Chapter 142 (Daily)
The following day, Sayuri gave a loud whistle catching the attention of the wrestlers in her gym. She gathered them up in a circle for her announcement. During the meeting, Queen Bee and Eris gave each other intense glares which ended with Eris blowing kisses and Bee silently patting her butt in her direction.
"All right, everyone." Sayuri said. "As you are aware, our next pay-per-view is coming up this weekend. Before we get into things, there's something I have to announce. We've had a bit of an issue with the match card until last night. I'm sure that some of you know of the recent start of Ms. X's new wrestling promotion, Girmov."
"Oh, we saw it all right." Willow scoffed with a chuckle. "Zat little girl really screwed the pooch."
"Betting to expose her own behind if she lost?" the Skunk asked. "She's got more guts than I gave her credit for."
"Actually, Ms. X informed me that it's not really going to happen." Sayuri assured. "Anyway, she and I talked and came up with a compromise. At Dynamix, I will include matches that involve her wrestlers as well."
"What?" Carly X asked. "You want us to go against my mom's wrestlers."
"Not most of them, I assure you. Some of her women will be facing each other, but there is one match between one of our girls and hers. Viper, you'll be representing us in the opening match."
Viper grinned and shrugged. "Fine by me. Just another case to show off my skill. Who's my opponent?"
"That's the funny thing. Your opponent is going to be… X."
Viper's smile dropped and her mouth opened slightly. "I'm sorry?"
"You want my mom and Viper Takagi to kick off Dynamix?" Carly asked with a raised tone. "Isn't that kind of a mismatch?"
"I know you're worried about your mother, but you shouldn't be so quick to judge." Sayuri said. "She may be a corporate head, but she works out and, as her assistant told me, she's got the body of an amazon."
"So what?" Viper asked. "I'm the Japanese Amazon. You really think I'm gonna have a hard time against a paper pusher just because she has a Crossfit body?"
"I never said that, Viper." Sayuri said. "But you should know that Ms. X does have some advanced techniques even though she doesn't have a lot of in-ring experience."
Viper crossed her arms and muttered silently, "We'll see about that."
Sayuri continued on with her announcement. "Some other matches include the two members of the tag team, Candy Pair, against the members of Queen Payne in separate singles matches with Milk facing Payne Fox and Mint facing Queen Elizabeth."
"Wait. Liz is fighting in this too?" Queen Bee asked. "Oh, you know there's going to be a scene if she and I bump into each other."
"I'll keep that in mind." Sayuri said. "Anyway, the last planned match with Girmov is between their ace, Springer, and the world-renowned Mother Devil."
Silence fell on the room. Everyone stared quietly at their boss for a time trying to process what she said.
"Wait, what?" Kaito asked.
"That rookie going against one of the strongest female pro wrestlers in the world?" Jasper Jones asked.
"And I thought my match was going to be one-sided." Viper said.
"I know all of you have shocked reactions upon hearing that." Sayuri said. "Believe me, I did too. But that was one of the conditions for this. Another condition would be that the Springer vs Mother Devil match would become the main event of Dynamix and…"
"WHAT?!" Queen Bee shouted in sudden anger. "Hold on! Wait! No! I did NOT hear that right! That can't be the main event! The main event's supposed to be me and Eris in our championship match!"
"I know. Believe me, it wasn't an easy decision." Sayuri said. "But Ms. X wanted as much publicity as she can, so she insisted that we put Springer and Mother Devil's match after your own."
"But that's just not fair!" Queen Bee continued to yell. "I'm the ace of Xtrema and the world champion! I actually have to get shown up by a kid who's had only two matches in her whole career? What even makes her an ace who deserves a match against someone as strong as Mother Devil? Like I said, she's only been in two matches, and she wasn't involved with their results at all!"
"Your ranting has been noted, Ms. Bee, but unfortunately, my hands are tied." Sayuri said.
Queen Bee lowered her head and muttered angrily to herself while Kaito tried to calm her down. Eris watched Queen Bee from across the crowd and gave a slight smirk.
"So what about the rest of the matches?" Scarlette asked. "I've been counting, and as far as I'm concerned, there are still two slots left."
"We're currently taking care of one, but we are asking for volunteers to fill in the last one right now." Sayuri said. "Since we are having Ms. X get involved with Dynamix, it's only fair that I do the same."
"Wait." Zelda said. "You mean…"
"That's right. I'm getting in the ring. All I need now is a volunteer. Who wants a shot at me?"
"I do!"
All the other wrestlers turned their heads at who spoke. Much to their surprise, there were two people who volunteered at the same time. It was Thunder Mana and Carly X, who looked at each other in surprise.
"You want to go against Sayuri Rogue?" Thunder Mana asked. "Carly, I know you're strong, but…"
"No buts, please." Carly said. "My mom's in the pay-per-view, and if she's competing, I at least want her to know that I'll be too."
"Aw, how sweet." Sayuri said. "Thunder Mana, what's your argument?"
"All the divas in GWM think I don't have what it takes anymore. I've seen their social media posts say that the only reason I denied the chance to rejoin them at Olympia was because I knew I didn't have it in me anymore. This is my chance to prove them wrong."
"Hmm. I see." Sayuri said. "I gotta say, you both have very strong arguments."
"So what'll it be, Ms. Rogue?" Carly asked. "Do you want to go against me or Thunder Mana?"
Sayuri thought for a moment rubbing her chin. She stopped and displayed an enthusiastic smile. "I know. Why not both?"
Mana and Carly shared a shocked expression. "What?"
"That's right." Sayuri said. "I can see it now. Sayuri Rogue, Thunder Mana, and Carly X facing off in a triple threat match. Fans will eat it up."
"You want us to fight each other as well as you?" Carly X asked.
"I understand it's a bit controversial considering you're both a tag team," Sayuri said, "But I don't think you have anything to worry about. A lot of wrestling companies have a lot of matches between two friends. The important thing is to not let it affect your dynamic. I mean, you respect each other's wrestling abilities, don't you?"
Mana and Carly looked at each other and gave each other a smile. They then returned their smiles toward their boss.
"All right. I'm all in." Mana said.
"Me too." Carly said.
"Excellent." Sayuri said. "Well, that's about all the business we have for now. Sam Hamilton, if you don't mind, I'd like a talk with you right now. The rest of you get on back to your business."
The Xtrema wrestlers understood and returned to their work-outs. Meanwhile, Sam stepped up to approach Sayuri.
"Is something up, ma'am? I'm not in trouble, right?"
"Hopefully not." Sayuri said. "You remember that last slot on the match card I said we were taking care of? Well, we'd like you to compete in it?"
Sam's face lit up. "Really?"
"Don't get too excited now. There's a catch." Sayuri said. "Mr. Hashimoto?"
"Yes, ma'am." Ryuji said. "In order to compete, Ms. Hamilton, two conditions have to be met. #1: you face against Fenix Malvada in a singles match."
"Oh. Well, that's perfectly doable." Sam said. "I just hope she doesn't walk out on me like she did that Kaito guy. What's the other condition?"
"That's the complicated part." Ryuji reached into his pocket and pulled out the Black Swan mask which he offered to Sam. "You have to dress and wrestle as Black Swan."
"I beg your pardon?" Sam asked staring at the mask.
"I admit, it's unorthodox," Sayuri said, "But Fenix wants a match against Black Swan as a means of overcoming her own inner struggles or something like that. She believes a match against her old persona will do that, and since you're good at impersonating other wrestlers…"
Sam looked at the mask again considering what to do. She took the mask from Ryuji's hand and examined it. She let out a sigh and answered.
"Okay. I don't normally do requested costumes other than my match against Alex at Xtrema Against the World, but I'll certainly do my best to wear Fenix's old costume. And who knows? Maybe I'll be a better Black Swan than she was." Sam chuckled.
"Keep up that attitude." Sayuri said.
Meanwhile, Queen Bee was so upset, she headed straight for the sandbags and began punching them. Kaito stood on the other side of the one she was striking to keep it in place. He looked over in concern for his girlfriend.
"Dawn, I'm sorry your main event spot was switched over." Kaito said.
Dawn sighed unable to calm down her anger. "It's just not fair. It's my championship on the line, and it's a highly-anticipated match up. So why on Earth would I be moved over for a little rookie who's going to be steamrolled by a giant and possibly forced to expose her buttocks?"
"Uh, Ms. Rogue told us that's not really going to happen."
"Not the point, Kaito." Bee retorted with a very hard jab. "Seriously? What did that brat ever do to be in this position?"
"Maybe she's got some kind of hidden potential or something." Kaito said. He looked around and spotted Viper Takagi passing by. "Hey, Viper, you wrestled alongside Springer before, back when she was Spring Tiger. What did you think of her performance?"
Viper rolled her eyes. "Don't remind me. Look, she and I weren't exactly close during Fukuwara Mask's charity. We just agreed to work together and that's that."
"But…" Kaito said.
Viper sighed. "Look, from what I can tell, the kid's strong, but, well… Let's just say 'rough around the edges' is a bit of an understatement. I worked with her, and even I don't see her beating Mother Devil anytime soon." With that being said, she turned and walked away.
"Not exactly making me feel better." Bee said continuing to punch the bag.
Watching her from nearby, Eris chuckled at the sight of Queen Bee's predicament. She gave an evil grin started plotting.
"So the queen's got an emotional weakness as well as a physical one. This just gets better and better."
*Xtrema Shorts*
Monica Everly arrived onset in her Chibi form as she waved to the crowd. Sitting right next to her was Sam Hamilton, who was also in her Chibi form. After the crowd stopped cheering, Chibi Monica finally spoke.
"Welcome, everyone, to Xtrema Shorts, where we have a chat with our wrestling characters and ask them questions about their wrestling careers. Here with me is none other than the wrestling cosplayer herself, Sam Hamilton. Welcome back to the show, Sam."
"Thanks for having me again." Sam said. "Give me your best questions and I'll answer as much as I can."
"Very well. As usual, we'll begin with the four standard questions followed by personal questions asked by the fans, mainly Awesome ax10. Now, for the first question… Who was your debut opponent?"
"Well, as you recall, I was in the Newcomers' Battle Royal, where I debuted in my Moana costume. I thought it was quite a mark. Too bad that judgmental jerk, Zelda, didn't think the same. She singled me out for most of her time in that match. Thankfully, I didn't have to deal with her forever."
"What's it like facing Kaito Marx?"
"Well, I've never faced him in an official match or in a sparring session. Though, I do admit I'm curious what he's like when I'm actually facing him."
"What do you think of Sayuri Rogue?"
"Pretty cool boss. Glad she gave me the right to wear my costumes."
"Who's the easiest opponent you've faced other than Kaito?"
"Hmm… Well, I wouldn't say it was the easiest, but I personally enjoyed my match against Electra Sinders. It was pretty hilarious to see her reaction to my Sakura Hagiwara costume. I guess it was the easiest at making me laugh."
"All right then. Now, to get to the personal questions. How do you feel after seeing your sister in Hardkor?"
"Honestly, I'm a little concerned, both for myself and for Sarah. She's always had a bit of a mean streak, and clearly, she's dangerous, which makes sense considering where she is now. I just hope she doesn't get killed in the process. And I certainly hope she doesn't go after me."
"After your XAW match, did you read Alex's comic?
"Yeah. I gotta say, the girl's got talent. Me and Claude wouldn't stop talking about it all night. I liked the story, he liked the style. It just works."
"Will you ever do a mirror match? If yes, who are you thinking of copying?"
"Actually, if you recall, I did do a mirror match against Zelda Logan at Supernova. And I used her own finishing move to make her apologize for getting on my case about my cosplay."
"Well, that's about all the questions we have right now. Thanks for reading, ladies and gentlemen. Remember, if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Coming up next is the press conference where we will finalize the Dynamix matches, so don't start predicting just yet.
