A/N: a little late. but I got this.

Capitulo 19

The systems engineer has Emma's computer so the meeting is stalled. Emma had been working on the cloud. And she hadn't panicked because that was where her information was. She plugged the computer back in and restarted it in recovery mode to remove the Password implemented on the device. She was just angry that she didn't have full access to where she was supposed to have it. She knows that Ms. Mills is about to have a coronary, but she doesn't want to say anything to bring her hopes up.

"Emma, you have a back up right?" Regina asked. Emma nodded. "Can you use my computer?" She nodded. "Go!"

Emma got up and scurried off to Regina's office. Emma entered the cloud and finished the few number adjustments needed, collaborated with Killian for what she might have missed, and finally formatted her report. She just needed to print them.

Everyone had arrived in the conference room, anxiously awaiting the completed report. While Emma worked, Regina had the IT department handle the technical issue. Regina addressed the room, attempting to assure everyone that everything was under control.

"Why don't you show us the commercial you made for Fiat?" Cora asked.

Regina perked up. "Oh yes, I can show you that." She went to get the clip going, and Cora pulled her aside.

"You should have had all of this prepared. You can't keep looking like a fool in front of our investors."

"I know, Mother," Regina said. "This will never happen again."

"You should have let Lily put all of the reports together like she did in the last committee meeting. Everything was so well-organized and concise," Henry Sr. suggested.

Regina chuckled. "Daddy, Lily didn't…" She paused, glancing at Robin, who had a look on his face that silently communicated, "Don't you dare rat her out."

"She didn't what?" Henry asked.

"Have the time. I kept her way too busy," Regina appeased him, and Robin breathed a sigh of relief.

"So you have given up on promoting that imbecile you have in that cubbyhole, have you?" Cora asked.

Regina looked at her mother. "Of course, Mother," she said, her anger at the entire situation surfacing. "One moment, please…"

Regina walked out of the conference room and into her office, heading toward Emma, who was working furiously at the computer. "Emma, what is the file name for the Fiat Festival footage?" Regina asked.

Emma looked up at her boss and began to cry. "I'm so sorry, Ms. Mills. I swear I didn't mess up that computer. I feel like I have been sabotaged."

"That's fine. Do you have a backup, and are you working with it?" Regina asked.

"Yes, but I had made a lot of progress since I had been working, and it set me back an hour or two."

"Oh, Emma," Regina said. "What are we gonna do? I don't even know how I am going to go back in there and face them to tell them that I want to promote you. You deserve that promotion."

Sobbing, Emma shook her head. "I don't care about the stupid promotion. All I care about is you and your reputation, your image. I just messed all of this up for you."

Regina paused and looked at the young girl. "Please stop crying. It is not the end of the world." She reached for some tissues and handed them to Emma. "I prefer to be angry than depressed. Tears won't solve our problems. We will push the meeting back. You work on these things. We'll get it together."

Regina left her office and returned to the conference room, now armed with the file name she had been looking for.

"Well, I propose we reconvene in two months," Zelena stated in the conference room, her proposal hanging in the air. "As long as we can set up a permanent audit of the company's finances."

Regina looked at her sister. "You say you don't have the time to do a committee meeting, but somehow you have the time to do a permanent audit?"

Zelena rolled her eyes. "There is a difference between wasting away all day at a meeting than to peruse a daily finance report." She leaned back and shrugged. "Either way, this is just a proposal. And I hope the board approves. I am more than just an investor of the company. It is my patrimony."

"No one is denying that," Cora said to her daughter. "I think that proposal is only fair."

"Great," Zelena said, dusting off her sleeves. "The reports should be given to Cruella DeVille, who will be in charge of remitting them to me."

"Wait a minute," Regina said, a bit offended. "I am no child nor a delinquent. Why should I be monitored like one? I am not stealing from my own company; I can't accept that."

"Well, maybe if you had prepared properly, little sister, you wouldn't have this come down on your head now, would you?" Zelena faced off with her sister.

"She's right," Cora stated. "The audit is a consequence of this disaster. Of this meeting."

Regina dropped her hands onto her face, the weight of the situation sinking in.

Regina hopped to stall the committee from leaving while Emma finished the balance sheet. And the perfect solution came when Lily swept into the conference room. "Excuse me all. Our Director, Mal would like to invite you all to watch the filming of the final scenes in the commercial we are producing today."

"Yes!" Regina said standing. "Let's go do that. Then we can finish the meeting."

The entire committee asserted and headed to the studio, and Regina prayed Emma could make some Miracle happen."

Emma finished her tasks and printed the new balance sheet just in time. She rushed to the copy room and prepared the files. Once done, Emma stood outside of the production area. She had been banned from here to protect Maleficent's sensibilities, but she had good news for Regina, and she wasn't going to be deterred.

Entering the production area, Emma tried to sneak toward Ms. Mills, who was watching a little girl jump a small ramp on the set. "And Cut!" Mal stated, happy with her little actress. "That's a wrap, guys! That was brilliant!"

The committee clapped at the scene, and the child actress only smiled in pride. Emma took this chance to approach. Mal spotted her first and shouted, "What is this eyesore doing here? I have banned you from production. I don't need you infecting my space with your plain Jane ways… shoo, go away!"

"That's enough," Regina spoke up, watching how Emma shrank away. She didn't like it when people treated her Executive assistant badly.

"Are you defending her in MY space? I can't stand you, Regina Mills," Mal said, stomping her foot, causing a spark to fly, and the camera that recorded the commercial fell over, destroying the footage.

"Mal…" Regina and Robin stated, looking at the temperamental witch.

Emma stared at the numbers she had just fully constructed falling apart. She wanted to cry.

"Don't worry about it," Regina stated. "The camera was insured. Was there something you needed, Ms. Swan?"

"Oh… I finished everything. I am getting the balance sheet printed off and ready for your meeting."

"For real?" Regina said happily.

"Yup," Emma stated. "I am going to have it all ready in the conference room for you."

"No, Emma, you need to be in that committee meeting with us."

"Why?" Emma asked.

"Because I don't know the balance sheet like you do. I don't know how you manipulated the numbers; I can't improvise that."

"You think the Board is going to accept that I am in this meeting?" Emma asked nervously.

"Emma," Regina said, interrupting her. "Don't make me even more nervous than I already am. You will be there, period."

"Yes, Ms. Mills," Emma said.

"They are going to look that balance sheet over with kid gloves," Regina said to Emma. "Zelena is acting really strange. Are you sure that the numbers are well balanced out? Because if not, you and I will be in the morgue by the end of the day."

"Yes, I know, Ms. Mills…" Emma said and swallowed, "Keep calm, everything will be fine."

"Where are the real numbers?" Regina asked.

"In my cloud. Behind 150 characters of encryption," Emma stated.

"Perfect," Regina said, almost giddy. "Go get the conference room ready."

"Yes, Ms. Mills," Emma said and headed off toward the printers.

"Everyone, good news," Regina said, returning to the committee. "The balance sheet is ready and it is waiting for you in the conference room."

The group convened in the conference room. Lily had been messing with the files, and she had everyone take a seat. Regina headed for Emma's office. "Hey Emma, why…"

She paused. The blonde was surrounded by the secretarial pool. Her squad seemed to be preparing her to be sweeping her aura with crystals. "What's going on here?"

Emma looked at Regina and blinked. "Um… they were… uh cleansing my aura," Emma stated.

"Is it clean enough? Everyone is waiting in the Conference room." Regina asked, a bit annoyed.

"Uh… Yeah…" Emma said, freeing herself from the group and walking to the conference room.
