Once again five o'clock came around like clockwork and Moon had to begin the preparations for the day. Moon dusted off the tables and set up a few planned games. Deciding that yesterday was far too rough. He stuck close to Harriette until the girl woke up. The girl was actually a pretty heavy sleeper, but she was still the type to wake up at a specific time pretty comfortably.
"Up?" Moon asked, the still sleepy girl, opening her arms to be picked up. She snuggled into the ruffles at their neck. Sleepily cuddling.
"G'morning, Misser Moon," Harriette said.
"Good morning, Harriette," Moon answered as he took her to the bathroom to get ready for the morning. She got dressed and Moon brushed her hair. Then they sat together filling in more of her spider booklet or talking about the other daycare kids. Emelia and the Weasleys arrived at the same time. The older brothers were scheduled for a shortened shift due to school work they needed to get done, and then their weekend would start. So they wouldn't be here tomorrow, but Ginny was still scheduled for the rest of the week. Wanting to continue spending the short amount of time she had with her new friend. Moon waved as the three siblings and then Emelia dropped into the ballpit. Emelia gives Moon a hug, then Harriette. The five kids ate breakfast together. Harriette gave Moon a hug before she followed others to play. Moon started setting up for a more controlled day. He didn't have the benefit of the Raywoods help today, so Sun had planned out a scheduled competition type game that would keep all the kids busy, but with enough rewards to keep some of the more bratty children under control. He checked the list of kids he'd be getting. Most had come on one of the previous days. It was going to be weird to see so many non-regulars again, but it made sense, given that all their parents were going to that conference thing. Moon sighted, setting up tables and obstacle courses, Harriette eventually noted his work and decided to start helping. Which resulted in the others making a game of it. Daniella was brought to the daycare only a short while later and she joined the efforts.
"Can't let the little kids do all the work around here," Daniella had teased.
Soon Katrina was also joining them to help with set up, which was so close to being done, that Sun added a new activity to the roster for the kids to choose from and had her do most of the set up. The later arrivals had already eaten breakfast, so Sun didn't have to worry about that. So, Sun fixed the oldest arrivals' hair and then sent the kids off to play a very complex game of house, which quickly evolved into a haunted house game by the twins. They, and Sun would jump out the 'scare', tickle or chase one of the others. Other kids joined, and eventually those who were caught died and began haunting the other kids. It was honestly surprisingly fun, but eventually the daycare was too full to not start the more controlled version of the games.
Kids were split into teams.
(This is here for when my friend joins and adds her portions to it. Werewolves would be appreciated by both of us as he puts it, 'That's characters we don't have to make' and as I put it; 'it keeps me accountable to all the other creators on this fic') (Thanks.)
Harriette had been having a great time playing with the others. She'd played haunted house, and eventually when it was decided that those caught died she'd played a very silly ghost. She'd had a lot of fun with that. Now they were playing an obstacle corse game and Harriette was doing really well. She wasn't brave enough to risk winning but she decided to test out being a very close second with Ginny. None of the other kids got mad at her, or if they did, Sun made them apologize and promise not to. Alecio and Alecia were back, but their brother wasn't anywhere to be seen. Apparently he was being taken around by someone to get to enjoy some of the other attractions. Harriette didn't really care, though, she liked Alice and Cio and didn't really care that their brother was mean. She ran around playing with all her daycare friends on the various games that they set up, and it was a lot of fun.
When the day was over Harriette had made friends with three sibling regulars who were really nice too. When everyone else was gone, she played with Mr. Sun. Then Mr. Moon dressed her for bed, and they filled in more of the pages for her spider booklet. She fell asleep in Mr. Moon's arms like she'd done the last two nights.
