~Remnant-II – Jaune POV~

Mu-ha-ha-ha! Yes! Their reaction was so wonderful! First things first. The people needed some supplies as they had run out of food. I gave them hundreds of boxes of food.

~It's all about fruits and veggies, you see. They're the key to a healthy you and me! Carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower too. They're packed with vitamins, that's true.~

~Spinach, kale, and a juicy red apple. They'll keep you fit. You won't want to grapple! Bananas, grapes, and strawberries sweet. They make for a delicious treat.~

~Oranges, lemons, and limes so sour. They give you energy, hour after hour! So let's all remember to eat our greens. And all the colorful fruits in between.~

~A healthy body, a healthy mind. That's the secret we're here to find! Fruits and veggies, we love you so. In our bodies, you help us glow. So let's eat right and stay in shape. With every bite, we feel great!~

Crap! I made that song to lighten the mood of the children. Now it's stuck in my head! Why, oh, why did I have to make that song? I should have made it less catchy! Then again, it made all those children smile. I guess that's what really matters. Who cares if it's stuck in my head?

Right, back on track. Since I finished feeding the masses, I decided to help the people with their living conditions. The place they were staying was no place for children to be, but they had nowhere else to go. In that case, we might as well make this place great for the children. I made homes for them and even a playground for the kids to have fun. In these dark times, seeing their smiles brings joy to the people. What better way for the children's smile to increase positivity to push away Grimm?

The people were happier with the changes I made. Through the houses I made for them, the heating issue was solved. However, this is only in this small area. The other parts of Mantle do not have heating. See! I knew the idea of a city-wide central heating was a bad idea! Ha! Take that, Saph! Central heating per household is a much better idea! It's dumb to give control of the heating to a single company.

Now, I'm not saying I do not have a way to solve the problem. On the contrary, I have dozens of spells that would quickly achieve it. But! What would happen when I leave? This is not like the wall. This needs the active usage of mana. Hold on a second? How can the wall use its abilities without the active usage of mana? That's something to think about. For now, let's help the people with the heating issue.

While thinking of what spell to use, I heard the Happy Huntresses speaking among themselves. "I can't believe he has a semblance like mine! He is capable of storing things!"

I then heard another say. "I don't think it's a semblance, Fiona. He is quite weird. We all saw how he was able to create all those houses in an instant. Then, earlier, we saw him build a wall throughout Mantle in a matter of a moment. If it is a semblance, then he must have two, at the very least. That's unheard of."

Then Fiona looked at her friend. "What else can it be? Magic? Joanna, do you believe in magic?"

The girl I now know is Joanna, said. "Is it that absurd? We are living in a world where dark creatures roam the world. Heck! We have powers we call semblances!"

Another girl from the group, I believe she is May, the person Fiona mentioned earlier. You know, about me having a better butt than her. And I must say, Fiona is right. Anyway, I heard her saying. "Are you guys not realizing something important? Doesn't this guy look like Jaune? Heck! Just make him slightly shorter, and they'll almost be identical! How are you not being more cautious?"

I saw Joanna look at May. "He has been helping us. He hasn't done anything wrong. What would he get from helping us if he had an ulterior motive? We are barely surviving since we didn't have supplies, and we had to steal all kinds of supplies from Atlas."

Shaking my head, I got to casting a spell for creating a heating for Mantle. I call this spell [Blaze]. You know, because they needed a blazing heat to keep them warm. Tsk! I guess I'm not as good as Yang when making puns. I still don't know why Ruby had to make me not laugh at her jokes. They were punny!

Immediately as I cast the spell, the place became warmer, and the surrounding air was easier to breathe. That was all well and good, but the adults did not become any more cheerful. The children's smiles can only do so much. So, I asked the Happy Huntresses. "What's wrong with the people?"

Joanna replied to my question with a sigh. "There is nothing we can do about it. They lost their job due to Jacques closing down their workplace. This has been a big problem since they are causing too much negativity that Grimm poured in."

Yikes. That's not something I can help them within this immediate moment. The food I gave them was only a temporary supply. They know it's limited and would eventually run out. Without monetary resources, they could not provide for their family. As much as I want to help them, I cannot do so, which sucks since I feel useless. I have an over-abundant amount of money with me. The issue is I can't take it out since it is in my bank account. My account and my counterpart's account are the same. If I insert my card to make a withdrawal, it shows up with the amount of my counterpart.

I've done as much as I could here. Now, I need to see what I can do to stop the giant flying whale that landed in Atlas. I can always use my [Purification] to destroy all the Grimm, sans the flying ones. If they are too high, my spell will not be able to reach them, which sucks. Huh? I need the girls' help. They can deal with the Grimm while I search for the egg, which is important. If someone gets their hands on it, chaos will ensue. Augh! I really don't want to let them experience this world, but I can't do everything alone. This world's RWBY and friends are great, but they are not enough to deal with the massive amounts of Grimm I'm seeing around that whale thing. Curses! I could eliminate them all in one spell if there were no flying Grimm.

~Remnant~

Nora was groaning in boredom. "Girls! I'm bored! I want to kick some Grimm butt! Let's head to the Emerald Forest since Jaune isn't around to bring us to the Dreamscape."

Ruby was as bored as Nora. She shouted. "I second that! We don't have any more homework since we finished it already. This would be a great activity to pass the time."

Lei, sitting in a meditating pose. "I could use a bit of stretching. I've been meditating for quite a while."

Nora then had an idea. "How about we make it a game! A competition! The one that kills the most Grimm can order the losers for a week!"

Weiss had a thoughtful expression. "This would be a great bonding experience. It would have been more perfect if Jaune was here."

As if on cue. "Hey, girls!"

Everyone looked in the voice's direction. "Jaune!"

Nora got up to Jaune's face. "Where have you been? We've been bored since you were gone."

Jaune giggled. Of course, Nora would be blunt. "Since you guys are bored, how about coming with me to another version of Remnant?"

Pyrrha was intrigued. "This would be quite the experience. We would be meeting a different version of ourselves."

Jaune then sighed. He had a saddened look. "That's true. But the version of Remnant we're going to did not go in a path we would have expected."

Amber stood up from her corner. "Tell us more."

Jaune explained everything that he was told about the world. They gasped in horror. Amber was happy to know the identity of the woman that attacked her. Once they return, the following morning, she plans to capture her and rip her a new one.

Amber looked at Jaune. "Let me guess. In that world, you did something to that bitch Cinder, didn't you?"

Jaune puffed out his chest and tapped it with his fist. "Of course! The mere thought of you being killed saddened me. And with me being close to the one responsible, it made me lose a bit of self-control. But I did not regret what I did. She did not deserve the power of the Maiden, and she needed to be punished for her transgression. I know it's not our world, but I just had to do it."

Ruby, thinking about what Jaune told them, asked. "Wait. Is the egg you're talking about related to that Beast of the Rift?"

Jaune nodded. "It is the egg of the Beast of the Rift. If we can get it, I can use it to get stronger, and we'll be a step closer to defeating the one that is targeting me."

Weiss spoke. "Then, what are we waiting for? Let's head to that world and find it! We'll deal with the Grimm as you suggested, and we can go on a Grimm-exterminating adventure. We agreed to a competition to see who can kill the most, with the winner getting to order the losers around."

Jaune looked at them. "Are you girls not affected by what I said about this version of our world?"

Blake answered. "It is more reason for us to go. It can help us get more information about the enemy we have. Salem, Cinder, The Brother Gods. They might have what we need to know to stop them."

Nora spoke. "Technically, Jaune can kill Salem since he has that super awesome weapon that can kill even an immortal."

Jaune nodded in agreement. "That is true, but I feel that killing Salem is not the right choice. I have this gut feeling telling me I must save her."

Yang looked at Jaune. "Seriously? Did you not tell us about the atrocities she has committed?"

Jaune said. "I know! But I want to see it her first hand before deciding to kill her!"

The group continued to talk. Eventually, they headed to the parallel dimension. Whatever happens, Jaune plans to make sure his girls are safe.
