Lloyd POV: Despite worrying about them, we arrived at the camp. It was similar to the fortress that we saw before. But it was a lot smaller and made up of tents rather than stone walls. Three soldiers were patrolling outside while the rest of them were inside, standing around. The leader was nowhere to be seen, but given the larger tent that had a light glowing in it, he was here. Zane placed the Bounty close enough so we could see them, but we wouldn't get stopped too easily. And once we stopped, Kai and Yuko walked over to me first.

"What's the plan?" Kai asked, and I waited a little before answering.

He wasn't shaking anymore, but he did seem a little guarded. Like he was trying to protect himself from another meltdown. I really wanted to tell him to stay behind, but I'm also not a fan of getting him angry.

"There aren't that many soldiers left. We might be able to take them if we don't waste time." I said, after the others gathered around.

"They're strong, but they have weak points at the back of their necks and right between their armor. As well as getting more fatal hits" Yuko explains, which does make sense.

"Once we get them out of the way we can take the fight to the top. If we get rid of what's left of his army he'll have no choice but to face us." I said, and everyone nodded.

Without saying anything else we all jumped down and raced to the camp. We all drew our weapons once we were close and quietly took out the guards on the outside. Yuko was really fast with her dagger and easily took one down faster than the rest of us. I guess I was wrong to doubt she could handle herself.

We entered the camp by all of us kicking down the gate door at the same time, and gained the attention of the soldiers inside. They all came out to fight us and I got a good count of how many of them were left, which was close to thirty of them. With a couple of generals behind them. A lot more than I thought, but that was definitely a lot less than in that realm. Seems like Yuko was right about that.

Without waiting, Nya and Kai jumped into the fight and took out the two closest to them. Cole and Jay stayed close and easily took them down by hitting their weak points. Zane, Yuko, and I forced our way through their lines and headed right for the generals. Yuko launched herself at one while Zane and I tackled the other one. But unlike the others, these two were more prepared for us.

He easily blocked Zane and forced him back into me. I caught him and went for his leg. He realized that and jumped back, but Zane was waiting for him and got him hard in the back. He groaned, but swung after him. Zane was already clear and I took advantage of him being distracted. I aimed for his side before he could turn back to me and got a weak point.

He exploded into ash and I looked over at Yuko. She was easily overwhelming the general she was facing, and soon nailed him in the back of his neck and exploded. She was really good, I have to give her that. The others were now easily handling the weaker soldiers thanks to Yuko's tip. But right when we finished the last of them the main tent finally opened. And Malic walked out, but he didn't look mad. Just curious.

"And to think I was trying to figure out a way to bring you to me." he said, smirking as he looked at Yuko and Kai.

"This isn't going to end like you think, Malic. You're not going to get our friends." I said, determined. But I glanced at them both.

But Kai wasn't shaking like before. They both were ready to fight by the looks of it. Despite my doubts, I had to trust this was going to be fine.

"Perhaps, but, at the very least. Let's make this an entertaining fight." he said, and rushed right at me. With a long sword suddenly in his hands.

I wasn't prepared, but Yuko was fast and blocked his blow. Kai and Nya jumped in and tried to land a blow on both sides. Malic just jumped back, and right in Jay's lightning. He roared and launched himself at him, but Cole was ready for him and smacked him away.

He staggered a little and Zane and I took advantage of that. We rushed at him and he traded blows until he kicked Zane away and pushed me to the ground. He tried to stab me, but Kai tackled him and Yuko followed to help him until I got back on my feet.

They were holding their own, but it was clear they were getting tired. Cole got between them and gave him a heavy blow. Malic went flying into his tent, but he got up really fast and grinned like a maniac.

"This is better than I could have hoped for. But everything must come to an end." he said, sounding like a maniac too.

Again, he rushed, but much faster than before, right at Yuko and Kai. Kai managed to block the blow, but barely. Cole and Yuko tried to get him on opposites, but he moved just in time for them to accidentally get each other. Zane and Nya jumped in and shot some water and ice to slow him down. But it didn't really work, but it did get him off balance. I took advantage of this and got him in the chest before he grabbed my wrist and threw him into one of the tents.

I groaned and slowly got up to see Zane and Jay flying right at me. I caught Jay, but Zane knocked us over again.

"This isn't working." I groaned out, helping Jay up.

"According to my scans we're wearing him down. We just need to keep going." Zane said, sounding confident.

Jay and I nodded and we all went back to the fight. Cole was just getting kicked away and Yuko went to cover him as Kai got him on the back. Nya went to help Cole, who was bleeding a little from the head. Zane went to cover them both and Jay and I helped Kai.

But Malic looked excited to see us and traded blows with us before pushing us back. Soon Cole was back up and Yuko got back into the fight, but she sneaked behind him. I knew what she was doing and got him to focus on me. He didn't notice this and he tried to knock him over again. He was really strong and it was hard to not get overwhelmed by him.

Finally, Yuko got him right in the back of the neck and he fell to the ground. At first he got to his knees and I thought he was getting back like before, but he staggered like he was really hurt. But no one trusted him and stayed on guard until I saw it.

Some ash coming out of his back.

"You were the same as them." I said, lowering my sword.

The others also lowered their weapons, but no one looked as shocked as Yuko did and she asked, "How? You can actually think for yourself."

He laughed weakly before saying, "How else can I make such powerful warriors from ash so easily? Having a piece of myself in their minds made it much simpler." He started to cough and he was disintegrating faster.

"Was it all worth it? You didn't accomplish anything?" Kai asked, and Nya placed her hand on his shoulder.

Again, he laughed weakly and said, "Maybe not, but at the very least I got a good fight in the end. And that's enough for me."

Then he fell to the ground and exploded in ash, a lot more than the others and it got blown into the sky. It was finally over, and we didn't need to worry anymore. Yuko let out a long sigh and just walked away. I wanted to follow her, but Kai just shook her head.

"Let's just go home." he said, sounding really tired now.

I have never agreed with him more.
