Sookie's POV:

Seeing Eric during the daylight was the probably one the best highlights of my life, well besides giving birth to my children.

Yes, giving birth to my children.

Besides being able to walk in daylight, there were many other wonderful changes to Eric's physical form. He had a working dietary system and was able to consume food and other drinks. Though he ate from time to time (his favourite was Taco Tuesdays), he mainly stuck with a blood diet (his personal preference). We also found out in the most surprising way that his once dead sperm had been 'rejuvenated'.

It was after our church wedding, which took place about eight months after his return in Bon Temps, that I started feeling strange symptoms. Feeling alarmed, I made an appointment with Dr. Ludwig right away. It was she, who found out what was wrong with me. I was three weeks pregnant. Of course, we were all shocked. Infidelity had been ruled out by us right away, which was a great relief for me. I was glad that Eric had believed me right away, but we were still baffled by this wondrous unexpected occurrence. After running dozens of tests on me, Dr. Ludwig decided to check Eric. A week later, we were given the news that he now had a high 'living' sperm count.

We were overjoyed at the prospect of becoming parents.

But sadly, it was not meant to be. I miscarried about three months later.

After months of depression, which I would not have been able to get through without Eric, we decided to try again for another child.

Ten months after I miscarried, I was pregnant again. We took all the necessary precautions and I gave birth to twins, twelve months later. YES, twelve months later. It seemed my Fae heritage had also affected my gestational period and that I would carry babies in my womb for as long as a female Faery would.

We named the twin boys, Axel and Adam. Both were born with a full head of blonde curly hair and blue eyes. Eric was a doting father. Though I breastfed our babies, I could always depend on him to change and burp our boys whenever they needed him. He seemed to always have a sleeping infant on his chest during the first couple years of their life.

Eric had decided to step away from vampire politics and be a full-time father. He did, however, remain a consultant to Pam. He would help her from time to time with any squabbles within Nevada and Louisiana.

Two years after the twins were born, I was pregnant for the third time. And again, twelve months later I gave birth to one child, a boy we named Erik.

After living happily and raising our boys in Louisiana and in Hawaii, I found out I was pregnant again when Erik was five years old. We chose to remain in Hawaii for the duration of the pregnancy and twelve months later I gave birth to our first daughter. We named her Susannah.

I was currently breastfeeding our three-month-old daughter while sitting here on the beach in Hawaii, tucked safely underneath a sun umbrella.

"Momma!", my son Erik yells out happily as he waves at me. He was currently playing with his scoop and bucket on the shoreline. I grin and give him a big wave.

My daughter giggles in my arms and smiles as she looks up at me.

"Hello Susannah," I coo at her. She had my smile, but the rest of her facial features were a blend of Eric and I.

I watch as Eric plays with our rambunctious twin boys in the water. Eric and the twin boys had developed what I could describe a surfers' tan. They spent most days out on the ocean riding the waves at dawn. The twins loved Eric and were always with him. They looked up to him in every way and always tried their best to make Eric proud, even though Eric was always proud of his children no matter what they did.

I smile and watch my husband and children. Never had I imagined my life to turn out this way. I think back to the long heartbreaking journey I took to get to this point. Now I was determined to protect my life and the lives of my children. I knew Eric felt the same way.

As long as we had each other, we would always be okay.

AN: So this is it! I do have ideas and potential stories for a continuation in Sookies and Erics story along with their children. I will wait and see. It's tough writing stories or anything. I may come up with a new story soon or later on.
