In a lavish room filled with all kinds of luxury goods from all over the world with a main prevalence of red, gold and ebony colours, two women are currently present inside.
One is sit behind a big desk made of ebony. Her elbows on said desks with her hand together looking intensely at the other person inside the room. If we compare the power of the various Pantheons to Human countries, then the current power of God would be like facing the entire American continent united in body, mind, spirit and purpose, and this even after more than half a century of secularization of Human society. The only Pantheons that currently can even remotely stand their ground against him are the Hindu and the Shinto ones, and by that I mean that they would be able to last a whole single minute before being annihilated. Maybe the Chinese one too would have been able to do something, but more than half a century of Communism have greatly reduced their power, even if there are slowly regaining their strength. And let us not talk about the West. The Greek-Roman, the Celtic, The Nordic and the Egyptian Pantheons survive only thanks to ancient literature and the belief they have gained thanks to popular media. In this category there is also the Sumerian/Babylonian Pantheon that can be put in this situation. The rest of the Middle East, African and meso-American ones plus all the numerous lesser Pantheons from the various indigenous communities are barely surviving and are powerless against him. Even my own colleagues in the Syrina Pantheon are nothing more than shadows of their former selves. They are planning to make a massive reunion like never before in mount Olympus to decide on the matter. Personally, I believe that the key to all of this will be John".

The type the has both the skill and the determination to bring war to heaven and God itself. That is, unless you believe you have the capabilities to do so?".
Belial looks with a sad look at the inside of her cup. Already beyond half of the warm liquid inside of it.

A small awkward silence falls in the room, but it is Belial to interrupt it.

A news like that is something that would have made any other Head of the Seven Mortal Sins paranoid of everything and everyone, let alone tell it to someone that as just declared to be your political enemy. And yet, Belial face shows only contempt, sadness and resignation.
"I suppose you didn't take it". Mammon says, even if sounded more like a question than what she hoped for.

"No, I suppose not. Then again, no one would ever come at me with such a propose. It would be too much of an horrible joke even for me".
"Indeed. Besides, it also confirmed my internal doubts that I had for a long time; that was indeed God to cast me out of Heaven and not Lucifer like I always thought. At that time I thought nothing of it, nor that it would become something like this. Ironically the meeting to which Lucifer invited herself was the one in which I would have announced our preparation for a future war against Heaven and start to make plans for it. Eh, I suppose it is a little late for that now, isn't it?".
"In a way yes. Then again we will never know how that meeting would have gone on without the arrival of Lucifer. I think that most of us would have simply scoffed at your orders and followed them at a snail pace at best and not at all at worst. In the end you have created what is quite possibly the strongest out of all the generations of Deadly Sins, but at the same time exactly because they are so powerful that are very carefree in doing their jobs".
"eh. I suppose. Speaking of it. While you said you are going to support Lucifer, I don't think she is the reason you are doing so".

Back when the main branch of the Sitri family was murdered in its entirety, except for Leviathan, it opened a massive wound in Hell political landscape. As the Sitri family was the main supporter of the at the time Head of the Sins. The loss of such an important support put her leadership into question which opened the chance of the next head to take the shoot and she was successful in becoming the 5th head of the Seven Sins. Unfortunately at that time less and less newborn Devil were coming out. And the ones coming out were not as strong or prepared as the previous generations. Devil may be immortals, but they are not invulnerable and they suffer from attrition, and the Church as shown itself to be able to play the long game better than what they expected. The may able to kill an important Devil every half a century or so and dealing heavy damage every few centuries, but this small victories piled themselves up in 2000 years. And before anyone could notice, they have find themselves with a lack of eligible Devils to take over the position as one of the Sins.
As such the 5th decided to let the 4th remain as one of the member of the Sins, thinking that it was the best to maintain as much combat power as possible fearing a possible retaliation from Hell in such a daring time.
That was a grave mistake.
The two faction supporting each of the Heads started to engage in a shadow war that brought even more harm than what the Church did in two thousand years. It then escalated in a full on Civil War. The result was devastating.
Outside of Mammon every other Sin of both the 4th and 5th gen was dead. Together with what remained of the nobility and the most important families of Hell which were wiped out almost to the last. And because she was the last remaining she could not vote to elect herself, and there was almost none that was interested or that desired such a position after what happened.
This is when Belial came into the picture. After being casted out by God for the Sin of Idolatry, she arrived in Hell in the late '800 and simply wandered all over Hell with no objective in mind. That is until she met Astaroth, which was herself a casted out from the Paimon family. Somehow the two became friends and after the whole civil war was over Belial stepped out.
She took on herself the name of the Byrnedale family, which was wiped out centuries ago, and embarked on a journey to refill the seats. She then found what few Devils remained and with various challenges convinced them to take on the role as a member of the Seven Deadly Sins, while also installing her and Astaroth in it.
Thanks to her effort the situation finally stabilized and for almost a century Hell lived in an unusual period of peace. Obviously God seems to not like this, and the incredible speed to which Humanity has grown in this last century has finally obliged God to take action.
"Truly a shame" Mammon thinks "but times are changing, and we must change with it or we will be overwhelm by it".
After this final thought Mammon finish her cup and prepares her dress to welcome the three messengers to discuss how the situation should proceed. The other world Pantheons may be weaker than the Abrahamitic Pantheon, but this will not discourage them to declare war in case they perceive that there is no other way.
And a mouse with no escape route and with nothing to lose is a dangerous one indeed.
[Meanwhile. John's personal airplane. Above the Atlantic]

Hello everyone Ghostfire here.
After a lot of work and setbacks I have finally ended this new chapter. This and the next one will be important to better understand how the supernatural factions are now and what they planning to do.
But first a couple of things:
1 Black reaper17: Yes, John knows about the Byrnedale family, but it is only because it is mentioned in the various book that talk about Demonic hierarchy like the Ars Goetia (the Small key of Solomon), more specifically the Byrnedale in this universe are substituting the Bael family, which is one of the five Kings of Hell. As such his knowledge and the way he and Belial first talk about it was more out of courtesy and trying to be a diplomat than anything else. Besides, as I have explained in this chapter, the new Sins are very much rookies and had no interest in knowing it, only Mammon and Astaroth knew about it, but the latter was not present and the former didn't want to stand out.
2 If anybody thought and/or thinks that Lucifer dealt with the soldiers too easy, I want you to remember this. In the anime Lucifer, still under the curse, is able to fight against Satan while flying, breathing and talking in the vacuum of space. She is able to fly from Earth to Moon and back without breaking a sweat and in mere seconds. Satan herself has shown to be able to shoot lasers capable of creatings trenches in the ocean. As such they are simply too strong for normal soldiers, even superpowered ones, to fight head-on. Nevertheless, when they ambushed John, Lucifer and Asmodeus, they almost killed them, if they didn't put the barrier on in time three of the most dangerous enemies of the Therianthrope would have been dealt in a single hit, a success of unbelievable proportions for them. But because they failed they were now understanding the meaning of fuck around and you find out.
3 For the ones who may not like that the lemon scene is so short, well do not fret. I am planning to make a big one at that, but I need the story, and Maria in this cases to go one a little more before it. Besides, I will always write while thinking what the various characters would do in said situation, and knowing john personality he would have never taken advantage of a Maria that was clearly not in control of herself.
4 as I final note I must say to all of you readers that I am sorry. Because I was checking the Seven Deadly Sins wiki a couple days ago I found out that I completely messed how tall Maria and all the other girls of the Seven Deadly Sins are. Now, this is an AU in full force, as such this error doesn't change anything nor I have intention of changing it. But I must thank shadow Joestar because the cup size of their chest is correct and I don't need to rewrite it. Nevertheless I would do a disservice to all of you if I would not indicate the correct measures for the girls. Nevertheless we can see a lot of interesting things from this chart. First is that I have basically give Belial almost an entire foot in height from the OG one and second that Sariel confirms to be best Virtue from having all the charts completed (and I love her the most out of all the Virtues as she checks all my points, especially being the tallest of all the Virtues and of the entire show in absolute terms).
I would like to hear your opinions if you like the height of the original Sins or mine. Nevertheless expect my personal heights to be added to the various Virtues when we will encounter them (except for Sariel because she has already shown to be best girl by being the tallest one of all. GO and Get them GIRL!).
*giggles* Jokes asides I will see all of you next chapter and I will wait your comments.
Also I have to tell you that because exams are near I am not sure I will be able to maintain my schedule of two chapters a week, but I will see what I can do.
