ok ok but imagine
bulgaria, during his khanate days (early 9th century)
he'd probably be a little kid, maybe he'd be like a 9-10 years old human kid
the year is 805, khan krum (yeah, the one with the skull cup, even though he didn't have a skull cup yet) has just conquered whatever was remaining from the avar khaganate after the khaganate was devastated by the franks in 803
now imagine:
BULGARIA DOING FORTNITE DANCES OVER THE AVAR KHAGANATE'S DYING BODY
'b-boy...' the dying man's lips move as he speaks with difficulty between faint coughs and gasps for air. 'come here... there's something... I need to t-tell you... before I die...'
the young bulgaria stops dancing and kneels besides him, lowering his head near the khaganate's face so he can hear his last words properly.
'what is it?' the boy asks impudently, still proud of his victory.
'MINECRAFT IS BETTER THAN FORTNITE' *dies before bulgaria can reply*
in a serious au, the dying avar khaganate's advice towards bulgaria would be something like 'don't let corruption, scheming, discord, avarice and drunkenness spread among ur ppl if u wanna live and thrive' cuz a byzantine text from the 10th century says that when khan krum conquered the avars, he asked them what led to the failure of their state and they said that judges had become corrupt & acquainted with the thieves, that everybody became merchants and scammed each other to profit, that ppl weren't united, that ppl became drunkards, etc, I don't remember exactly
maybe the byzantines made it up, maybe it was true, idk
