~Remnant-II~

RWBY and the others were killing Grimm left and right. All was going well. But they felt that something was wrong. They did not disregard these feelings, as each felt a sense of dread.

Ruby looked at each of her friends. "Guys! Did any of you feel that?"

Yang answered. "I did! I felt something was going to happen soon! We need to clean up all the Grimm as soon as we can! I'm not going to ignore my instincts."

Weiss spoke. "We need to evacuate all these soldiers. Whatever is causing our senses to feel this way must be something huge!"

Nora smashed a Grimm with Magnhild, followed by a lightning strike. Lei sliced the head off of a Manticore. Then Pyrrha bashed her shield on the Megoliath, sending it flying.

Nora stopped what she was doing and pointed at something. "Hey! There is something there!"

Everyone looked at where she was pointing. It was a giant dog like Grimm with wings. But there was something amiss about it.

Pyrrha voiced her concern. "Something is going on with that Grimm."

Lei nodded. "Indeed. It seems to be writhing in pain."

Ruby voiced her opinion. "But Grimm does not feel pain. At least, I don't think so."

While they were watching the Grimm in the air, they felt a massive surge of energy coming from it. This had them worried. Ruby spoke. "That feeling that we were feeling, I think this is it! We need to get everyone out of here, now!"

Ruby and the others made their way back to the others.

Rose and her friends saw them telling everyone to evacuate. This was not a good sign. If people, as powerful as they are, are evacuating people, then there must be something wrong.

Rose used her semblance to arrive in front of Ruby. She asked. "What is going on?"

Ruby pointed at the Grimm in the sky. "See that? Something is wrong with it, and we feel massive energy coming from it. It is emitting more power than Jaune!"

Rose was shocked, and so were her friends. "Are you serious?"

Ruby nodded. "Deadly serious. We need to evacuate everyone out of here!"

Evacuate they did. Ruby and Rose spoke to Winter and Qrow to get the word out to get out of the immediate area. However, it was too late. The Grimm was changed. Its once-white mask has become black with purple lines. Its body was turned gray with tentacles jutting out of its back.

Qrow, whom Rose was speaking to, saw the thing in front of him. "That is not good."

The Grimm, now known as Tentacle Monster, used its tentacles to grab Ruby and Rose. Luckily, Jaune arrived in time to deflect the tentacles. Unfortunately, even using his Omni-Sword form, the [Absolute Armament] did nothing to it.

Jaune looked at them. "Evacuate everyone and leave the Tentacle Monster to me! For some reason, I want to ensure that thing catches none of you girls."

Ruby nodded at Jaune. "Whatever that thing is, be careful! I can feel how much more powerful it is compared to you."

Jaune returned the nod. "I know. Now, go! Get everyone to safety! And ask Pyrrha to use her shield to protect everyone!"

It did not take long before everyone was taken to safety. If anywhere was safe. There was a reason Jaune asked Ruby to tell Pyrrha to use her shield to protect everyone. It was the only thing that could do so. It is, after all, Akhilleus Kosmos.

Facing the Tentacle Monster, Jaune now saw, in detail, its figure. It was a grotesque creature with a writhing mass of tentacles and a form of a hound Grimm covered in slimy, serrated suckers. Its eyes glowed eerie, otherworldly light, and its fanged maw dripped with venom.

Jaune commented. "You're one ugly bitch."

He knew he couldn't rely solely on his human form to defeat this abomination. Light covered Jaune, and he was now in his Kitsune form through [Beast Takeover].

Jaune cracked his neck. "Let's see what you've got!" His training kicked in, and he dodged to the side, narrowly avoiding the tentacles. He swung his sword in a wide arc, aiming for the beast's thick, slimy, tentacle-ridden hide. The blade made contact, but the creature's tough exterior showed no sign of scratching.

The beast retaliated with a flurry of tentacle strikes, each a deadly whip of flesh and muscle. Jaune danced and weaved and returned the move of the beast with his own set of tail whips, his spear deflecting some of the blows while slashing at the tentacles whenever there was an opening.

Sparks flew as steel clashed against monstrous sinew. Jaune's determination burned like a fire within him. He knew he had to find a way to penetrate the beast's defenses. As the tentacles continued to assault him, he spotted a pattern, a moment of vulnerability in the creature's attacks.

Jaune managed to sidestep a particularly vicious tentacle strike with precision and timing. He lunged forward, driving his sword into a vulnerable spot between the scales. The beast let out a deafening roar of pain…before laughing at him. The sword never made contact as it created an opening on its body to let the sword pass through. It knew it could not let the weapon cause damage, as it would be its doom.

Jaune continued to press the attack, relentlessly targeting areas he thought were vulnerable. The beast's tentacles thrashed wildly in agony as it had to continue tearing its body apart to make sure not to get hurt by the sword, but Jaune was relentless.

Jaune saw it. 'I see! That thing can only take so much more! When it did it the first time, it laughed to confuse me, and I fell for it. Tearing its own body open is indeed causing it immense pain, at least when doing it multiple times in a row.'

The beast brought out its wings and flew. Jaune followed.

Ruby and the others watched the scene before them. They saw nothing but two lines of light colliding with one another.

Qrow commented. "You got to be kidding me! He can't be human. I understand the evolution thing, but this is just ridiculous!"

With one of the attacks of Jaune and the Beast colliding close by, a massive pressure hit their area. Luckily, Pyrrha had Akhilleus Kosmos active. Otherwise, they would have been decimated.

Winter gave her comment. "This is no longer a fight in the realm of humanity! This is so much more than that."

Qrow looked at Oscar. "So, Ozma. Ever seen a fight like that back in your time as Ozma?"

Oscar shook his head. This was Ozpin speaking. "No, there has never been a level of this sort back then. Unless…it was a fight between the God of Light and Darkness."

Qrow was shocked. "Are you telling me the kid is on par with the Gods?"

Oscar shook his head. "No, he seemed to be stronger. Every second they are fighting, I can feel him getting stronger."

Pyrrha interjected. "That's because Jaune has yet to go all out. He is testing that thing!"

Oscar was about to say something, but they heard Nora. "Look! Jaune released the [Loop of Binding]! He is now getting serious…Oh, damn! Jaune entered Sage Mode!"

As Jaune entered Sage Mode, his hair and tails turned white. Looking at the Tentacle Monster, he delivered a recoilless kick. He got this martial art when he arrived at the 80th floor of the dungeon in Orario. It is called Renewal Taekwondo or Re-Taekwondo.

The kick was so powerful that he sent the beast to the moon. This was evidenced when the shattered moon became even more so.

As Jaune performed the kick, he was sent to the ground due to not having complete mastery over it. But that didn't matter. He arrived on the moon with a mighty leap and delivered a Recoilless Baekdu to the beast. This was a knee strike.

Using the debris from the moon, Jaune made his way to the Beast and delivered a Recoilles Gor Yo.

The beast opened its mouth and fired a concentrated beam, which Jaune countered using [Reflection Fortress], a spell he got when Greed was broken down. However, this was not enough, and he knew this. Thus, he returned the attack with ten times its power.

Jaune was winning only because the beast could not yet use its full power due to its vessel's limitation. Each of his strikes was targeting only a single spot on the beast. Why? Because he wanted to soften it to be able to pierce its hide. However, his body was overheating as he overused his [Ultra Instinct]. That's right, Jaune was now in his most powerful form. He entered this form before heading to space. Yet, he was barely beating this infant Beast of the Rift without its own body. This goes to show how powerful the juvenile Beast of the Rift is.

Through the confusion of being hit by its attack, Jaune did not waste this opportunity to deliver countless Recoilless Fist Strikes to a single spot. Truly, Jaune could not bring out the martial arts true powers as this is the first time he has used it seriously.

Jaune grabbed the beast on its head with the last hurrah and threw it back on Remnant. Upon entry to the planet, Jaune tossed the beast, pushed himself forward to reach it, and delivered one last Recoiless Fist Strike to cause an injury on its hide. As the beast fell, he let it hit the Monstra to destroy it. However, the beast was not dead. Thus, he hurled his [Absolute Spear] and hit the beast on its injury.
