Survivor - Heroes vs Villains
Chapter 32 - Day 28 Part 2, Day 29 Part 1
(Finally had enough time to finish this. I know this is a Friday, but what's the point of waiting anymore? I really miss you guys. But this chapter is long, so hopefully it'll make up for a whole month of no content from me at all.)
Well folks, I'm gonna say this right now. We have another anniversary date coming. This September, Survivor - Kodai Island will be officially turning five years old. And this means that once September the 5th comes around, it's going to be five years since I first started this series.
So in advance, I thank you all. This series the biggest reason why I'm on Fanfiction at this point. I've been writing since 2011 and I'm pretty much a veteran now. Based on my user stats, I have typed in a million words from this series alone... it's insane.

Day 28
Donkey Kong, Yoshi, Wolf, Ryu, Plague Knight
-/-
Now, before the coffee shop scene took place, there was something that needed to be said. Bramble Blast was one of the best songs of the Super Smash Brothers franchise, and it was going to be the song played at the reward challenge. Yet someone forgot to put it in the previous chapter and it had to be edited. And unfortunately, some viewers already read through the chapter without getting the full experience of listening to the song as the challenge was being played out.
It was quite a tragedy. So in order to make up for it, it was highly recommended to play the track that day just to show it some level of respect. The entire soundtrack of Super Smash Brothers Ultimate simply did not sound complete without that one song being part of it. Fly Me to the Moon from the Bayonetta series not being part of it, however, was an entire topic within itself.
Without any further delay, it was time to head to the coffee place where the winning team of players hung out at.
A tiki-hut based coffee shop was in view with the winning five already celebrating as if it was Christmas morning to them. The smell of the fresh coffee and pastries was going to get to them quickly.
"Nice little break from work." Wolf commented. "Good job, boys."
"Gonna feel right at home." Donkey Kong grinned from ear to ear. "Make every second of this moment count."
There were two locals (one man one woman).
"Welcome, everyone!" The woman spoke with the male waving his hand. "Right this way!"
"Oooh!" Yoshi just could not have waited any longer, Ryu rubbing his hands together as everyone went ahead and grabbed a plate to fill it with food.
"Feels good to win the same challenge twice, let alone us not nearly taking as long as the first time." Donkey Kong was seen glancing between the doughnuts, croissants, brownies, and other sweets trying to decide what exactly to choose. "The coffee itself was the main attraction here, but it seemed that people were more interested in getting the food itself since we don't eat a proper amount of food on a consistent basis. The coffee to us for the most part seemed to be just something to wash it all down, but we enjoyed it to the fullest, anyway. We are literally taught to appreciate any little thing that happens to us since we're always stranded in the wilderness with people you don't even know very well."
The two baristas were now serving their drinks, the aroma keeping them all perked up.
"Thanks so much!" Plague Knight beamed upon receving his.
Yoshi was already eating away, eating a frosted doughnut so quickly as if he never had one in his life.
"You guys just make sure you don't burn off your tongue." Ryu warned. "Otherwise you will not be able to taste pretty much anything again."
By the time the five of them were served, there was a moment where there was literally nobody talking at all. What was normal in Survivor culture was that if someone had a plate of food in front of them, and if they were starving for a certain amount of time, there were usually little to no words at all exchanged between two people within the first few minutes.
But the silence was going to be broken eventually.
"So DK," Ryu spoke up. "you said this reminds you of home. Do you have a place similar to this back where you come from?"
"I mean the whole structure of this place is similar, and we are already living in the jungle. Nice little hangout spot. That's one thing about this island, though. We all maybe stranded out here in an unfamiliar location. But for me personally, due to me living in this type of environment all my life, it's comforting for me at least a little bit." He took a sip of his coffee with cream and sugar. "I try to be as level headed as possible, since I always feel like dealing with things with just the right state of mind can really go a long way. But I am just as much of a person as everyone else, and I knew at some point that I was going to have my moments. I thought that maybe this could help keep my paranoia level at a low, and just... pretend that you all are close friends and family of mine."
Aww.
Ryu snickered out loud. "Whatever floats your boat, I suppose. You already know that you were the one castaway Golden talked about the most when we were in Mexico. Wouldn't you say that all three of us being out here together puts you even more at ease?"
"Indeed so." Donkey Kong nodded in agreement, now picking up a doughnut before turning to Wolf. "You on the other hand, we never really got to know each other in Kodai Island, but the fact that the two of us being familiar with each other is an advantage in itself."
"Okay, so you picture me as a relative you don't see very often." The lupine formed his own conclusion.
"Well, I didn't really mean it like that..."
"I'm just kidding, you big ol' gorilla." Wolf expected that type of reaction. "You already know you're one of the most beloved monkeys in the universe right now. I know you're grandfather is proud of the man you have become."
He snickered at that. "Even though we call him 'Cranky' for the reason. He's literally the type to say 'back in my day' every couple of seconds while dissing every generation that came after him."
Was anyone aware of Freezeflame's Donkey Kong Island series? Only the ones that had knowledge of that knew how that line got inspired by it.
"So,... what about the two of us?" Plague Knight referred to himself and Yoshi. "I mean, are we not meant to be included here? Like, I know we basically just met you."
Yoshi nodded in agreement. "Yeah, our worlds are in a cluster with Mario's, DK."
"Indeed they are. And to be fair, that is true. The three of us have a bit to learn about each other, but it's a good thing we're sitting here right now. You're kinda smart, Plague, whether people want to admit or not. And Yoshi, Charizard's told me some good things about you. You're probably the most loyal friend a guy can have."
"Hmm..." That made the alchemist feel better at least a little bit. "Well, they don't call me Mr. Scientist for nothing!"
"Haha!" Yoshi laughed unsurprisingly. Charizard did indeed talk about how genuine Yoshi was all the time. "Sounds like him, alirght. And you know,... he was planning on having me meet Lucario in person. But because of this situation, there was just not enough time."
Donkey Kong took another sip. "Well, everyone's gonna have plenty of time to meet each other after we're done, especially after the reunion show. Master Hand's probably gonna bring back as many notable figures in this field as possible. Maybe you and Lucario can have a conversation."
"I don't think I ever recalled seeing DK this positive this season." Ryu confessed. "Almost every time I saw he always seemed to be trying to keep everything together in his head. Maybe it was all that stress he went through of him having all sorts of ups and downs this season, and this time the majority of the vote was on our side. I'd say Golden was beaming the whole time as well before we did the challenge. But I suppose this reward was the icing on the cake for Kong here. And you know, I care about him as a friend and it's pleasing for me to see of how he seemed to not be thinking about the game at all."
"Everyone knows out here you can't even take a break for one second, but we're all just people here. We're gonna have our moments once in a while... Sometimes even I think that I'm over strategizing and playing a little too hard. Thing is my edit in Mexico,... I kinda don't feel like the community learned enough things about me as a person. They viewed me as one of the biggest gamers, which is fine. But,... I wouldn't be surprised if a few of them think that I'm just as boring as they see Golden for example."
Ryu decided to make himself even more comfortable by crossing his ankles on the table.
Wolf glared. "Put those down. That's not being a gentlemen."
"Shut up." He closed his eyes.
Once everybody had enough food in their stomachs, people were either in the cafe still chatting among themselves, or lying down on the beach.
Yoshi and Wolf were the two doing the latter, as both of their eyes were closed ignoring the waves crashing down on the sand.
Plague Knight watched from afar.
But eventually, Yoshi decided to get up and leave to see what the others were up to. Doing so resulted in the camera switching right back to Plague who was apparently waiting for the right time to approach Wolf by himself.
"I've paid some attention to what Donkey Kong was saying on the reward. To be honest,... I never really found any problems with him, and I don't really like most of the people on here. Mona and Specter Knight actually keep my sanity in check, but neither of them are here. And I was actually starting to talk with Shadow a little more, and guess what? He had to leave, too. But the main thing that was on my mind was that,... I am actually jealous of DK. He gets to have all of his buddies in the game! What makes him so special? I had to make sure I included myself to make sure he knew that I still exist! You didn't win the challenge on your own! ...So I just decided to wait for the right time to talk to Wolf about this. I never trusted Ryu, I don't like Yoshi, I never really put much energy into talking with Wolf aside from strategizing, but I'm aligned with him. There was no one else to go to at the time."
"What'cha want?" Wolf opened his only working eye to see who was now next to him, only for the eye to be closed again. He really wanted to enjoy his current situation as much as possible, and part of that was keeping on the low and not talking much.
"I just..." He sighed and sat down. "Donkey Kong is getting on my nerves."
"What do ya mean?"
"He acted like you and Ryu were his best friends and he paid me and Yoshi no mind at all!"
"You two were brought up eventually."
But it was not enough to help his complaint. "Yeah, after the fact. And only because I said so. I mean, it is already obvious already that he and his best friends, Ryu and Golden, are as tight as ever. Donkey Kong and Golden both played together before and they both like Ryu, so of course DK's gonna bring both of them up!"
"For clarification, DK didn't bring Ryu up." Wolf's used his right hand to scratch the top of his head. "Golden did."
"My point still stands." Yeah, he was definitely not letting up. "From a game perspective, it's pretty clear of who DK wants to spend the rest of this game with at this point. We voted with them last night, but I think it's time to get one of them out. I want Donkey Kong out."
"..." Wolf finally decided to turn his head and look him straight in the eyes... Or mask, since he chose to keep it on. "You're really gonna interrupt a nice, peaceful moment like this?"
"Look, this is Survivor, not a beach party! ...And I don't even know if I'm really a beach type of person. One time I was there, my mask ended up getting knocked off at a time where I wasn't that much confident in myself showing my face and Mona and Percy were nowhere to be found!"
"I can't even go on a damn coffee break." The clawed Smash veteran complained as he sat on a rock near the water. "I can't even go on one coffee break without being worried to death. Plague is known to get on everybody's nerves, so I shouldn't be surprised. But still. Somebody just had to make my head hurt today after I bust my tail out there trying to win the reward for all of us."
He heaved a sigh shaking his head. "But pettiness aside, he might be a pain, but Plague is smart. He was probably paying close attention to how DK was talking and from that moment, he probaby had enough of him. I do agree with him that he, Golden, and Ryu should be splitten up. They saved my life just in the last round, but we don't need them being in the middle. That's our job. We should be having all the power in the game. And for all the slow ones out there, we're not as likely to win all these challengs. I ain't even won one yet. So when he threw DK under the bus saying he was the next to go, how could you not agree with him?"
"With DK on the block, that would serve as a distraction as a way for the three of us to be protected." Wolf concluded. "I'm more than willing to do that, so that's three votes coming his way. But that's just one alliance. ...We're gonna have to tell Yoshi."
"He literally just left to join Ryu and DK at the hut!"
He heaved a sigh, mentally pouting. "And I don't feel like getting back on my feet right now... I'm staying here and hope that he comes back."
"I-..." Lifting his hands and dropping them, he decided to sit down on the sand too. "-guess I'm sitting with you, then"
"I gotta say, though. I honestly believe Donkey Kong was being genuine. Him and I don't really have the closest relationship comparing to some of his other folks, but he was just taking the time to realize the relationships that he has." Wolf then paused for a bit. "But at the same time, from a game perspective, it was a rather questionable move outright exposing your connections like that."
"Well honestly, I didn't even think about that for a second! I just thought that was a bad move. If I outright just tell everybody around me about close Specter and I are, I'm out the door! How come he gets away with it?" The alchemist pointed in the old smasher's direction. "Because he has a more positive reception with the tribe? Just because people like him?"
"..." Wolf was simply staring at him blinking. "Hmm... Something tells me that you're a bit jealous about this."
He scoffed. "No, I'm just pointing out what's fair and what's not. If I just casually tell everyone that I'm close with Shadow and Specter, bye, bye, Plague Knight!"
"I'm afraid I got to point you out on a couple things, man." Now the lupine did not want to just outright slam Plague for his opinions, since he figure he had a right to feel the way he felt. But at the same time, he wanted to offer him his perspective. Basically not choosing any particular side at all. "Donkey Kong is a hero. He automatically had a better reputation going into this. You have more haters than he does because of how you were in Mexico, and I won't be surprised if people have a few things to say about you this season. You got into a fight with Ridley of all people."
"Last time I checked, Ridley had a bit of a villainous reputation as well. All he did was scream at people all the time for not winning challenges and bossing people around camp."
"Well at least he showed that he has changed a little bit. It's all about being honest with yourself and recognizing your flaws. And if you do that, it shows growth." And that was a hundred percent accurate. O'Donnell read the room well. "There is another thing that I want to say, or... ask in this case scenario. ...How often do you value your relationships? When you just told me you didn't think anything of how friendly and real DK was, it kind of raised some questions within me. Other than Mona or Specter,... who do you care about?"
...
Congratulations, Wolf. He was going to go down as just the second survivor that managed to make Plague Knight shut his mouth and actually think about some things.
"I mean, Specter Knight was your right hand man, and Mona is your lover."
"She's not my girlfriend!"
"Sure, whatever helps you sleep at night." He harshly rolled his good eye, not wanting to get sidetracked. "But anywho, you and Shadow were even aligned together at one point before he walked out. And even with then, you don't really think about him as a person that much. Do you?"
He sighed at this. "Shadow has his own problems, too."
"Well, from what I heard, he took it upon himself to have a couple conversations about himself with a couple of our tribe members such as Zelda and Shovel Knight. What about you? Have you ever thought about valuing your relationships you have with others out here? And you wonder why nobody wants to align with you..."
Mic drop.
"You can't have it both ways. You can't just push people away with you being confrontational like that and then get surprised when you don't have many people to side with."
"Okay, sometimes I'm gonna have to defend myself. Off the bat, seven people, including you, wanted me out! Do you think I'm just gonna sit on my ass all day and do nothing about it?"
"There's simply a way to do everything." Wolf hunched his shoulders. "If it was me in your shoes, of course I'm gonna be busting my ass to save my own fur. I can't imagine on what that's like when almost everybody wants you out. And I do admit, I wanted you out myself. But you, Springy, and I are all we have as allies at this point. Need to remind you that after Shadow got out of the game, I did try to take time to try to get to know you a little better. But you were just too upset at Shadow going home and being mad at everybody else for... playing the game, I didn't want to disturb you too much."
"..." Plague Knight simply took a look behind him to make sure nobody else was coming their way.
"You know, I get you, Plague. I do." The mercenary admitted. "You get frustrated and develop an attitude. We all do. I may be all laid back and chill, but when it comes to business like this,... I don't play no games. And Imma just leave it at that... But sometimes you just gotta learn how to control your emotions, or else you're not going to make the situation better."
The small knight was thinking about that very conversation in his confessional as he sat still with his arms on his knees. "Honestly,... it was kind of the first time other than Specter Knight where one of my... co-workers out here decided to have an actual conversation about myself. I never really cared for Wolf too much at first, even though he and I started to really align together after Shadow got idol'd out. But what he said to me today really had me thinking. ...I know I'm not known really keeping quiet, haha! But he did reallly surprise me. At first I thought he was just somebody who's just not really caring about anything, but always having something smart to say at the same time. Though the fact that he took time to have a discussion with me about,... the error of my ways, I suppose? Not many people really take the time to do that. To be fair though, I usually do not care about people like that at all. But what Wolf did today,... not saying that he really cares, but he does seem genuinely concerned. And I appreciate him not completely antagonizing me like that, because in some ways I am justified. Just because it's something involving Plague Knight doesn't necessarily make me the bad guy all the time."
"And unlike most, he is actually smart enough to realize that. I kind of like him for it, you know? Maybe there is somebody who cares about me. ...Now if only I can develop the same kind of energy for other people... I'm thinking about Percy right now, and his loyalty to sticking by me all this time. I wonder what he's up to..."
"You feel like you're a little too harsh on him sometimes?" Wolf was now completely sitting up grinning. "He does sound like your most loyal employee."
"I... kinda think I was a little, actually." He smirked underneath his mask. "But the weird thing is that he... doesn't get offended that much. He probably has much thicker skin than I thought, even though he's... a goofball, to put it plainly. Yet he's always willing to do his best and learn."
"You think that you should maybe apologize to him if you ever offended him in any way?"
"He probably wouldn't even think about me yelling at him that much if I actually bring it up to him. But Mona's a witness in that, so..." Plague trailed off glancing away.
"Then maybe you should just tell him how proud you are of him and that his work is much appreciated. Maybe move him up in a more authoritative spot if the timing is right."
"Hahaha! Percy of all people? Hard wooking goof, he is. But I still don't think he's ready. I'll be considering it, though."
"Everyone who's seen Plague on TV knows he's a little... difficult. You're a fool if you don't see that. Though at times, he can be a little entertaining, because he's completely delusional. It's a matter of learning how to think before you speak, and it's a matter of having a lick of patience as well. I had to have major patience just to talk to him. But it's the real world. I taught myself to be as calm and cool as I can, and it's not as easy as I make it out to be. And yeah, I didn't have to talk to Plague Knight of all people about anything because I know what I have to deal with. But, guess what? Every time when he aligns with somebody, it never works out for him because they all go home. I'm not going home because of that. It don't sit right with me. So if I can socially get through Plague of everyone here, maybe he'll humble himself down a little and I can help gain a little self-awareness. The more self-aware you are, the more calm that ego is of yours."

Day 28
Bowser, Zelda, Shovel Knight, Golden, Springtrap
-/-
Back at the camp full of losers, the five of them were already separated. They wasted no time cooking up their small rations of rice for the day. Every time half of them went on a special reward post-merge, they immediately grew jealous. And as a result, they went ahead and cook up some rice at the shelter and making sure the winners did not get any.
Not that they intended on being evil, but food always came in small portions in the game and the rice needed to last throughout the rest of the game. The reward seekers were already eating more food than them. None of them eating anything else for the day made things easier for everyone.
Zelda and Shovel Knight, however, knew very well they were the only two people remaining at the camp.
The princess gradually turned her head towards her fellow competitor, grinning with a sigh.
"You know they are talking about us, right?"
"Hahaha!" Yes, he was no dummy. "They ate rather quickly! Maybe next time they are not even going to eat here. They are all just going to get their portion of rice and leave. like it's takeout. People really do not care anymore."
"I shouldn't be too surprised. They know that we know we're on the outs." She hunched her shoulders. "It does take a bit of energy to say what you have to say without certain people realizing that they're being talked about."
"Don't worry." He rubbed her shoulder. "As long as we're still here we still have some fight in us. Hopefully the next challenge isn't too physical so one of us has a good chance at winning."
"So it's just about time that Springtrap, Plague, and Wolf voted with us. Finally I'm getting a break out here. That just single-handedly increased my chances out here, because if I make it past top nine, I'm outpeaking himself. Ridley did it, DK just did it, and soon it's gonna be my turn." Alright, Bowser. What was next?" "So the next thing we needed to do was to talk to the three of them to make sure we are still on the same page. Springtrap was the only one of them that didn't win the challenge, so he was stuck with us."
Springtrap was leaning against the water well. "I mean, I suppose Zelda is on the block, next? Would it be fair to target Shovel over her, or..."
"Shovel might be stronger than her in challenges." said Golden. "But Zelda is really playing hard this time. She was using Vector as a shield. Now that he's gone, she's exposed and vulnerable. That's why she was down last night and this morning because she knows that her days are numbered."
"Okay, so we need to get Zelda out and then we need to get Shovel out." Bowser counted on his fingers. "That's two easy votes, and then we're all seeing top eight and I will finally not have to worry about getting ninth place anymore."
"Hahaha! Don't forget that I placed ninth, too!" Golden playfully punched him in the shoulder. "...Really a shame of what happened to Freddy, though. That tribal in season two? And he ended up getting ninth place as well."
"I... have a bit more to go." Springtrap scrached the back of his head, knowing he placed an entire two spots higher than the both of his competitors. "But hey, Zelda and Shovel going home back to back? That increases all of our odds out here. And then we'll figure out on what to do with Yoshi."
"I'd say... just hope he somehow does not have an immunity idol." Golden figured, to which Bowser decided to snicker loudly.
"Yoshi? ...Finding an immunity idol? If this was April Fools Day, nobody ever told me nothin'. That's gotta be the biggest Survivor joke I've ever heard!"
Man. That was cruel.
"Aww, come on, Bowser." At least Golden came to the dinosaur's defense. "Surely, you wouldn't be too harsh on him, would you? Anyone can find or win anything."
"To be fair, he did almost win immunity once. But I speak for most people when I say that Yoshi finding an idol is like Chica winning your season. Even Plague makes more sense and that's sad."
"Bowser and I were talking things over with Springtrap today, letting him know that we're in for Zelda and Shovel being the next two to go, since they were the ones left out of that vote. Yet obviously, this is what we call a 'play up'." Well, that pretty much happened all the time, anyway. "Zelda's kind of in consideration right now. Vector was the most physical player of the Hero Four, but Zelda was the main strategic player of that group. The longer we keep her here, the more dangerous she becomes, which could result in her reaching final three again. She's already done it before, because she was not taken out early enough."
"However, I do understand that there are always bigger fish to fry... Springtrap's one of 'em himself, and Bowser and I had to play up by telling him exactly what he wants to hear. But the reality is he could be going home next, depending on what we really want to do moving forward. He has Wolf and Plague, and on the surface it really does sound like they're the most dangerous group of three players in comparison to whatever is left from the old Hero Four. I'm sort of leaning towards weakening the Villan Three first. And even if Springtrap wins immunity, we'll just try to write Wolf off again. At least then, he weakens Bowser. I'm aligned with him, but Wolf and Bowser having too many options gives them too much power. They can't have the whole game to themselves."
Speaking of the bunny rabbit, he felt like he needed to put in some comments himself. "Hey, Chica's one game move at final eight single-handedly put something on her resume. Nobody liked her on the jury, but in comparison, I'd rather have her win Mexico than have Luigi win Emperors vs Knights."
OOOOOOOH!
Golden began to laugh out loud. "Okay, children. I think you've all done enough throwing shade for one day. When you receive all the hate mail, don't say I didn't warn you."
"I know exactly what they're doing." Springtrap nonchantly leaned against a tree. "I can perhaps understand Zelda being a target, but Shovel isn't really too much of a threat. Apparently he blindsided Meta Knight, but I wasn't around when that happened and I haven't heard of him making many moves since, so I don't think he's a priority for right now. I feel like they're saying whatever they can so they can stay on my good side. But, facts don't lie. People have targeted my right hand man last night. And from the looks of it, the Strong Guys Alliance were the deciding votes. I'm thankful they never actually sent Wolf home, but comparing my alliance to Zelda and her alliance,... we could be targeted again. So the plans remains the same. Wolf, Plague, and I are going to stay in the middle for as long as we can. We feel like SGA is becoming dangerous again, we're sending one of them home, especially if the target is gonna be on us now. If they're gonna try to take our spot, all we'd have to do is borrow the three bottom feeders and use them so I can get what I want done."

Day 29
Donkey Kong, Bowser, Yoshi, Zelda, Wolf, Ryu, Shovel Knight, Plague Knight, Golden, Springtrap
-/-
Day twenty-nine had arrived at that point. Only one more day to go for everyone, and they would all be in the thirties. Things were getting ready to head into the 'crunching time' phase.
In other words, people were going home and day thirty-nine was approaching rather quickly.
"Hey Bowser," It already appeared to be eight in the morning, Donkey Kong going out of his way to call out to King Koopa. "wanna go get tree mail? Better get this trip over with before we get scolded by production."
Wolf, Yoshi, and Golden were also at the scene at the time. And for the former two, whatever their fellow castaways were going to talk about, it was getting to a point where it did not even matter anymore. The only that really made a difference was an unexpected strategy talk between two unlikely players for instance.
Golden really wanted to follow the other members of his own allinace. Though as much as the rest of the tribe knew where he stood with, he did not want to directly insult Wolf and Yoshi. Besides, it should not have took three people to retrieve tree mail. ...Well technically, only one person was needed to check on the tree mail, but anyway...
"We're going to compete in the immunity challenge either today or tomorrow, based on how the schedule usually works when we have twenty people on a season." Donkey Kong predicted. "I wouldn't be so surprised if we're somehow in trouble again, but we have even bigger reasons to stay this time. Springtrap, Plague Knight, and Wolf are too dangerous. We don't want them to have that much of a stronghold in the game, so maybe one of them should go home."
"That's what Golden and I were talking about yesterday. Springtrap thinks the vote is going to be Zelda, but he's gonna be the biggest fool on the planet if he actually believes that. He should be scrambling right now."
"Okay, so there's no chance of us writing her name down at all. Springy's our new target, and hopefully we have her vote to move forward."
"I think Ryu might be talking to Zelda right now, since they went to the beach together."
"Good." The two of them were now approaching the tree mail. Did they get anything? "...Okay, looks like the challenge is gonna be today. You ready for it?"
"As I'll ever be."
"Springtrap is highly intelligent and he knows how to speak his mind at the same time. He could easily swing a jury over if he were to sit at the finals. He's also won two immunities, so I feel like he could be a big problem out here." In that case, Donkey Kong needed to make sure he was not going to be the one to win immunity."He could pull some random tricks up his sleeve and he's winning this thing. But the thing is, the four of us in SGA aren't enough votes to get rid of them. The other heroes will help us make a majority and hopefully not target us strong folk again. We still need to properly get our revenge for ourselves and Ridley's sake, and if one of us can win Survivor, that's a game changer right there."
Day 29
"Come on in!"
Ryu, Bowser, Plague Knight, Zelda, Wolf, Golden, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Shovel Knight, and Springtrap all came from the woods to see what was on the table for that day.
"Oh..." Bowser quietly talked. "This is the 'hold your breath underwater' challenge."
Springtrap almost instantly sighed. "I dunno if I'm gonna win this time. Last time I completely flopped..."
"You guys ready to get to today's immunity challenge?" Well maybe if Springtrap was going to be one of the first people out of the challenge for a second time, Master Hand was probably going to laugh at his misery. Yet another opportunity for the poor rabbit to get roasted by him. "First things first, Plague Knight, you gotta give it up."
Pouting his way over, he complied crossing his arms. "What if I don't want to."
"Hey, I gotta follow protocol. I'm the host. I get to make the rules and follow them."
Or maybe the master found a new target to roast at challenges? Plague was rather fitting.
"Once again, immunity is back up for grabs. For today's challenge, you are each gonna take a spot in the water underneath a grated steel barrier. As the tide rises, the water the rise. As the water rises, your breathing space will decrease until you have nowhere left to breathe. Your head must stay completely under the grate at all times. Last person remaining wins immunity, guaranteed a one in nine shot at being the first ever All Star to win this game. Losers, your dreams of becoming a millionaire might come to an end. Someone will be voted out and will become the fourth member of our jury."
"This challenge just took place in the last season, Survivor - Caribbean. Springtrap and Yoshi both participated, neither of them have won. Hopefully one of them can do a lot better this time."
Yoshi sighed, knowing he was out right after Kevin. "I'll do my best, but I bet if Vector was here, he could have easily won this."
"Then maybe him going home increased your odds. We'll draw for spots and we'll get started."

"Alright. Everybody is in position and this challenge is on."
Well, the first part of the challenge had so little difficulty, the castaways were free to casually talk among themselves with no problem at all.
"The fact that this challenge has been done two seasons in a row shows that Master Hand clearly doesn't care about his castaways." Ryu mumbled standing next to Shovel Knight. "He's gonna drown ten innocent people for no reason."
"Ryu..." He heard that. "I thought you liked me. We never had any beef before, man. What happened?"
"Just telling it like it is, brother."
"Well, at the end of the day, every last one of you signed up for this. I don't intend to kill you all, but I can do any challenge that I want."
OOOOOH!
Majority of the competitors laughed loudly in response.
Ryu sighed in reaction. "That's hard to argue against. Sorry, guys. Can't get us out of this one."
"You tried your best and that's all that matters." said Zelda. "We're going to have to deal with it."
The water marks that were on the columns of the barrier stood on both ends of the barrier, representing how hight the tide was. The water was hitting the number ten at the time, but sooner or later, disaster was going to strike. The players all needed to brace themselves...
Elapsed Time: 15 Minutes
"We have only been out here for fifteen minutes and people are already struggling for air."
Wait, what?
"Big swells are coming. People are already spitting and coughing up water, everybody has their eyes closed, heads are already glued to the top of the barrier trying to get whatever air they can."
The level of the tide was alreaday at the number three? Apparently the tide was rising way faster in contrast to season four. It was unknown of how long the challenge was going to last at that point. ...And the castaways continuing to spit up water was the most disgusting part about it.
...Oh, phew. The camera switched to all ten bodies floating underwater with added sound effects. Much better.
"Tide is coming in, nobody has dropped out yet. But I doubt the tide is at its highest. You all are going to be in much more trouble."
But then out of nowhere, a certain scientist emerged from the water coughing like crazy.
"Plague Knight is our first casualty. Went from winning immunity last time to now being first out of this one."
And he was still having a coughing fit.
"Plague, go ahead and swim to the bench on the platform and get yourself together."
With his mind suddenly getting back in control, he followed the host's advice and wasted no time getting to safety.
...Yep. Still coughing. Poor little thing. Kind of a laughable moment regarding his haters. It was kind of embarassing. Probably the only person who had any sympathy for him was Sonic of all people, knowing of his own bad relationship with water. Though at least even he would not have been the first out of this challenge.
Elapsed Time: 19 Minutes
"We are approaching the twenty minute mark." But, guess what? The camera shot a view up at the sky. And was it sunny? ...No. There were even a few raindrops that were starting to fall.
"Hmm... Might have a little rain coming."
Great. That was just great. Why was it storming now? Mother nature could have chosen any other portion of the day to have it rain. Worst timing ever. This meant the players had to deal with... more water.
"And for the record, I never mentioned anything about the rain to you guys on purpose."
...
Yoshi spat out water again, now letting go of the barrier.
"Is Yoshi going to be our next casualty? ...Oh, he's not ready to go. He's fighting!"
The poor dinosaur was panicking like crazy, the underwater view of him showing his attempts to grab onto the barrier again. But as Silver the Hedgehog repeatedly stated in Sonic 06, 'It's no use!'
Coming up for air to breathe wildly, Yoshi glanced up at the sky, the rain coming down a bit harder.
"Yoshi is the second person out of the challenge. Take your spot at the bench. No redemption for you."
He eyed the sky for a few more moments before he began to swim to the platform to sit down. "You know, maybe it's not so bad this time. Rather be cold and wet while I'm sitting down than still fighting for my life over there..."
"Now down to eight. And I bet in a few minutes it's gonna be raining cats and dogs out here."
Oh, what fun. And with the tide to top it all off? Things were getting real. Bowser, Zelda, Golden, Ryu, Wolf, Shovel Knight, Springtrap, and Donkey Kong were in for a rude awakening.
Springtrap was already having a fist over his mouth, suddenly spitting out a bunch of water at once. ...Yeah. Master Hand was clearly trying to drown his castaways. Somebody should have called the law.
"Springy's struggling."
And immediately after those words were said, his head fell underwater, now needing to get his body under control. Honestly, it looked rather... scary looking. And it was already appearing darker due to the lack of sunlight from the sky. It was really appearing as if somebody was getting ready to drawn.
But Springtrap was not going down without a fight, his arms trying to grip onto the barrier once again. However, near the opposite end, Zelda was having a hard time of her own as she floated in between Bowser and Golden. Though her brunette her appeared to be beautiful as it was flying all over the place underwater, she was not having a beautiful time gasping for air.
It was too much for her, Hyrule's princess not taking much time to pop her head above the water.
"Zelda's out of the challenge. No shot at immunity."
And the rain pouring on her face did not help one bit.
"No use on getting a towel, Zelda. We have to lie in the rain until everybody is finished." Plague Knight complained, Yoshi pouting as he sat right next to him.
"I'm so sick of being cold..."
Well guess what, Yoshi? There were still seven player left in the challenge. It was going to be a minute before everybody was done.
The underwater view of Kevin Davis was shown once again. Though it quickly came to a point where he really had enough with his body immeditaely turning around to find a way out.
"Springtrap... Performed a bit better versus previously, but still not a winner." Six people left. "Bowser, Golden, Ryu, Wolf, Shovel Knight, and Donkey Kong are all still in the running."
Hearing this, Springy took a glance at them all. Yet hearing certain names in particular that were still competing had him thinking a little. But he needed to get back to the platform in attempt to somehow warm up with Yoshi, Zelda, and Plague.
Swimming to them all, he pulled himself up to the platform as he held his arms shivering.
"This is gonna be fun..." He mumbled under his breath, ignoring whatever Master Hand was talking about back at the barrier. "Guess we'll all huddle up on the bleachers until today's winner is announced. But while we're all here-"
"What?" Yoshi leaned in closer. The rain was beginning to be a little loud.
"Look, everybody just lean in. Quick!" The FNAF character shifted his head briefly to make sure nobody else was giving up on the challenge. "Let's stick together while we can. We need to get DK out."
"Zelda, Springtrap, Plague Knight, Yoshi, all huddling up at the sit out bench. My guess is they're trying to generate some kind of body heat over there..."
Oh man. He only knew the half of it.
"We'd just need Wolf and Shovel Knight and that's it. That's all we need."
"Alright."
"Okay."
"We'll talk later on."
"Thanks."
There was an overview of the six remaining challengers in the game, yet the blue knight was seen with his head dropping in the water.
"Shovel Knight's under. Is he gonna come back? ...No. Shovel Knight's out."
And yes, his helmet was off just like Plague's mask.
Though Kevin was more focused on who was left, snickering at it all. "All that's left is that entire alliance aside from Wolf."
What a way to prove his point.
Elapsed Time: 26 Minutes
"This challenge is still going! Still pouring like there is no tomorrow and the tide is reaching the highest point at the number one mark! This is the right time for you to just ignore all of your surroundings and just stay focused! Keep doing what you're doing!"
The rain was definitely not going to let up any time soon.
Yoshi aggressively shook his head as he and the other eliminated castaways remained huddled up close. "T-This is ridiculous. How long h-have we been out here?"
"We're apporaching thirty minutes soon." Shovel Knight replied.
"Well I feel like I've been here for a whole hour." Plague buried his head in his lap. "I'm so freaking cold!"
"I'm with you all on this one." Springtrap mumbled. "Of all the wet days I've had on Survivor, this has got to be the worst day yet. We have no roof over our heads right now."
"What a way for us to really appreciate the simple things in life." The shovel wielder commented.
Zelda folded her lips shivering, trying to stay as calm as she could have.
Regarding the remaing competitors, there were a few close calls, yet all of them were still in it. But as a result of them remaining under the barrier for a long period of time with almost no breathing room, water shot up right in the air from their mouths all the while.
"Bowseer going under again."
A giant turtle dropped underwater, suddenly flailing his arms like crazy in an attempt to grab onto the barrier.
"Is he coming back?"
He was really trying his best, but unfortuantely he did not want to suffer anymore. King Koopa was done.
"Bowser drops out of the challenge. We are now down to four!"
And he was really not that bad in the water, as his swimming skills were decent enough knowing he was an anthropomorphic turtle.
"Come on, big fella!" Springtrap laughed. "We're freezing like crazy!"
"Golden, Ryu, Wolf, and Donkey Kong remain. Ryu and Donkey Kong have both won immunity before, Golden and Wolf have not. But clearly they all want the same thing, yet only one could get it. Who's it gonna be?"
It was raining at its absolute hardest now.
"Oh Goddesses..." Zelda exhaled deeply.
Wolf's face was pressed hard against the top of the barrier, but then he suddenly dropped below.
"Oh look." Plague Knight stared.
"I think he's done." said Bowser, and his assumption was correct. The lupine remained still underwater (probably to tell his mind to remain calm). But the moment he went under, he decided that there was no going back.
"And Wolf is out."
He was going to look like a wet dog for sure once he made to the others.
"Nicely done, Wolf." Shovel Knight commented. "You probably surprised yourself you made it this long."
Taking a glance behind himself to see whihc three were left, he groaned in furstration. "All three of them? Seriously?"
Springtrap snickered in reaction. But they knew there was only so much they could have said since they had to be around Bowser for some time.
Golden began pinching his nose, not wanting to take in too much water. He was the only one left that never won an individual immunity challenge before, and he desired to have this one in particular be the one.
Though holding his nose was not good enough since he ended up falling in, anyway.
...But then he came back. Still putting up a fight.
"Nice recovery from Golden... Donkey Kong going under now, but he still has one hand gripping on!"
But then, there was an interesting plot twist. Ryu out of nowhere dropped below. And unlike the other two, he was not able to come back.
"Ryu suddenly drops out! He was probably at his limit!"
"Well done, Ryu."
"Great job."
Donkey Kong managed to make a recovery though, so it was now down to him and Golden. Though with Fredbear dropping again, the showdown had the possibility of not lasting too long. With both the tide and the rain to worry about, it was more likely for anyone to drop out at literally any moment.
"Can Golden come back again for more?"
By the view of him underwater panicking, the man really did not want to go anywhere. But panicking was the biggest obstacle he had to deal with, as it was the single thing that could break a castaway. The challenge was all about having a calm mindset, and he was only making it worse.
And unfortunately it led to him backing out, his hiead popping above the water from the other side.
"Golden drops out!"
"DONKEY KONG WINS IMMUNITY!"
Turning back around to see his friend gripping on tightly to the barrier, he promptly swam up to him to let him know that it was over and that he was guaranteed a spot in the final nine.
"Second time this season." Wolf grinned clapping his hands. "Nice work."
"I got second place again, but I'm happy for you." Golden congratulated him, now helping Kong on the platform. "Just... don't shake. Okay?"
"Haha! Deal." The ape friendly shook his hand. "I know you all are freezing."
"Let's make this quick, then." Master Hand was already hooking up the necklace onto him. "For the second time this season, Donkey Kong is safe. You can not vote for him tonight at Tribal Council."
That statement was going to repeat itself in the Villain Three's ears for a bit.
"As for the rest of you, I know you all would rather be standing here right now than being out of the game. But unfortunately, one of you is going to get that torch snuffed. Donkey Kong, it will not be you. I'll see you all at Tribal Council."
"I feel like somebody is mocking me." A very frustrated Springtrap stated. "Golden, Donkey Kong, and Ryu being the final three of that challenge alone speaks volumes. But the number one target winning immunity? I mean,... maybe it's not all bad because it puts an even bigger target on his back. But we still can't get rid of him right now. The only thing I could hope for is that this will make people see that I shouldn't be the biggest considerable option for the vote tonght, because with those three having the tightest friendship and all of them being smart and super strong at challenges at the same time, why shouldn't they go home?"
Survivor Discussion Time
Let's just say that maybe I can bring up some memories from any of the older seasons and analyze them. For example, let's talk about... the joint Tribal Council in Survivor - Kodai Island. (Survivor's messiest season lol.)
Okay, so it was the final seventeen. There was an early swap (two tribes to three tribes) in the previous round, and after Snake went home (putting a major fork in the plans of Samus and Captain Falcon), at the following immunity challenge, Master Hand announced that the first tribe and only the first tribe was going to be safe from the vote and everybod else was forced to go tribal. But the twist is that both of the losing teams will be going to tribal at the same time. (Bowser, Fox, Wolf, Ike, and Link versus Wii Fit Trainer, Bayonetta, Samus, Little Mac, Lucario, and Sonic).
The Tatakai Five were in the minority, and the Bokushingu Six had plans to vote off Bowser to weaken the Tatakai team in challenges while getting out a member of the old Sumasshu tribe to further increase Tatakai's overall numbers advantage. However, Wolf acutally used his idol on Bowser in this one. He plays it on Bowser cancelling six votes, causing Samus to be voted out of the game to further weaken the new Bokushingu tribe in challenges, becoming the most robbed player in Survivor history. (Second chance?)
And yeah, Sonic (game winner) had the biggest chance of going home here between the vote was between him and Samus for the Tatakai Five, but Sonic was not as strong as Samus in challenges so they targeted her over him. For Sonic, his life was spared, but... this vote didn't make much sense. Wii Fit Trainer? She was a major social pariah, even making Bowser look as if he was the most sociable player of that entire cast. Not a soul liked her, so... I feel like she should have been sent home here. It makes the most sense even regarding the remaining old Sumasshu people. Obviously they would have been okay with it and the big Tatakai tribe allinace should have formed together and unanimously voted her off. They don't lose much without her being in the game anymore. And then to top it all off, if old Tatakai went to tribal first, she was one thousand percent going home, so this right here was a major opportunity to vote her off, but the fact that Samus went home over first only adds onto the list of reasons to why she was so robbed. What a damn shame... That early tribe swap at the final eighteen completely f_ked her over.
(Want a more in depth discussion, my PMs are open.)
Alright. So,... I've decided that I will be doing the "Where Are They Now?" story upon the completion of this season. I'll still be taking a break, but for right now, I'm thinking to just drop chapters for it whenever I can. It's gonna be based on the relationships certain castaways developed with each other from the game and how things are going between them. Though if some of you have anymore ideas to suggest, I'm all ears and I'll think about it.
