Luca had done it! He'd finally done it! He flew as fast as he could to where Silas was. He'd searched a good portion of the school before he found Silas. He was flying better now.

"Silas!" he cheered latching on to the man not caring that he was with other people. "I did it! I did it, Silas! I mastered Magic 101! Can you help me pick more classes? "

"Of course." Silas said looking down at him. "Congratulations."

"You told me that I would master it and I did!" Luca cheered. "I was thinking Defensive Magic and Offensive Magic. I want to be a powerful Bunny Fairy."

"I think that is a good idea." Silas told the boy. "But let's see all the classes and make an educated and logical decision shall we?"

"Okay." Luca said and they were soon sitting down, going over the classes that Luca could take now.

In the end, Luca did end up choosing Defensive Magic 101 and Offensive Magic 101. It was clear that he was very happy with his choice. Silas was glad to see and hear it.

"I don't have to go to Flying Class except once a month now." Luca told Silas. "That's why I picked up an extra class."

"Ah, I see." Silas nodded. "You're going to have fun in those classes but I have to warn you, they are very hard and get harder. Miss. Griselda teaches Defensive Magic 101. She teaches all Defensive Magic classes."

"Oh." Luca said with wide eyes. "She's really going to be very hard on us then..." he suddenly looked really excited. "I can't wait! I'm going right now!"

Luca landed in a class full of NPCs. He was bouncing up and down waving his hand in the air.

Griselda looked at him as she adjusted her glasses.

"Yes, Luca?"

"Are we going to learn shields today?" he cheered.

He was off asking a million questions and taking diligent notes on everything she said.

Hermia watched Luca from where she was practicing her magic from Magic 101 nearby. Wow, he was really excited about learning Defensive Magc. She was doing her best to master Magic 101. She often spent most of her time reading. She'd finally mastered Flying Trail 1 and Flora was being nice enough to help her on Flying Trial 2.

She had heard rumors of where Flying Trial 3 was and she was going to make her move. Luca loved flying so she'd make him happy by telling him where the course was. Or rather taking him to it.

Luca was annoyed when Hermia found him after class. He'd seen her working with her magic nearby.

"I'm not stalking you." she stated. "I just thought you would like me to take you to Flying Trail 3. "

Luca sighed and nodded. He really did but was so annoyed that she was the one that was going to be showing him to the race. She flew off and he was soon flying beside her. It was clear that she was a little more stable on her wings now. More confident too. She was also faster.

"You've Mastered FT1 haven't you?" he asked her as they flew.

"Yep!" she beamed. "I started FT2 yesterday. Turning is hard."

"Yes, it is." Luca agreed. "I still have some trouble with it but the more you go through the trials the better you get. They teach you how to do it properly. How far do we have to go?"

"Not far now." Hermia promised. "I also noticed that these Trials help us with our stamina. We can fly farther and longer."

"Yeah, I like being able to fly farther and for longer. I almost made it to Sword Trial 2 yesterday before my Stamina ran out." Luca informed.

"Here, we are over here." Hermia landed at a place behind some trees. The trial was right there. "Here you go, now you wait here and I'll go get Stella. She'll be able to send out the alert that a new trial has been found. Stay here. Don't move."

Luca nodded and began working on what he'd learned in his Defensive Magic class. Silas had been right. The class had been hard. Really, really hard but he'd enjoyed it and was going to master everything just like before. He worked hard but still couldn't do it before the girls started to arrive. He got a counter in front of him. It was literally going to make him wait for all the girls his age who weren't Flora and Hermia to get there before he could start the trial. He just kept working until they were all there. Silas, Sirius, and Riven were shown over by Hermia and Flora. Harry was suddenly a bit nervous. Riven had never seen him fly the courses before and this was a new one. He was soon at the line and ready to fly.

When the bell chimed they were off. He was annoyed almost instantly. The course had them flying in patterns around trees. It was hard and dangerous. Everyone including the teachers who had come to watch were shocked when Luca was able to fly the course the first time all the way through without getting hurt.

"Goodness me, that's never happened." Faragonda explained to all of them. "Very good, Bunny fairy Luca."

Luca was pleased with himself and wanted to go hang out with Silas, Sirius, and Riven but knew that he wasn't getting out of there without racing all the girls who weren't Flora or Hermia. He apologized for that and quickly returned to the racing.

Luca had learned that Silas could heal when the second girl had run into a tree. The first one had gotten hurt too but had gone to the nurse who was on standby. The nurse had been called away for an emergency concerning some of the senior students. Silas had come forward saying that he could heal and had proved it.

Luca focused with everything that he had on the course at first but it gradually became so easy that he didn't need to focus as much anymore. Still, he gave it his all and was rewarded well for it.

Focus Mastery-1

He loved the skill instantly when he read it. It didn't give him any buffs or anything but it did mean that he could focus even better on tasks.

He flew with everything he had and pushed himself to get faster and better with his wings. That was the goal of these challenges after all. As he beat each time on the course a new name and time would pop up and he would work toward beating that person and time. He knew when the fastest time record holder appeared because it was the same as the previous two trials. It was down to him and Bloom and Luca only needed to be a second faster to beat the fastest time. He was going to beat it by more than that. He knew he was. He and Bloom took off as fast as they could.

Bloom had been beating the previous record holder too as had Stella, Tecna, Musa, and Tecna. Flora had tied the person on the previous two races.

Everyone could see how focused Harry and Bloom were. When he and Bloom were done racing he'd raced every girl in his year except Hermia and Flora. He'd also already broken the record. Now came the grind. The grind to max out the trial and become the fastest fairy to ever pass the trial.

Hermia was in awe of Luca's balance, focus, grace, confidence, precision, and frankly speed when flying. It was amazing. She didn't like heights. She was scared of heights she just didn't like them and logically speaking her fairy wings should not be able to support her during flight. She was getting better at it but she somehow knew that she was always going to be the slowest fairy. Maybe if she could get him to help her...no, she doubted that he would ever help her with anything.

She could tell that Luca was pleased with himself when he'd mastered the course but when the trial was done he simply took his friends off to do something with them.

7 September

The update had come out. Everyone was to send in their visors and get a watch that would allow them to use their Game screens in real life and play the game on the screen if they wanted. Playing the game on the screen though was vastly limited. It also had all of Hermione's suggestions. So playing on the screen was limited to customization, Friends, calls, and things like that. They still didn't get to choose what type of magic they could use but there were tons of new types of magic.

Hermione was grateful that her screen allowed her to call her parents and keep in contact with them while at Magic School. Needless to say, they were thrilled as well. Hermione was after all an only child and they'd sent her to a magic school in Scotland with no way to contact her.

Luca was not thrilled. He was in Magical Mysteries 101 and they were learning something new but he had a problem with what they were being told they had to do. They were learning about quests today and had been partnered up. He was with Hermia.

"I HATE YOU, GRIGORY!" he snapped.

"AH!" Grigory cried picking Luca up. "Don't say that! Please! I can't live without the love of my beloved baby bunny fairy!"

Grigory went on and on in this exaggerated for a while before Luca got fed up and just got free and marched off with Hermia running after him.

They were out in the forest and there were quest markers all over.

"I'm not taking orders from you!" Luca snapped at her. "I've heard how bossy you are and how you always have to be right and in control. Well, I'm not having it!"

She was clearly shocked that he was taking that tone with her and even more shocked that he didn't plan on listening to her.

"Okay, we have to do all the quests around here and find the "Mysterious Reward". "Luca said nodding. "They wouldn't give us anything that we magically can't do yet so most of these probably don't require the use of magic."

Hermia didn't know if she agreed with that or not and wasn't given a chance to voice her opinion as Luca was walking over to the first quest. Not the one she'd been thinking of doing first at all.

"Okay, I get it." Luca declared. "I know how to do this. It's a Foraging quest. I did a lot of Foraging to gather supplies for my Black Paint potion. This is one of the ingredients. Actually, this is one of the ingredients in all of the paint potions. Only, one ingredient sets them all apart."

"The one that actually gives the paint its color." Hermia answered. She'd never actually read about paint potions but it was a safe guess.

"Exactly." Luca agreed. "Now, do exactly as I say."

Hermia was shocked. She hadn't known about Foraging or the Foraging Pouch at all. She thought that she knew every feature of the game. How had she not known of this? She was also shocked to find out that doing this was raising her Herbology level. Incredible. She wondered if she should give being paint a try. She would love her room to be a nice shade of violet.

They went around doing a lot of Foraging quests.

"They are giving us everything we need for paint." Luca informed her what seemed like forever later. "All we need now are the plants that actually give the paint their colors and I know exactly what those plants are. Follow me."

They flew along to the next plant to see that Luca was right and it was a quest.

"I knew it. They are making us gather everything we need for paint!" Luca cried. "I was going to do this anyway so this is perfect. But I wonder what the Mystery Reward at the end will be."

"I'm dying to know myself." Hermia told him.

Luca couldn't care if she was curious about the item he had a lot of work to do. They were missing a lot of plants that would change the colors of the paint. He idly wondered how the other teams were doing. They hadn't seen any of them.

"There's really a trick to foraging these plants isn't there?" Hermia wondered as she shook her hand.

"I told you to be careful. The Hightail Hydrandra is prickly and if you do it wrong it can poison you." Luca lectured. "But if you want violet paint then this is the plant you need."

"Of course it is." Hermia grumbled. "Naturally."

She watched Luca shrug at her. She was beginning to get annoyed with this quest. But she had to finish it and she had to finish it with Luca. She'd been thrilled when she found out that they were working together. This entire time she was trying her best to befriend him but she didn't think that it was going well. Sometimes they could talk but most of the time he found her to be annoying. She couldn't win. Why was she so bad at making friends?

"This is it." Luca whispered as they hid in the bushes. "The most dangerous plant yet. This is Baccara Rosa. One of the most deadly plants in the known universe. Our last quest will be here. Don't worry I'm good at this. I've made a lot of black paint." he nodded to himself. "Now you're going to need your Botany gloves." He put his on and she was doing the same seconds later. "Do exactly what I say and we could make it out of this virtually unharmed."

Hermia was almost shaking what were the teachers thinking sending them to collect from the most dangerous plant in the known universe? She followed directions and only got what was required of her by the quest before backing off.

Luca on the other hand gathered until he was hit with the max cooldown. He'd done that for everything though. She'd come back and do it if she wanted or needed to. She wanted to get this quest over with because it was taking her entire night in the game.

When Luca was finally done scrolls appeared before them. Two for each of them.

You have taken it upon yourselves to complete the hard version of this quest with a perfect score. You have earned the following rewards:

x2 scrolls

REP with Teachers of Alfea

REP with Griselda

REP with Faragonda

£100.70

"We did that on hard mode?" Hermia wondered.

"Oh, I didn't realize that I was doing this quest on hard..." Luca said. "Actually, mine says that I did mine on Master version and that is the hardest version there is. I got way more rewards."

Rewards cont:

Plant Pots

Mystery Reward

Paint Tracers- Stars

Additional 1500 exp

Room Decorations

Hermia had already figured out what Luca had done to get the Master Version of the quest. He'd collected everything to the max cool down. Why hadn't she done what he'd done? Now she was missing out on rewards! It was so annoying and frustrating.

"My little Bunny Fairy and Hermia got the highest score today!" Grigory happily told the class as he held Luca. "Luca completed this quest on Master Version. The hardest difficulty there is. Now you'll all be happy to know that you can retake this quest and most quests that we do in my class until you complete them on Master Difficulty. You'll only get rewards for each completed difficulty though. Okay, class dismissed."

Hermia was thrilled to hear that she could still get the best rewards. She can't believe that was a thing. How were there still things about this game that she didn't know?

Luca had been wondering what those scrolls are so he opened one.

This is an ancient scroll that has long thought to be lost. It is filled with powerful magic even if what is contained within may not seem like powerful magic.

Inside is the following Potionology Recipe:

Black Paint

This is the earliest known recipe for this Potion.

"I have discovered a treasure." Luca declared in awe. "What is the second one?"

This is an ancient scroll that has long thought to be lost. It is filled with powerful magic even if what is contained within may not seem like powerful magic.

Inside is the following spell:

Shield

This is the earliest known text for this spell.

"Incredible."

Due to having found such a rare treasure you have unlocked a new feature.

Library has been unlocked.

Due to having Planting Pots you've unlocked a new feature.

Conservatory has been unlocked.

"Oh, so those are the mystery gifts." Luca nodded. "I like them very much."

He decided that maybe learning how to shield from the earliest version of the spell might be easier. So he studied it in his study which he'd decorated a bit with what he'd been given from his quest.
