably a flash game."

"A what?"

"A flash game! It's was 2D, right? You could only move and left and right?"

Sakaki sharply nodded.

"Yeah, that's a Flash game, those ones are totally free and you can only play it in a browser. I bet they even put little collectibles in too, right?"

"Oh, yes, there were these yarn balls spread out across the level."

"Haha! Yep, that's a flash game alright!"

"Do you play them a lot?"

Kagura shook her head back and forth.

"Nah, not really, only if I'm at school. Hey, do you wanna see one of the games I normally play?" She excitedly asked her friend. It's really really cool, I can show you what to do and everything."

"Sure."

"Alright!" Kagura exclaimed. She shot out of her bed and rushed over to where the TV was. She powered on the TV and the games console, then searched her bookshelf for the game she was looking for. While she did this, Sakaki crawled over from where she was and sat herself down next to where Kagura was sat. "Aha!" Kagura let out after finding the game. "Hold this." She then said, handing Sakaki a game case. Sakaki looked down at the case. It read "Pokemon Shield." She blushed upon seeing it, as she had seen some photos of the cute Pokemon online as well as a few episodes of the show on TV (which she would sneak in whenever her father went to sleep early). Sakaki was busy fantasizing about all the adorable Pokemon she had seen on TV when Kagura snatched the case away from her. "Thanks!" Kagura thanked Sakaki, before putting the game back on the shelf. Sakaki was confused for a moment. "Aren't we playing that one?" She said, pointing towards the shelf. Kagura shook her head back and forth. "Nah, this one's much cooler."

Kagura booted the game up on her console as Sakaki sat patiently next to her. She didn't pay much attention to the TV as she was caught up thinking about Pokemon again. She remembered a pink cat named Skitty, and how it always appeared to be playful and cuddly in the show. "Alright, pay attention." Kagura said, catching Sakaki's attention. The screen faded from black to the inside of a hospital room, coated from wall to wall with a crimson shade of blood. Sakaki immediately felt uncomfortable, the hairs on her back standing up and goosebumps rising upon her arms and back. "Um, what game is this?" She asked Kagura. "It's called Doom." She simply replied, before returning to an explanation of the games mechanics. "Ok, so look, there's this demon that's gonna pop up."

"Demon?" Sakaki thought. "Like...a kappa?"

She remembered the character Kapp'n from a movie she had watched. However, to her surprise, as the game character went through a pair of sliding doors, the camera quickly and abruptly shot forward, focusing on the most disgusting, wretched looking thing Sakaki had ever laid eyes on. It let out a sharp cry, disturbing the innocent girl even more. "Ok, so you just shoot them with this shotgun..." Kagura shot the demon once, which then began to flash orange and blue, "and then you press down on this button, see?"

Kagura pressed down on the right thumb stick, leading Sakaki to watch in horror as the game character grabbed the demons head and tore it from it's deformed, disgusting body. Upon seeing the blood gush out, Sakaki became so overwhelmed that she let out the loudest, highest, most bloodcurdling scream you could imagine. Kagura turned around in shock as Sakaki backed away from the TV slowly, holding her arms up to block as much of the screen as she could. "What's wrong?!" Kagura quickly let out, pausing the game and rushing over to her friend. "What's wrong? Are you ok?"

Sakaki's heart was racing and her mind was in a state of panic. "Blood..." She let out quietly.

"What's wrong?" Kagura asked again. "Is it the blood? You don't like blood?"

"It...scares..." Sakaki became choked up with tears quickly after saying this. Kagura began to panic, as she was unprepared for this. She desperately looked around for something she could use to wipe her tears away, quickly remembering the box of tissues she had on her dresser. She dashed over to the dresser without haste and bought the box over to her friend. "Here." She said, handing Sakaki a tissue. "Th-thank...you." Sakaki stuttered, taking the tissue and wiping her eyes away. Out of nowhere, a sharp banging began to radiate from the door. "Kagura? Is everything ok? You two aren't wresting again, are you?"

Kagura blushed slightly. "No mom!"

"Wresting?" Sakaki noted in her mind, still hung up on the blood she saw. The tomboy rushed over to the door and opened it up to speak to her mom. "Hey, we're ok." She told her mom.

"What's going on? Who screamed?" She sternly asked.

"Sakaki did. I was showing her one of my games, and there was a lot of blood in it, I didn't know she was afraid of blood and -"

"Is it that Doom game?" Her mother asked, her voice growing angry.

"Um, it's -"

"It is, isn't it."

Kagura let out a defeated sigh.

"Yeah..."

"Didn't I tell you not to play that game anymore? It's way too violent for you."

"W-well Dad said I could play it when I was a senior, and since I'm a senior imma few da-"

"You're not a senior yet, little missy."

Her mother extended her hand. "Give me the game."

"Mom, please can't I-"

"Now."

Kagura stopped and sighed. She walked over to her console and put the game back in the case, then handed it to her mother.

"Thank you." Her mother said. "Sakaki?" She then spoke. "Are you ok? Would you like any water?"

Sakaki looked up towards the door, unable to see Kagura's mother's face.

"I-I'm ok, thank you." She humbly replied.

"If you need anything, let me know." Kagura's mother told the young girl. Sakaki thanked her friends mother and she left the two girls alone again. Kagura went over to console her friend while her mother went back downstairs. The tomboy rubbed Sakaki's back as she uses another tissue to dry your face.

"Sorry...about the game." Sakaki apologized. Kagura batted her hand.

"Don't even worry about it, I'll have it back in a few days. Are you ok, though?"

Sakaki nodded. There was a silence between them for a bit. Kagura stared down at the ground before saying something.

"I'm sorry about the game, I didn't know you were scared of blood. I guess I should've known better, though. After all, you didn't wanna see that violent movie yesterday. Sorry."

"It's ok." Sakaki reassured her friend, this time feeling much calmer. She put her hand on Kagura's, which made Kagura look up at Sakaki's face. The tall girl smiled sweetly at her, letting Kagura know everything was ok between them. Kagura smiled back and gave a hug to her friend. "Do you still wanna play a game?" The tomboy asked after pulling away from the hug. Sakaki nodded and pointed towards the shelf. "Can we play the one you handed me?"

"Hm? The Pokemon one?" Kagura clarified. Sakaki nodded.

"Yeah, of course."

Kagura walked back over to the console and got it ready for them to play. Sakaki dried away the last of her tears, feeling much better on the inside.
