Three races left in the season, and things are getting close. We go to Homestead Miami Speedway where the championship race used to be hosted but hasn't been back as it since 2019.
SATURDAY (QUALIFYING)
Rick: As of right now, Shade is on track to get pole position, but there's a few cars who haven't gone out yet and one of them being Liberty is starting her lap currently!
#19 Radio: This lap matters for tomorrow.
Jeff: Out of the final turn, and she goes to the top! Liberty has pole at the moment, but will she have it when it's all over?
#19 Radio: Good job. P1 for now. Two cars are left.
(5 MINUTES LATER)
Claw did his lap and was only good for 2nd place. Only one person could knock Liberty off pole position, and that was Everest.
#45 Radio: Give it your best shot here Everest.
Dale Jr.: Everest is currently three hundredths down on Liberty, as she comes out of turn 2. Can she make it up in turns 3 and 4?
Rick: Out of turn 4, across the line, she's only good enough for 3rd place! Liberty has taken pole position for Homestead!

Rick: Liberty got a terrible start as she has lost the lead to Claw as they enter turn 1!
#23 Radio: You're clear of the #19.
Jeff: They now dive into turn 3, Liberty goes to the inside of Claw, and they are now side by side for the race lead off of turn 4!
LAP 3/267 Leader: Claw
The pair of Toyotas would remain side by side for almost three laps straight.
Jeff: Claw has a better run on the outside and he might get clear off of turn 4! #23 Radio: Take it. You'll be clear of the #19.
LAP 4/267 Leader: Liberty
Dale Jr.: Claw finally gets clear of Liberty and the Dachshund has to tuck behind the #23.
#19 Radio: Don't let that #6 take your focus. Try and go for the lead.
"I'm trying. The short run sucks already!" Liberty said.

#19 Radio: You're closer. Try the inside again. Rick: Liberty goes into turn 3, and gets back alongside Claw as they exit turn 4!
#23 Radio: #19 is alongside you.
"I know!" Claw shouted.

Jeff: She's gonna send it into turn 1! Does she have enough speed to clear Claw off of turn 2? Yes she does! Liberty takes back the lead at Homestead!
#19 Radio: Nice job. #23 is now being pressured by the #6 and #24.
LAP 17/267 Leader: Liberty
Claw was falling back like a rock and was already down to 7th place. Meanwhile, Shade was being challenged for second by Arrby.
#24 Radio: Don't waste time with her.
Rick: Arrby runs the middle, Shade runs the top, and Arrby takes second away!
#24 Radio: Go get that #19 now.
"Yes sir." Arrby replied.
LAP 20/267 Leader: Liberty
Three laps later, Arrby was right on the bumper of the #19 for the lead. His car was that good.
Dale Jr.: Arrby will drive it deep into turn 3, and Liberty can't get the momentum on the outside! New leader, the #24!
#24 Radio: Drive away now.
"You got it, sir!" Arrby exclaimed.

Shade and Ryder would get by Liberty, making her fall to 4th place, and green flag pit stops were about to begin.
#6 Radio: In this lap.
"Heard ya." Shade replied as she slowed the car down in turn 3
Rick: We see Shade coming to pit road, with Ryder, Liberty, and others coming behind!
Dale Jr.: Arrby stays out for now, but you would think he would come next time by!
Jeff: Shade says she needs more speed for the short run, but the long run feels phenomenal at the moment. 4 tires and she's away, ahead of Ryder!

LAP 33/267 Leader: Arrby
#24 Radio: Pitting this time.
Dale Jr.: The #24 comes to pit road, says the car feels fine, and he's away with 4 new tires.
Rick: And Shade has taken the lead away! Pitting one lap sooner has paid off for the feline and now leads at Homestead!
#6 Radio: #24 has fallen to 3rd. You'll be battling the #5 now.
"Copy." Shade replied.
LAP 41/267 Leader: Marshall
Marshall had been staying out for 9 laps ever since green flag pit stops started, and it was a wonder to others as to why he hadn't pitted yet.
"Why hasn't he come in yet?" Cinder thought to herself.
#11 Radio: You have to pit now Marshall!
"Alright I'm coming." The Dalmatian replied as he slowed his car down in turn 4.
Rick: Marshall finally makes his pit stop from the lead. Shade is now the leader of the race. 4 new tires and he's all the way down to 14th!
#11 Radio: Pick these guys off one by one.
LAP 54/267 Leader: Shade
#5 Radio: We've waited long enough. Go for it.
Jeff: Across the line the leaders come! Ryder goes to the inside of Shade! Can he get clear of Shade, no he can't, but they are side by side down the backstretch!
#6 Radio: Keep running your lane Shade.
Dale Jr.: Ryder dives it into turn 3, and he's gonna slide up in front of Shade barely, and takes the lead at Homestead!
#5 Radio: Nice work. 26 to go in the stage.
"Alright. 10-4." Ryder replied.
LAP 77/267 Leader: Ryder
Rick: We got a car spinning off of turn 2! Wheeler has gone around after he hit the wall, and the caution comes out for the first time today!
CAUTION
#47 Radio: The damage is not unfixable, but it's gonna take a while. "Sorry guys. That's all on me." Wheeler sadly replied
LAP 81/267 Leader: Ryder
Dale Jr.: With the caution coming out, that'll end stage 1, and Ryder, who has already locked himself in the Championship 4, will win stage 1.
#5 Radio: Good start Ryder. Next stage.
"Alright. Pit stops are up team. Let's go." Ryder said.
Rick: Everyone is now on pit road, taking 4 tires and making adjustments for stage 2.
Jeff: No change up front with Ryder winning the race off pit road with Shade, Arrby, Liberty, and Ella right behind!

Rick: Stage 2 is underway, Shade got a good start, and she dives into turn 1! Trying to get the lead away, but Ryder takes it back and clears the #6!
#6 Radio: Good try Shade. Try to stay with him.
"Yeah, wish I pushed it more." Shade said.

#5 Radio: Come this time Ryder.
Rick: Now we see the leader making his green flag pit stop. Ella and Arrby follow behind. Shade stays out for this lap!
Dale Jr.: Skye and others follow them into the pits and everyone is getting 4 tires and fuel! Jeff: Once again, no problem for the #5 team and they're away!

#6 Radio: Pit this time. We're gonna lose tires.
"Didn't think he'd pit that early. Sorry guys." Shade said as she came to pit road.
Rick: Shade comes to pit road. It's a good pit stop, but the advantage of stopping one lap sooner has shown that.
Dale Jr.: The gap was 2.7 seconds before they started, and now it's almost six seconds. That's got to be brutal for Shade.

#11 Radio: Pit this time Marshall. "Alright. Trust me, the tires will come back to us." Marshall said as he slowed his car down.
Jeff: He's doing his strategy of betting that this race will go green the entire way. He'll be deep in the midfield, but can this pay off for Marshall?
LAP 134/267 Leader: Ryder Ella had actually been hunting down Shade ever since green flag pit stops had concluded.
#12 Radio: Push hard and pass her.
Rick: Ella on the inside, takes second place away, now can she make up some of the time on Ryder? "Yes!" Ella exclaimed.
#12 Radio: Gap to the #5 is 5.6 seconds. Let's see what you can do.

Rick: Jeff, the gap has gone down significantly these past few laps. It was around 5 seconds, but now it's only two seconds.
Jeff: We're seeing his car is loose in the corners, and Ella and Arrby have been closing in fast.
"This car is wicked loose! I don't know what you did for the long run, but it's not working!" Ryder said.
#5 Radio: Just try and hold on to the end of the stage here.
#12 Radio: #5 might have an issue. He's battling with looseness.

Dale Jr.: Marshall has been closing in fast on Liberty and Everest- HE GOT HIM BOTH!
Rick: He got the #45 off of turn 2, and the #19 going into turn 3! This #11 looks dangerous right now!

Dale Jr.: Ryder slid up in turn 3! Here comes Ella! Side by side off of turn 4! 3 laps to go in stage 2!

Ryder had dropped to 3rd after struggling with his car, and it let Arrby get 2nd, and allowed Ella to drive away with the stage win.

Rick: Ryder's struggle was Ella's blessing and as she comes out of turn 4, she will win stage 2!

#12 Radio: Excellent work.
"Thanks guys. Let's finish this race." Ella said to her crew.
Things weren't going well for other playoff drivers as Skye finished 21st and Rory finished 26th.
"You guys better make some big adjustments to this car or we're in deep trouble!" Skye shouted in frustration.
#20 Radio: We will do what we can for this final stage.

Rick: Now we see all the lead lap cars coming to pit road.
Jeff: Ella says he just needs to be tighter for the short run and she maintains the lead off pit road! Liberty has a slow pit stop! And she's lost several places!

Dale Jr.: Ella will not quit! Runs the inside again! She slides up! Nearly puts Arrby in the wall, but he's still there! They are still side by side!

Jeff: The inside paying dividends for Ella as she finally gets clear of Arrby out of turn 4! That was great racing!

Jeff: Liberty has been driving mad right now ever since the pit stop hiccup. She's up to 7th, challenging Harold Humdinger for 6th.

Several cars had started making their final green flag pit stops and the leader was ready to come in.

"Coming this time." Ella said, slowing her car down.

Dale Jr.: Ryder with a lot of speed coming behind her- OH HE HIT THE SAND BARRELS! RYDER HAS DESTROYED THE RIGHT FRONT OF HIS CAR AND HE HIT ELLA! HOW MUCH DAMAGE IS ON HER CAR?!

"I am so stupid…" Ryder said, as he pulled into his pit stall.
#5 Radio: We'll push it to the garage.
"Ryder just hit me! I think I have damage!" Ella said with worry.

RED FLAG
The red flag would actually come out due to the mess on pit road. Marshall would be the leader because he had not made his pit stop yet.
Dale Jr.: Let's dial up the current leader. Hey Marshall, this Dale, Jeff, and Rick in the NBC booth, do you copy?
"Yep. Gotcha here Dale." Marshall replied.
Dale Jr.: So what do you think it's gonna take to beat this #12 car here?
"Yeah, Ella's car has been really good all day, but we're up there as well. When I hit the wall, I don't think I damaged the car at all, but I trust my crew that they're gonna make the right adjustments and we're gonna leave here with the win." The Dalmatian answered.
Dale Jr.: Thank you for your time Marshall and good luck the rest of the race.
"Appreciate it." Marshall said as the connection disconnected.

Rick: So everyone who hasn't pitted yet will now come in. Ella will retake the lead of the race as she stays out.
Jeff: Marshall says the car needs to be a little tighter as it's a drag race between him and Arrby and Marshall barely stays ahead!
Dale Jr.: Zuma, Wildcat, and Skye are now up here! We got some new players late in this race!
"How are the points currently?" Marshall asked.
#11 Radio: You are 16 points ahead of the #20 who is 6th, 18 ahead of the #19 who's in 18th. If we finish here, we'll look good going into Martinsville.
"Hey, you got this Marshall! Just do what you do best!" Cinder cheered.

Dale Jr: Now, there's smoke coming out of the #19! Liberty is blowing up under caution! It's a JGR diasterclass!
#19 Radio: Liberty, your car is smoking in the back.
"Engine just blew up! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! "NOOOOOOOOOOO!" Liberty shouted in rage. Marshall pulled into his pit stall and climbed out of his car. The rage in his eyes turned into tears forming in his eyes when he exited his car and climbed over the pit wall. Cinder caught up to Marshall who was walking back to his hauler.
"Marshall-" Cinder began to speak, but wouldn't get a chance. Marshall ran back to his hauler, not wanting to talk to anyone.
Meanwhile, Liberty had climbed out of her car, and chucked her helmet at her pit box, rightfully mad.
"I'm so done with this team!" Liberty shouted before storming off.
"Where does that put us in points?" Ella inquired.
#12 Radio: As of right now, you are 11 points ahead of the #45. Both the #11 and #19 are 17 behind.

#20 Radio: Skye, the #11 and the #19 are both out. Both look like mechanical and engine failure.
"Crap." Skye said to herself.

Rick: Everyone is now making their final pit stop, and Skye had a slow exit! Arrby takes the lead away and Ella goes to 2nd!
"Guess I'll have to do this myself…" Skye growled to herself.
#24 Radio: 25 to go at the line, and the steal is complete Arrby.
"Yes, sir!" Arrby exclaimed happily.

Rick: 25 to go at Homestead! Ella hanging on the outside! Jeff; Down the backstretch, and now into turn 3! Neither one wants to give it up!
Dale Jr.: Still side by side on the frontstretch! Ella leads that lap!

LAP 262/267 Leader: Skye Arrby had lost second place to Ella and Everest was now challenging Arrby for 3rd.
Rick: Everest now gets ahead of Arrby! His car is not handling well right now. He'll be happy that this race is almost over.
"Where are we in points right now?" Everest asked her team.

Dale Jr.: Ella doesn't seem to be closing that gap as it stands at 1.2 seconds.

Skye would do her burnouts as the sun would set behind her. She climbed out of her pink Toyota Camry the happiest she had been all season.
Reporter: Skye does her signature backflip off the roof of her car! She collects her second win of the season and it's the one that locks her in the Championship 4! Skye I must ask, how does it feel to come back after looking to be down and out?
"Oh my God, this car was a nightmare to drive. It was horrible on the long runs, but my team despite a few hiccups made the right adjustments, and we were up there when it mattered the most, got the perfect car for the end, and we're heading to Phoenix!" Skye exclaimed.
