"My my, it seems that Rumia was right. You are a weird human." The woman looks closer at me before glancing at the blond girl on the ground. "My name is Yukari Yakumo, and you are?"
This was a change of pace… I looked at the blond girl on the ground, breathing softly. "My name is Jacob. Jacob Chiba, nice to meet you, Yakumo."
"Such a respectful young man, but you can call me Yukari. I'll take Rumia off your hands and drop you off at our local Shrine Maiden. I'm sure she would be happy to see you."
I looked over to where the blond girl's body was and saw a red poodle but no blood. I tried to say something to Yukari before a portal with red eyes opened up below me. I saw the uncanny smile from the woman.
"He.." I heard faint muttering as I tried to make sense of what happened. I am sure I grunted as I tried to get up from the soft material on my back.
"Hey, looks like our guest is finally starting to wake up," a voice I hadn't heard before running out of the room.
I quickly get up and look around to see I am inside an eastern house. I sat up from the futon to see I was in a barren room with nothing outside of just the futon I was lying on.
"Finally, I thought Yukari did something to him." I heard a voice outside the room.
The door revealed a young woman wearing a red and white Miko outfit with detached sleeves, leaving her shoulders uncovered. She had dark red eyes and brown hair and wore a sizeable red ribbon in her hair. She had a stick in her hand that was gohei. I could sense power in that item she held in her hand.
"You're an outsider. I see you've finally awake, but before you say anything else, I know you have questions. You're not the first outsider I've spoken to, but first, come with me to the living room." the young girl said before leaving.
I quickly followed her out of the room and walked into the living room to see a girl… no, an oni?
The young girl had brown eyes. Has long ginger hair, tied with a chain with a blue cube on the end. Has two horns coming out, decorated with red and purple ribbons. Wears a tattered white singlet and a long purple skirt. Has chains on both wrists on a red pyramid and a yellow sphere. And a belt on her waist.
I could tell she was a powerful cursed spirit that could kill me before I had the chance to run.
"Can you stop looking at me like that? I won't kill you here. So put that predatory gaze away." the girl with the horns said.
I fixed my gaze and sat at the living room table.
"I'll go make some tea, and then we can discuss any question you may have." the young woman left for the kitchen attached to the living room.
I sat there, occasionally glancing at the young girl across from me, drinking from a gourd. The scent was familiar coming from her… Wait! Is she drink alcohol? Yep, that was sake coming from her. I know that smell more than anyone.
"You ask me who my name is, you know? I am sure this is a lot to take in." the oni girl said, taking another drink of her sake.
I took a breath. This shouldn't be surprising. I fight cursed spirits and other sorcerers as living for most of my life. "My name is Jacob. Jacob Chiba and you are?"
The girl huffed and smirked a toothy grin. "My name is Suika Ibuki. Nice to meet you. Do you want a drink?" Suika offered me her gourd of sake.
"Thanks," I gratefully accepted. I needed a drink, after all. I drank a mouthful of sake and gave it back to Suika. The liquid burned in my chest as a girl in front of me smirked.
"Don't tell me you started drinking alcohol," the woman came back with tea. "You won't be able to think straight if you do that." she put the tea in front of me and sat by the table.
"I'll be okay. I needed some alcohol to wake up fully."
"Okay, I know you have questions, but before that, my name is Reimu Hakurei."
