Chapter 12: A Long Vacation pt 1
As the trio made their way to the transportation hub that Magix hosted, after packing, carrying a suitcase each they headed off to Princeton, New Jersey. When they arrived the crisp September air filled the atmosphere. Making their way to Alyssa's home, holding hands Alyssa said
"Thank you for coming here with me we can explain to my mom that the suspension was lifted after it was found that I was provoked into that storm. Say um Bloom, Flora where would you want our wedding if we get married? I vote Linphea, Flora what do you think?"
"That sounds lovely especially if we get married during the winter, the winters on Linphea are lovely they are majestic and so serene. Oh Alyssa my sister Miele will love you and you and my mother share a name."
"R...really you never spoke of your mother or sister, but I'm flattered that you think that they'll love me."
Bloom smiled as she walked with her girlfriends before saying "Alyssa, do you think that your mom will be okay with you being in a polyamorous relationship?"
"Yeah, why? She was really chill when I came out so I think she'll be okay with me dating both of you."
As the trio walked to Alyssa's home they felt a sense of tranquility and peace as they wouldn't have to deal with Stella's bullshit at Alfea until the end of Thanksgiving break. When they arrived at Alyssa's home they were greeted by Laura who pulled them all into a hug.
"Oh my precious Alyssa. I heard you were suspended is everything okay? Please tell me that the teachers aren't being too harsh on you."
"Mom everything is okay, they lifted the suspension after doing an investigation."
"That's right Laura, they lifted it and gave us several weeks off to process this and to let Alyssa recover from her coma, which I think we helped wake her from by both holding her while Tecna watched over us." Flora said smiling. "We made sure to lock up Alyssa's snacks in Bloom's room before we left so Stella cant get into them."
"Right. We're gonna be spending a few weeks here. Then we're going to Linphea for a few weeks and then Gardenia for a few weeks and then back here to spend Thanksgiving with you Laura." Bloom said smiling
"Oh how wonderful Bloom, oh Alyssa, guess who's coming home for Thanksgiving."
"James?"
"Yeah he's gonna be home for good they gave him a purple heart and he's medically discharged."
"Oh um I hope hes okay."
"He is, just he needs to use a cane from now on."
Alyssa turns to her two girlfriends "James is my older brother. He's kind and caring and means well. I think you two will like him. Oh before I forget….mom, Flora, Bloom and I are in a relationship."
"Oh that's wonderful darling you know I was thinking the other day that you three would make the best couple ever."
The trio blushed and looked at each other, before Alyssa broke the silence "Well mom, Bloom Flora and I are gonna drop off our bags and go explore for a bit. See you when we get home."
The first stop that the trio made was to this quaint little cafe that was so rustic, Alyssa ordered a pumpkin spice latte, Flora ordered a Chai tea and Bloom ordered an herbal tea. They were all having such a wonderful time smiling laughing and flirting. After the cafe they went to an arcade to have some fun, Alyssa ever the skilled arcade gamer won so many tickets that she picked out two huge stuffed bears for her girlfriends. As the sun set they went back to Alyssa's home and had a lovely home cooked meal that Laura made.
"Mmm Laura this is incredible you really can cook, this chicken is amazing and so juicy." Flora said
"Why thank you Flora, that's really thoughtful of you to say. I cant thank you and Bloom enough for looking out for Alyssa. I hope she hasn't been to much trouble."
"Oh no she hasn't been. In fact um we should tell you the exact moment I think we both fell for Alyssa. Flora why don't you go first?" Bloom said
"Of course. Well Laura you see it was Alyssa's second day at Alfea, she had a long day of classes and our dorm mate, Stella had decided to lock her out. She had already had a rough day and was still feeling shitty the temperature in the hall was clearly 0C and falling I had come out and saw her sitting out by the dorm nearly crying trying to hug herself to stay warm. I brought out two pillows and a blanket and we kinda wrapped ourselves up in it and fell asleep."
"That's kinda how it happened with me too. I felt so bad for her that she was sleeping in the hall again and well we did the same thing wrapped up and fell asleep together. But I think what really did it was when we were taking turns watching over her as she recovered. It was heart breaking to see her like that."
"I can imagine, but I'm glad they reversed the suspension you seem really happy at Alfea dear. I'm sure that James will be happy to see you."
"He's gonna be here for thanksgiving right mom?"
"Yeah he is...I hope you three saved room for dessert, I made Alyssa's favorite crème brulee. Alyssa loves this dessert."
"Thank you Laura." Bloom and Flora both said.
"You're welcome you're family now. I hope you can enjoy everything our family has to offer."
After dinner, Alyssa, Bloom and Flora spent the evening in the back yard around the fire pit. They had a wonderful evening and when the moon rose everything was so peaceful, when they got tired the trio pulled out the bed couch and fell asleep drifting to a peaceful slumber.
The next day the trio decided to head to the zoo to spend some time with the animals and just walk around. Flora was enthralled with the red pandas and the amur tigers while Bloom loved the lions and the cheetahs. For the evening activities, they went to a sorta nice restaurant that was a childhood favorite of Alyssa's.
"Flora, Bloom this is a favorite restaurant of mine, I hope you're in the mood for seafood."
"Oh that sounds lovely darling" Flora said
The trio walked in and were greeted by someone who Alyssa went to school with. "Hi welcome to red lobster, table for three?"
"Yeah Hailey, table for three. Hows school been?"
"Oh hi Alyssa, its been good, where have you been we thought you died, you know the track team is gonna start up again after the winter break we need you."
"Sorry Hailey I'm at a new school."
Hailey lead them to a table and they split the endless shrimp, after the dinner the next two weeks were uneventful and when it was time to leave for Linphea, Laura was sad but she knew that they would be back for Thanksgiving. The trio said goodbye to Laura and left to head to Linphea using magic to teleport there. This was exciting that they would soon be seeing Floras family.
