It was a clear and sunny day out in the Caribbean, and the HMS Interceptor sails through miles of blue water, leaving a long white wake in its path across the sea with Devon, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Luna, Spyro, Cynder, Hiccup, Toothless, Astrid, Stormfly, Fishlegs, Meatlug, Snotlout, Hookfang, Tuffnut, Ruffnut, Barf and Belch, and the Motley Crew onboard as they make haste for Port Royal, putting as much distance as they could from the cursed island of Isla de Muerta. Knowing that Captain Barbossa and his cursed crew were hot on their tails, it was only a matter of time until the pirates would catch up to them.
Down in the lower deck, Will Turner tends to Elizabeth Swann as they sat together alone at a small wooden table.
"What sort of man a trades a man's life for a ship?" Elizabeth says
"Pirate." Will says
Elizabeth stares down at the cut in her left-hand, inflicted by Barbossa when he tried to use her blood to lift the curse of the Aztec Gold. Will gently took her hand as he gazes down at it.
"Here. Let me." Will says
"Thank you." Elizabeth says
Will applied a bandage to Elizabeth's wounded hand, wrapping it around her palm and being careful not to cause her any pain.
"You said you gave Barbossa my name instead of yours. Why?" Will asks
"I don't know." Elizabeth says
Will tightens the bandage, and Elizabeth gasps and hisses in pain, pulling her hand back.
"I'm sorry. Blacksmith's hands. I know they're rough." Will says
"No. I mean, yes, they are, but..." Elizabeth says
Will finishes up with the bandage, securing it by tying the knot, and massages Elizabeth's hand, rubbing both sides. He immediately stopped, realizing his mistake, but the young woman implores him for his kind treatment.
"Don't stop." Elizabeth says softly
Will glances up at Elizabeth and they both stare into each other's eyes romantically. The young man and woman lean closer as if they were about to kiss, but their faces stopped only inches apart.
"Elizabeth..." Will says
Elizabeth takes Will's right-hand and guides it down her chest, then hands him the pirate medallion. Will gazes down at the gold coin with surprise.
"Where did you get this?" Will asks
"It's yours. From the day we found you, drifting at sea." Elizabeth says
"After all this time... I thought I'd lost it. It was a gift from my father... He sent it to me." Will says
Lifting his head up, Will held a questioning look on his face. He didn't understand why his love had this treasure in her possession.
"Why did you take it?" Will asks
"Because I was afraid that you were a pirate. That would've been awful." Elizabeth says
As he stared at her, the young man made a stunning realization.
"It wasn't your blood they needed. It was my father's blood... My blood..." Will says
Will glances down at the medallion and closes it in his hand, then lowers his head, shutting his eyes in despair.
"The blood of a pirate." Will says
"I'm so sorry. Please forgive me." Elizabeth says
Angered by the discovery of his pirate lineage, Will Turner slams the medallion down on the table. Elizabeth decided that he needed some time alone, and got up to leave the ship's hold, forestalling whatever romance that was between them.
Elsewhere in the Caribbean, Barbossa sat in the captain's cabin at the wooden table with his pet monkey sitting on it's hanging perch on his right, while Jack Sparrow stood across from them on the other side as they had their meeting.
"So you expect to leave me standing on some beach with nothing but a name and your word it's the one I need and watch you sail away on my ship?" Barbossa asks chuckling in amusement at the last part
"No. I expect to leave you standing on some beach with absolutely no name at all, watching me sail away on my ship, and then I'll shout the name back to you. Savvy?" Jack says walking around the left-side of the table, gesturing to himself with both hands before gesturing to Barbossa
"But that still leaves us with the problem of me standing on some beach with naught but a name and your word it's the one I need." Barbossa says
Jack leans over the table and picks up a green apple from the silver metal fruit bowl in the center with his right-hand before continuing their conversation.
"Of the two of us, I am the only one who hasn't committed mutiny. Therefore, my word is the one we'll be trusting." Jack says
Going over to another chair on his side, Jack sits down and kicks his feet up on the table, crossing his right-leg over the other.
"Although, I suppose I should be thanking you, because, in fact, if you hadn't betrayed me and left me to die, I would have an equal share in that curse, same as you. Funny old world, ain't it?" Jack says taking a bite out of his apple
"Hmm." Barbossa hums nodding his head
Jack offers Barbossa his apple as a way of taunting him since he knew his former first mate couldn't enjoy the taste with the curse upon him. The meeting was soon interrupted as Bo'sun enters the room with news.
"Captain. We're coming up on the Interceptor." Bo'sun says
Upon hearing that, Barbossa's monkey jumps down from it's perch, landing infront of Jack, and scurries off toward the door, screeching excitedly.
Heading outside with Barbossa, Jack leans out over the starboard side of the Pearl, and saw the Interceptor out in the distance, then continues up the stairs to the quarterdeck. Barbossa takes out his spyglass and puts it up to his right-eye, focusing on the brig until Jack's mouth blocks his view with his breath fogging up the magnifying glass.
"I'm having a thought here, Barbossa." Jack says
Lowering his spyglass, Barbossa listens to Jack as he offered his proposition.
"What say we run up a flag of truce, I scurry over to the Interceptor, and I negotiate the return of your medallion, eh? What say you to that?" Jack asks
Same old Jack Sparrow, always negotiating and plotting. Glaring at the wily pirate, Barbossa gave him his obvious response.
"Now you see, Jack, that's exactly the attitude that lost you the Pearl. People are easy to search when they're dead. Besides, seein' as how the Pearl's mine, letting you go doesn't seem to fall within my interest." Barbossa says
"Odd. I wasn't really concerned about your interest." Jack says
"Hmph." Barbossa scoffs
Closing up his spyglass, Barbossa glances off to his right at Bo'sun, giving him an order.
"Lock him in the brig." Barbossa says
Grabbing him by his left-shoulder, Bo'sun drags Jack Sparrow off the quarterdeck and down below to the Pearl's brig. Barbossa takes the green apple from his old nemesis and stares down at the half-bitten fruit in his right-hand for at least five seconds before throwing it angrily to the left out into the sea.
Over on the Interceptor, Devon, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Luna, Spyro, Cynder, the Viking Teens and their dragons along with the Motley Crew were well aware of the Black Pearl, and the sailors ran frantically around the deck. Elizabeth emerges onto the main deck as Gibbs shouts orders.
"Hands aloft to loose ta'gallants! With this wind at her stern, she'll carry every sail we've got!" Gibbs shouts
"What's happening?" Elizabeth asks
"The Black Pearl! She's gaining on us!" Anamaria says
Devon, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Luna, Toothless, Hiccup, Astrid, Fishlegs, and Elizabeth look over the starboard side of the Interceptor to see the pirate ship out in the distance behind them, surrounded by a huge fog bank, and they climb up onto the quarterdeck.
"This is the fastest ship in the Caribbean." Elizabeth says
"You can tell them that after they've caught us." Anamaria says
"Yeah. That pirate ship is moving really fast." Fishlegs whimpers still looking out at the Black Pearl
"Not helping, Fishlegs." Astrid says leaning her body left toward the chubby Viking
"There's got to be some way to escape them." Hiccup says
"We're shallower in the draft, right?" Elizabeth asks walking over to Anamaria
"Aye." Anamaria says
"Well, can't we lose them amongst the shoals?" Elizabeth asks
Gibbs glances over his left-shoulder to the nearby shoals in the distance, then turns back to face Anamaria, agreeing with Elizabeth's idea.
"We don't have to outrun 'em long! Just long enough!" Gibbs says
The dark-skinned smuggler nods her head in agreement and begins turning the helm of the ship to the right.
"Lighten the ship! Stem to stern!" Anamaria shouts
"Anything we can afford to lose, see that's its lost!" Gibbs shouts turning to his left toward the crew
"You heard him, gang! Throw the cargo overboard!" Devon says turning to his friends
After saying that, Devon throws his legs over to the left as he vaults over the railing of the quarterdeck, jumping down to the main deck with Luna, and both he and his friends scramble to help the crew dispose of the cargo to gain speed. Luna and Toothless both grab a barrel with their mouths and toss them over the starboard side of the ship, followed by Donald and Goofy as they carried a crate on both sides and toss it overboard. As he and Sora lift up a crate and throw it into the sea on the port side, Devon glances back at the Pearl over his left-shoulder to see it was growing larger as it draws near.
"It's getting closer!" Fishlegs exclaims
Devon looks over to his left at Fishlegs as he said this, then looks over at Cynder as an idea quickly came into mind. He remembered that she has control of her Wind element, which they could use to add more speed to the Interceptor.
"Cynder! We could use some wind!" Devon says
The black dragoness looks up at the main sail above her, then looks back down at the Keyblade Wielder, nodding her head in acknowledgment.
"On it!" Cynder says
Jumping off the deck with a flap of her wings, Cynder flies up counterclockwise around the main mast three times until she stops into a hover behind the large white sail. From there, the black dragoness blows strong gusts of wind onto the sails, making the Interceptor pick up speed as it moves slightly faster across the waters.
On the Black Pearl, Jack Sparrow was brought down below to the ship's brig and shoved into the one of the two holding cells, specifically the one on the starboard side. Bo'sun shuts the cell door and locks it with a grunt. As he looked around the floors of his cell, Jack noticed that there was water in the brig.
"Apparently, there's a leak." Jack says
Jack's concerns fell on deaf ears as Bo'sun immediately heads back up top to the main deck without a word. In his cell, Jack noticed a hole in the ship's hull, a tiny window to the sea outside. He peered through it with his right-eye and saw a barrel floating by in the water, much to his confusion and curiosity.
Dozens of crates and barrels floated from the Interceptor back toward the Black Pearl. Some of the cargo simply floated past the pirate ship, while a few were crushed undertow as it sailed over them. Up on deck, Captain Barbossa saw the line of cargo being tossed overboard. It was obvious the crew onboard the Interceptor were trying to lighten their load on the ship in order to gain speed, but it mattered not. He was confident the Pearl would catch up to her prey. Putting down his spyglass, Barbossa shouts orders to his crew.
"Haul on the main brace! Make ready the guns!" Barbossa commands
Barbossa glances back over his right-shoulder to Bo'sun as he comes up on deck to join him and gives him an order as well.
"And run out the sweeps." Barbossa says
The pirates on deck grunt as they pull on the ropes along the sides of the ship, lifting up the lids that covered the cannons. At the mainsail, Pintel quickly pulls down on a rope with one hand after the other, hoisting up the Pearl's black flag, which unfurled in the wind, revealing the black-and-white skull and crossed swords of Jolly Roger.
Back on the Interceptor, Will Turner emerges onto the deck and looks around as everyone continued throwing cargo overboard into the sea. He runs up to the starboard side of the ship and stands up on the railing, gazing back at the Black Pearl as it pursues them. Nine long, galley-style oars emerged from the nine twelve-pound cannons on both sides of the ship as the pirates started to row, adding to the Pearl's already increasing speed. Marty the Dwarf was about to pull away one of the ship's cannons, but Will stops him by putting his right-foot down on it.
"We're gonna need that." Will says
Despite their efforts, the Pearl continued to gain on the heroes, and was now close behind the Interceptor. Devon, Sora, Luna, Spyro, Hiccup, Astrid, Toothless, Elizabeth, and Gibbs return to the quarterdeck and look back at the pirate ship. Cynder lands down on the deck alongside Spyro after blowing into the main sail with her Wind element for several minutes, not wanting to waste any more of her energy.
"It was a good plan, up till now." Anamaria says
"Those pirates are really determined to catch us." Cynder says
"No matter what we do, we just can't shake them." Spyro says
"Then, we're just gonna have to fight!" Sora says putting up his right fist
"Sora's right. We have to make a stand. We must fight! Load the guns!" Will says making his way up to the quarterdeck
"With what?" Anamaria asks
"Anything! Everything! Anything we have left." Will says
Gibbs stares at Will Turner for a moment, but soon agrees with this new plan. The old sea dog turns to his left and descends down to the main deck, shouting a new order to the crew.
"Load the guns! Case shot and langrage! Nails and crushed glass! With a will!" Gibbs shouts
Gibbs and the Motley Crew descend below to the enclosed lower deck and load the Interceptor's guns with silverware, nails, and glass with some help from Devon, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Hiccup, Astrid, Fishlegs, Snotlout, Tuffnut and Ruffnut. Marty the Dwarf stuffed some silverware into his cannon, while Gibbs stood behind him, taking a swig of his flask until Marty takes it from his hand and loads it into the cannon.
Once the guns were loaded, everyone heads back up top to the main deck. Devon jumps up onto the starboard side of the ship and holds onto the rigging rope as he gazes out at the pirate ship with his female Night Fury beside him on his left as she stood on her hind legs and rested her paws on the railing. On the Pearl, Barbossa stood up on the quarterdeck of his ship with his screeching monkey perched on his left-shoulder as he kept his gaze fixed on the Interceptor. While Barbossa smiled with confidence, Devon narrowed his eyes with a serious stare, and Luna bared her teeth as she growled. Just like in Port Royal, they could feel the villainous pirate was looking right at them.
"The Pearl's gonna luff up on our port quarter! She'll rake us without ever presenting a target!" Gibbs says
"Lower the anchor on the right side." Elizabeth says
Anamaria and Gibbs stare at Elizabeth as though she was crazy.
"On the starboard side!" Elizabeth says turning to Gibbs on her right
"It certainly has the element of surprise." Will says shrugging his shoulders and agreeing with Elizabeth
"You're daft, lady! You both are!" Anamaria says
"Daft like Jack!" Gibbs says smiling
Turning to his right, Gibbs walks up to the railing of the upper deck and gives out another order to the crew.
"Lower the starboard anchor!" Gibbs commands
The sailors stared at Gibbs and shared confused glances with one another.
"Do it, you gobs, or it's you we'll load into the cannons!" Gibbs shouts
"You heard him! Drop the anchor!" Snotlout says
Obeying orders, the crew releases the anchor, which drops into the blue water with a splash and began to drag along the bottom of the ocean floor.
On the Pearl, Barbossa held his monkey in his left-arm and scratched it's head with his right-hand as he continued observing the Interceptor. He noticed the ship's anchor dropping into the sea, and his eyes narrowed in suspicion, knowing the crew onboard were up to something.
Hooking onto a reef, the anchor line pulled taut, and with a loud groan, the Interceptor began to pivot around the anchor, her bow almost pulled underwater. Below decks, anything not nailed down slid across the room, including the medallion. Sliding across the table, the gold coin fell to the floor. Everyone on deck stumbled around and struggled to maintain their balance from the ship's sudden movement.
"Let go!" Elizabeth says
Anamaria releases the helm and the wheel spins quickly to the left as the Interceptor makes a sharp turn to the right. This risky maneuver definitely caught Barbossa by surprise as he took three steps forward, while his monkey jumped down from his arm and scurried away.
"They're clubhaulin'!" Barbossa exclaims
Glancing back to his first mate over his right-shoulder, the Pirate Captain quickly shouts an order to turn the ship away.
"Hard a port! Rack the starboard oars!" Barbossa commands
"Hard a port!" Bo'sun shouts glancing back over his left-shoulder at the two pirates steering the helm
As the Interceptor turned to the right, the Black Pearl turned to the left away from it, and the oars were pulled back inside the Pearl's lower deck. Both ships now came parallel to each other, and both crews manned their stations at the cannons.
"Keep her steady, man." Will says passing Gibbs
The cursed pirates onboard the Black Pearl shouted and taunted at those onboard the Interceptor as they came up alongside the ship, while the Motley Crew shouted back, ready for a fight. Luna, Toothless, Stormfly, Meatlug, Hookfang, Barf and Belch growled, hissed, and snarled at the pirates, with their riders close by. Grabbing a rope with his left-hand, Devon jumps up onto the side of the Interceptor and summons Soul Calibur into his right-hand. Sora, Donald, and Goofy stood behind him and summoned their weapons. And Spyro and Cynder took to the air, flapping their wings above the deck. On the Pearl, Barbossa pulls out his cutlass from it's scabbard and took three steps forward.
"Now!" Will shouts
"Fire!" Devon shouts pointing Soul Calibur at the cursed pirates
"Fiiire!" Barbossa shouts
"Fire all!" Elizabeth shouts
The first shot of the cannons was fired by the Interceptor, followed by the Pearl as she returned fire with her cannons. Luna and Toothless both fired a plasma blast at the pirate ship, and the rest of the dragons followed their lead with Hookfang, Meatlug, and Barf and Belch shooting Kerosene Gel blasts, lava blasts, and gas-ignited fireballs. Spyro used his Fire Breath and Cynder with her Shadow Breath as they blasted the Black Pearl with red-orange and dark blue fireballs. The sea air was filled with the sounds of cannons blasting, and the blue sky turned gray with smoke.
Still locked in the brig, Jack Sparrow watched through his peephole as the cannons fired until a blast rang out. His eyes widened and he ducked down and out of the way just as a cannonball shoots through the ship's hull, blowing a huge hole in his cell wall.
"Stop blowing holes in my ship!" Jack shouts
The Interceptor and the Black Pearl continued trading gunfire and cannonfire for well over a minute. Although they were experienced pirates, the cursed crew of the Pearl did not expect such a struggle from the Interceptor's crew, the two Keyblade Wielders, their friends, or their dragons.
Near one of the one of the cannons, Pintel looked at the silverware as a fork stabs into a wooden pillar close to the right-side of his head, then looks over at Ragetti on his left, who had another fork in his wooden eye until he grabs it and yanks it out. Both pirates stare at the wooden eye still attached to the fork, then turn and gaze out at the Interceptor as silverware surrounded the square frame of their cannon.
In the Pearl's brig, Jack found Gibbs' flask and tried drinking out of it, only to discover it was empty. Then, he looked up and something caught his eye. The cell door had been blasted open. Jack's luck had taken another positive turn. Now free, the Pirate Captain pushed the door further open and made his way out.
Outside, Barbossa and his cursed pirates continued to lay siege on the Interceptor, while Devon, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Elizabeth, Will, Gibbs, Anamaria, and the Motley Crew defended themselves. Devon, Sora, and Donald utilized their magic against the pirates using their Fire spells, while Goofy shielded them using his Knight Shield, the Viking Teens stayed close to their dragons as they continued blasting the pirates with their firepower, and Elizabeth, Will, Gibbs, and Anamaria fought back with their musket rifles and flintlock pistols as they tried desperately to think of a new plan.
"We could use a few more ideas, lass!" Gibbs says
"It's your turn!" Elizabeth says firing a shot at the pirates
"We need us a devil's dowry!" Gibbs says
"We'll give them her!" Anamaria says pointing the pistol in her left-hand at Elizabeth
"She's not what they're after." Will says looking towards the two women
Elizabeth looks down at her neck and realized that Will was right. There was only one thing that the pirates wanted from them. Something of much more value.
"The medallion." Elizabeth says
Without another word, Will turned to his left and headed belowdecks in search of the medallion, which was slowly beginning to fill with water. He went over to the table where he last left the gold coin, only to discover that it was turned over on it's side. This meant that it was hidden somewhere under the water.
Back up on deck, the sea battle continued as Devon, Sora, their friends, and the Motley Crew exchanged fire with the cursed pirates.
Devon throws Soul Calibur at a pirate on the Pearl's main deck, while Sora throws his Kingdom Key at another pirate. Both Keyblades hit their targets as they spin through the air and fly into the two men, knocking them down onto their backs. Nearby, Luna shoots a plasma blast at a pirate, hitting him with a direct shot to the chest that sent the man flying, blasting a chunk of the Pearl's railing in the process, and Toothless shoots down another pirate from the top of the Pearl's foremast, sending him falling to the main deck.
As the battle raged on between the Interceptor and the Black Pearl, Barbossa shouted at those onboard the opposing ship to surrender, then shouted orders to his men.
"Strike yer colors, ya bloomin' cockroaches! Hands, grapnels at the ready! Prepare to board!" Barbossa shouts
Below in the enclosed gun deck, Pintel and Ragetti load up a chain-shot, two iron sub-calibre balls, or half-balls, chained together into one of the Pearl's cannon, and light the fuse. Within moments, the cannon fires and the chain-shot spins counterclockwise through the air, shooting through the base of the Interceptor's foremast.
At the same time, Will was moving chairs aside as he searched for the medallion when cannonfire blasts a hole through the Interceptor's hull. The explosion knocks him down to the floor.
The mast began to fall over on it's side. Spyro and Cynder were the first to notice and they quickly flew out of the way. They saw it was descending toward their friends and cried out to warn them.
"Devon! Sora!" Spyro exclaims
"Guys!" Cynder exclaims
Devon, Sora, Luna and the others turned around upon hearing Spyro and Cynder's voices, and they all noticed the falling mast. Their expressions filled with shock.
"Watch out!" Devon shouts
Everyone onboard the Interceptor immediately moved out of the way, avoiding the foremast as it fell over on it's side. While the rest of his crew moved away, Barbossa stood perfectly calm where he was and stared up at the falling mast as it descended towards him. Soon, the broken mast crashes onto the Pearl's main deck with a loud thud. When the smoke cleared and the guns were momentarily silenced, everyone took in the damage. Steaming holes gaped from the side of the Interceptor's hull, while over on the Pearl silverware and glass littered the deck and hull. And the fallen long piece of wood was now a bridge between the two ships. The mast had missed Barbossa by a slight inch.
Belowdecks, Will Turner recovered as he got back on his feet, but now the water was rising even faster from the damage the ship received. The young man rubbed his eyes and shook the water from his head, then looked around at the rising water. In that moment, Will's priorities changed. He knew he had to get out, or else he would drown. Rushing over to the door to the bulkhead, Will pushed against it, but it would not budge.
With the battle going in his favor, the villainous Pirate Captain called out to his men to mount a full assault on the severely damaged Interceptor.
"Pistols and cutlasses, men! Koehler and Twigg to the powder magazine! And the rest of you, bring me that medallion!" Barbossa says
As the cursed pirates hurried across the fallen mast and grabbed lines to swing over the water, Barbossa's pet monkey jumped from it's master's shoulder, crept onto the broken mast, and scurried over to the Interceptor.
Devon, Sora, and their friends recovered as they rose up onto their feet and they turned to the pirates crossing over the sea to board the Interceptor.
Luna and Toothless both fired a plasma blast at two pirates swinging across on ropes, and send them falling into the sea. Stormfly raises the spikes on her tail and swings it to the right, shooting multiple spikes at a pirate as he jumps down from his rope and lands on the deck, hitting him numerous times in the body and causing him to stumble and fall backwards over the side of the ship. Meatlug hovers in the air and rams her head into a pirate, knocking him off his rope, while Hookfang, Barf and Belch each grab a pirate in their jaws and toss them overboard.
Although the heroes were able to fend off a few pirates, several others manage to board the Interceptor and attack. While everyone was busy fighting the pirates, Koehler and Twigg swing over and land on the Interceptor, then head down to the ship's hold with a small barrel of gunpowder in Twigg's right-arm.
Unable to leave the lower deck, Will Turner went to the grate that opened to the main deck, only to find that it too wouldn't budge. He was trapped. With the water steadily rising, the young man calls out to the crew outside.
"Hey! Hey!" Will shouts
There's no response. Desperate to escape, Will grabs a wooden beam and bangs it up against the grate, hoping that someone would hear his cries for help.
"Hey! Below!" Will shouts
Unfortunately for him, Will's voice was drowned out by the sound of the rushing water filling the lower deck, and the fighting that was going on above him.
As the fighting commenced, Jack Sparrow sneaks up onto the deck of the Pearl unnoticed, waiting for his chance to swing over to the Interceptor. One of the pirates, missing his landing, swung back over the water and dropped onto the Pearl's maindeck. Jack caught the rope with his left-hand and glanced back at the man, thanking him for the delivery.
"Thanks very much." Jack says
Grabbing his rope with both hands, Jack jumps out and swings over to the Interceptor, but misses on his first landing. Swinging backwards, he bumps into a pirate about to attack Luna and Toothless, knocking him overboard. The two Night Furies tilted their heads to the right and warbled in bewilderment with a raised brow as they watched the Pirate Captain ride his rope toward the Black Pearl. Eventually, Jack Sparrow swings back over to the Interceptor, and lands down onto the deck next to Gibbs.
"Jack!" Gibbs exclaims
Jack takes out Gibbs' empty flask from the right-side of his waist and hands it back to him with a complaint for the lack of drink.
"Bloody empty!" Jack says
After that, Jack runs off elsewhere on the ship, leaving Gibbs bewildered. A pirate charges at Gibbs, shouting with his sword raised over his head as he attacked. Gibbs blocks the man's blade with his own and punches him across the face, then runs back into battle, letting out a war cry of his own.
Down belowdeck, pieces of wood and debris floated past Will"s hands as he searched the water for any sign of the gold coin. Hearing a screech, he looked up to see Barbossa's monkey stood at a hole in the bulkhead, with the medallion in hand. With one last screech, the small creature turned and leaped outside, leaving Will alone in the rising water.
Back up on deck, Devon, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Luna, Spyro, Cynder, the Viking Teens and the dragons fought off the pirates on one side of the Interceptor, and Elizabeth, Gibbs, and the Motley Crew fought on the other.
Two pirates swing their swords and axes wildly at Spyro and Cynder, who lean their bodies left and right, dodging their strikes until they counter with their own attacks. The purple dragon rams his horns into stomach of the pirate infront of him, causing him to lurch forward, then sends the man flying with a backflip, while the black dragoness smacks the other pirate across the face with her right-paw, and spins around to the right, swinging her tail into the man and knocking him away.
Devon and Sora clashed blades with two pirates, exchanging blows back and forth with high and low strikes. Eventually, after ten strikes, both sides engage in a bladelock, but that soon ended when the young heroes shoved the pirates back and knocked them away with their Keyblades through a combined spinning slash. Devon and Sora turned to each other and nodded, then they went off to help the rest of their friends.
Hiccup, Astrid, Fishlegs, Snotlout, Tuffnut and Ruffnut faced their own group of pirates alongside their dragons. Astrid was the more capable warrior as she fought with her two-handed double-bladed axe, though the rest of the Viking Teens were able to hold their own using swords found on deck.
A pirate swings his axe down at Hiccup, but he blocks with his sword, and counters with a kick to the stomach using his metal prosthetic leg, and a left hook across the face. Another pirate charges at Hiccup from the left, but Toothless jumps in and smacks the man away with a swipe of his tail. The Night Fury turns and looks back at his rider, who smiles and nods his head.
"Thanks, bud." Hiccup says
Toothless smiles and nods his head back, then the young Viking and dragon stand together as more pirates ran toward them.
Astrid was in a bladelock with a pirate as she held her axe up horizontally in defense, but she soon swings the man's sword away to the left and swings her axe into the pirate's chest, knocking him down. She then turns and faces another pirate, who had a black bandana, and a wicked smile full of crooked teeth, armed with his cutlass.
"Hello, pretty. You look lovely. I bet you look even better wearing nothing at all. Heh heh heh." Pirate #1 chuckles
"Ugh!" Astrid groans in disgust
Astrid kicks the filthy man in the stomach with her left-foot, making him drop his sword and lurch forward. She then follows up with a high kick to the head using her right-foot, and a roundhouse kick across the face with the same foot, making the pirate spin around three times. Finally, Astrid pulls her right-hand back and delivers a strong puch straight to the face, knocking the man out as he fall backwards onto the deck.
"In your dreams, pirate." Astrid says
Nearby, a pirate swings his cutlass left and right at Stormfly. The Deadly Nadder leans her head back, dodging the attacks until she grabs the blade on the fifth strike and pulls the weapon out of the man's grip. Then, Stormfly spins around to the left and slams her spiked tail into the pirate.
Snotlout engages with a dark-skinned pirate as they exchanged blows, swinging their swords left and right, high and low. After four strikes, they clash in a brief bladelock, then the burly Viking punches the man straight in the face with his left-hand.
"Ha! Take that, pirate!" Snotlout says
Unknown to Snotlout, a taller, muscular pirate stood right behind him. He was shirtless with a gray anchor and a brown wooden helm tattooed to his hairy chest, wearing khaki trousers and black seaboots, and armed with a large scimitar.
"How 'bout you try taking me on, son?" Pirate #2 says with a deep, gruff voice
Snotlout's eyes widened when he heard the new voice. Slowly, he turns around nervously to his right and faces the large brute of a pirate that towered over him, staring up in shock. The man narrowed his brown eyes and growled with a nasty frown.
"Aaaah!" Snotlout screams
Before the huge pirate could do anything to Snotlout, Hookfang snatches him up in his jaws and shakes him around for a bit, then throws the man overboard. After dealing with the pirate, the Monstrous Nightmare turns to his rider, who sighed with relief.
"Ahh... Thanks, Hookfang." Snotlout says
Fishlegs stood by Meatlug as she protected him from three pirates that approached them. The pirates growled and chuckled evilly with their weapons, while the brown Gronckle narrowed her eyes and growled back, baring her teeth. Within moments, the pirates all charge toward the chubby Viking and his dragon, each shouting loudly with their own war cries. Meatlug moves infront of Fishlegs and swings her head left and right at two of the pirates, then spins around to the left, swinging her bludgeon-like tail at the third pirate.
Two pirates attacked Tuffnut and Ruffnut with their swords, swinging left and right, high and low as they advanced toward them. The Thorston Twins parried their blows as best as they could until the pirates caught them off guard. One of the pirates disarmed Tuffnut first, knocking his sword out of his hand.
"Ouch! Ahh!" Tuffnut cries out in pain shaking his right-hand
Ruffnut laughed at her brother's misfortune until her sword was knocked out of her hand while she was distracted.
"Ahh!" Ruffnut cries out in pain shaking her hand
With their opponents disarmed, the two men pointed their weapons at the Thorston Twins.
"Harr harr! Give it up! We got ye surrounded!" Pirate #3 says
Before the pirates could do anything, Barf and Belch drop down behind the two men and smack them away to the right with their long, double-tipped tail.
"Ha! Nice work, Belch!" Tuffnut says
"Yeah! Good one, Barf!" Ruffnut says
Near the quarterdeck, Elizabeth punches a pirate on her left with her right-hand, and turns around to face another pirate on her right. Just as the man raised his sword to attack her, a hand grabs his wrist. It was Jack Sparrow.
"That's not very nice." Jack says pointing to the pirate with his right index finger
While the pirate was distracted, Elizabeth whacks the man in the face with the butt of her rifle, making him fall backwards off the ship and into the sea. Gunfire from the Pearl strikes the railing of the Interceptor, sending bits of wood flying. Jack grabs Elizabeth by her arms and they crouch down into cover.
"Where's the medallion?" Jack asks
"Wretch!" Elizabeth yells
Elizabeth reached out to slap him, but Jack catches her wrist with his right-hand. Noticing her bandaged hand, the pirate smiled.
"Ah. Where's young William?" Jack asks
Elizabeth realized that Will hadn't returned after having gone belowdecks to find the medallion, and looked back at the closed grate over her right-shoulder.
"Will!" Elizabeth gasps
"The young woman runs over to the grate and looks down at the trapped Will Turner.
"Will!" Elizabeth exclaims
"Elizabeth!" Will exclaims
As Elizabeth tried to help Will, Jack saw his last bargaining chip being carried back toward the Black Pearl in the hands of Barbossa's pet.
"Monkey!" Jack exclaims
The Pirate Captain runs and chases after the small creature as it jumps onto the broken mast. Elizabeth tries to move the broken mast off the grate, while Will pushes up from underneath.
"I can't move it!" Elizabeth says
Suddenly, two pirates come up behind Elizabeth and grab her by her arms, pulling the young woman away.
"No!" Elizabeth screams
"Elizabeth!" Will exclaims
Elizabeth, Gibbs, and the rest of the Motley Crew were quickly outnumbered and cornered by the pirates, shoved up against the port side of the Interceptor with swords pointed at them.
"Get 'em!" Pirate #4 shouts
After dealing with the Motley Crew, the cursed pirates began to swarm the world-travelers. Sora, Donald, and Goofy were the first to be overwhelmed as the pirates grabbed them and brought them over to the others.
"Get the dragons!" Pirate #5 shouts
Next up was Spyro and Cynder. Two pirates throw two pairs of bolas at the purple dragon and black dragoness, which wrapped around their small bodies, leaving them unable to move.
Then, the pirates converged on the Viking Teens and their dragons. One pirate grabs Toothless by his head and wrestles him down to the deck, and another holds down his hindquarters and his tail, while two other pirates tied up the Night Fury with some strong rope.
"Toothless!" Hiccup exclaims
Hiccup ran to try and help his dragon, but immediately grabbed from behind by a pirate, who picked him up with a bear hug and carried him away.
Astrid was knocked down by a pirate after receiving a knee to the stomach, but she bounced back up on her feet to attack. However, another pirate grabs the Viking Shieldmaiden from behind and pulls her arms behind her back, forcing her to drop her axe. Stormfly saw that her rider was in trouble, but before she could proceed to help her, a dark-skinned pirate jumps into her face and grabs her nasal horn, wrestling her down onto the deck.
"Hold her!" Pirate #6 shouts
"Tie her up!" Pirate #7 shouts
Several other pirates ran over to help subdue the Deadly Nadder and tied her mouth, wings, and legs up with rope, while Astrid watched helplessly.
"Stormfly!" Astrid exclaims
By this point, Fishlegs, Meatlug, Snotlout, Hookfang, Tuffnut, Ruffnut, and Barf and Belch were all captured by the pirates. Even Luna was overwhelmed by the pirates as they wrestled her down to the deck and tied her up in a similar manner as Toothless. Devon watched helplessly as his friends were quickly subdued one by one until he was all that remained. Soon, the pirates turned on him.
"Nowhere to run, boy." Pirate #8 says
"Oh yeah?" Devon says
Thinking fast, the Keyblade Wielder leaps away to the quarterdeck with a backflip. From there, he jumps up high to the top of the remaining mast, away from the pirates.
While everyone else was captured, Jack Sparrow followed the monkey as it scampered over the fallen mast towards the Black Pearl. On the other side, he reached out to grab the medallion with his right-hand, but was too late as another hand had reached out first. Bringing his gaze up, Jack's eyes landed on Barbossa with the monkey on his left-shoulder.
"Why, thank ye, Jack." Barbossa says
"You're welcome." Jack says smiling
"Not you. We named the monkey Jack." Barbossa says
Turning to his crew, Barbossa raised up the medallion in his right-hand.
"Gents! Our hope is restored!" Barbossa says
The pirates raised their weapons and cheered loudly as victory was theirs.
"Not so fast!" A voice says
In that moment, Devon swings in on his rope and snatches the medallion out of Barbossa's hand as he passes by.
"Huh?" Barbossa says surprised
Barbossa and his crew turned towards Devon as he releases his grip on the rope and performs a backflip in the air, landing on the Pearl's main deck on his feet and turning to face the pirates with a serious stare and the medallion in his right-hand.
Belowdecks, Will Turner stayed above the water for as long as he could until it reached his head. Taking a deep breath, Will descends into the water and tries to pull away the wooden beams caught in the grate to free himself.
At the same time in the ship's hold, Koehler and Twigg had finished creating a trail of gunpowder along a path of wooden planks over the water-filled floor, and Twigg ignites the very end with the fuse of his pistol, creating a large flame that followed black trail. Both pirates laughed and began making their way back to the Pearl as the fiery flame slowly made it's way toward a huge pile of barrels on the other side of the hold, each one filled with explosive gunpowder.
The situation was not looking good for Will Turner. He was running out of air and time. Unable to move the beams lodged into the grate, the young man swims away as he tries to find another way out of the ship, while the flame in the hold got closer and closer to the barrels of gunpowder.
Outside aboard the Black Pearl, the crew of the Interceptor found themselves tied to the ship's mainmast, while Sora, Donald, Goofy, Hiccup, Astrid, Fishlegs, Snotlout, Tuffnut and Ruffnut were tied up with rope nearby, standing next to each other. Luna, Spyro, Cynder, Toothless, and the other dragons were also brought aboard the Pearl, still tied up next to everyone else.
"Any of you so much as thinks the word 'parley', I'll have your guts for garters!" Pintel says pointing his pistol at the Motley Crew, Sora, Donald, Goofy, and the Viking Teens
"Huh? Barley?" Goofy says confused
"Shut yer trap, ya bilge rat!" Pintel growls
Having captured the Motley Crew and the world-travelers, Barbossa and his crew turned and faced Devon as he stood alone with the medallion hanging in his right-hand.
"Now then, I'll be havin' back that medallion. Unless it's more important than their lives." Barbossa says before gesturing to his captives
Devon narrowed his eyes as he stared at the villainous Pirate Captain and grunted under his breath. Tied up with the crew, Elizabeth stared over at the Interceptor. Fires burned over the hull, the remaining sails were ripped and torn, and she believed her beloved Will was still somewhere onboard. Pushing the ropes up and over her head, she slipped free and moved forward. Suddenly, a large explosion bursts upward through the center of the Interceptor, sending a huge column of water and debris high into the air. Devon quickly turned around to his right, hearing the loud explosion behind him, and witnessed the ship's destruction, staring over in shock and surprise. Barbossa laughed and the cursed pirates all cheered. Elizabeth stopped dead in her tracks and stared out in horror.
"Will!" Elizabeth gasps
With rage in her eyes, Elizabeth rushed at Barbossa and attacked him from behind.
"You godless savage!" Elizabeth shouts
Barbossa turns around to his left and grabbed Elizabeth's wrists, while Devon turned back to watch them.
"Welcome back, miss. You took advantage of our hospitality last time. It holds fair now you return the favor." Barbossa says smiling
The villainous Pirate Captain hurls the young woman at a group of dirty pirates, who began to hoot and jeer. They surrounded her, pawing at her hair and dress, while she screamed. At that moment, Will Turner, with his clothes soaking wet, climbs up onto the railing of the Pearl.
"Barbossa!" Will shouts
Everyone turned towards the young man as he revealed himself. Elizabeth smiled with relief as she saw her beloved Will alive and well.
"Will!" Elizabeth gasps with a smile
Will Turner jumps down onto the deck, grabs a pistol, pulls the hammer back, and points it at Barbossa.
"She goes free!" Will shouts
"What's in your head, boy?" Barbossa says
"She goes free." Will says
Barbossa walks up to Will with confidence in his stride and stops only inches away from his pistol.
"You've only got one shot, and we can't die." Barbossa says
Behind Barbossa, Jack leaned over to the left and put his hands flat together, pleading to Will with a quiet voice.
"Don't do anything stupid." Jack whispers
Will glances over at Jack on his right for a moment before going back to Barbossa, then turns and climbs back up onto the ship's railing.
"You can't. I can." Will says pointing the gun at his head underneath his chin
"Like that." Jack groans lowering his head in disappointment
Barbossa glances over at Jack behind his right-shoulder for a moment before turning back to the young man.
"Who are you?" Barbossa asks
"No one, he's no one. A distant cousin of my aunt's nephew, twice removed. Lovely singing voice though, eunuch." Jack says moving around infront of his rival
"My name is Will Turner. My father was 'Bootstrap Bill' Turner. His blood runs in my veins."
Jack lowered his head in disappointment again and went back over to join the Motley Crew, the world-travelers, and the dragons. Barbossa's eyes widened in surprise, while murmurs of understanding began to ripple among the cursed crew of pirates.
"He's the splitting image of ol' Bootstrap Bill, come back to haunt us!" Ragetti says pointing at Will with his left index finger
"On my word, do as I say, or I'll pull this trigger and be lost to Davy Jones' Locker!" Will says
"Name your terms, Mr. Turner." Barbossa says
"Elizabeth goes free!" Will says
"Yes, we know that one. Anythin' else?" Barbossa asks
Will glances over at Devon, Sora, and their friends and demands for their freedom.
"Release Devon, and Sora, and their friends too!" Will says
"Anythin' else?" Barbossa asks
Jack points to himself with both hands, expecting to be freed as well. Will ignores him and points his pistol to the Motley Crew and the dragons, making his last request.
"The crew and the dragons. They are not to be harmed." Will says
Once again, Jack was disappointed by Will's answer. Keeping his gaze on Young Turner, Barbossa took two steps forward. After briefly considering the circumstances, he accepted the deal with a smile.
"Agreed." Barbossa says
After giving Will Turner his word, Barbossa had set course back to Isla de Muerta, but with one stop on the way. Now, the Black Pearl sat off the shore of Black Sam's Spit, a small island that was nothing more than a strip of beach and a few palm trees. Devon and Elizabeth Swann were forced to walk the plank, which extended far out along the starboard side of the Pearl fifteen feet above the rolling waves of the blue Caribbean Sea. The pirates pointed their swords at the Keyblade Wielder and the young woman and they cackled and jeered as they forced them out onto the plank.
"Go, poppet! Walk the plank!" Pintel says
Unable to do anything, Devon and Elizabeth turned around to their right and began walking further out along the plank. The Keyblade Wielder was first with the young woman right behind him, and they soon stopped close to the edge. Elizabeth's dress billowed in the ocean breeze as she stood out on the plank along with Devon. Sora, Donald, Goofy, Hiccup, Astrid, Fishlegs, Snotlout, Tuffnut and Ruffnut were held back to be next, while Spyro, Cynder, Luna, Toothless, Stormfly, Meatlug, Hookfang, Barf and Belch, bound and muzzled, were forced to watch. Will Turner struggled against the pirates that held him and his eyes flashed with anger at the Captain of the Black Pearl.
"Barbossa, you lying bastard! You swore she'd go free!" Will shouts
"Don't dare impugn me honor, boy! I agreed she'd go free, but it was you who failed to specify when or where." Barbossa says glancing over to his right at the young man
After that was said, Will was gagged and brought back over to the Motley Crew, who were still tied to the ship's mast. Turning around to his left, Barbossa faces Sora, Donald, Goofy, and the Viking Teens of Berk.
"And we'll be keeping your dragons to ensure that you lot won't be following us." Barbossa says
The Pirate Captain walks over to the dragons and kneels down to Luna, who gave him an intense glare and a threatening growl, baring her teeth underneath the rope that was wrapped around her snout. Barbossa stared at her for a brief moment and scoffed in amusement before turning back to his captives.
"Don't worry. We'll take good care of them." Barbossa says placing his left-hand on the female Night Fury and patting the top of her head three times
The pirates laughed, while Luna gave off another growl. Rising up straight, Barbossa walked back over toward Elizabeth and Devon as they stood out on the plank.
"Though it does seem a shame to lose something so fine, don't it, lads?" Barbossa says
"Arrr/Aye." The pirates say in agreement
Extending his right-hand, Barbossa asks for the return of the red dress he gave her.
"So I'll be havin' that dress back before you go." Barbossa says
Seeing as she had no choice in the matter, Elizabeth complied and began to unstrip her clothes. She unbuttoned her dress in the front and pulled out of the fine clothing, leaving the young woman with just her simple white shift undergarments, to which all the pirates hooted and whistled. With an angry frown on her face, Elizabeth throws the dress over to Barbossa, who catches it.
"Goes with your black heart." Elizabeth says
Barbossa turns around to his left and walks back over to the rest of the pirates. As he does, he brings the dress up to the right-side his face, feeling the soft silk fabric of the fine clothing.
"Ooh, it's still warm." Barbossa says smiling
Once he was done with the dress, Barbossa tosses it to his crew for their enjoyment, then they all focused back on Devon and Elizabeth on the plank.
"Off you go!" Pintel shouts
Elizabeth stares down at the water below them, then glances back at Will Turner over her right-shoulder, while Devon glances back over his left-shoulder at his rope-bound and muzzled Night Fury, Luna. They stared at each other worriedly for at least ten seconds until Barbossa's first mate, Bo'sun, lost his patience.
"Too long!" Bo'sun says
The dark-skinned pirate stomps down hard on the plank with his right-foot, making it wobble up and down violently. The sudden movement caused Devon and Elizabeth to lose their balance and they fall off different sides of the plank.
"Ah!" Elizabeth gasps
"Oh! Whoa!" Devon exclaims
The Keyblade Wielder and young woman drop into the sea, disappearing beneath the water for a moment before re-emerging to the surface, gasping for air. Up next was Sora, Donald, and Goofy as they were brought forth by the pirates that held them. As they walked out onto the plank, Pintel sped up the execution with his sword.
"Move it!" Pintel says
The pirate pokes Goofy in the back with his sword, causing him to jump and yelp as he felt the blade's sharp point.
"Yeeoow!" Goofy exclaims
The Dog Knight bumps into the Duck Mage and the young teen, and they all fall off from the plank.
"Aaaah!" Sora exclaims
"Waaaak!" Donald exclaims
"Whoa!" Goofy exclaims
Then, the Viking Teens were brought forward to walk the plank. Hiccup and Astrid were first. They proceed out onto the plank all the way to the very end where they stopped. The one-legged Viking and the Viking Shieldmaiden glanced back at the pirates as they jeered and shouted at them, then turned to each other.
"C'mon. Let's get this over with." Astrid says
And so, Hiccup and Astrid jump and fall into the water with a splash. Fishlegs and Snotlout head out onto the plank next and they jump, followed by Tuffnut and Ruffnut. With everyone now floating in the water, they swim away to shore towards the island.
Up on the Pearl, Jack Sparrow was brought forth by Koehler and Twigg as the last victim to walk the plank. Unlike, Devon, Sora, and the rest of their friends whose hands were free, Jack's hands were bound with rope. However, the wily pirate stopped short of the plank and turned to his left as he faced his former first mate.
"I really rather hoped we were past all this." Jack says smiling with innocence
Barbossa places his right-arm around the shoulders of his former captain and smiled.
"Jack. Jack. Did you not notice? That be the same little island that we made you governor of on our last little trip." Barbossa says gesturing to Black Sam's Spit with his head
Jack gazes out at the small isle in the distance, then turns back to Barbossa.
"I did notice." Jack says
"Perhaps you'll be able to conjure up another miraculous escape. But I doubt it." Barbossa says
After saying that, Barbossa draws his cutlass and points it at Jack.
"Off you go." Barbossa says
"Last time you left me a pistol with one shot." Jack says
"By the powers, you're right. Where be Jack's pistol? Bring it forward." Barbossa says sliding his sword back into it's scabbard
Koehler steps up with Jack's pistol and his effects, and hands them to his captain, who takes the gear with his right-hand.
"Seeing as there's more of us, a gentleman would give us a generous collection of pistols." Jack says
"It'll be one pistol as before, and you can be the gentleman to either shoot the lady, or one of your friends, and starve to death yourselves." Barbossa says
And so, Barbossa throws Jack's pistol and sword overboard, which disappears beneath the waves, and Jack jumps and dives in after his gear. Using his legs, he swims down ten feet to the bottom of the sea and grabs his effects from the rocks, then quickly heads back up to the surface.
After swimming for several minutes, Devon, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Hiccup, Astrid, Fishlegs, Snotlout, Tuffnut, Ruffnut, and Elizabeth stumble onto the white sand of the island, each soaking wet. Jack Sparrow reaches the shore a few seconds later, pulling the rope off his hands. Now marooned on Black Sam's Spit, the group turned and watched as the Black Pearl sails off into the horizon.
"That's the second time I've watched that man sail away with my ship." Jack says
Devon and the Viking Teens stared out at the Pearl as it faded away into the distance, worried for their dragons, while Elizabeth Swann felt worried for her beloved Will Turner.
Once the Pearl was gone and out of sight, everyone followed Jack as he sashay away from the shore, stomping on the sandy ground.
"But you were marooned on this island before, weren't you? So we can escape the same way you did then." Elizabeth says
"To what point and purpose, young missy? The Black Pearl is gone. Unless you have a rudder and a lot of sails hidden in that bodice... unlikely... young Mr. Turner will be dead long before you can reach him." Jack says turning back right to face Elizabeth
"So that's it? You're just gonna give up? Are you serious?" Devon says
"What about Spyro and Cynder?" Sora says
"And our dragons?" Hiccup says
Jack ignored the three teens and went over to a nearby palm tree on his right, putting his ear to the bark and knocking on it four times with his left-hand.
"But you're Captain Jack Sparrow." Elizabeth says
From his position, Jack took five paces forward, extending his legs far out one after the other, while everyone follows him. It seemed as though he was searching for something.
"You vanished under the eyes of seven agents of the East India Company. You sacked Nassau port without even firing a shot." Elizabeth says
Eventually, Jack's feet lands on something bouncing underneath the sands of the island and he jumps up and down on the spot three times for confirmation until Elizabeth comes around up to his face.
"Are you the pirate I've read about or not?" Elizabeth says
Devon was curious to know how Jack escaped the island and he wanted the truth. The real truth. Walking over to Elizabeth's left-side, the Keyblade Wielder asks the pirate the obvious question.
"Jack. How did you escape last time?" Devon asks
Jack Sparrow moves Devon and Elizabeth away from where they stood and stares at them in silence for a moment before revealing the truth about his escape.
"Last time, I was here a grand total of three days. All right?" Jack says
The Pirate Captain bends down and lifts up a large square hatch from under the sands, revealing a hidden rum cellar.
"Last time, the rumrunners used this island as a cache. They came by, and I was able to barter passage off." Jack says
Jack descends down into the cellar using its small stairs of four steps and bends down inside.
"From the looks of things, they've long been out of business. Probably have your bloody friend Norrington to thank for that." Jack says
A moment later, Jack climbs up out of the cellar with two rum bottles of different shapes. One had a typical bottle shape, while the other had a large, round bottom.
"So much for sea turtles." Donald grumbles
"Yeah. That story did seem kinda fishy to me." Goofy says scratching the side of his head with his right finger
"So that's it then? That's the secret, grand adventure of the infamous Jack Sparrow? You spent three days lying on a beach drinking rum." Elizabeth says in disbelief
Jack Sparrow stared at Elizabeth Swann in silence for a moment before shrugging his shoulders and spreading his arms out with a smile.
"Welcome to the Caribbean, love." Jack says
After saying that, the pirate hands the young woman his second bottle of rum and walks away to consign to his fate, taking the larger bottle with him. Devon, Sora, and the others stared at Jack as he walks away. Elizabeth gazes down at the bottle in her right-hand, then her eyes glance over at Jack as an idea developed in her mind.
Later that night, Devon, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Hiccup, Astrid, Fishlegs, Snotlout, Tuffnut and Ruffnut sat together around a large fire they made, while Jack and Elizabeth danced nearby, singing the pirate shanty.
Jack and Elizabeth:
We're devils,
We're black sheep,
We're really bad eggs,
Drink up, me hearties, yo-ho!
Yo-ho, yo-ho,
A pirate's life for me!
"I love this song!" Jack says
Jack and Elizabeth grab each other's arm and spin around four times as they danced until they let go.
"Really bad eggs! Ooh." Jack says
Feeling dizzy, Jack loses his balance and drops down onto the sand, falling over on his back. Elizabeth sits down alongside him as he sits back up.
"When I get the Pearl back, I'm gonna teach it to the whole crew, and we'll sing it all the time." Jack says
"And you positively will be the most fearsome pirates in the Spanish Main." Elizabeth says
"Not just the Spanish Main, love. The entire ocean. The entire world! Wherever we want to go, we go. That's what a ship is, you know. It's not just a keel and hull and deck and sails. That's what a ship needs. But what a ship is... What the Black Pearl really is... is freedom." Jack says
"Jack, it must be really terrible for you to be trapped on this island." Elizabeth says leaning her head against the pirate's right-shoulder
"Oh, yes. But the... company is infinitely better than last time, and the... scenery has definitely improved." Jack says putting his right-arm around Elizabeth
"Mr. Sparrow, I'm not entirely sure that I've had enough rum to allow that kind of talk." Elizabeth says
"I know exactly what you mean, love." Jack says pointing to the young woman with his right index finger
Elizabeth raises up her bottle as she makes a toast.
"To freedom!" Elizabeth says
Jack grabs his bottle and raises it up, making his own toast.
"To the Black Pearl." Jack says
The pirate and young woman clinked their bottles together and took to their drinks. Elizabeth feigned a swig, while Jack chugged down on his rum bottle. Unaware of her ruse, he tilted his head back as he swallowed until he fell back into the sand, unconscious.
The next day, Jack Sparrow slowly woke up to a peculiar scent that filled his nostrils. Opening his eyes, he turned his head to the left and saw something that made him jump up to his feet. Everything on the island was burning and he saw why. Devon, Sora, Elizabeth, and the others were burning the palm trees, and more importantly the rum supply. Elizabeth throws a barrel of rum into the blazing pile, which explodes in flames a few seconds later. Jack stares out in horror as his precious rum is destroyed.
"No! Not good! Stop! Not good!" Jack exclaims
The Pirate Captain runs over to the group just as they finish up with their task.
"There. That should do it." Sora says placing his hands at his waist
"Alright, everyone. Keep an eye out for ships. Someone's bound to see this." Devon says turning around to his left and walking down toward the shore, gesturing his right-hand out to the sea from left to right
"Aye aye!" Donald says as he and Goofy salute
Everyone walks past Jack Sparrow, whilst he stares at the burning pile of rum, and he turns around to follow the group.
"What are you doing?! You've burned all the food, the shade, the rum!" Jack says
"Yes, the rum is gone." Elizabeth says
"Why is the rum gone?" Jack asks
"One, because it is a vile drink that turns even the most respectable men into complete scoundrels. Two, that signal is over a thousand feet high. The entire Royal Navy is out looking for me. Do you really think that there is even the slightest chance that they won't see it?" Elizabeth says turning left to face Jack before glancing up at the smoke signal that she and the others created
"But why is the rum gone?" Jack says
The young woman plops down onto the sand and gazes out at the sea.
"Just wait, Captain Sparrow. You give it one hour, maybe two, keep a weather eye open and you will see white sails on that horizon." Elizabeth says
Devon, Sora, Donald, Goofy, and the Viking Teens helped Elizabeth as they all gazed out into the distant sea, keeping a lookout for any ships that might be nearby. While everyone's back was turned, Jack pulled out his pistol and considered shooting Elizabeth, but ended up stuffing his weapon back into his sash and went stalking up the sand dune just to get away for a while.
Walking further out along the beach, Jack angrily rants about the turn of events and Elizabeth's belief of being found and rescued by the Royal Navy.
"'Must've been terrible for you to be trapped here, Jack. Must've been terrible for you-' Well, it bloody is now!" Jack grumbles before shouting back angrily over his left-side
The pirate turns back around and looks out into the sea with an incredulous look on his face. Anchored offshore in the distance with her flags billowing in the wind was the HMS Dauntless, and a scouting party rowed their way toward the island on their longboat.
"There'll be no living with her after this." Jack says
Jack looks back over his left-side again to where the smoke signal was, knowing that Elizabeth would be even more unbearable having been proven right.
Soon, Devon, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Hiccup, Astrid, Fishlegs, Snotlout, Tuffnut, Ruffnut and Elizabeth Swann were rescued and now safely onboard the Dauntless. Jack Sparrow, stood nearby with Murtogg and Mullroy at his sides, keeping watch over him. The group met with Elizabeth's father, Governor Weatherby Swann, and Commodore Norrington for their help to save Will Turner and the dragons from Barbossa and his crew, but the Governor and Commodore opposed the mission.
"But we've got to save Will!" Elizabeth says
"No. You're safe now. We will return to Port Royal immediately, not go gallivanting after pirates." Weatherby says
"But what about our dragons?" Fishlegs asks
"Then we condemn him to death?" Elizabeth says
"The boy's fate is regrettable, but then so was his decision to engage in piracy." Weatherby says
"To rescue me. To prevent anything from happening to me." Elizabeth says
"Governor, everything that we did, we did to help save your daughter. I think you should be more grateful. If we hadn't worked alongside Jack Sparrow, Elizabeth would be dead already." Devon says
"That's right!" Sora says
"Yeah! You owe us big time!" Snotlout says pointing to the Governor with his right index finger
"If I may be so bold as to interject my professional opinion." Jack says leaning over to his right and holding out his right index finger
Jack Sparrow walks over to Commodore Norrington with Murtogg and Mullroy following him and offers his opinion on the matter.
"The Pearl was listing to scuppers after the battle. She won't make good time. Think about it. The Black Pearl. The last real pirate threat in the Caribbean, mate. How can you pass that up, eh?" Jack says
"By remembering that I serve others, Mr. Sparrow, not only myself." Norrington says
Norrington turns around to head up the stairs leading to the ship's quarterdeck until Elizabeth makes one last desperate attempt to enlist his help.
"Commodore, I beg you, please do this. For me... As a wedding gift." Elizabeth says
Commodore Norrington stops near the top of the stairs and looks back down at Elizabeth on his left, surprised by her request. Even the Governor was surprised as he walked up to his daughter's left-side.
"Elizabeth? Are you accepting the Commodore's proposal?" Weatherby asks
Elizabeth stares up at Norrington for three seconds before giving her answer.
"I am." Elizabeth says
"A wedding. I love weddings. Drinks all around!" Jack says leaning over towards Mullroy on his left and throwing his arms out in celebration
Jack received an intense glare from Commodore Norrington that made him fall silent. Already knowing his fate, the pirate extends his hands out and puts them together, expecting to be shackled just like in Port Royal during their first meeting.
"I know. 'Clap him in irons', right?" Jack says with a sheepish smile
With his hands behind his back, Norrington slowly descends down the stairs with a few orders for the pirate.
"Mr. Sparrow, you will accompany these fine men to the helm and provide us with a bearing to Isla de Muerta. You will then spend the rest of the voyage contemplating all possible meanings of the phrase 'silent as the grave'. Do I make myself clear?" Norrington says
"Inescapably clear." Jack says
And so, Murtogg and Mullroy took Jack Sparrow by his arms and they bring him up to the quarterdeck to provide their heading with Devon, Sora, Donald, Goofy, and the Viking Teens following them. Once there, Devon climbs up onto the ratline on the port side of the Dauntless, wrapping his left-arm around the end of the rope ladder, and gazes out at the open sea before him. Though he was concerned for Will Turner, his thoughts were focused on the dragons, more importantly his Night Fury dragoness.
"Hold on, Luna. We're coming." Devon says in his thoughts
Elsewhere at sea, the Black Pearl was already well on her way back to Isla de Muerta. Spyro, Cynder, Luna, Toothless, Stormfly, Meatlug, Hookfang, Barf and Belch were still rope-bound and muzzled on the Pearl's main deck. The pirates worked around the dragons, though Koehler and Twigg kept watch over them.
In the brig below decks, Gibbs, Marty, Cotton, Anamaria, and the surviving members of Jack Sparrow's crew stood cramped in their cell, while Will Turner was put in a separate cell across from them, resting his right-arm against the bars. Pintel and Ragetti were with the prisoners, mopping the floors. Pintel was closest to the cells, working in-between them, while Ragetti was behind him, working at the other side of the brig.
"Awwk! Shiver me timbers." Cotton's parrot says
"Cotton says you missed a bit." Gibbs says
Pintel slams his wet mop against the Motley Crew's cell, grunting in annoyance.
"You knew William Turner?" Will asks
Pausing mid-mop, Pintel looked up and told the tale of Bootstrap Bill Turner.
"Ol' Bootstrap Bill. We knew him. Never sat well with Bootstrap what we did to Jack Sparrow, the mutiny and all. He said it wasn't right with the Code. That's why he sent off a piece of the treasure to you, as it were. He said we deserved to be cursed, and remain cursed." Pintel says
"Stupid blighter." Ragetti says
"Good man." Gibbs says
Pintel glances back at Gibbs for a moment as he said this, then turns back to Will.
"But as you can imagine, that didn't sit too well with the captain." Pintel says
Ragetti walked over and joined his partner's side on his right.
"That didn't sit too well with him at all. Tell him what Barbossa did." Ragetti says
"I'm tellin' the story!" Pintel yells looking at Ragetti
Turning back to Will Turner, Pintel continued his tale.
"So, what the captain did, he strapped a cannon to Bootstrap's bootstraps." Pintel says
"Bootstrap's bootstraps." Ragetti chuckles
"And last we saw of ol' Bill Turner, he was sinkin' into the crushin' black oblivion of Davy Jones Locker. 'Course, it was only after that we learned we needed his blood to lift the curse." Pintel says
"Now that's what you call ironic." Ragetti says
Pintel and Ragetti laughed. Then, footsteps echoed through the brig and Barbossa appeared, flanked by Bo'sun and several other pirates.
"Bring him." Barbossa says
Barbossa tosses the keys to cells in his right-hand to the duo, to Ragetti specifically, who catches them in his hands. The Black Pearl had arrived at Isla de Muerta, and the villainous Pirate Captain and his crew were closer to ending their curse once and for all.
Author's Note: Everyone! It's alright. I'm still here and in the game. It's just been difficult working on this chapter, having writer's block, and preparing for the holidays. And just because I don't update on my stories for a while does not mean I will give up on them. So, having cleared that up, back to the story. Devon, Sora, and our heroes fight Barbossa and the cursed pirates in an all-out sea battle between the Interceptor and the Black Pearl. Ultimate, the Pearl comes out victorious. Will Turner, Luna, Spyro, Cynder, Toothless, and the dragons are captured, while Devon, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Elizabeth Swann, Jack Sparrow, and the Viking Teens are left marooned. But no worries. The Royal Navy rescues them, and now it's back to Isla de Muerta, where the final showdown shall take place. We're off the edge of the map, mateys. Here there be monsters!
