We hear the quiet snoring of someone, and the screen goes down to see who it's coming from.
In a tree, we see a teenager taking a nap.
He's fourteen years old, looks African-American, and has a pair of glasses with black frames.
Don't stereotype him, he's not a nerd. The glasses are to hide something about his eyes.
He's wearing a jean jacket, a black and grey striped shirt underneath, some black jeans, a pair of red sneakers with white soles.
This boy is Aaron Palmer, and it looks like he's just now waking up.
With a yawn, he sat up before rubbing his eyes.
"*stretches* Man, I needed that."
When he adjusted his legs, he hopped off the branch he was sitting on, and he landed on the ground.
Looks like he was in a grassy area in a park.
He looked up in the sky. It was partially cloudy.
But when he saw the sun, he tilted his head, like he was trying to get used to the sky because it looked different or something.
Aaron shrugged it off before he started walking down the sidewalk.
He kept looking around the place as if the scenery didn't look as if he wasn't used to it.
Don't get him wrong, he loves a natural walk in the park, the air was sweet, and the weather was nice, it's just...there was something about this scene that didn't feel...usual to him.
He took another look to the sky.
It was three seconds before his attention was taken by a rhombus shaped kite flying past...and right into a pretty tall tree.
He heard the 'Aww's of two kids, a boy and a girl, and saw their upset faces when he followed the kite string down to them.
When most teenagers see this kind of thing, what do you think their response is?
Either laugh at the kids as they passed by them, or walk in the other direction and act like they didn't see anything.
Aaron, however, is a separate case.
Aaron took two steps back, and ran forward towards the tree.
The kids heard footsteps and looked just in time to see Aaron jump.
And Aaron jumped high to reach the top of this tall tree, which made the kids watch in awe.
Aaron made it to the kite, and snatched it out of the tree before landing with his feet on the ground.
He handed it to the kids saying, "Here you go." with a kind smile.
The kids' awe was replaced with confusion and shock.
"Uh, this is yours, right?" Aaron said being confused when they didn't answer.
They shook the feeling out of their heads before they nodded.
Aaron gave them the kite and walked off saying, "Catch ya around."
That's the first time Aaron actually interacted with anyone before showing up in this town.
The kids were cute, but Aaron thought they were a little off.
It's like they never saw a teen help some children before or something.
Anyway, Aaron's seen walking through the park's exit.
He saw himself in a town and looked around.
He thought out loud, "Well, that confirms it."
This place was definitely nothing like his home.
What I meant by that wa-
"Hey, an ice cream truck."
Hey, don't you know it's rude to cut off the speake- And, he went to get ice cream.
After Aaron got an ice pop and a vanilla cone, the truck just drove off right after he payed.
Aaron watched the truck go, confused on why it left so quick, before hearing footsteps.
Coming over was a little boy, who seemed to be out of breath, stopped to catch it with a dollar in his hand.
Aaron put the pieces together.
The truck left when they saw the kid trying to by himself a treat and from the look of the kid's state, he's been chasing this one truck for a while.
Aaron rolled his eyes. He never understood why some people do that. There's nothing wrong with giving kids ice cream.
Wasn't that the point of ice cream trucks in the first place? Geez...
The kid felt a tap on his shoulder, and saw that it was Aaron.
The teen presented both frozen treats to the kid. "Take your pick."
The boy knew he was tired from running, but he had to be hallucinating.
There was no way this teen was letting him have one of his cold treats.
But he was proven wrong when the teen said, "Eh, what the heck." and placed both treats into his hands himself.
"You probably need them more than I do. You look exhausted."
Aaron gave a kind smile before walking past him.
Okay, that might've been the weirdest thing to have ever happened to the boy, but hey. He got ice cream and got to keep his money.
As for Aaron, he was just humming while continuing his walk down the street when suddenly, he stopped.
He had some kind of feeling, sixth sense, or something going off in the back of his head, and he looked around.
He finally turned when he heard a loud *BOOM! CRASH!* and saw debris go flying in different directions a few buildings over.
He ran his way over there, pretty quickly I might add, and when he got there,
"Oh my stars. What the hey happened here?"
The entire section of this street looked like a mess. Like an exploding bulldozer came through here.
There were cracks in the street and buildings, vehicles turned over and/or wrecked, and heavy debris everywhere.
And the weird thing was, these vehicles looked to be made like their parts came from a scrapyard. Like someone took engines and mechanics from other stuff and put them onto campers.
Aaron then heard a few groans and saw a pair of feet and an outstretched arm from under one of the flipped over vehicles.
Aaron swiftly went over there, and without much effort, he lifted the vehicle off the bodies and was perplexed to see that there were two children underneath.
They looked suited up in makeshift gear and armor too.
"You two okay?" Aaron asked.
It might've been that the attack these two had, but these two were barely still awake, and they were struggling to believe that a teenager just helped them and asked if they were okay.
Right before Aaron could say or do something else, he heard a voice roar, "BACK OFF!"
He turned in that direction of that yell.
"I know that voice..."
Ahead, there was more kids firing weapons at the person who seemed to be the cause of this mess.
...At least I think it's a person.
He looks like a living eight feet tall marble statue of a teenager in a hoodie.
That's something you don't see everyday.
Said living statue was walking towards the kids, as if he didn't feel a thing from what their weapons was shooting at him.
He took his fist, and slammed it into the ground, making a big shock wave.
It shook the ground and the kids dropped their weapons when they shook.
The statue grabbed two kids by their necks and was about to do something bad, when suddenly,
*CRASH!*
One of the vehicles from before crashed into him from behind. The sudden impact made him drop the kids in the process.
The statue turned to see that it was Aaron who threw it. Yes, 'threw' it.
"Pick on someone your own size, Marble!" Aaron said.
The statue, now recognized as 'Marble' replied with rage, "There is no one my size!"
Marble charged at Aaron and readied a punch.
He released it when he was right in front of Aaron and the punch hit.
...Well, it hit the ground making it crack. Marble saw that it didn't hit Aaron as if he wasn't just standing in the spot he was anymore.
"Uh, over here, big guy."
Marble turned to his left to see Aaron leaning against a lamppost nonchalantly with a smile.
That smile was a taunt, and Marble knew that.
He charged at Aaron with another punch, but he ended up hitting the ground again.
Aaron was now behind Marble.
When Marble noticed this, he let out an enraged yell. He ripped the lamppost out of the ground and flung it at Aaron.
Aaron rolled his eyes with a smile. When the post came at him, he jumped in the air and dodged it with a side spin.
The kids who saw this were all dumbfounded.
It was either because they just came in contact with some bohemoth of a new villain that was hecka strong and tough, or they just met this teen who just helped them, was pretty fast and strong himself, and was taunting this guy as if he was no big deal.
The speedy and strengthy teen himself lifted his glasses, revealing his shining goldish-yellow eyes, and winked at Marble.
Right after, Aaron was enveloped in a bright gold light, and after it was gone, Aaron's look was completely different.
He's mostly wearing goldish-yellow.
No kidding, he now has on a T-shirt of said color with a gold star on the chest area, over it is a jacket of a darker shade, on his hands were fingerless gloves that each had a gold star on them. His jeans are the only thing on him that aren't that color and are still black, his sneakers are also now goldish-yellow with some white still at the soles and on the sides of the shoes are one gold star each.
Aaron lowered his glasses, which now had goldish-yellow trimming, and said, "Hey, Marble!"
In a gold blur, he ran right at Marble, and as he passed he delivered a right hook right into Marble's face, and the strength and power of it knocked it right off his feet and onto his back.
"Let's play Follow the Leader!" Aaron continued as he kept running fast down the street in a blur.
Marble got back onto his feet and he did not look happy.
In a fit of rage, Marble let out a mad, "YOU ARE DEAD!" and charged after Aaron.
Back to the kids, they were trying to stand on their feet.
While some went to help their fellow comrades who were in the trail of wreckage down the street, one took out a communicator of some kind and said into it, "This is Numbuh 235; we're gonna need backup."
As for Aaron, he's still running down the street as fast as inhumanly possible.
He could hear the rampaging stomps of Marble trying to keep up behind him.
Marble's one of Aaron's many enemies.
And he's made a lot of enemies; from seven years old, to up til now.
Marble never liked how Aaron was the bigger talk of the town than him...back home, so Marble wanted to beat the mess outta him for 'being better than he is'.
Yet, while Marble might've been the toughest nail in the toolbox, he wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer.
So while the fights between the two might end up making a path of destruction, it was always easy to trap Marble.
Aaron just always had to wait for the right opportunity, while buying himself time to find it while keeping Marble busy.
That was the messy part. Very messy part.
Now as for what I meant by 'back home' was-
"GET BACK HERE!"
*sigh* Again, with the interrupting...
We see Aaron make a sharp right, with Marble ending up crashing into a building, before continuing chasing him.
Aaron looked about to see what he could use to stop Marble.
He didn't however notice the fleet of aircrafts/flying campers coming flying in the sky, catching up to Marble and him.
Well, trying too.
Aaron was almost too fast, and Marble was charging almost, I repeat, almost as quick as he was.
From above, they saw Aaron run between two driving cars. Marble stopped in front of them before picking up both cars, and chucking them at Aaron. Aaron felt that sixth sense of his go off again. Without turning around or stopping, Aaron moved to his left and put both hands over his head, and caught the car, as if it didn't weigh at least a ton, before lowering it back to the street carefully without a scratch. Same with the other car.
Marble continued his chase.
Aaron turned the upcoming corner, and hid behind it when Marble came.
He looked around for Aaron, but couldn't see him.
Aaron himself went back to looking to see what he could use to get Marble with.
By chance, he spotted a towering crane over a row of buildings.
He saw it and smirked. There was construction nearby; they always have something.
Appeared in Aaron's right hand in a quick flash of light was a gold five-pointed star.
Aaron looked over the corner and saw Marble still looking around for him.
Aaron then flung the star like a shuriken, and it flew right past Marble's face, curved around midair, and dug into the fire hydrant nearby.
Water shot out of the cut and splashed down onto Marble's head.
He went to the hydrant and saw the star lodged into it.
Another star hit him in the back of the head. He looked behind him and saw Aaron. He was tossing a star up and down in his hand.
"C'mon, Stone-for-Brains, I thought this was a chase." he said before flinging the star towards Marble.
It bonked the stone being on the forehead, making Marble let out another frustrated yell.
He charged after Aaron when he sped off again.
Overhead, in one of the campers, a certain boy in shades said into one of the comms after seeing the scene, "This is Numbuh 1 of Sector V. We have a clear visual. Permission to engage?"
"Hold. For now." he got in reply, likely from one of the higher ups.
"To any and all operatives, keep your distance. Do not take action until I give the order to."
The boy understood before ending the call.
Just in time to hear another *CRASH!*. He looked and spotted the crane behind the buildings tilt slightly.
At the construction yard...
*BASH!*
Aaron ducked in time to avoid Marble's fist, and it hit and demolished a stone pillar of the part of the ground floor they were standing on.
Marble slammed his fists, expecting to hit Aaron, but he was already gone, and made the ground crack.
"Miss me! Miss me! Now you gotta- You know what? Forget I said anything."
Marble looked in the direction of Aaron's taunt, saw his stupid grin, and charged over to hit him again, and when he did,
*SMASH!*
Aaron jerked to the right to avoid another punch, which ended up hitting the wall behind him, leaving a massive hole in its place.
This sorta thing repeated up until the building started to shift a bit, and the intact walls started to crack. The weight of this multi-story building was gradually overcoming the structural strength which was weakening with every hit from Marble.
Luckily, there was no one else inside this building.
Right now, we see Marble charging towards Aaron.
Without stressing out or panicking, Aaron made another star appear in his hand; this star was glowing unlike his regular throwing stars.
He threw it, and when it hit Marble's face, it combusted into a sizable burst of bright light and heat.
We'll dub these flash stars.
The bright light hit Marble's eyes, blinding his vision him in the process. He shut his eyes, but kept running.
Right into the ground floor's final support.
Aaron saw his opportunity to get out of there.
He sped out the front entrance right when the place started to rumble and crumble.
Marble regained his vision, but looked around to see that Aaron was no longer present in the building.
And before he could do anything else, the entire eight-floor building fell down on him.
Aaron stopped running when he was a good distance from the building.
He turned his head and watched the building fall down.
"Sorry, Marble," Aaron said while stretching, "you brought that on yourself. *dusts off clothes* Literally."
Relax, Marble's not dead. He can take all that rubble, but Aaron knows it won't hold him forever.
He searched the construction site from his spot. He spotted a container suspended above by some rope and wood supports.
Aaron knew what he could do.
He then sped off to a different part of the site to get what he needed.
You can just see him as a blur running around the site.
What he didn't notice was that those flying campers from earlier idling in the air outside the site.
Through their special technology, they observed what Aaron was doing.
Upon close inspection, Aaron had first marked a large 'X' on the dirt ground, ran off then came back with a sack of sand, jumped high and dumped the sand back into the container above. He did the same thing with a sack of gravel, some buckets of water, and of course, some cement. Aaron balanced on the sides of the container and ran around the edge quickly, stirring the mixture. He then leapt off of it, and grabbed onto an upright pole. He swung around it fast, and when he let go, his momentum sent him soaring towards the container, and he kicked it with all his power, and while still suspended in the air, it slid then came to a stop high above the X in the ground.
Aaron then landed some feet away from the X, and with his back turned, he counted down with his fingers, "In five, four, three, two, one. *snaps fingers*"
*SMASH!* "I'M GONNA DESTROY YOU!"
Marble smashed his way out of the building's remains, and Aaron could hear his rampaging stomps getting closer and closer behind him.
What happened next, you had to see in slow motion.
All the stars on Aaron's clothes glowed, and right when Marble was right behind him, Aaron spun around and gave Marble a power-packed punch smack dab in the middle of his face.
The blow sent him flying off his feet!
Aaron wasn't gonna to trap him yet. He had to tire him out first. He might be able to feel physical pain, but that didn't mean he couldn't feel exhausted.
After Marble got up, a fight between the two broke out. And Aaron was winning.
Marble's the type who punches first and thinks later. Aaron's the type to think while punching because his brain functions as fast as he does.
We see Aaron slide under Marble's legs, get up, and twirl around with a kick to Marble's back, making him stumble forward a bit.
Before Marble could hit him, all the stars on Aaron glowed again, and in Aaron's hands appeared, in a flash of light, was a large goldish-yellow mallet with a star on each side of it.
Aaron swung, and it hit Marble onto his behind with a forceful *WHACK!*.
The mallet dissipated from Aaron's hands, then another throwing star appeared in each of them. Aaron threw them past Marble, and it was revealed that these had strings attached to them. Aaron called these star hooks.
The stars each wrapped around something sturdy, and Aaron pulled back with all of his strength. When he released his potential energy, he slingshot towards Marble's head feet first, sending him from sitting upright to laying down flat.
Aaron stopped him from getting up by leaping up into the air, somersaulting, then shooting down fast, planting his foot into his chest area.
The impact made the ground shake.
Aaron cartwheeled off him, and watched as he got on his feet.
He was gonna let out another yell, but Aaron threw another flash star at his face.
He was blinded again, but he just kept throwing punches expecting to hit Aaron.
He didn't because Aaron kept leaning back and/or to the side to avoid each punch.
"What's the matter? Seeing stars?" Aaron quipped while dodging.
Aaron then leapt over Marble, and threw some more star hooks, and they wrapped around Marble's biceps as he landed on his back.
Marble then started charging while still blinded. Fortunately, the restraints Aaron had on Marble helped steer him around the construction site.
Well, into stuff around the construction site.
He steered Marble into metal pipes, some bricks, and some stacks of wood planks.
They kept going until they were right back where they started.
When Marble got his vision back, he flung Aaron off his back saying, "Get. OFF."
Aaron landed with his back on the dirt ground.
Marble stomped over and tried to punch Aaron again, but Aaron caught it with both hands. With some more force, he pushed Marble away from him, before flinging himself onto his feet.
Still angry, Marble picked up a nearby crate and threw it at Aaron.
He effortlessly evaded it with some agility and nimbleness, before he spun around and gave Marble another powerful punch to the face.
He got knocked off his feet, right onto the X Aaron made on the ground.
"Marble, you need to stop snacking on those five-finger combos. You're gonna pass out." Aaron joked.
"I can take it. I can take whatever you throw at me."
Marble was wearing out, but he didn't wanna stop.
He got back up on his feet, and exclaimed with some exhaustion, "You can't dethrone a king!"
"Your majesty." Aaron started, then threw yet another flash star at Marble's face, blinding him again when it went off.
He then threw a star hook from each hand at the edges of the container above Marble.
"Allow me to build you a statue in your honor."
With a swift yank, Aaron pulled the container loose, making the liquid concrete spill out of it.
Marble didn't react in time and he was then covered head to toe in concrete. He moved, but the concrete dried fast, trapping him where he stood.
Aaron tapped Marble in his state, before proudly smiling with his arms folded.
"Michelangelo, eat your heart out."
Aaron felt good.
He checked the sign outside the construction site, and as it turns out, the building he made Marble level was meant to be torn down anyway, so in a way, he did the construction crew a favor. That, Marble was successfully captured, and surprisingly, there was less damage than last time they fought.
Hat triiiiick~!
"Now, let's just hope that Greta's got that cell finished up." Aaron said looking at Marble. As he said that, his body was enveloped in light again. When it went away, he was back in the clothes he was in before.
Aaron stomped his foot on the ground, and the impact sent Marble off the ground.
Aaron held up one hand high, and he caught him.
He should be as heavy as eight hundred and fifteen pounds, but Aaron's, like, next level strong.
"Now lets get you out of here."
Aaron's sixth sense went off again, and he saw those campers from before swoop in and land in the grounds of the site.
The doors of them all opened and he heard one voice say, "Go! Go! Go! Move it!"
More kids like the ones before had emptied out of the campers before they aimed their weapons at Aaron and Marble.
"...Or not."
He heard clicks from some of the weapons and said, "Whoa, hey! I am not your enemy!"
There was a commanding voice that said, "State your name, teenager!"
"I'm just gonna walk out of here-"
"Now!"
"Geez, you don't gotta yell! *sigh* Look, I kinda have to go. I've probably got less than a few hours before-"
"You're staying right there!"
"Come on! Do you not see the large statue guy trapped in concrete that I'm holding above my head right now?! I gotta hurry before-"
Aaron stopped when heard a small cracking sound, and locked back at Marble. There was a crack forming on the bottom of the concrete casing.
Marble was starting to try to break out.
Looks like everyone else noticed too, because their expressions changed when they saw the crack starting to form.
You can tell that they weren't gonna be able to put up a fight against Marble like Aaron did.
"Well that's not good." Aaron said before looking at the kids surrounding them, "Look, I know you don't know me and/or likely don't trust me, but I need to get him out of here for your safety. If he gets out, you all could be hurt or worse. I can't have that. You need to let me go!"
Aaron watched as the kids hesitated.
Even though Aaron apprehended Marble and kinda sorta helped them, they didn't really have enough reasons to trust him so he couldn't just leave. But if Marble broke out, they all could be in massive danger.
No one lowered their guard or stood down, but they also didn't take action.
After Aaron didn't get an answer, he knew he had to get out of there without their consent.
"*sigh* Fine. Don't hate me for this!"
Aaron threw four flash stars at the ground with his free hand, blinding everyone but himself when the area filled with the sudden light and warmth.
The attack took them by surprise and they let out pained screams when their eyes burned at the sudden light.
When the light went away, the teen who was carrying the concrete covered Marble was revealed to be no longer there.
The kids could all be seen rubbing their eyes trying to regain their vision.
Aaron was gone...but there was one of his throwing stars on the ground where he was standing.
While the kids were doing their best to see again, except the only one who looked away in time: Numbuh 1, A.K.A., Nigel Uno.
He walked over and picked it up.
He looked at it, and while seeing his reflection in the star, he was lost in thought.
Sunset, in an abandoned shipping yard...
Aaron skids to a halt at a very large hanger, that overgrown and rusting, with it's garage doors wide open.
Holding Marble up with both hands now, he ran quickly into the hanger, to its far side in the hanger in the back, and put Marble down.
The cracks were starting to grow bigger.
Looking closely at the wall, he pressed on the only bolt in the wall that was star shaped.
It was a hidden button which activated an elevator right where Aaron was standing.
A rectangular platform suddenly lowered, taking Aaron and Marble downwards.
When it stopped a couple miles underground, Aaron picked up Marble again and ran off the platform and into this big, brightly lit, sky blue room.
There up ahead, there were these five large computer monitors that were a part of a computer system.
Sitting in the chair in front of these computers, typing stuff in on the holographic keyboard was someone who you'd less likely expect to be working with a teenager.
She's seven years old, has blonde hair, fair skin, a blue and gray argyle sweater, navy skirt, and grey shoes with blue laces. She also has a pair of round blue goggles resting on her forehead, a smart watch of some kind on her right wrist, a blue hairclip in her hair, and a friendship bracelet on her left wrist. There's also a blue backpack on her back, with gray line patterns and a star on the lower third of each side.
This girl's name was Greta Kane, and she and Aaron have quite the history, and have been at each other's side for a long time.
She's incredibly gifted with an I.Q. of 315, is great with science and engineering, and is Aaron's adoptive sister.
More on that next chapter.
"Greta!" Aaron said in a hurry, making Greta turn around in her chair quickly. Her eyes widened seeing Marble.
"The cells! They ready?!"
"Yeah! Just hit the button next to it to open and close them!" she responded.
In a blur, Aaron ran though the corridor to the left. on his way, he could feel the cracks on the concrete growing.
At the end of this long hallway, was a room with multiple open cell rooms.
Aaron then placed Marble down in one right when the concrete keeping him trapped was almost done breaking.
Aaron stepped out of the cell, and swiftly pressed a button beside the opening, making a thin, but dense as titanium wall of glass lower down, sealing Marble inside.
Just in time to see Marble burst out of the concrete.
He saw Aaron and tried charging at him, but when he hit the glass, he couldn't break it and ended up falling back.
He yelled something at Aaron, but he couldn't hear him. Greta designed the cell so sound could enter it, but not come out of it.
Aaron sighed in relief before saying, "Good luck breaking out of there, big guy." He then walked away.
He didn't get to see Marble trying his best to break out of the cell to no avail.
Aaron let out another sigh when he came back into the main room of this hideout.
"Found anything yet?" he asked Greta when he stood behind her chair while she was working on the computer.
"No, not yet." she said, "P.H.I.N., anything?"
P.H.I.N. is Greta's personal Productively Helpful Intelligent Network. He helps Greta with anything computer related, and can connect and/or hack into pretty much anything.
"NEGATIVE." P.H.I.N. replied to Greta.
Greta sighed. She then asked Aaron while not looking away from the computer, "What happened up there?"
Aaron then told Greta and P.H.I.N. everything that went on that day.
The wrecked street, the armed kids in armor, Marble, and how it all ended at the construction site.
"Wait, kids and flying campers?" Greta asked when Aaron finished, turning around to face him. He nodded. She turned the chair back around while asking, "P.H.I.N., can you find me anything about kids and machines that fit what Aaron said?"
"UNDERSTOOD. ALTHOUGH IT MIGHT TAKE SOME TIME."
"I guess we can pull an all-nighter..."
"Nope." Aaron interrupted, "It's getting late. Bedtime, Greta."
Greta turned the chair around to face him. "Aww, but I'm not even...*yawns* tired..."
Aaron folded his arms and raised one eyebrow.
"Okay, I am...P.H.I.N.?"
"ALREADY FINDING INFORMATION. WE'LL HAVE RESULTS IN THE MORNING."
"Okay." Greta got out of the chair, and she and Aaron went to the hall on the right.
"Man, I still can't believe we built this place in a day and a half." Aaron commented.
While these two are walking down the hall to their living quarters, allow me to finally say this:
Aaron and Greta are from an alternate universe.
How alternate?
Well, in their universe, children, adults, teenagers, people of all ages, races, sizes, and cultures actually get along.
There's next to no adult tyranny, schools aren't boring and actually make learning fun, there's mostly no family issues, and thank's to children's imagination and creativity, adults' manufacturing skills and knowledge, and...a thing all teenagers have, technology in this place is next level!
I know! It sounds so hard to believe!
If you thought that sounded like something, I'll have you know that there's a rough percentage of 94.7 that represents the people of that universe who love the way their life is.
...And the other percentage of 5.3 think otherwise...
That percentage thinks that the way things are is chaos or madness in their eyes, and/or try to change the order, loving, and happiness of that world.
Like Marble for example. He was just a regular teenage neighborhood bully named Marcus Karter, but what was meant to be a clean up punishment led to an incident in the school chemistry room, and some mixture made an irreversible effect on his height, strength, and skin's density.
He now had a short fuse and a lot of strength and durability since that day.
Luckily, he's been stopped multiple times, as well as a bunch of other villains. How? Thanks to Aaron and Greta.
This duo, calling themselves The Superstars, have saved countless lives and bonds from a lot of people who wanted to hurt them.
...but, now that they're in another reality, and now that there's a chance that more of their villains could be here, the fact that they have no way of getting them under control without a way of tracking the villains, and having a way of getting back to their reality isn't exactly in their hands yet, that's gonna be pretty difficult.
At least they've got one of them for now.
It's now nighttime, and Aaron and Greta headed in for the night.
Greta set P.H.I.N. to find any information about what Aaron was told and give anything she found to him and Greta in the morning.
Right now, Aaron's seen asleep in a bed. His sleepwear consists of a plain white T-shirt, and some black sweatpants.
He was sleeping soundly until he felt a tap on him.
When he woke up, he saw Greta standing beside his bed. Her sleepwear consisted of a T-shirt with the picture of an atom, and some indigo shorts.
Aaron sat up, pulled out his glasses and put them on, then asked Greta, "Nightmare?"
She shook her head no.
"Well, what's the matter?"
"Aaron," Greta said a bit somberly, "we've been gone for three days now. I'm starting to miss home.
This is our first time universe jumping, and we've been here for a while. Do you think-"
Greta stopped when she felt a hand on her.
Aaron picked Greta up and sat her down beside him.
"Greta, I told you this before. It might take a while, but we'll get back home to our reality somehow."
"I know, but what if-"
"We won't be stuck here forever, Greta. We have people back at home that count on and love us. We're not just gonna drop it and leave it all behind because we're in another universe. We will find a way back, I promise. Have I ever broken a promise before?"
Greta looked away to think, then looked back at Aaron to shake her head.
"And hey, we still got each other. And you can always count on me when you've got any more doubts. Superstars stick together, remember?"
Greta smiled when Aaron brought up their motto.
"Yeah, Superstars stick together."
She gave Aaron a hug and they stayed like that for a while.
After, Greta asked to spend the night in Aaron's bed for tonight and he let her.
Greta went to sleep before he did, and before he went to sleep, Aaron looked at Greta, thinking,
"I promise, Greta. We will get home."
