Survivor - Heroes vs Villains

Chapter 10 - Day 9 Part 2

Sigh... Okay. So the Heroes tribe is going to Tribal Council for the third time in a row, making this the very first time a single team in my series has to attend the first three Tribal Councils. There was no losing streak compared to this one. The Heroes couldn't even win the reward challenge on day one, so that was actually FOUR challenges losses in a row.

I mean, if I was on there I can't help but feel embarrassed in front of the entire universe. While at the same time, I would have felt downright terrible.

So let's get into how these eight players feel exactly and then we'll see who ends up getting picked off...

Heroes

Day 9

Donkey Kong, Yoshi, Zelda, Meta Knight, Sonic, Vector, Shovel Knight, Golden

-/-

Well, well, well... Apparently the Heroes were so stupid they did not even win a single challenge up to this point. What the hell was wrong with them?

...Just kidding, by the way.

But really. Not one challenge win? One? ...Unbelievable. Something was just not right and the team had yet to put their finger on it.

It came as no surprise that the team was growing frustrated by each challenge loss, and some members decided to vent, since... Okay, not all of them were humans, but everyone had complex feelings and emotions. Therefore, they all had the right to express how they were feeling at the time.

"I was the one that decided to take the leadership role for today's challenge because I was the only one on this team that has done it before in Mexico, and I already knew there was going to be a disadvantage on our end because the Villains had more people over there that performed that challenge. But I knew we had to do our very best to win,... and we came up short once again. ...Obviously it was a mixture of guilt and embarrassment..."

"Guys, you know I have to apologize and take responsibility..." Golden spoke out first for the tribe. "I made a couple mistakes on the puzzle, so that was on me."

"They were leading from the start..." Shovel Knight recalled. "We were already behind in the physical portion of the challenge, but the puzzle was the icing on the cake for us. The Villains are an overall stronger physical team, and three of them participated in that challenge before."

"I heard a lot of shouting from Plague..." Yoshi remembered. "But,... he did help his team win."

"They made a mistake at one point, too." That was something Vector did not want to forget. "Master Hand said so... And like Shovel said, Plague was not the only member from Mexico on that team. So they had the advantage,... and I guess Plague ain't too bad at puzzles. So I understand that..."

"They were ahead of us from the get go." said Sonic. "...I think it just comes down to what we said last time we lost. We may not be perfect, but it's just that the Villains are the more physically demanding team over there. ...But I gotta admit though, the puzzle should have gone a bit smoother and I think we started to panic because we knew how behind we were."

"And once again, I'll take responsibility regarding the puzzle." replied Golden once again. "And I did panic a little because the Villains were going to pull another win and they did..."

He then chuckled a little out of disappointment and frustration, bringing a hand to his face shaking his head. "Oh, crap. We're losing members..."

Vector heaved a sigh, clapping both of his hands on his head. "This is ridiculous, guys! What do we have to do to win!? Jump of a cliff!?"

No, because then all eight of them literally would have failed at Survivor in a literal sense.

"Team Villains were in the lead from the get go." It was Sonic's turn to have some confessional time. "I think every time when the Villains were in the lead, we were never able to really catch up to them, which does say a lot of how strong of a team they are. We over here have more people that are great at puzzles, but Golden unfortunately didn't deliver as much as we hoped. Not mad at him personally, but none of these other folks are the ones that on the bottom. I'm the one on the bottom, so I have to suffer the most repercussions from it. They all know that my neck is on the line, but at least the seven of them will still be here tomorrow... Unlike them, I don't have any more chances. I'm the sacrificial lamb they need to lose here."

He then grew silent for a bit, a small grin forming on his face. "Sonic,... just smile, man..."

Basically smile in the face of pain? That alone was a rather tall order. As just stated, everyone had a variety of feelings and emotions. Sonic had every right to be upset, especially since it seemed he had nothing else to lose.

The main one that knew him the most of the remaining tribe members was Donkey Kong for obvious reasons.

He sighed, the two of them being in a certain area in the woods. "One thing I can say about you and Mario, you both try to stay as positive as possible. That is something I can appreciate. ...I could say my cousin is the same way, since he has more of a laid back, carefree personality."

"I try to be, especially during times like these..." He snickered in response. "But I know that I'm the one going to home. Seven to one... Who knows? Right after leave maybe you all would never have to worry about going to Tribal Council ever again so that it could be a slap in the facef for me. Haha! ...The rest of the tribe is probably checking in with each other right now making sure the vote's going to be unanimous on me."

DK sighed at that. "I'm very sorry..."

"Now don't act like you owe me anything..." Sonic shook. "The situation tonight is mostly going to have an effect on me. You aren't even an option to go home right now."

"I just don't like seeing my friends being voted off one after the other like that. I already lost Mario and I'm about to lose you, too..."

"We lost the challenge again, and now I have to go with the tribe and send Sonic home..." Things were not exactly going DK's way either on the moral side of things. "I was hoping we could win to the point where we swap tribes, but that's not the reality I have to face today... The winners didn't really have a shot at this season at all and poor Mario got sucked right into that. Other than me being a strong guy, the only reason why I'm not on the block right now is that I'm successfully distancing myself away from Sonic and Mario and I voted against them twice now. With Sonic gone, my name will be even less on the chopping block, but tonight with me casting my vote for Sonic, that's the ultimate price I have to pay..."

Vector and Yoshi meanwhile were sitting together by the beach.

"I mean,... just..." The green dinosaur was just annoyed and frustrated. "Why can't we win anything, Vec? ...I can't help that I am not some huge massive beast like Bowser and Ridley, but it doesn't mean we have to lose every challenge!"

"I'm not as big as them myself, Yoshi." Vector understood where he was coming from. "I'm good at challenges, but not as great as they are, and I think I'm starting to realize that... Say, answer this for me. Who are you gonna align with after we get rid of Sonic tonight?"

"...Hmm..." He thought for a bit while his friend continued to speak.

"I mean, Sonic's going... A hundred percent. There is no reason why he shouldn't go home tonight, but afterwards, we're gonna have seven people left. People might start making deals and alliances the moment when he leaves. And I think after this, people might be all over the place..."

"You might be right on that..." Yoshi agreed.

"So what are your plans on alliances for right now? You made any in particular?"

"Um, well... I guess I have you over here." Okay. That was one. "Maybe it does us both good that we're sitting beside each other right now having this talk. I was a little worried of people assuming the two of us would be together again and that will get us both in trouble, but I think we're doing a pretty good job not having targets on our backs. And at this point,... I actually feel pretty comfortable aligning with you."

"Are you sure?" Vector blinked. He did not want to be a reason why Yoshi's game would be screwed up in the future. "You know I'm not forcing you to do this just because we already know each other..."

"I don't see why not. ...And we don't have to be open about it of course. As long as no one else knows we're in a secret alliance, we should be okay. We've kept our alliances hidden before, so we can do it again here."

"When Sonic goes home at tribal, I don't know what's gonna go on afterwards. It might get more competitive out here since everybody is gonna want to win. I want to win." And Yoshi almost won the last season. All he needed to do this time was place anything better than second. "And... I actually feel pretty comfortable with Vector. I think we both... tried to not say too much to each other, but I actually would not mind aligning with him again if that's what I have to do to make sure I don't go home. He's the most likely to align with me anyway. He seemed pretty cool when we talked about it, so I guess we'll make it official. We might not have K. Rool, Charizard, and Banjo this time, but at least there are still two of us on this cast."

Unbeknownst to them, Golden and Meta Knight were watching the two reptilians by the tribe flag like hawks.

"...There were together quite a few times today... Am I the only one seeing this?"

"No, you're not." Meta Knight shook his head, sitting right beside the bear. "I was actually thinking of asking some of the others about it..."

"They've been seen together quite often since the start of this season. Here am I trying to minimize the target on my back by staying away from certain people just to show we don't have anything going on, and I don't even know if they're even trying... Caribbean literally just happened."

"All I know is that Yoshi and I do not have much of a relationship at all, and me and Vector both backstabbed each other." Meta Knight recalled. "Those two together, however, they're obviously closer to each other. And by the way they are around each other quite a bit,... that's going to have people give them the side-eye..."

"You know those two more than I do." Golden brought up. "Do you feel like they could pretty much align with each other again?"

"I feel that if they wanted to, I believe they are at least smart enough to keep their alliance hidden because even they realize that anything could make them a target out here... At the same time, they are not doing the best job hiding their relationship and that is going to bite both of them in the rear end."

"Well they have tails, but your point stands." Goldie-locks was in agreement. "I'm still in alliance with you and DK, by the way. What are your plans are once Sonic is out of the picture? We ought to plan on moving forward as early as we can... Any future targets? Future allies?"

"Me and Shovel Knight are getting along rather well, so hopefully we can also use him as a number. But after Sonic is eliminated and if we have to go to tribal for a fourth time,... there are only going to be seven of us left and one of us would have to get the boot. I feel that Vector and Yoshi could possibly have the most apparent relationship in this tribe."

"...Do you... see that as more threatening than Sonic?" He then turned to the Galaxia wielder directly. "And this is not me saying this just to try to save him, but me moving ahead is not going to hurt. Vector and Yoshi together are two people. Sonic is simply one person that is guaranteed to be voted out at some point, anyway. Worst case scenario if we need to make a move before the other person,... Sonic could be a vote that we would need for this round."

"Valid point there." The knight and the anthro were both on the same page. "I believe Sonic should go as soon as possible, but after he leaves, there are going to be other threats that might become a future problem. And also, what if Vector and Yoshi have an idol? I know Sonic does not have one..."

No... Donkey Kong had an idol that Golden already knew about...

But there was something that Meta was thinking of asking Golden... "I think we should keep Vector around in case we swap with him for future challenges, but... would you consider blindsiding Yoshi before Sonic?"

"You mean get rid of Yoshi now?"

"...I mean, even the people who we might swap with would not want to work with Sonic at all. They most likely do not need him." He explained from his point of view. "If Vector and Yoshi actually make an alliance, we would need to squash it. Neither of them were really talking to me that much, and as of right now I do not see them aligning with me. They could very well target me in the future, and I do not want that."

"...Well, if you actually want to blindside Yoshi tonight, I'll be on board."

Oh Goodness...

"We get Donkey Kong, Shovel Knight, and Sonic could be our fifth vote... Perhaps we could infform Zelda, but I am not really sure where she stands with everyone here..."

"Everything alright over here?"

Shovel Knight...

"We actually might need to talk to you, so I'm glad you're here." Meta Knight stated. "...Would you be against taking out Yoshi before Sonic?"

"...!?" Obviously this hit him out of nowhere. "Come again...?"

"I've no reason to be working with winners, but I've been slowly getting suspicious of the relationship between Yoshi and Vector, and Golden has been thinking about them as well. Sure, Sonic may have already gone to the end and win before, but he already has no chance of reaching the end. Yoshi and Vector are two votes put together. They say you can not make moves too early out here, but based off these circumstances, Sonic is someone where we at least know what to expect. He has no close allies at this point." The hedgehog was seen chatting a little with Zelda in the middle of Meta's confessional. "Those two reptiles are more likely to recruit allies in the game, and if I'm not on the right side of the numbers, I am getting voted off. ...So now, Sonic went from having no chance of staying in the game to suddenly having a better shot. If myself, Golden, Shovel, and DK can make a decision together, it could be either Sonic going home tonight, or a blindside on Yoshi. ...One thing they do have in common is that neither of them have ever been voted off before... This is definitely going to be a first for someone."

Oooh!

"Is he serious...?"

Golden made an effort to have a quick talk with DK about it.

"Hey, he was the one that threw out the idea of blindsiding him first. Not me." He snickered. "All I did was ask him if he was getting suspicious of the two being so open in front of each other."

"...Well I ain't gonna complain. Hahaha!" The ape grinned. "I'm pretty sure Sonic would love to hear this. He needs someone to write down, anyway. I'll tell him to write down Yoshi, but... for me personally, as much as I wanna save him, I gotta think about what's best for my game, just like you need to think about what's best for yours. I can't save Sonic just because he's my friend..."

"Being level-headed is key after all out here." Golden felt that he understood him completely. "Your heart is telling you to go one way and your brain is telling you to go another..."

"We just need to get together with Shovel and Meta and figure out the pros and cons of keeping Sonic and Yoshi."

Donkey Kong really could not have believed it. "Sonic... might have a chance after all."

"Okay..." Now Vector was with both Meta Knight and Yoshi. "So you two straight on Sonic?"

"I am." Yoshi nodded, more than ready for tribal to come around. "He's already won and he's the last winner here. Once he's gone, the seventeen of us can start battling it out and see who wins this time."

"Good. ...You straight on Sonic, Meta?"

"Yes... I don't see why not."

LIAR!

"...So just write down Yoshi?"

Now when Sonic caught wind of the apparent Yoshi plan, it was not from Donkey Kong directly. But he decided to send Golden to relay his the message, due to DK himself not having enough time since the tribe apparently wanted him to cook dinner before tribal and he was worried that he was not going to get into another conversation with Sonic before it was too late.

"Just write down Yoshi." Golden told him. "That's all you have to do. If Yoshi gets more than one vote, he's going home. People are worried of him and Vec aligning together again, and that makes two votes. They might not see you as threatening since they see you as a dead man walking already."

"Oh Chaos... Is this real right now?" He was beyond shocked of course, yet at the same time he knew nothing was ever certain. "People are actually considering on getting rid of somebody else...? Over me...? I used to pray for times like these, haha! But it looks like I might have another shot at getting by today. You know when you're the only one on the outside, you are literally hanging on by a thread living by one day at a time. ...But when you keep hanging in there, you might be just lucky enough for something good to come to you. And hopefully that might be the case for me if Yoshi of all people gets his torch snuffed tonight for the first time. ...I feel bad for the kid because it might him literally out of nowhere, but hey, as long as it's not me at this point, I don't really care who goes home anymore. What else do I have to lose?"

"Your best bet at tribal is to act like you're going home just to avoid suspicion if this plan is gonna work." Golden suggested. "And if it does,... hopefully for you it'll give you more opportunities. And if I could,... maybe me and DK could help you somehow... if we could..."

"Thanks so much, man." The hedgehog friends shook hands with him. "I definitely owe you one if I'm the one going back to camp."

Tribal Council

Night 9

Any more of the Heroes team returning to tribal after this, it might as well have been part of their routine... in case if it was not a routine for them already. 'Every three days the Heroes have to attend Tribal Council to vote somebody off until there's only one member left.'

Obviously none of them wanted that to happen, so they needed to get it together and win a damn challenge.

They all returned to tribal and sat down, with another extra seat now removed as the remaining seats were once again rearranged.

Master Hand heaved a long sigh seeing the blue team yet again.

Sonic did not even look up. Zelda rested her fist beneath her chin with a blank stare. Donkey Kong lifted his hands up as if he was doing one of his taunts in Smash.

And Vector in particular appeared to be the most annoyed, crossing his arms and shaking his head in disgust.

"...You know,... this is actually interesting for me." What? Master Hand found it entertaining to watch others suffer? He should have hung around Ike more outside of the game. The dude was not going to give the Heroes any sort of sympathy? What happened to his morals? "Part of me is rather curious to see how many more times where you guys will attend here and how bad it might get for you all."

See? No sympathy at all... What a shame.

"Vector, your expression says it all."

"I'm tired of losing, Master." He shook again. "And I'm pretty sure I could say the same for every last one of us sitting here. We're not a bad team, but those Villains are more physically demanding. They have even more big guys over there, and three of those Villains put together had a big advantage in the challenge today. Specter Knight, Ryu, and Plague Knight all did that challenge in their season. We only had Golden and that's it, and he made a couple mistakes on the puzzle today."

Nothing but guilt was read across his face.

"I'm not putting all of the blame on him, since we were behind from the start. Like I said, that team is simply stronger than ours. But us flopping on the puzzle didn't help, and now we're all sitting here again. Sick of it..."

#SickofIt

"So Golden, I assume you were the main man in charge of the puzzle."

"I had to. And with me being one of the strongest of the tribe, I figured that was going to somehow match up with my three fellow Mexico people on red. But in the end, their numbers had more of the upper hand. I messed up on the puzzle, so that portion I take full responsibility."

"Including the opening day challenge, four challenge losses in a row. You guys didn't win any of them." Now Master Hand was rubbing it in their faces... Perhaps he was simply jealous that he did not even have one... Petty. "Villains are dominating this game right now. You guys are going to be down to seven members, while all ten of those Villains are gonna remain in this game. Donkey Kong, do you see this team winning at all in the future?"

"I wouldn't give up hope just yet, master." Too much pessimism was not worth it at that point for him. "We could win in the near future with the right challenge. This might be our lowest point yet, though. Me personally, I cannot afford a repeat of Kodai Island where only four members of my tribe including myself made it to the merge and Tatakai only lost one person."

"I'll be pissed the hell off if that happens. Please don't let that happen, guys... Not this season." Vector was now shaking his head more aggressively. "I'm no stranger to losing a tribe challenge, but three immunity losses in a row? That's ridiculous! ...We can't even win a damn challenge!"

"Those Villains are having the time of their lives over there." Sonic assumed. "They were on vacation for nine days and they have all the rewards."

"They received the flint before us," Shovel Knight counted on his fingers. "the fishing gear, and now the comfort. Next challenge they might get chickens for all we know where all we have is the flint and each other..."

Vector lifted a hand up Shovel's way just to prove a point. "We can't catch a break..."

"Zelda, do you think a Hero is gonna win this season?"

"...Hopefully." The Hyrulian princess spoke. "The Villains have an overall numbers advantage, but I still wouldn't count this entire tribe out just yet. My team had less members in the merge and two of us made it to the Final Tribal Council and one of them won my season."

Herself and the Hero King, Marth Lowell.

"You can never perfectly predict the future, especially in Survivor where literally everything is up in the air. We're obviously the underdogs here, so what we need to do is figure out exactly what we need to work on. Our shelter is fine, we've just been through another rain storm, we're rationing everything rather well, everything is going good for us except for the fact that we haven't won a single challenge."

"Well so far, two people have been voted off this tribe. And challenges did play some sort of role in both eliminations. Isabelle was voted off for being a winner, and for being the weakest. Mario was voted off due to his connection with Sonic in their last season and for also not being the strongest member of the tribe. So as for right now, I'm predicting that if things remained consistent with this group, the vote is either going to be for you or Sonic."

Sonic exhaled through his nose at that while Zelda explained what she thought of the master's predictions.

"I hope it is not me tonight, for sure. It could make sense for the tribe, but I don't want to go home. My name was written down two tribals in a row, so I know that I have a target on my back. But just because I am not one of the strongest members here, doesn't mean that I do not give everything a hundred and ten percent in the challenges. And I will continue to work hard and help my team as much as I can."

"Well, everyone knows that I'm the one going home, anyway." Sonic stated. "Mario and Iz both got voted off already, I'm the last one left, we lost again, so I think my time is just about up here unless there's some other plan that I'm not aware of."

Okay. First off, yes, Sonic was a huge target for that night. But he was lying as DK told him to. He knew of the other plan he claimed he had no idea about.

"Alright, so Sonic, you sure it is going to be you tonight..."

"A thousand percent." He then took a glance around his entire tribe. "I mean, I did give everything my all to try to change the target to somebody else since I've got nothing else to lose, but it's seven against one. ...What can I do here?"

"Okay, so assuming that you might be the one getting the votes, how do you think you'll feel if you get voted off tonight? You're our very first winner, and you've never got voted off before. So I wonder of that might feel like for you." Hand admitted his curiosity.

"Whew..." He thought out loud. "It's gonna be a brand new feeling for me. It took until day six of my second season to finally have my name written down, but to be voted off completely, that's a whole different thing. I... honestly don't know what it's gonna feel like exactly, but part of me is of course gonna be disappointed... You know I signed up to come back damn well knowing the consequences of that. I think if it wasn't for Isabelle, I would have been first off instead."

"Not to sound like she needed to be voted off just for the sake of protecting me from being voted off first, but I felt like I had another chance at life or something. I really was playing day by day out here, especially after Mario got voted off. But,... this game is awesome. Who am I to reject the offer and say 'no'? ...But,..." Sonic sighed. "I never really found my footing out here, and if that's the ways things are gonna go for me, I can't be bitter against anyone. Two winners came on this show for this season and I'm the last one left."

"Yoshi, do you think that there's any chance at all for Sonic to be spared tonight?"

"You know, this is the show's first winner. He helped kick things off for all of us here. And with him being on this season, you want to see him last as long as possible. But,... the way that none of us have won before, we want to win this, too. Sonic knows it's nothing personal against him..."

"And I'm not trying to come out here to ruin anyone's second chance. Everybody sitting with me has either been voted out before, or made it to the end but didn't get enough votes to win. And I feel sorry for these seven people here, because I don't even know what that feels like. I was lucky enough to win Kodai Island, but they have to play a lot harder this season because if I leave tonight,... who knows what is going to happen. So if I'm the one obstacle needed to be eliminated for people to start playing their asses off, so be it..."

"However," He was not done, having all eyes his way. "I feel like it is important to note that just thinking about the next Tribal Council is not always the right way to go. Mario may have left last time, but I'm still one extra vote. Yes I'm on the bottom, but I'm not out of the picture yet. Say if this team loses... again, one of these people is going home next and then the first thing they're gonna think of is them wasting an opportunity to use my vote to help them out. I know people are already making plans for the future after I leave, but... why not take advantage of the situation while they have the chance? Then again, I can't control how these people think out here. Only vote I can control is mine, even though my fate lies in the hands of literally the entire tribe."

"So you're not giving up here." Master Hand concluded.

"What?" Sonic blinked. "Just because I think that I'm most likely going home does not mean I can't state the pros and cons of getting rid of me. Somebody is gonna need my vote if my team loses next, and they're gonna regret getting rid of me tonight. But if everybody knows what they're doing, then once I leave, these people might not ever attend tribal again until the merge, or the swap where three Villains might be eliminated. You can't a hundred percent predict the future like Zelda said, but since that's the case, it is why whenever you vote for anybody, it is not super cut and dry... It's not like that. Any little thing can complicate everything."

"Meta Knight, Sonic is saying that on one hand if he is going to be rid of tonight, it is a double-edged sword. On one hand, things could start to work out for you guys, but on the other, you all might see me again, and one of you is going to be voted off next as a consequence by not sparing him for one round."

"I do agree with him on that regard." Now since he of all people was spoken to by Master Hand to voice his opinion of Sonic's view of things, he had to speak rather carefully to not reveal too much... If he was in fact planning on doing something else that night. "You know this is our second chance out here. Say if somebody is going after me for example if I am aware about it, then yes. I would definitely use Sonic's vote to my advantage. Though I think a major benefit by getting rid of Sonic is simply having this team remain on the same page."

"Not having a divided tribe."

"Harmonization is key here." The Kirby figure added. "The seven of us all voted for Mario and Isabelle together, so if Sonic leaves, we are all on the same page. There would be no cracks, no fractions, no division. All we would have to worry about is... a whole other tribe. That will be the only thing standing between us. And if we all go to the merge together, it would be us having the numbers advantage."

"So you're saying with me being here is gonna cause more fractions within this group." Sonic turned directly Meta's way. "I mean,... I am only one person. What am I gonna do? Flip to the Villains? They wouldn't want anything to do with a winner either. And I don't have an idol to save my life."

"Sure," Meta Knight kept his calm, though the two were rather doing a good job playing up. Think about it. It was Meta who threw Yoshi's name out, and Sonic was a possible vote Meta needed to make sure the vote went the other way. "but say if I was to blindside someone and if other people voted with that person, they are going to feel rather alienated and they might be the ones who would flip to the Villains including you."

"Then again," He continued. "...like we keep saying. You can not ever accurately predict the future."

"Never in Survivor." Master Hand finished. "Well,... let's see if my predictions turn out to be correct here. It is time to vote. Donkey Kong, you're up."

Time for the anticipating voting music to occur.

Donkey Kong was first to the urn, his vote in particular not being shown on screen. Zelda followed afterwards before Meta Knight was called up next, him mostly having his final thoughts of whether or not whatever he was going to do was the right move to make for his game... Then again, he already communicated with everyone he needed to before the vote. So...

Following Golden was Yoshi, his vote being the first one to actually be visible for the audience to see, spelling out the Hero of Mobius.

"Thank you for starting it all for us. We really appreciate you. But,... I just want to win."

Vector was also seen writing down Sonic, wasting no time putting his vote in the urn... Well at least everyone knew that no matter what, he was voting with Yoshi.

And after Shovel Knight, Sonic just so happened to be the last one to cast the final vote of the evening, writing down the name Golden told him to before tribal.

"This is what I've been told to write down. So if I'm still alive, that means this game will actually start... while I'm still here. Hopefully this means I have a bigger shot of at least getting to the swap. But at this point,... I'm gonna be surprised if I get to the merge. That would be incredible."

All he had to do was wait at that point.

"I'll go tally the votes..."

Two possibilities... Either the obvious vote plays out and Sonic was gone for good, or this was going to be the first blindside of the season.

Obviously Yoshi had no idea about it, so he just sat still, feeling guilty for figuring that Sonic was going to get the boot here. The hedgehog in question was actually nearly jumping out of his skin. The sadness he felt the previous two tribals was replaced with feelings of hope, anxiousness, and suspense.

"If anybody has a hidden immunity idol and you wanna play it, now would be the time to do so."

...

Nope. All DK did was blink.

"Okay." Time to get started with the reading. "Once the votes are read, the decision is final. Person voted out will be asked to leave the Tribal Council area immediately. I'll read the votes..."

Oh Chaos... according to Sonic.

"First vote... Sonic."

Next...

"...Sonic. Two votes Sonic."

He nodded confidently.

"...Sonic. That's three votes Sonic."

Now came the real feelings of anticipation and suspense. People were on the edge of their seats at home.

What did the next vote say?

"Yoshi."

Quite a bit of confusion set in, certain members of the blue team rather surprised.

Vector was seen frowning as Zelda was a little shocked, actually expecting her name to come up again. Hmm... Interesting.

Donkey Kong cocked his head to the side waiting, Sonic nearly freaking out on the inside, hidden by the calm facial expression on his face.

...

"...Sonic."

God damn it. God damn it!

"That's four votes Sonic, one vote Yoshi."

Sonic wanted to curse right then and there. All remaining hope he had left inside disintegrated... unless the vote was going to be somehow tied making everyone draw rocks.

"Third person voted out of Survivor - Heroes vs Villains... Sonic."

"Okay..."

"Thats five, that's enough. You need to bring me your torch."

"Guess my time has come..." He slowly rose up from his spot and went behind everyone to grab said torch from the group. "I love you guys. Hope you all make every moment count on here. I'm rooting for all of you."

"Thank you, Sonic."

"We'll miss you."

"The original Survivor winner." Golden said grinning, feeling a little more guilty than some of his fellow members for reasons that he himself knew.

"Don't worry. We'll win the next challenge."

"I hope so, because this tribe definitely needs to pull it off." Sonic laughed, putting his torch down as he grinned hard at the Master Hand. "Alright, then. Do it..."

If Master Hand wanted to grin back, without question he would have done so on the spot. "Sonic... This is a first for you, but tonight, the tribe has spoken."

And he watched as his torch was put out for the first time.

"Ouch..."

"Time for you to go."

Donkey Kong smirked and began to clap, everybody else sitting with him quickly following suit.

"I'll go ahead and take a bow if we're gonna do it like that." He did just that, holding up two fingers as a way to 'peace out'. "The winner better be one of you guys. I'm gonna go get some chili dogs at Ponderosa."

With that being said, he began to head down the stairs. Time to join Mario and Isabelle.

Meta Knight kept a straight face on the entire time under his mask.

"Well... what now? ...Is the game gonna start picking up for this season now that our last winner is gone, or will you all finally win some challenges?"

Wow... he was shading them in both ways.

"Let's see what the future will bring. Grab your torches, head back to camp. Goodnight."

"I had a low chance of making it really far anyway, but I was curious of how long I was going to last out here at the same time. Tonight was supposed to be a blindside on Yoshi, based on what I was told. I was literally the one vote they needed, but I guess people backed out. I am rooting for the entire Heroes tribe at this point. But at the end of the day,... one of those good guys better get the last laugh."

(The Heroes are really doing big numbers since they lost three challenges... But Ridley? ...Not having a confessional for an episode for once? ...Am I dreaming or something?)

Well,... the blindside didn't happen... What a bummer...

And as a consequence, Sonic the Hedgehog, winner of season one, is eliminated.

...Moment of silence for the deceased, please...

...

...Thank you.

I expect some sort of memorial or something in the reviews from Sonic fans wanting to give him their respects lol. Last time his name was written down for the first time, now he's voted off altogether... His extended final words will be posted tomorrow.

So what did you all think about this vote off? Did the team made the right decision, or do you legitimately feel like the blindside on Yoshi should have happened? I encourage all Sonic fans to review.
