The ESU Campus…
Peter was carrying a package for Eddie as his Aunt May wanted to get him something.
Aunt May could only imagine how hard it must be to constantly study, and resort to eating takeout every single day, she did it once herself with Uncle Ben when they were in college together. A home-cooked meal would be something many would chew off their leg for. Peter was looking for the man he calls his bro until he bumped into another man, with robots of spiders.
"Oof, watch where you-!"
The college student suddenly stopped as he was soon bewitched by the darling thing that was picking himself back up from the ground. So wondrous and charming… the young man was something he has never seen before and was drawn by his beauty. It was almost like gazing upon the silk of a spiderweb that glimmered with rainbow colors. Something so beautiful almost seemed impossible to come from nature itself. Like a fly, he was drawn helplessly to the beautiful web. The gorgeous, gorgeous web…
"Oh, forgive me for being such short. As a gentleman, I shouldn't forget my manners." He apologized to Peter.
"No, no, I should be apologizing to you. I should have looked where I was going. My aunt wanted me to deliver some lunch to my bro. Almost forgot… I'm Peter Parker." Peter introduced himself to the robotic expert with many trinkets around him.
Then there was a flicker of realization that came to his eyes.
"Peter?"
At Eddie's room…
The ESU College student felt beat and exhausted after an entire session of studying and researching, his head aching like crazy.
All he wanted to do was find something to eat and curl up in bed, nursing his poor head with medicine. Yeesh, these past following weeks have been something that was slowly draining him…
Peter's spider powers…
Ben's death…
Spider-man…
Max becoming Electro…
Peter's new powers and mutation…
The Lizard…
Villains…
Then there was something else… something that he wanted to give to Peter. Something that they both rightfully deserve for a while now. Maybe when they get what was stolen from them maybe… maybe then he can finally tell Peter.
"Hey, Bro~! Delivery from May Parker Kitchen!" Peter goofily called from the door, knocking as he smiled at Peter's antics.
"Come on in, I could use some homestyle cooking." Eddie smiled, leaving out that he preferred May's over Peters.
Or anything over Peter's cooking…
Especially from that time in a cooking class where he created an abomination of science, got it taken to the lab, then banned from cooking.
So, yeah. A meal from Aunt May sounded pretty good and seeing Peter's smiling face was a bonus.
"Hey, Pete. See you got me some of Aunt May's specialty."
"You bet. Meatloaf, potato salad, biscuits, and some coleslaw with apple pie for dessert. Aunt May wants you to eat something solid before the pie." Peter informed his big buddy since they were babies.
"Oh, believe me. I do not want to cross her." Eddie chuckled as he was amazed at how warm the food still was.
"Yep, and thanks to my shortcuts it stayed nice and warm. But I did bump into someone on the way. You're never going to believe who." Peter spoke excitedly as the blond stopped eating for a moment.
"Who?" Eddie wondered.
"Me."
Eddie turned around and saw the ghost of their past, a dark phantom returning to their lives to haunt them once again.
"Alister Smythe," Eddie growled a bit.
"Happy to see you too, old chum. How has life been treating you? I cannot wait to get together and catch up."
