Chapter 5
One Month Later
As the bus slowed to a halt, Aizawa spoke sternly as he stood. " Stop messing about. We have arrived. "
" I wonder what the training will involve. " Ochaco spoke calmly as she looked out of the window before Kyoka spoke.
" No idea. Hopefully something usef... " Kyoka paused as she looked out of the window to see Ryuzaki standing beside a tall, Muscular man with a metal jaw and four arms. As she blushed lightly, Kyoka heard Aizawa speak.
" Hmm. Fourth Kind. Ryuzaki. Nice of you two to join us. " Aizawa groaned disinterestedly before Fourth Kind spoke.
" Nice to see you to Eraser Head. I will not be staying. Just delivering the boy as requested. Before I take my leave there is a small matter to attend. " Fourth Kind glanced toward Ryuzaki before throwing a punch as Kyoka gasped loudly. As the punch was about to land, Ryuzaki seized Fourth Kind's arm before turning his body and flipping Fourth Kind over his shoulder, Causing the students on the bus to fall silent and look toward Ryuzaki as he straightened up and stretched.
After a moment, Fourth Kind stood and dusted himself off before speaking. " Excellent form boy. As usual. Now then, I do hope you will remember the valuable training you undertook in the last month. "
" I didn't realise being punched and tossed around like a rag doll was valuable but sure. I'll remember. " Ryuzaki smirked playfully as Fourth Kind laughed heartily and spoke.
" Don't lose that spirit boy! A good sense of humour too. But remember, Being a hero is serious business. Keep up your training and be sure to drop by once in a while. " Fourth Kind patted Ryuzaki's shoulder firmly as he nodded before walking away and getting into a waiting car. As the car pulled away, Aizawa spoke sternly.
" Enjoy your vacation brat? " Aizawa glared toward Ryuzaki as he thought for a moment before making a hand gesture that signified little enjoyment, Causing Aizawa to smirk before continuing. " Good. I would hate to think you were slacking. "
" As if Fourth Kind would allow relaxation. You are getting delusional in your old age teach. " Ryuzaki smirked impishly as Aizawa chuckled for a moment before speaking.
" Perhaps. For now, Go get changed. The Gear Studio delivered your outfit earlier. It is in a private changing room in the east wing. Meet us back here while I make sure your classmates haven't destroyed the bus. " Aizawa sighed as Ryuzaki nodded and walked inside as Kyoka watched Ryuzaki with a look of longing before Ochaco spoke.
" You haven't seen him since your family had dinner with him right? " Ochaco smiled impishly as Kyoka blushed brightly before placing her fingers on her lips slowly and shaking her head. " Since you kissed him. "
" Sh... Shut up Ochaco! " Kyoka blushed furiously as Ochaco giggled playfully before Tsuyu spoke.
" I bet he has missed you. " Tsuyu smiled teasingly before Momo giggled and spoke.
" Maybe he just missed her lips. " Momo giggled before Kyoka growled and sighed before speaking.
" I have felt so empty without him. Every day has felt so long and even sunlight lost it's warmth. But it fills me with joy to see him again. " Kyoka blushed lightly and smiled before Aizawa stepped onto the bus and spoke.
" Everyone off the bus. And keep things calm and orderly. Don't make me use my Quirk. " Aizawa groaned before stepping off the bus as the class followed. After everyone was off the bus, Aizawa told them to go and change. After they all returned, Thirteen spoke as excited statements were spoken among the students.
" Welcome. Let us go inside and begin without delay. " Thirteen turned and walked inside as the class followed excitedly. As they walked in, The class looked around and sighed in amazement. The facility was enormous with several environments that had different scenery. As the students took in the sight, Thirteen spoke.
" A shipwreck, A landslide, A fire, A windstorm, Et cetera. This is a training ground that I made with different types of accidents and disasters. It is called the Unforeseen Situation Joint or USJ for short. " Thirteen finished speaking as the students sighed softly before Aizawa spoke.
" Thirteen, Where is All Might? He was supposed to meet us here. " Aizawa groaned softly as Thirteen stepped forward and spoke softly.
" About that... " Thirteen paused as Aizawa looked toward him. " It looks like he got carried away with hero work on his way to the academy and ran out of time so he is resting in the lounge. "
After sighing softly, Aizawa spoke. " He really is the height of irrationality. I guess it can't be helped. Shall we begin? " Aizawa turned back to the class before a voice made him pause and glance over his shoulder. The voice had a metallic echo to it but was clearly Ryuzaki.
" You didn't forget me did you teach? " Ryuzaki chuckled softly as he walked toward the class, Who all sighed in amazement at his outfit. From the outside, His outfit looked like layered metal plates over a mesh bodysuit. His mask was designed similar to a ninja mask with a layered covering over the mouth and had a visor attached to it that covered his ears and eyes completely and had a single glowing circle in the front with small glowing lines leading to the ear area which had glowing circles on both sides. The visor and mask were also attached to what looked like some kind of housing collar.
As Ryuzaki walked forward, The class noticed small, Thin lines on the armour plates that almost touched the edge of the armour plating. As they looked over the armour, They noticed small wrist guards that overlapped the armouring on the forearms that appeared to have several small holes at the front with a long slit just below them.
After walking over and standing next to the rest of the class, Ryuzaki stayed quiet as Kyoka shuffled over and leant against him gently while Thirteen spoke.
" Before we begin, Let me say a few things. Firstly, I am sure you are all aware of my Quirk, Black Hole. I can suck up anything and turn it to dust. " Thirteen paused as Midoriya spoke while Ochako nodded enthusiastically.
" You've been able to use that Quirk to save people from all kinds of disasters right? " Midoriya spoke with enthusiasm before Thirteen responded.
" Yes. But it is a power that can kill easily. Some of you also have Quirks like that right? " Thirteen paused again as the students sighed softly. " In a superhuman society, Personal Quirks have been certified and stringently regulated so that doesn't seem to be a problem at first glance. However, I recommend that you do not forget that there are many Quirks that can kill with a single misstep. Using Aizawa's physical fitness test, You found out about the possibility of your own hidden powers and with All Might's person to person combat training, I think you experienced the danger of using those powers against others. Which if I am told correctly, Was displayed by a certain pair of you. " Thirteen paused as Ryuzaki glanced toward Katsuki, Who turned away in a huff as Ryuzaki stepped forward and spoke.
" They come with consequences. Using our power against others can cause harm and cause us harm in return based upon the actions we take. While training with Fourth Kind, He explained to me that our power is not our gift, It is our responsibility. " Ryuzaki spoke calmly before Thirteen nodded.
" We are all responsible for our Quirks and the repercussions of using them. Fourth Kind speaks true. This class however, Is a fresh start. Here, You will learn how to use your Quirk's to save lives. You do not have powers so that you can harm and torment others. Through your training here, I hope you will come to learn that your power is meant to help and protect others. " Thirteen paused for a moment before bowing. " Thank you all for listening. "
As the class applauded, Aizawa spoke. " All right then. First... " Aizawa paused as the lights and power flickered before noticing a black swirling portal open in the middle of the main area. As he turned to look at it, Aizawa had a concerned look on his face. Before he could react, What appeared to be a man with hands covering his body, A large creature and at least two dozen others, Stepped through before the portal erupted into smoke and formed into a second man. He was tall and appeared to have a metal covering around his neck while his head appeared to be black smoke with a purple glow.
As the students motioned to move, Aizawa spoke. " Stay here! Those are villains. "
" What gave that away? " Ryuzaki walked forward and stopped at Aizawa's side as he continued. " No offence teach, But you are under equipped for that many alone. Given the most obvious weakness to your Quirk is your dry eye syndrome, Wouldn't it be best to have backup? "
" Volunteering are you? " Aizawa shot Ryuzaki a disapproving glare as Ryuzaki chuckled.
" Hardly. I need no one's permission. It was simply a courtesy to give you an opinion. You are more than welcome to stay here and watch. But either way, I am fighting whether you like it or not. I have seen that guy before. Not in person though. You wanna stop me then you are going to have to get something better than that scarf. " Ryuzaki turned his head toward Aizawa for a moment before walking down the staircase as a large group of villains walked out of the portal followed by what appeared to be a large creature before Ryuzaki stopped walking as Aizawa gripped his shoulder.
" Impertinent brat. Fine. I will handle the small ones. With your strength, Can you keep the big one busy? " Aizawa groaned as Ryuzaki's hair erupted into black flame before Daemon spoke.
" Busy is an understatement. Deal with the vermin. The creature is ours. "
As Daemon finished speaking, The glowing lines on Ryuzaki's armour quickly changed from white to a deep blood red before he exploded forward. While in midair, The creature exploded forward and collided with him, Sending a shock wave through the air before they both slammed into the ground, Trading punches as Aizawa rushed down the stair case and engaged the group of villains as they charged forward.
As they watched, Thirteen spoke. " We must contact the school quickly. The sensors must be inoperable. Either they disabled them prior to entry or one of them has a radio wave based Quirk that can disable sensors. Either way, We need to evacuate. "
" Apologies but I cannot allow that. It is my understanding that All Might would be here. Was there a change? " The villain that looked like black smoke spoke calmly as he appeared between the group and the exit. " Well that is neither here nor there. It is my job to scatter you all. "
Meanwhile
" The number you have dialled is not in service or has been temporarily disconnected. "
" Hmm. Aizawa and Thirteen are not answering. Whatever the reason, I am being neglectful of my duties as a teacher. I should be more mindful of my actions outside work hours. I should go say something at the end. " As All Might stood and motioned to leave, He heard the door open as Nezu spoke.
" Now hold your horses. " Nezu smiled as All Might looked surprised and spoke.
" Principal Nezu! " All Might smiled oppressively as Nezu grinned.
" Yes! Am I a mouse? A dog? A Bear? My real identity is that I am the Principal! " Nezu chuckled before walking in and holding up a tablet. " Look at this! All Might resolves three incidents in one hour! You have not changed. While it is also the fault of ruffians who continue to cause trouble, You shouldn't respond to every incident you hear about! " Nezu sighed as All Might looked taken aback for a moment. " Your injury and it's after effects are limiting your hero abilities as it is and you have a more important need to properly train your successor. "
" That is why I was preparing to go to USJ. " All Might spoke calmly as Nezu poured two cups of tea.
" If that is the case then you lose nothing by listening to my theories on teaching. It is information you will find valuable in the future. " Nezu smiled as he pushed a cup of tea toward All Might. " Have some tea. First of all, Regarding the vulnerability and responsibility of being both a hero and a teacher... "
" You haven't changed at all either, Sir. " All Might sighed as Nezu chuckled softly.
Unexpected Situations Joint
" Class Rep! " Thirteen spoke suddenly as the few remaining near the entrance looked around in shock at the absence of most of the class members. " Run to the school and tell them what has happened! We have no signal for communications and the alarms are not sounding. They will be unaware of the situation. "
" But... " Iida paused as Ryuzaki flew past the group and slammed into the wall before growling loudly and launching back toward the large creature and slamming into it as Ochaco spoke.
" You need to go! We don't know how long Ryu can keep that monster busy and Aizawa-sensei won't be able to fight all the villains endlessly. You have to go! " Ochaco had a desperate look on her face as the others agreed with her.
" Even if there is no other choice, You truly are idiots to talk about your plan in front of the enemy! " The villain spoke calmly as a stream of smoke burst toward the group.
" It doesn't matter if we are found out! " Thirteen spoke before raising his hand as the fingertip of his suit opened and he spoke. " Black Hole! " As he spoke, A torrent of wind sucked the black smoke into his fingertip as Iida prepared to use his Quirk.
As he was about to run, Ryuzaki slammed into the ground beside him before standing slowly.
" That does it. Now I am pissed. " Ryuzaki growled softly as the glowing in his suit shifted from blood red to white as Daemon receded. " No more holding back. " Ryuzaki raised his arms as the slits on the front of his wrist guards made a soft grinding noise before what appeared to be segmented blades with a sturdy looking wire running through the middle, Slowly extended out of them.
" I am going to dissect you like a little science experiment and send your head back to the scum that made you. " Ryuzaki growled before the glowing in his suit intensified before he exploded down the stair case and reengaged the creature as Iida watched in shock. As he motioned to react, The water in the shipwreck area exploded, Sending what appeared to be a bundle of people mushed together with purple dots and the remains of the ship were thrown into the air.
" The others are fighting too Iida. Everyone is still in the building. But we need assistance. You have to go now! " Shoji spoke calmly as Iida looked hesitant. As he looked around nervously, A loud scream echoed through the area.
Mountain Area
Kyoka screamed loudly as one of the villains pushed a knife into her shoulder after managing to knock her down.
" Poor little girl. You should have been more aw... " The villain froze as a huge shadow formed behind him as it spoke.
" It is you, Who have made an error here. Insect. "Daemon spoke before laughing maniacally as Kyoka traced the line of shadow back to where Ryuzaki had the large creature pinned. As she watched, It looked as if Ryuzaki was struggling to maintain control of Daemon as it laughed maniacally again before what appeared to large spikes extended from it's body, Piercing each of the nearby villains through the heart before each of them burst into black flames.
As the flames lessened and the spikes retracted, Kyoka stood slowly with a horrified look on her face. As she looked around in awe and terror, Daemon spoke. " Your safety is our highest priority. No cost is too great to ensure it. "
Before Kyoka could react, Daemon quickly receded as she watched Ryuzaki get tossed across the courtyard before the creature seized his leg and slammed him into the ground repeatedly.
" He really will do anything for you Kyoka... Even kill... That is both impressive and horrifying... " Momo spoke shakily as she looked around at the scorched, Lifeless corpses of the villains as Kyoka and Denki looked toward the courtyard.
Kyoka watched in horror as the large creature repeatedly slammed its massive fists into Ryuzaki's face over and over. As she fell to her knees, The creature roared painfully and quickly backed away.
As it backed away, The blades Ryuzaki had in his gauntlet separated into sections before wrapping around the creatures arms and pulled back toward the gauntlet with a speed that suggested the gauntlet was motorised before the creature's arms fell away from it's body in a spray of blood. As he stood, Ryuzaki sighed softly.
" Hmm. This armour is tougher than I gave Mei credit for. " Ryuzaki stood before raising his arms as what appeared to be cables with small jacks on the end fired out of the gauntlets and wrapped around the creature tightly before plugging in.
As the creature struggled to free itself, Ryuzaki's hair erupted into black flames before black flames rushed through the wires, Filling the creature's body as it growled painfully while black flames erupted from it's eyes and mouth. As it's skin blistered and split, The wires unplugged and retracted into the gauntlets before the door of USJ exploded and an oppressive laughter filled the room.
" It is alright! " All Might grinned as he walked to the top of the staircase before continuing. " For I am here! "
As All Might laughed, Ryuzaki groaned before turning his back and speaking to the man covered in hands. " Now then, You and I are going to have a little chat about your master. "
" I doubt it. Nomu isn't done yet. "
As Ryuzaki glanced over his shoulder, The creature slammed a monstrously strong punch squarely into Ryuzaki's spine, Causing to make a loud snapping sound before he flew across the area and slamming against the wall, Causing it to crumble onto him as All Might walked down the stairs and spoke sternly.
" While young Ryuzaki is a handful, That much force is quite unnecessary. " All Might looked disgruntled before the pile of rubble moved as Ryuzaki stood and spoke.
" All right... That one hurt. " Ryuzaki stretched, Causing his spine to make several popping noises before he continued. " All For One really should have explained what you would be dealing with. Or did you decide to act on your own? "
" Shut up! Failed experiments have no right to speak! "
" Now you are just being rude. " Ryuzaki growled as his armour glowed brightly before his hair erupted into silver flames as he exploded forward, Slamming a punch into the creatures stomach. As the creature doubled over, Ryuzaki raised his leg before slamming his foot into the back of the creatures head, Forcing it's face into the floor with a sickening crunch before turning his attention to the man covered in hands and speaking forcefully.
" I don't really like repeating myself. " Ryuzaki rushed forward and seized the man by the throat before continuing. " Where is he? "
" How dare you interfere! YOU HAVE NO RIGHT! "
Ryuzaki sighed irritably before gripping one of the mans fingers and bending it back forcefully, Causing it to make several loud popping noises as the bones snapped before he spoke again. " You will tell me eventually. Or you will run out of unbroken bones. "
" Young Ryuzaki, This is... " All Might froze as Ryuzaki glanced over his shoulder and spoke.
" Shut it. I'm not interested in your rhetoric. Go deal with the beast. " Ryuzaki turned his attention back to the man covered in hands as he spoke again. " Do not make me ask again. "
" I don't know! No-one does! He just calls us! "
" It is obvious you wanted All Might but why not sooner? " Ryuzaki waited as the man struggled for a moment before squeezing his neck momentarily, Making the man stop struggling and speak.
" Because his powers are fading. Before, We couldn't take him. "
" And the students? " Ryuzaki sighed irritably as the man growled before Ryuzaki seized another finger and bent it like the first, Causing the man to cry out in pain before speaking.
" They were just in the way! All Might was our only target! It never occurred to us that he wouldn't be here! "
" Clearly... " Ryuzaki paused as All Might flew across the area and slammed against a wall before tossing the man aside and turning his attention to the creature as it charged toward him. " How tedious. "
As the creature threw a punch, Ryuzaki leant sideways before twisting his body, Landing a kick to the back of the creature's head, Forcing it to the ground before pummelling it's head with punches as flakes of skin peeled away from the visible parts of his face and neck. After several moments, Ryuzaki gripped the creature's head before pulling upwards forcefully, Tearing it's head away from the body, Causing it to fall limp as he spoke. " Get up from that. "
" NO! HE WAS MEANT FOR ALL MIGHT! " The man covered in hands scratched at his neck irritably before Ryuzaki exploded forward and slammed a flaming punch squarely into the man's face, Sending him flying as purple smoke engulfed him and he disappeared.
After a moment, All Might walked over as he spoke.
" While I do not approve your methods, You did well. " All Might laughed oppressively but fell silent with a look of shock as Ryuzaki's mask receded into the housing collar. Revealing his face looking cracked as small flecks of skin peeled away before he spoke exhaustively.
" Fighting the same enemy twice is boring... Just... Shut it... " Ryuzaki breathed raggedly as the flames engulfing his hair flickered meekly before quickly dissipating as he fell to his knees and collapsed as blood seeped through the skin on his face and his eyes faded to a soft shade of grey as he fell unconscious.
