After the fifth time, the rumbling had stopped finally. "Thank god" Kat thought, he was devastated thanks to Coop's laxative attack. He went out from the basement then went to the living room. He jumped to his bed with an exhausted state then started laying there. Millie was watching his favorite cartoon, he decided to stay there and recharge.

"Dad, I'm hanging out with Dennis in our backyard okay just so you know!"

"Alright Coop but don't go near old lady Munson's backyard alright? I do not want to hear her screaming again"

"Ugh it gives me the shivers… Of course dad i'll be careful!"

"And don't forget the thing we talked about earlier okay? I really would like you to come this time."

Coop went silent for a bit, he wanted to reject his dad's offer again but he really didn't want to start an argument so he just said "Fine we'll talk about it later, that okay?" His dad only gave a nod.

Before going outside he checked the living room to see what's up, and saw Millie and Kat chilling there. "I'm out Millie, don't bring Kat outside while i'm with Dennis please"

"Yeah yeah whatever" said a hyperfixated Millie.

Before going out, he checked on Kat one more time, poor fella was exhausted.

"Hey i gotta admit it was a good round. We're even now" said Coop, with a tiny bit of compassion but with a lot of overconfidence. Then he did something that he wouldn't have thought that he could do in a million times maybe six months ago and petted Kat.

Normally, Kat would slice his fingers into dust months ago, but because he was extremely tired and he was a bit more soft to Coop, he let that slide and allowed Coop to pet him a bit. "Mrrnaow" he said with a bit of saltiness, but enjoyed the pet a little none the less. It was weird but Coop was giving better pets than Millie, which was kinda annoying him but hey nothing he can do about it.

Dennis brought his favorite crampons that day to play football with Coop, it was his favorite time with him.

"Dude why is your face filled with red spots, are you getting sick?" said Dennis slightly worried.

"Dennis come on what's more likely to be the reason? Me getting sick or having a time of Kat's another pranking session?"

"Yeah i should've guessed. My bad" said Dennis while passing the ball to Coop.

"So, any plans for tomorrow? We still have a whole summer to plan and i was thinking maybe we could hang out at skate park."

"Well fine by me. And maybe after tomorrow we could go to Phoebe's pool party. She's been inviting us for the whole week you know."

"Ugh man come on, you know I get creeped out by her. I'm not sure if i really want to go there half naked for i fear for my safety." Said Coop while shivering.

"Besides…" Coop stopped himself for a second. He thought for a bit, should he tell it straight to Dennis or should he find another reason for his possible absence that day?

"I can not go that day. Because, well, there's a complicated situation." Said Coop finally, He decided to tell him the truth. He stopped playing with the ball, seeing that Dennis also stopped and went to his side. They sat on the ground, the atmosphere was getting a bit more serious and depressing, contrast to a beautiful summer day.

"What is it dude?" said Dennis, he was getting a bit anxious because of his friends sudden mood change.

"Well I, ugh… The thing is…" Words weren't coming out of his mouth. It was his weakest spot, he couldn't mention it normally, he was always avoiding this subject no matter what because every time he remembered, it hurt him more and more.

"Man come on, I'm getting really worried here. What is the matter? Are you okay, is it something about your or your family's health?"

"No, no. Not like that." He wanted to tell it straight, Dennis was his best friend. And he wanted to do it fast, because he was feeling that he was about to choke up.

"Dad wants to take me to my mother's… grave." As soon as he said it, he felt like sinking down to a drain, his stomach was aching now and he was getting dizzy.

"Oh… Oh dude, really?" Dennis didn't know what to say. Of course he knew about Coop's mother passing away, they sometimes talked about it now and then and even when they talked about it he remembered him getting pale and anxious. And now, visiting her grave? Coop would be devestated. He knew Coop loved his mother dearly, and even though she passed away when he was 6 and he couldn't remember her that much, he never forget his love about her. It was a far deep wound for him. Dennis wasn't sure if Coop was ready to confront her mother.

"May i ask… why? He's never brought you guys there, why does he want to take you there now?"

"I asked him that too. He said that i was ready and big enough to understand and accept the concept of death, so he wants me to remember her more… accordingly?" said Coop, then paused for a moment.

"Listen i understand him, and he has good intentions i am sure of it. But me? Being ready? I don't know Dennis, i think i'm far from being ready. I still can't think of her properly, you know?" Coop had to pause another moment. He was choking up and he could feel his eyes were tearing. Dennis put his hand on his best friend's shoulder, and gently squeezed it.

"Oh man… I mean look at me, even mentioning her makes me a mess. That's why every year on her death's anniversary, before that day i was pulling an all nighter did you know? So that i can sleep through the whole day and that way she wouldn't come on my mind."

"… and now seeing her grave? I can't…" Coop couldn't talk no more. It was his limit.
