Ben's small threat made the mages flinch because a threat from someone of Ben's caliber sounds different. Also, it can be interpreted he will get serious and probably start using his magic that hasn't been used in this event.
They were right. Ben will start using his magic to make this more entertaining. He only used his physical strength so far, but he always planned to end this event with magic. Besides, physical strength alone won't be enough to defeat these elite mages.
Ben extended his arms to the side and performed a grabbing motion. The mages are getting ready to face whatever Ben will do now. They don't know what Ben will do because even the Fairy Tail mages never saw Ben perform this motion.
"Almighty Pull!" Ben chants as his hands were covered in a dark purple aura.
The mages suddenly feel their bodies being pulled by an invisible force. They try to resist it, but no one had the power to completely resist the pull. The most they can do is slow the pull down by a few seconds before they all finally fly towards Ben.
All the mages are flying towards Ben at a rather high speed. When they get rather close, Ben raised his left leg before slamming it to the ground along with throwing his hands down. Right when he did that, the flying mages were suddenly thrown hard onto the ground.
Ben wasn't done yet as he covered his right hand with a ball of dark purple energy. He crouched down and then punched the ground with his right fist. The punch created a strong impact and the ground vibrated.
The vibrations spread throughout the ground with Ben as the center. Then the ground starts exploding in circles as the vibrations move away from Ben. The mages were hit by the explosions and sent flying by them.
This attack alone had taken out half of the elite mages. Ben's attack was really strong even though his sisters were among the mages. This is a battle and his sisters are ready to face him seriously like everyone else, so he treated them as real opponents right now.
Besides, they're strong enough to handle this kind of attack and they proved it by not being eliminated by this attack. They knew what Ben was capable of the best and they're prepared themselves to face things even worse than this.
Ben raised his right hand and taunted the remaining mages with it. "Come on! We've just gotten started."
The mages grit their teeth before they move to attack Ben. Those with strong long range spells attack him from the back while those with shorter-range spell move forward to attack Ben from a close distance.
Ben grinned before he covered his left hand with black solar energy. He is using his Sun God Slayer Magic which he rarely showed to the public. Then he swiped his left hand horizontally around him and made a circle.
A circle of black solar energy appears and it moved away from Ben while getting bigger and bigger. The circle of black solar energy hit the incoming spells and destroyed them. It wasn't destroyed though and kept moving towards the mages.
The mages do their best to evade it by either laying on the ground or jumping very high into the air. Some people try to block it, but it was a huge mistake because none of them had the power to defend themselves from that. They were blasted and instantly defeated by the circle of black solar energy.
"So that's God Slayer Magic's true potential." Orga said with a stunned expression.
"Will I be able to reach that level one day?" Sherria asked in wonder.
Ben took out some of the remaining mages and now only 43 were left. That's still a rather high number, so Ben reduced it again. He put his palms on the ground and covered them with dark red solar energy.
"Sun Devil World: Surfacing Hell!" Ben chants before the dark red solar energy on his hands spread out everywhere.
The dark red solar energy is spread out at a high speed and the mages try to protect themselves as best as they can. This spell is not as strong as the previous one, but it had a much wider range and size, making it very difficult to evade because it spread out everywhere and it's very high like a tsunami of fire.
All the remaining mages were engulfed by the dark red solar energy for quite some time until Ben dispelled it. In the end, some mages were still conscious even though they were injured. Ben is satisfied because it meant they were still people strong enough to face such a powerful attack.
Of the eight teams, Orochi's Fin and Scarmiglione had been wiped out completely. Quatro Cerberus only had Bacchus left, Blue Pegasus only had Ichiya and Mermaid Heel only has Kagura. Lamia Scale still had Jura, Lyon and Sherria. Sabertooth still has Minerva, Orga and Sting.
The Fairy Tail team was still complete because they flew high up into the air to avoid the previous attack. Also, there are still some mages from their guild that aren't part of the team. Laxus, Erza, Freed, Cana, Elfman, Natsu, Gajeel, Gray and Juvia are still there.
The other 4 Wizard Saints are also still there, so all 5 competing Wizard Saints including Jura are still in the event. That means there are 27 opponents for Ben to fight. If Mira and Gildarts were present, it would be 29, but Mira wasn't interested in competing and Gildarts is still on a journey.
This result is good enough for Ben because he was sure his previous attack would take out all of them if they did this last year. That meant they had grown a lot in one year, so his program is working really well. This means they're more prepared to face incoming danger.
"Alright, show me what you got!" Ben exclaimed with a smirk.
The remaining 27 mages immediately made their move. They can't waste any time because if they stop for even a moment, Ben will use that moment to attack them and they will be wiped out completely. Their only chance is by attacking first even though they won't have good teamwork.
Everyone is going all out and using their strongest attacks. Laxus even accessed Dragon Force which he rarely used even in dire situations. He flashed towards Ben and reached his position ahead of everyone else.
Laxus threw a full-powered punch of lightning at Ben who grinned and countered his lightning coated punch with a flaming punch. Their punches clash and generate a strong shock wave. The ground even shakes, showing just how strong their attacks were.
"You've improved Laxus, but it's still not enough." Ben said as he pushed Laxus back.
Laxus was sent flying at high speed and slid across the broken ground. The 5 Wizard Saints arrived after Laxus and then attack Ben from 5 different sides. Jura used his Earth Magic and Jessica used her Plant Magic to snag Ben's body to stop his movements so that the five of them will be able to hit him.
The five Wizard Saints use their strongest spells to attack Ben at a very close distance. Jura and Jessica kept surrounding Ben using their Earth and Plant Magic that they'll blow up later. Ellie is using her strongest Cut Magic spell.
Then the other 2 new Wizard Saints, Fabian and Elrich are using their strongest spells too. Fabian generated a massive energy sword above Ben using his Blade Magic while Elrich creates 6 basic elemental balls around Ben that will produce a massive explosion.
Ben just grinned as they execute their spells. Ellie's Cut Magic and Fabian's Blade Magic hit his body directly. Then Jura's Earth Magic, Jessica's Plant Magic and Elrich's Elemental Magic explode at the same time. An enormous explosion that even pushed all the other mages there including the 5 of them and shook the city and mountains violently went off.
The spectators were left speechless with this scene and so were the other mages in the arena. This is the power of Wizard Saints who can shake this continent. An explosion of this magnitude would kill most mages on the continent, but Ben is not like most mages.
"Did we get him?" Fabian asked.
"You wish." Ben scoffed from inside the smoke produced by the explosion.
Everyone's eyes widened as Ben appeared again. He just stood there calmly without any injuries or sign of damage. His body was covered in golden solar energy that must've protected them from the Wizard Saint's attacks.
Ben looked at the Wizard Saints with a gaze that made them shiver and he grinned while saying, "It seems I need to increase your training. This isn't enough to face the Spriggan 12."
