Prologue
Years had passed since that War for the Holy Grail, a conflict that left a deep mark on Shirou Emiya. Although the battle had ended, his desire to follow the path of a hero and reach the star he longed for did not fade. However, between the flashes of her memories and his constant training, something else stood in the way of her search for him.
From time to time, on silent nights, Shirou would drift into dreams that seemed more like visions. In those enigmatic dreams, a man dressed in white appeared to her, always uttering the same words: "She needs your help." Shirou couldn't fully discern who "she" was or the extent of the help that was required, but the persistence of the message tormented him.
Every dream left Shirou with a feeling of urgency and duty. He knew that these dreams were not simple chimeras, but rather something that transcended the limits of reality. And so, between the duality of his daytime life and the enigmatic nights of dreams, Shirou found himself on a constant search, trying to decipher the meaning behind those dreamlike visions.
The wind whispered secrets in the vastness of the desert, while Shirou Emiya continued his night journey towards the nearest town. The sand, illuminated by the silver light of the moon, created dancing shadows as he passed. It was in this quiet solitude that he suddenly glimpsed a figure in the distance, walking towards him, as the figure got closer, Shirou felt that this was no chance encounter.
"Who are you and what do you want?" Shirou questioned cautiously, facing the mysterious figure. The man did not respond immediately, preferring to suggest a change of scenery. With a gesture of his cane, reality faded away to give way to a field full of flowers, illuminated by the light of the moon.
"I guess I'll start by answering your questions," the man said, removing his hood and revealing his face.
Surprise took over Shirou when he recognized the figure of the famous magician
Surprise overcame Shirou as he recognized the figure of the famous magician. "My name is Merlin, the Flower Wizard, and I suppose you've already seen me."
Shirou nodded, recognizing Merlin from the images recorded in Arturia's memories. "Yes, I remember seeing your figure in Arturia's memories, but I don't understand, why did you give me those dreams to ask for my help?" he asked with more confidence, although intrigue and uncertainty lingered in his gaze.
"Look, kid, there's a lot to explain to you, but I don't have enough time," he pointed out, focusing his attention on Shirou. "Listen well, I've called you mainly because you share a connection with Arturia, and I need you to help her."
Surprise reflected in Shirou's eyes. "Arturia? But she shouldn't be in this world anymore..." he asked with concern evident in his voice as he remembered scenes from the past.
Merlin nodded, acknowledging the young man's understandable confusion. "It's true what you say. However, it's not the same Arturia you know. This is a version of her from another world, to be exact, a British Lostbelt, where fairies rule. The situation is delicate, boy. If you're willing to help this Arturia, knowing that she is not the same one you know and that the place you are going to is dangerous, possibly facing death in the attempt, will you still help her?"
Shirou, without hesitation, responded with determination. "Even if this Arturia is different from the one I know, she is still Arturia. I will do whatever it takes to help her." His firm gaze towards Merlin expressed unwavering conviction.
Merlin, with a smile, spoke words that echoed in Shirou's mind. "I understand. It seems that I was not wrong in choosing you. I have no time left; you will go through an overwhelming and dangerous journey, but I see that you still have your scabbard, well, it will serve you on your journey. Anyway, I found someone who suits you to help. We will meet later. I have faith in you, Emiya Shirou."
With that, Merlin's form began to fade into the magical wind around him. Shirou, still processing the information, looked around for answers when, suddenly, a man with a peculiar outfit, but bearing a resemblance to him, approached.
Shirou, still processing the information, looked around him for answers when, suddenly, a man with a peculiar outfit, but bearing a resemblance to him, approached.
"Emiya Shirou, right? My name is Senji Muramasa, a blacksmith who has dedicated his life to forging swords. I came to help you. That wizard told me everything about you, and I accepted his request because we have some kind of connection between you and me." "Muramasa said calmly.
"A connection?" Shirou asked, feeling the intrigue and uncertainty.
"That's right. You are my descendant, and we both have a goal in this Lostbelt. I'll be direct, boy. I was summoned for the purpose of assassinating Morgan," Muramasa stated seriously, his eyes reflecting the gravity of his mission.
"I was afraid so. Since we're talking about Brittany's time, it was impossible to rule out Morgan," Shirou replied, concern showing in his eyes.
"That's right, kid. That's why I'm here. I came to give you my power, merging with you to give birth to a 'Demi-Servant'," he declared, approaching Shirou with determination. She extended her hand towards Shirou's chest, fusing with him in a unique combination of man and sword. Muramasa disappeared, but not before leaving words that would resonate in Shirou's heart: "Emiya Shirou, with this you will gain my power, my skills and my knowledge."
Shirou felt himself invaded by a new force, his being imbued with the swords that now decorated his reality marble thanks to Muramasa's legacy. The last words of the blacksmith echoed in his mind: "You will have a portal in front of you that will take you to your destination. Find the master of Chaldea, he will explain everything to you; unfortunately I do not know what year you will be sent to but have faith, now you are more powerful. Remember, accomplish my goal. I leave it in your hands, boy."
Power flowed through Shirou, who gratefully murmured, "Senji Muramasa, thank you for this. I promise in your name not to waste what you have given me and I will fulfill the goal of defeating Morgan and saving Arturia." With renewed determination, Shirou advanced towards the portal, ready to face the challenges of the Lostbelt.
