Survivor - Heroes vs Villains
Chapter 7 - Day 6 Part 2
Welcome back!
So with the Heroes losing again, they are now going to be down to eight members left, and Isabelle is out of the game, so Sonic is the obvious big target on the board here. They could spare him and sacrifice Mario for them to move forward, but either way, they both need to scramble with a capital S.
They were not even fortunate enough to get the immunity idol, unlike their friend Donkey Kong. So now he's in a better position in this group. There wasn't a confessional of him reacting to the situation, but there will be one in the near future.
So enjoy!

Day 6
Mario, Donkey Kong, Yoshi, Zelda, Meta Knight, Sonic, Vector, Shovel Knight, Golden
-/-
Way to go, Heroes... All those S's on their chests and they had yet to win a single challenge? Something was definitely not right. Bowser Koopa was having a field day at his camp, while the Heroes were at camp all being miserable.
...Okay, they were not exactly whining or crying. That was for sure. But still, they themselves were embarrassed and disappointed. For a hot minute, hardly anyone said a thing. They sat down all their stuff, some of them were even sitting themselves down in the shelter, while others simply stood around, finding it really hard to believe they lose for the second, no... third time in a row.
It was really getting ridiculous.
"...I'm sorry, you guys." Vector was the first one to really start talking. "I decided to put myself in a leader position since I've done this challenge before, we didn't win. Even if you all don't think it's my fault, you can't say that I don't deserve to take responsibility for that."
"I think you did a great job leading us, Vec." Sonic spoke with sincerity. "You did step up to lead the challenge, but saying that you deserve to take all the responsibility is unfair on your end. There are nine people on this team, so we lose as a team."
He then snickered and shook his head. "Friggin' Ridley got some redemption here."
"Bowser's team is winning and we're not." Mario laughed to no one in particular.
"He's probably waiting for the moment to rub it in our faces. Watch him do it at the next challenge just for kicks." Sonic presumed. "Honestly,... do you guys just feel like the Villains are naturally a stronger team then we are? I wouldn't say I'm the strongest guy myself, but that team is pretty stacked."
"...I have to agree with you on there." Golden understood where he came from. "I remember on my season the Beauty tribe on the physical side, it seemed like Panther was carrying the entire team. That played a large factor to them losing the first two challenges. This season, on the Villains camp, there are a strong bunch. There are alpha males and Sheik is an alpha female. Literally the only person who they are concerned on the physical side is Plague and that's it."
"Well, I think there are more puzzle solvers over here." Zelda opinionated. "Not all challenges are super physical. I believe if it came down to a puzzle, we actually have the upper hand. Puzzles are known to be the neutralizer."
"You might have a point there." Shovel Knight was in agreement. "Perhaps a big puzzle would take those big guys down... However, the one thing is that we can't really predict and assume what these challenges are, even if we all have competed in them before. And we all know what they say about assuming..."
"We can not afford to lose ever again." Vector was not having it anymore. "Whatever we need to do, we gotta kick it into overdrive or else none of us are going to win this."
"Everyone is upset that we lost another immunity challenge, and they are all coming up with their own opinions as to why we have not won anything." Zelda sat down by the beach. "And although they never meant any harm, hearing something such as us basically automatically being the weaker team,... it sorts of me makes me feel some kind of way, to be honest. It is why I brought up puzzles and other things that goes into challenges. For me, if this upcoming vote off is going to be based exclusively off physical strength, I'm next in line... So without getting too paranoid, I need to make sure that I'm not going home, because the last time I've checked, I am supposed to be in this majority alliance of seven."
She was not wrong. Isabelle was not in the game anymore, so Hyrule's princess had every right to feel the way she did.
However, there were two other players that were major options on the board for elimination: Sonic and Mario, and they were not involved in the majority alliance. The hedgehog in particular was by far the biggest option altogether solely for being the original Sole Survivor.
"Okay, so obviously we know who the targets are..." Golden was walking with Meta Knight in the woods. "At this point we just need to figure out who is the better option to keep around."
"What is your take on it?" Meta Knight asked him, Zelda being a couple yards away.
"I'd say it doesn't really matter to me, but then again, everything matters in Survivor." The bear scratched the top of his head, the two of them stopping in their tracks as soon as they heard Zelda coming along. "I believe Sonic is actually stronger than Mario in challenges. He's faster, and I think he would have killed that ring toss."
"Though he has won before..." Meta blinked.
"That's the problem." Golden bobbed his head up and down. "If we're against both winners here, there should be no point in waiting. The longer Sonic stays here, the more dangerous he gets. ...On the other hand, if we're going to get more puzzles in challenges, Mario could be an asset. I feel like he could really do it. You never know when you might need that one extra puzzle solver to get the job done."
"Yet if he stays, due to him being a non winner, this could actually turn out to be a long run for him..."
"That I also agree with. This could be our very last challenge that we'll lose. We go on a winning streak, and Mario somehow stays for a while... He's made it to sixth place with a record of thirty votes to his name. At least it's inevitable for Sonic to go home at some point. He has no reason to get far at all..."
"Either way, one of them is history."
"So I guess I should have no reason to worry, correct?" Zelda chuckled a little.
"You're safe." Meta assured her. "I understand how you feel. But strategically, voting you off is rather pointless. Otherwise, we might as well have kept Isabelle on here..."
"We should probably split the votes, just to avoid any surprises. Four for one person, three for the other, and then we'll decide who we're going to go with."
"Sounds like a plan..."
As for Sonic and Mario themselves, they were standing west of where the shelter was, making sure there was no one else around to join in.
"I feel like it makes perfect sense for them to split the vote, to be honest..." Sonic was spot on. "I don't see why they wouldn't. The correct thing for them to do is to make sure neither of us have the idol, which I assume you don't."
"I don't have it." Mario shook in denial. "You?"
"Nah..."
"I thought so."
"The idol's probably already found, anyway." Donkey Kong... "So it's gonna be a 4-3 split and whoever the two of us vote for, which I assume is Zelda still."
"It makes sense for the target to stay on Zelda. She's not going to be the biggest priority in challenges. Even in the puzzle department we have other options, such as myself, Shovel Knight, and Golden (who is also a physical competitor). Other than that," Mario shrugged his shoulders. "there is little reason to vote anyone else off..."
"Me and Sonic are foolish to say that we're not the ones on the chopping block. It's either me or him, just like how we were the last two Sumasshu members in the game. I'll be surprised if they didn't do this, but if they do split the vote, the most we could do is take advantage of that by convincing a couple of people to align with us."
"Who do you think it's most likely to flip over?" The plumber questioned.
"You know,... I actually think it's DK and Golden that are the most likely to save us. I dunno..."
"What if they show no interest in working with us?" Mario cocked his head to the side. "...Then we'll just see if we can try and pick up anyone?"
"Well we can't be sitting ducks, here... All we have to say is that me and you both have more to bring to the table regarding the challenges than Zelda and hope more people will vote against her, even if for us it's not really about Zelda going home in the first place... I just don't wanna be gone this early..."
"I know." Mario sighed. "I'll be more thank thankful to at least make it to a swap at this point. Let's just talk with DK. If he doesn't show enough interest in voting with us tonight, we can probably just go around and try to get whoever we can..."
"Donkey Kong and Golden are the two people that helped screw us over last time, but solely due to our friendship, DK is probably the most likely to be convinced to save us this time. We're not as close to Golden, but that's DK's right hand man. So it's kinda like if you buy one, you get one free. But I know DK is generally a smart guy, so if he knows if there is an option he could take that is actually not in his best interest, he's gonna see that. So I gotta make sure I have enough valid reasons for him to believe siding with us is the right choice."
So all three Kodai Island people were in the jungle, sitting on a random log with the monkey in the middle... Literally.
"We actually feel like you and Goldie are the two swings for this tribal." Sonic explained. "And you probably already know why, but nobody knows us better than you do. And, um... we understand what you must be going through right now."
"Understand what?"
"Well, it's probably difficult being Donkey Kong at the moment." Mario answered, and he was likely right. "This is quite the dilemma for you. You have to play for yourself, but then your two friends from your old season are the ones that are on the bottom of the tribe. Balancing friendship and gameplay can be very frustrating."
He bobbed his head up and down rapidly. "The first tribal alone was frustrating to deal with, because the moment I put Isabelle's name down, I felt like crap, and I wasn't even the one that played with her before. She was on Golden's season..."
"You felt upset because you knew what you probably need to do next..."
He nodded once again at Sonic. "At least I am glad that the both of you understand how it feels to deal with what I have to face here. I'm not the type to betray my friends just for my own personal gain, and all the while, this is a million dollars. In Kodai Island I've placed lower than both of you. Even Bowser made it two rounds after..."
Yeah. Being Donkey Kong was terrible. Sure, he was one of the most iconic characters in video game history, yet for day six of Survivor - Heroes vs Villains, his mind was running wild on the inside.
"Tell me this right now..." The ape then said without even looking up. "What are some legitimate reasons for me and Golden to keep the two of you around? ...I'm just as threatening as you are."
"Well, you could be pretty much." Sonic warned. "You decided to go against us in that first round with Golden. The consequence to that is that you have to think long-term here. Down the road. If you two get to the merge, you two are going to be people to deal with in challenges. We can protect you."
"Once the merge portion hits, physical threats are going to be the problem, as in every other season of this show." Mario backed him up. "The other players wouldn't need you anymore."
"That has happened before, yes... However, we have an entire tribe on the other side. We do not really know how they're playing. If they happen to have more numbers and if it still tribe versus tribe, if anything, the Heroes might actually need me to win a couple immunities just to keep the necklace away from the Villains."
"Yet if it is this tribe that is somehow going to get the numbers at merge time, if the Villains start to get picked off, it's gonna be a point where people feel like some of the other Heroes wouldn't be needed anymore. With me and Mario gone, it leaves you to be completely exposed." Sonic went on. "Of all the remaining Heroes, you and Golden would be the most likely to get blindsided."
"I know they are right on one thing. It is frustrating to be in my position. Being Donkey Kong does have its consequences. Sonic and Mario are actually making decent points regarding the cons to them being voted off. I've wanted to align with them in the first place due to them also being huge threats out of the gate, but Meta Knight was directly responsible for shooting that idea out the window. And honestly, I feel like if I sided with them tonight, that's going to burn even more bridges, putting an even bigger target on my back. ...But now I'm facing a moral dilemma..." He calmly facepalmed. "Oh man... For the sake of all the bananas in existence I'm understanding how Yoshi feels of all people. The three of us all started this series together, now I'm probably gonna have to either end Mario's second chance on day six, or playing a role of getting rid of the first ever winner of this show who I've made a genuine bond with."
"...That went a little better than I expected..." Sonic figured, him and Mario leaving that section of the woods. "He was a bit more opened to working with us than I imagined, but I'm still not sure."
Mario sighed again. "It'll really be something if he and Golden actually do it..."
"What are we gonna tell Yoshi and Vec?"
"Well, I feel like at this point they had to make some kind of alliance since they are seen together a lot of the time... And you know, they are kind of like you and me. You needed to vote me off to get to the end, Yoshi needed to vote Vector off to get to the end. You and Yoshi both made to Final Tribal Council, me and Vector share sixth place. Yet after all that, we're two great pairs. Perhaps convince them that we make a solid four alliance?"
It was worth a try.
"So you're saying you want us four to be together?"
Vector was busy rinsing his gloves in the water with Yoshi right next to him.
"It could be a good plan." Mario nodded in reply. "We'll stick together as long as possible and help one another when needed. You two could be targeted together due to your pre-season relationship, but if you need more solid allies, Sonic and I are more than willing to be on your side."
"..." Yoshi blinked, turning his fellow Reptile Runaway. "That actually sounds nice. We're all friends, we all know each other. A four person alliance with you two does sound good for all our games."
"You're strong," Sonic pointed at Vector, before his finger to the dinosaur. "you've made it to the end before. You are both threatening in some sort of way. If there's no one else to help you, Mario and I over here will have your back. And Vec, me and you both come from Mobius. Representing your home world is always an added bonus."
Mario smirked at that. "And Yoshi, both of our worlds are in a cluster with DK's, right?"
"Yeah..."
"We'll keep thinking about it." Vector nodded, not wanting the conversation to last too long. "I know tribal's just around the corner, but we'll think about it... Zelda, right?"
"Zelda." Mario bobbed his head up and down
"Zelda, Zelda, Zelda!" Aw, come on. Sonic knew better. Vector and Yoshi heard him the first time...
"Uhhh,..." Slowly, the crocodile turned his head side to side. "no. Me and Yoshi aligning with Mario and Sonic? I mean, I voted for Isabelle because I didn't wanna play with winners here. And Sonic himself is one... Now don't get me wrong, a strong four sounds good on paper, but it'd be pretty pointless to align with them at this point, man. I literally can not find any particular thing that I gain from that... Besides, Mario and Sonic are both more threatening than me and Yoshi, since he flipped on me long before he voted me out in our season. Sonic didn't have to write Mario's name down until the last minute. So it's like, same-same, but different."
They were now getting away from the beach.
"Not-a bad..."
Sonic immediately took a quick glance at his friend with confusion. "...What was that?"
Yeah, come again...?
"Nothing... They didn't seem against the idea..." He shifted his head Sonic's way. "No Meta Knight, right?"
"Meta was the main one who screwed us over in the first place. Why would he of all people work with us?" He then paused. There was one more person left. "Shovel Knight, however,... he is also one of the least likely to work with us because outside the game, he knows us the least... His world is like way out there. But hey, anything is possible, right? We'll just tell him that we don't need Zelda anymore..."
They found him cooking the rice right back at the shelter.
"I do not know what is going to happen to us if we lose another challenge, but it is not going to go well for anyone on here." Mario spoke first. "Isabelle was by far the weakest out of everyone. But now that we lost two,... we want to at least stand a chance against those Villains."
"Agreed." Shovel understood that point of view. "And I do think the Villains are rather stacked physically. We need to kill their winning streak with the next immunity challenge."
"And I think cutting off Zelda is the best way to go." Sonic opinionated. "She's really nice and sweet, but we gotta keep the tribe strong."
"Zelda herself stated that if there are going to be more puzzles, the team might need her. But she's not the only puzzle solver on this tribe." Good point there. "Besides, what if there are not too many puzzles this season? Say if the next challenge there is no puzzle, what are we going to do with Zelda? She can't be on the sit-out bench because the Villains have more numbers."
"Very true..."
"And Golden is both strong and great at puzzles. He was on the Brain tribe for a reason. Now me, I think I'm an all around kind of guy." The all around kind of guy. Mario was the most balanced player out of anything. Whether it was the Olympic games, sports games,... Smash, pretty much anything one thought of. "But I believe my slightly stronger suit would be the puzzle area. Sending Zelda out of the game would mean that we would be alright in both the physical and puzzle portions of the challenge."
"Hmm..." He was not really saying much, which pretty much meant anything.
"Look, I know she's your friend since you two played with each other before, but like Mario said, he could be alright at anything in the challenges." Sonic said. "And I get that same vibe from you."
"I'm not planning on sending Zelda home. These winners do get more powerful the longer they stay. Mario is not a winner, but he's aligned himself with Sonic, so that makes him a threat in his own right. They are clearly doing nothing but trying to save themselves." Shovel Knight then went silent for a moment. "But you know,... I can not help but feel sorry for them... Sonic and Isabelle had a rather unfair disadvantage coming out here again, even though it was really their choice to play again, since they did not say 'yes' with a shovel pointed at their heads."
The saying was that nobody held a gun up to their heads, meaning nobody forced them to come back on the show. Though this was Shovel Knight that was having the confessional here. "And yet they chose to come out here anyway, only for this to happen. We never won a challenge, and things did not go in their favor at all, so they are literally throwing anything at the wall in hopes something sticks... They may seem desperate, but,... I can not blame them based off the circumstances."
Sigh...
"Well, I suppose that's everyone except Zelda herself." Mario formed a small smile, even though inside he was worried just as much as Sonic was. "All we could do now is hope there are more than two votes cast against her at Tribal Council."
They sat next to each other in the sand.
"You know,..." Sonic then thought out loud. "we could take the easy way out by writing each other's name down, but I guess we are not doing that, are we?"
"Not at all." He heavily disagreed. "You know why? Because we both know that if one of us goes, whoever is left is going to go home right after that."
"Heh... Guess sticking by each other's side is the best thing for both of us, not saying that I was not gonna do that, anyway." Sonic then placed a friendly hand on his shoulder. "Realistically speaking,... this could be our very last day playing together. So,... might as well enjoy each other's company while we're both still here... if one of us is really going tonight."
"..." Mario kept his smile, yet his head turned away slightly. "Here's to being the last two of something again..."
"Mario is a really a good friend to have. He's actually one of the most genuine guys I've ever met. Sure, it may look like we're two completely different people, and I think we are, but I think we both really respect one another. And look at all we had to go through together..." Though Sonic was laughing, part of him was keeping himself from feeling rather down. So he ended up exhaling. "Now it all comes down to this. If it's not going to be Zelda, it's me or him... The only positive thingI can say about that is at least we're not writing each other's name down this time, so we'll just let the Survivor Gods handle our fate..."
Tribal Council
Night 6
Time for the long journey to the tribal once again. The Heroes tribe was seen from a long distance walking up the sets of stairs before making their way to Master Hand, setting down their torches in the holes of the floor.
Upon the nine of them sitting down, the master was ready to get things started yet again.
"So... Heroes have a losing streak going on at the moment. ...Yoshi, you didn't even attend Tribal Council the first time until after the third immunity challenge, and now you have already attended two. What's the feeling?"
"I feel sorta sad for this tribe." He said with sympathy. "I really like everyone here. We already had to get rid of Isabelle, and now somebody else is leaving. ...I don't know. I feel like at least the Villains should have lost today so that the numbers evened up. We're doing fine as a tribe, but... we just seem to have a hard time winning challenges right now."
"I dunno, master..." Vector spoke up. "Perhaps some of the fans want us to lose. Some people in the Survivor community might actually be rooting for the Villains rather than against the Villains."
"What makes you say that?" He found that comment to be rather interesting.
"Well,..." The croc hunched his shoulders. "maybe they seem to think that the Villains are more... entertaining than the Heroes?"
Nearly the entire tribe laughed.
"Maybe they want the Villains to last as long as possible to guarantee more chaos and disruption this season." Golden hypothesized. "We're already gonna be down two, but with that, we clearly cannot lose anymore. It benefits no one."
"I mean,..." Vector frowned and turned his head side to side. "if that's how some people feel, so be it. But,... I'm sorry the Villains team isn't the only team out here and I'm sorry ten other people are trying to fight for that title."
That earned him a few snickers.
"Mario,... this is your second season." Master Hand move onto the main character of... all video games, really. "Is this just Kodai Island 2.0 for you?"
"They say always expect the unexpected, but I just didn't expect this just to be a repeat of Kodai Island. I've lost the first two immunities there, and here it's no different. Sonic and DK feel the same way." He pointed. "It just seems like we can't get some things right. ...One of the biggest differences is of course, Bowser not being here. But one positive thing I could say about last time is at least I wasn't in any danger of going home."
"So you're saying because of Isabelle going home last time, you're now on the chopping block..."
"Both me and Sonic, master." He nodded 'yes'. "We're the only two that voted with Isabelle, now one of us is the next to go."
"Meta Knight. At the last tribal, Isabelle was targeted because she's simply won this game before and she has no reason to really even be on this season. Sonic and Mario voted with her, so I assume Sonic's going home next," The camera pointed at the Mobian before Mushroom Kingdom's hero. "and then Mario third."
"Well firstly, I feel like if you were handpicked to be on this season, then you deserve to be on this season just as the rest of us are." He stated. "This was thought to be the last season at one point, so if anything, it actually made sense to bring two winners on here just to see how they would perform. Though with the rest of us knowing that we have not won before, we have really no reason to keep Isabelle and Sonic around, no offense to them of course."
"So long story short, you guys decided that they've had their shot, it is your time now."
He nodded in confirmation. "For the other eighteen of us that are on this season, it is nothing other more than our second chance. Not everyone gets a second chance, and by us sending the winners out of the game first, we're simply taking advantage of it."
"So why throw Mario in there?"
"Only because of his history with Sonic. They were with each other for pretty much ninety percent of the game, and they were the last two underdogs of their tribe. Mario voting with Sonic perfectly shows why he is a threat as well, so that is why we had to come up with the decision to who leaves first."
"Mario, knowing that you're not one of the two previous winners brought into this season, yet targeted anyway because of you aligning with them, do you have any regrets doing that now?"
"Can't really sat that I regret it." He disagreed. "I chose to align with them for a reason. The three of us together tried to make the right alliances in the right places, and... things simply didn't work out. And time and time again, Survivor has shown that it could simply be that. Not everything goes your way in this game, even when it feels like you haven't really done much wrongdoing."
Donkey Kong's eyes remained at the floor.
"Sonic, have you and Mario ever considered throwing each other under the bus knowing what might occur?"
"I believe in the back of our minds the both of us have considered that, but we both realized that we are two votes. Maybe people might need us to help them out. Like we discussed last time, they are benefits in keeping us around. Say if you feel like somebody is gunning for you, and if you need a couple more votes to make the move, Mario and I are both here, especially since we have nothing else to lose at this point."
"It's why we went around talking to everybody today, master." Mario brought up. "Every last person in this group we tried making a deal with."
All except Meta Knight and Zelda.
"We may not know what they are thinking or how they are planning on playing this game, but there are some pros to keeping us here regarding every player on this tribe. But it is up to them to make their decision when they go up to that urn and vote."
"Golden, so if Mario and Sonic approached you as they say, were there any names they come up with?"
"Well I'm pretty sure the rest of the tribe knows this since they have talked to everyone, but they are planning on writing Zelda's name down."
And hearing that, she calmly turned her head side to side. Two tribals in a row.
"She herself knows this, but the only reason why they're targeting her again is that she is the weakest of the group and that sacrificing her could possibly mean more challenge wins. Though since Zelda is in the majority alliance, there are clearly other reasons to why somebody is getting the boot. Sonic and Mario, we could afford to lose one of them and then win the next immunity challenge when day nine hits."
"Zelda, I wanna hear from you." It was only fair. "This is the second tribal in a row you were an option to vote out."
"I'm getting used to the feeling at this point, considering that's how things were for me in my last season..."
Emperors vs Knights 2.0 now?
"The only thing I can say is that I do my very best in the challenges. I know I am not a super strong competitor and I do apologize, though not everyone here is a big puzzle solver. I've solved puzzles before, and if the team loses me tonight, I do not know about their future plans for the puzzle portion of the challenges."
"No disrespect to Zelda, but we still have quite a feel people that are rather good in the puzzle area." Mario responded. "There is myself, Golden, and Shovel Knight. All three of us are quite alright physically, and Golden is one of the strongest of the tribe. So she should still be someone we could afford to lose."
"And like we just said, master," added Sonic. "from a strategic standpoint, there are still reasons to get rid of her only because me and Mario are two people. If anyone needs us down the road, we're two votes. So by getting rid of Zelda does good for the people themselves, and for the tribe as a whole."
"DK, you actually voted against Mario and Sonic last time, helping the two of them be on the bottom of this tribe. What if all of a sudden you change your mind and you end up being one of the people that saves them tonight? What are the possible consequences of keeping them around?"
"If anyone watched Kodai Island, they are all aware of what the three of us had to go through. So that is one of the reasons why people on this cast called the three of us threats together. I decided to distance myself from that by cutting off Isabelle, and now one of them is going home this time. Obviously it is bad for me now since we're all friends, but I'd say the biggest consequence of aligning with them on this vote, puts an even bigger target on my back, and it completely defeats the purpose of sending Isabelle home in the first place."
"I don't think any of us jumping ship to align with them is a good idea for anyone's game." Vector shook his head. "You know it's never personal. But I don't wanna suddenly side with Mario and Sonic, and then all of a sudden I got a red 'X' on my back for flipping. It is only day six. You can't just make moves just for the sake of making one. There have been times where people have flipped and played a little too hard and things didn't work out for them... I mean, look what happened to Mewtwo in their season."
Ooh. Good one.
"He was not voted off immediately afterward, but he backstabbed basically the entire cast and no one respected him for it. If he made it to the end, not even his main ally in Lucario would have voted for him to win. I don't want something like that to happen to me..."
"But at the same time, if you just sit there and don't do anything at all, you could end up like Pit who actually did make it to the end and only received one vote from Wii Fit Trainer due to him earning her Legacy Advantage..."
Ooh. Nice clapback from Sonic.
"At the end of the day it's all about making the right decisions." Shovel Knight concluded. "Sometimes there could be a bad reason to jump ship, sometimes there could be a bad reason to not jump ship. But I believe in every situation like this, master, it could be simple at best, but complicated at worst. It is not easy to know what's right most of the time."
"And that is something I believe everyone can agree with here." Master Hand said. "But for right now, after tonight, one thing's for certain. If I find out that I have see this team at tribal again, you guys are gonna be in some serious trouble."
"Hopefully we won't get to that point..." Vector did not want to even think about it.
"It is time to vote. Shovel Knight, you're up."
Time for the fun part: voting somebody off.
Shovel made it to the urn and back rather quickly, Golden being called up to vote afterwards.
After Vector cast his vote, it was Mario's turn to cast his, writing down Zelda as promised.
"Sorry you have to see your name again, but you know this is only to save myself."
Donkey Kong was the next to go. He simply stood there for a moment with his hands on the voting stand before finally uncapping the fountain pen.
Yoshi, Meta Knight, and Zelda herself went up there to cast their votes after him, Sonic going last.
"Here goes nothing..."
Alright. The voting was over. Next.
"I'll go tally the votes..."
Sonic twiddled his thumbs in thought, Mario folding his lips in, the fire in the background now showing as multiple players were seen waiting patiently for the master to finish his job with the producers...
...All done. He came back shortly after for the final results.
"If anybody has an immunity idol and you wanna play it, now would be the time to do so..."
...Nope. No movement from DK.
"Okay. Once the votes are read, the decision is final. Person voted out will be asked to leave the Tribal Council area immediately. I'll read the votes."
So,... did Sonic and Mario actually manage to pull this off?
"First vote... Zelda."
There was one vote for her.
"...Zelda. Two votes Zelda."
She calmly remained seated with her hands in her lap.
"Sonic."
"Heh..." He grinned. "First ever vote..."
"Mario. Two votes Zelda, one vote Sonic, one vote Mario."
Mario kept on mentally praying in his mind.
"Sonic."
Uh-oh...
"Mario. Two votes Mario, two votes Sonic, two votes Zelda."
Donkey Kong sat still.
"Sonic. That's three votes Sonic."
The blue blur's eyes widened a little more, Mario being on the edge of his seat.
Vector remained watching for the rest of the votes to be read.
"Mario."
Now the plumber's pupils were growing larger.
"Three votes votes Mario, three votes Sonic, two votes Zelda, one vote left."
At least Zelda seemed to be okay. She was actually already relaxed knowing she likely was not going anywhere.
Sonic and Mario, however, were nearly jumping out of their skins. It was one thing for their plan to not work, but now it was a matter who's name Master Hand was going to call to bring him their torch.
"Second person voted out of Survivor - Heroes vs Villains..." Master Hand slowly revealed the final vote of the night. "Mario."
Oh man...
"You need to bring me your torch."
"Tell Isabelle I said 'hi'." Sonic commented. He tried joking a little, but inside he was not feeling right at all. "I'll miss you buddy."
"Hopefully I will not see you at Ponderosa three nights from now."
Donkey Kong got up from his seat to share a friendly handshake with Mario, before embracing him altogether.
"You know I don't feel good about this..."
"Don't worry about it."
Golden sighed keeping his smile on as he hugged Mario himself. "We'll do our best to win."
"We'll make sure there's a Villain going home next time, Mario." Yoshi really wanted the Heroes to pull out a victory. "I can't wait to see you when this is over."
"Here I am..." Mario set his torch down.
"Mario, the tribe has spoken."
No words were spoken as his torch was put out for good.
"Time for you to go."
Making his way to the stairs, off he went. And then, there were eighteen.
Donkey Kong was seen exhaling deeply, not at all happy about this.
"Two things to note here. The person voted off tonight was neither a winner, nor a presumed weak link of the tribe. Whatever particular reason to him being voted off, this tribe hopefully knows what they're doing. You all know you do not want to come right back. You all need to win. Grab your torches, head back to camp. Goodnight."

"People are probably saying that I should have never aligned with Sonic knowing the consequences of that, but I had my reasons. I would like to know why exactly I am being kicked off before him, but I suppose they have their reasons as well. It is disappointing knowing I've only made it to day six, but on the bright side, if I'm the sacrifice needed so that Sonic could somehow go far this season, I already know who I'm rooting for."

(So Donkey Kong has the heaviest edit at the moment, with Ridley having the heaviest edit on the Villains tribe due to his planning and idols.)
"Master Mario" is gone. His extended final words will be posted tomorrow.
Okay, so pretty simple first two votes so far in the game, but hey, it's the first All Star season and naturally people are going to be against the winners. Still an unfortunate situation for Sonic though, and Donkey Kong ended up having a bad day because of this.
Will things somehow pick up for him?
I encourage everyone to review as always and I will see you all for episode three! (Hopefully I'll remember to post Mario's extended final words tomorrow.)
