A Hundred Words of Shenanigans - Smoke

Reno woke up, panicked, to the acrid smell of smoke; he thought he was reliving the worst day of his life.
…Until the muffled sounds of cursing could be heard from the kitchen, and he realized it was another one of Yuffie's attempts to cook breakfast.
The relief almost made him lightheaded.
"D'ya need a hand?" he called out, his mind flashing to the burnt pan from last month.
The silence lasted a mere second. "No! Shaddup!"
A snort of laughter escaped him, and he relaxed back into bed.
With her here, it felt more like home.
Who would've thought?
