After everyone left, Mal finally found herself alone with her thoughts. She knows that her friends and family want her and the baby to be well, but she needs to be alone. She needs to think without a million voices talking to and about her.
Mal is still coming to terms with the idea of having someone living inside her, and now she also has to understand this problem more. Her surprise was beginning to wear off, but now she doesn't even know what to think.
Mal threw his head back, thinking about how this was becoming a bigger snowball than she imagined. There's a small possibility that this baby doesn't have the magic of the scepter, and everyone is holding on to that hope, but for the queen, it's already a fact that the baby is full of evil magic.
She tries to distract herself by listening to her music and watching the news, which is silly because the news is again showing the group "against the reign of King Benjamin". She doesn't even want to imagine when they find out about her unconventional pregnancy. She will give it to Auradon an heir to the throne who will be like her or her mother, or worse. For a moment, Mal laughs at this. Seeing the conservative citizens discover that the royal heir has magic it will be a funny scene.
"Hi." Someone knocks on the door, and when she raises her eyes, she sees the most beautiful face for herself. " Can I come in?"
" Yeah, sure." She wipes her face so he can't see what she's been doing for hours. "This is still your room too, right?"
"Were you crying?" He caresses her face, running his thumbs over her cheeks. "Sorry about before, it's your life and your body."
"Come here." She pulls him closer. She let him sit down and leaned back against the headboard so that she could lean against him and feel embraced. "I forgive you, King Benjamin." She kissed him on the cheek. "They're getting on your nerves, huh?" She showed him the news.
"The same as always. There's nothing a very competent king and queen can't take care of." He says this, smiling and kissing her. "And you two?" He touches her belly, she which still feels strange. "Any nausea, flashing eyes or anything symptom?"
" Not yet."
She says it with that smile she has and uses when she doesn't like the subject.
"I know it's scary, but I know it'll work out."
Ben kisses her hair and hugs her closer.
"I know."
Mal doesn't want to talk about it with him, even though he's the baby's father, he wouldn't understand how she's feeling.
"What's wrong?"
He asks, looking at her.
"What?"
"I know you, Mal, you're thinking about something."
"How can you be sure of that?"
"The seven years I've been with you."
He smiled.
" It's just that I..." She searched for words to tell him what was on her mind. "It's just that it's so much magic for someone who hasn't even formed a body yet."
"Yeah, I know, it's crazy, but everything's going to be fine."
He assures her, lying down more comfortably on the bed.
"And if it's not?"
She turned to ask an innocent question.
"What do you mean?"
They've created a safe environment for conversation, there are no subjects they can't talk about.
"Ben, you realize how powerful my mother was, and this thing will be too."
She spoke calmly, wanting him to see her point of view.
"Thing?" A little surprised at the way she refers to her baby, he gets up and sits down further away. "We're not sure, Mal."
"But what if, Ben?"
"Let's think not, okay?"
He got out of bed and walked away from her.
"Even with the evidence screaming yes?"
Even though he was far away, he spoke his mind.
"But you don't know!"
Honestly, Mal wanted to shout at him so that he could see what only she seemed to realize.
"And neither do you!"
And there began an argument between the two of them that wouldn't end any time soon.

Enchanted Florest
" This child is not a threat."
Nanny says this to her sister and Rashid before they try to continue talking.
"What?"
Rashid asks curiously.
"You have to stop seeing this baby as the worst thing in the world, because it's not."
She says it quietly.
"Do you know that there's a risk of this child having Maleficent's magic? The woman we literally call the Mistress of Evil?"
The Fairy Godmother recalls being far from being as calm as her sister.
"And my daughter too." She still hates that everyone sees Maleficent as the Queen of All Evil. "She didn't have any evil magic, she used it in a bad way. It's different."
"Look, I know you still love her and defend her, but it doesn't change the fact that her magic isn't good, or do you think Ursula has good magic too?"
Helena speaks with a certain lack of patience.
"As far as I remember, Ursula is the daughter of Poseidon, and I don't think you want to speak ill of one of the Olympian gods, do you, Helena? Magic isn't a problem; it's who manipulates it; you know that all too well."
She warns, reminding them both that one is a school principal and the other is a wizard and knows a lot about magic.
"Nanny, I know that." Rashid says something that even Helena didn't know. "It doesn't scare me that the baby has so much magic, but Mal. How will she...you know..." He still can't say out loud what he and Merlin have discovered.
"She'll be fine, I promise." Nanny reads his thoughts to answer the doubt that is destroying him inside. "But you both have something else to worry about."
"What? Worse than an incredibly powerful baby?"
Fairy Godmother asks, still not agreeing with their idea.
"Helena, for some reason I'm having the same dreams as you, and I don't like it." She says this, feeling very much herself. "I've been reading some old notes, and I think the Book really is being written again."
"Book? What book?"
Rashid asks.
"What about the sisters' secret?"
Helena asks.
"We've never talked about it, and Rashid will be a great help."
Nanny assures her.
"How will I be of help?"
The wizard asked questions, not liking being lost in the discussion.
"The Book of Fairy Tales is being written again."
"We're not sure."
Fairy Godmother warns.
"Really, Helena? Anyway, my notes. There's a note from an old friend. I've been going through these scribbles, and look what I found." She went over to the bookshelf to pick up the papers she'd read during the day. "Here, right here." She points to the paper. " The book will be written again when the book see that there is a story that deserves to be written and eternalized."
"Wait, let's go slowly, is the Book of Fairy Tales being written?"
Rashid asks, trying to understand the sisters.
"No."
"Yes."
They both said it at the same time.
"Make up your minds."
"Look, had several princesses afterward, why did he only start writing again now?"
"Because only now has something changed." Rashid commented. "Which story is he writing?"
"We think it's Ben and Mal's."
"What? You know how good that would be for us, we just had to find him and see the ending to know what to do now."
Rashid gets excited about the possibility of solving all his problems.
"It's not that easy."
The fairy remembers.

Beast Castle
The couple's quarrel went on for a long time, and there were so many things they said to each other that it's not even worth saying them all. Mal sees that nothing will work out, and Ben tries to smooth things over.
"Why do you have to be so pessimistic?" He asks angrily.
Ben asks angrily. Since they've been fighting for a while, his face is already red, his hair is messy, and his crown is on the floor.
"Why can't you see the way I see?"
She asks. She had taken off her heart rate monitor so that he wouldn't see how altered her heart rate was.
"Mal..."
"Maybe this baby is our doom, Ben!"
She finally says what has been on her mind since the beginning of the conversation.
"What?"
He slows down his words, seeing in her eyes that she really does feel that way. It's not just a negative view, she really thinks the baby is a threat.
