so this is how the other chars are gonna be:
wallachia/romania
* bulgaria's bff since childhood
* always tags along bulgaria's bizarre endeavors
* and sometimes it's him who starts the bizarre endeavors and bulgaria simply would tag along
* overall both are weirdoes and get along great
* but his social skills are much better than bulgaria's
* yet they still aren't good bc he can't realize that joyfully telling people about a ruler who'd impale people on stakes is disturbing
* isn't it weird that bulgaria got scared? when his ruler, khan krum, made a skull cup in 811 from the head of the defeated eastern roman emperor?
* also tsar kaloyan was rumoured to have made a skull cup from the head of baldwin of flanders
* when they were children, wallachia made it clear that he didn't care about yogurt so bulgaria never talked to him about yogurt, unless when he'd decide to annoy his friend on purpose
* at some point in the late 19th century, he developed romantic feelings towards bulgaria that remained unrequited bc bulgaria saw him as a friend
* also bulgaria simped for russia so there's that
* nowadays those feelings are almost gone
* overall not that different from the canon romania, except goofier bc that's a silly crackfic
russia
* can be really passive-aggressive at times
* like a mean girl or a bully
* and toxic
* "sorry u feel that way"
* a product of his environment, grew up along humans who treated him in such a way
* "sorry if I've said something that has offended u"
* one is to wonder if he's truly cruel and if he truly intends to hurt people for his own sadistic enjoyment, or if he's simply clueless and hurts people on accident, without intending to hurt them
* maybe it's like a combination of the two, like he doesn't intend to hurt people, but when he does, he simply enjoys it? idk
* but then again, he can be rlly kind, friendly, accommodating and ready to help others
* oddly patient with bs that comes from his close ones (bulgaria, belarus)
* yeah he's not that different from the canon russia
* tends to get flustered at bulgaria's idiotic yogurt jokes ("y'know what else is white and feels liquid in my hand?")
* what if he had a thing for bulgaria and that's why he helped bulgaria regain his freedom? and then, he pretended he's unaware of bulgaria's feelings for him just to troll him?
* or maybe he's bad with social skills and reading body language, so he's unaware that he's making people uncomfortable until they tell him "you're making me uncomfortable"
* thus he'd be unaware of bulgaria's feelings
greece
* not really different from his canon self
* tends to get annoyed with bulgaria talking about yogurt
* which is rlly ironic bc he'd annoy others by talking about philosophy as a child
* still he'll listen to bulgaria patiently
* and when bulgaria gets too annoying, he'll retreat to his own mind, thinking about his stuff such as philosophy and having philosophical debates in his head
* bulgaria doesn't even notice that greece isn't mentally present
* in the first half of the 20th century they didn't really like each other much
* but then they became good friends
* nowadays bulgaria likes to come to his beaches to chill so they chill together
the ottoman empire/turkey
* despite how bad the ottoman empire was, I don't think he as a person was cruel with people
* maybe the worst he did was acting like a bully and making snide remarks to make up for his feelings of inferiority and powerlessness caused by some of his bosses?
* like I like the idea of nations having a person-like aspect to them, as in no matter what their country, their army or their bosses do, they can choose to behave themselves in a different way
* also what if he bullied people without intending to offend them? like he didn't realize he was hurting them with his words, but when he did, he stopped behaving himself in such a way?
* he developed some sort of an odd friendship with bulgaria where bulgaria would constantly talk to him about yogurt and similar fermented milk products that came from "da steppez"
* what if he let bulgaria to monologue about yogurt bc he knew it made bulgaria feel better? and he felt kinda bad for what bulgaria and bulgaria's people were going through?
* but bulgaria would get rlly annoying with this yogurt stuff bc he thought turkey genuinely cared about yogurt as much as he did bc turkey never said "shut up and f*ck off with that yogurt sh*t"
* and turkey would get rlly annoyed bc bulgaria would come to his room in the middle of the night so he could monologue about yogurt, like he was more annoying than greece with his moussaka, philosophy and cats
* and it's easier to get rid of greece than to get rid of bulgaria
* I mean at least greece isn't being annoying and respects other people's personal space when they ask him to
* besides it's easier to drag out a child and lock your door than to drag out someone your age who insists on telling you the details of yogurt making
* and turkey wanted to sleep bc he had an important meeting with his boss the next day, dammit!
* their friendship kinda fell apart at the end of the 19th century when bulgaria got his freedom back
* like on one hand bulgaria wanted to be friends with him, but on other hand, due to what his people wanted, he wanted to not be his friend and to never see him again
* he felt like a traitor to his own people for befriending turkey
* although in recent days, they've rekindled their friendship
* but overall turkey isn't gonna be really different from the canon, maybe he'd be goofier
